About this villa rental
The perfect luxury boutique trullo residence with private swimming pool, outside kitchen and multiple external relaxing zones. South facing with incredible elevated views and breathtaking sunsets. Stylish modern interiors perfectly compliment the trullo's original stone architectural features. Trullo Falco is paradise for families or groups of friends with discerning taste looking for tranquility and luxury outdoor living and is the ideal destination for rest and relaxation. It sleeps six across three private suites.
This home is a traditional Puglian stone characterful trullo/villa, harmoniously restored and renovated in keeping with the rural simplicity of the region but with the addition of all the modern comforts you would expect of a luxury holiday home.
The interior dining and living room space is impressive and bright—a study in bone, beige and whites under a vaulted ceiling, with an artisan working fireplace created from recycled local stone. Bedrooms and bathrooms also feature vaulted or conical ceilings typical of traditional trullo architecture, and simple furnishings are accented by interesting antiques and natural textiles.
The outdoor living spaces, which set this home apart, are immersed in beautifully curated mediteranean gardens, with built-in stone sofa seating flanked by flowering beds, pebbled terraces with views over the estate, and poolside terraces of bleached stone offset by ornamental grasses, sculptural cacti, and the silvery shimmer of olive groves, leafy fig trees, and citrus orchards. There are a variety of idyllic relax zones to choose from in which to relax, read, enjoy some refreshments, or simply take in the magnificent elevated views.
The spacious pool terrace perches high over the olive grove below and the impressive fully equipped al fresco kitchen and dining room located only a few steps above it
Separated from the pool by mediteranean grasses and herb-filled stone planters, the outside kitchen features a stone prep island with an electric hob and fridge, a classic woodfired pizza oven, and barbecue grill adjacent to a shaded dining pergola furnished for those long lazy lunches and memorable dinners under the Puglian stars
Set elevated in the hills above Fasano, a land of rolling hills and Mediterranean vegetation, where vineyards and olive groves intersect idyllic agricultural fields, Trullo Falco features privileged views from its many terraces, pool deck, outdoor kitchen and dining area. The popular hilltop towns of the Valle d’Itria, including whitewashed Locorotondo, the iconic bleached streets of Ostuni, dramatic Cisternino and UNESCO heritage-classified Alberobello, are all quick drives from the property, as are beaches along the crystalline Adriatic coast and the sparkling Ionian shores. Timeless nearby port destinations include Polignano a Mare and Monopoli. The region is famed for its conical trulli homes, the fairytale-like, stacked stone roofed, former agricultural storages that now pop, newly whitewashed and restored, from its many hillsides.
Best described as modern rustic in style, the home charms with locally sourced antiques and natural textiles decorating its simple, stone-lined rooms.
During the quieter times of the year we are offering short breaks, however please note for stays of 6 nights or less, a cleaning fee of £200 will be applied and added to your booking payment.

The four of us stayed at Trullo from June 15th to 22nd, 2024. The house was indeed very nice, even better than the pictures on VRBO. Upon arrival, everything was spotless and fully functional. The house has been completely renovated with great attention to detail and is truly stunning. The hosts were very nice and helpful, offering suggestions on things to do in the region and recommending beaches to visit. There is also a guide to the charming villages around the house, which we visited during our stay.
The weather was hot, so we made good use of the patio and the swimming pool. Although the pool is not heated, it was warm due to the high temperatures of 36 to 38°C and sunny skies.

The house, patios and pool were ideal for our friend group to spend a week catching up, exploring towns, visiting the seaside, and soaking up the culture and sun. The large space meant that we weren't on top of each other and could relax and then enjoy meals, cocktails and the pool together. The house is within an hour drive to so many of the places we had on our list and the kind hosts added a helpful list of special local restaurants and places to visit! The home cooked meal available on our first night fed us for days! Delightful!

Trullo Falco is a beautiful, very private villa situated at the top of a small valley near Fasano. The area is a short drive from the sea and surrounded by beautiful Puglian towns and villages. There's even a small theme park, Fasanoland, a 15 minute drive away. We finally gave in to the 14 year old and were delighted to discover that there were no queues first thing in the morning and we were in and out in a couple of hours - parental Brownie points all round!
With 3 large ensuite double rooms, the villa was spacious and incredibly well equipped with absolutely everything we needed.
The outside space was perfect. The dining area, pool and fantastic outdoor kitchen (BBQ, pizza oven, hob AND a fridge!) are all conveniently near to each other while a separate outdoor lounge area was perfect for relaxing with a drink in the evening. There are lots of different, secluded spaces in the garden where you can split off into smaller groups to sit if you wish.
The views from the villa are fantastic. Every evening we watched stunning sunsets across the valley either from the terrace or even better, from the pool!
Throughout the process, Jon and Laura were available with information about the villa and were in contact the day before check in with directions and tips to help us on the journey.
The whole family (including a 14 and 17 year old) had a fantastic holiday and we thoroughly recommend Trullo Falco.

We had a wonderful stay at this great villa, beautiful inside and outside. Well furbished, with everything you need, great beds, and plenty of room for 6 adults. Very friendly and helpful owners. Outdoor kitchen is great, we had a very nice pizza dinner prepared by professional pizza chefs. Great location, fantastic view, close to all major sights and landmarks. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at this villa. The pictures do not do it justice! The sunsets are gorgeous over the valley. We wished we had had more time there.

My family and I had a wonderful vacation at Trullo Falco and we couldn't recommend it more! The property is extremely clean, beautifully decorated and well appointed. Jon and Laura are fabulous hosts and we truly enjoyed meeting them. We highly recommend scheduling a dinner and pizza with Lucretia. She is lovely and her food is delicious. We also recommend pasta making at nearby Casale Ruggerio and wine tasting at I Pastini. Polignano a Mare is also a must see - rent a boat! Such a great experience from beginning to end. Thanks again Laura and Jon!!!

Our stay here was the highlight of our 3 week vacation. John and Laura could not have been more hospitable. They gave wonderful suggestions for dinner, the beach and olive oil tasting. The house was beautifully furnished, comfortable and extremely clean. I highly recommend their villa. Thanks for a memorable week!

A fabulous stay in this lovely house! It could not have been more comfortable and well equipped. 3 lovely bedrooms all very private. The house is super stylish but simple and comfortable. Spacious communal area offering comfy sofas and a large dining area.
Lots of outdoor space offering stunning views. A variety of seating areas - both shaded & sunny - around the pool and amongst the very extensive and surrounding gardens all beautifully landscaped and planted by Jon. In early June these were a beautiful mix of wild fragrant flowers.
Jon & Laura are perfect hosts. Living nearby they are ‘on call’ and very friendly but also very conscious of our privacy.
We must also mention Lucretzia and her supply of delicious Italian meals. She is such fun!
A great location in a relatively rural area yet minutes from a great cafe and a short drive to a well stocked supermarket.
Also well placed for local sightseeing. Short drives to the many pretty historic
towns & various vineyards. We recommend the e-bike tour with lunch for a great day out.
We cannot recommend Trullo Falco more highly. We look forward to returning soon!

Lovely property with fantastic pool, terraces and views over the valley. Comfortable inside space for relaxing of an evening and well equipped if you want to occasionally eat at home. A beautiful renovation with original features and new touches elegantly combined. Some interesting towns and beaches in easy reach, we would especially recommend Matera for a day trip and Alberebello with its trullis’ for an evening wander and glass of the local wine. Thanks to our kind hosts for a great stay.

We had a lovely holiday in Puglia and stay at Trullo Falco. The villa is decorated beautifully throughout, and the outside areas are too.
We really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen area, pizza oven and grill (though we could have done with a bit more wood for the oven)
We loved the pool area and the different loungers and seat options around the gardens. Lovely terraces to sit at and we enjoyed breakfast at the outdoor dining table every day and the beautiful sunsets at night.
We had a few niggles, but Jon and Laura were always on hand to try and sort any problems out. The guide they leave is extremely helpful and their advice on what’s app and in person too, was of great help. they are lovely people and hosts.
The villa is situated in a good location for visiting many of the pretty and architecturally pleasing towns and villages. Though you do need a car to explore and eat out really.
I was surprised when we arrived that it is in close proximity to other houses and villas, as it didn’t appear to be in the pictures-but it is designed in a way, so you are not overlooked by anyone and you feel in total privacy, which was perfect for us as a family.
We would definitely recommend a stay at Trullo Falco and a holiday in Puglia.

We spent two weeks at Trullo Falco and had a fabulous family holiday. The Villa is in a great location, about 7 mins from beautiful Locorotondo and within 20 mins of picturesque towns, beaches, and a great water park, all an easy drive away. The Villa itself has everything for a great stay, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. We spent most of our time in the fabulous pool deck area. Jon and Laura were great hosts, providing very helpful information, useful in helping us plan our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended!

We stayed at this beautiful villa with a family of 6 adults and one baby, and had a perfect stay! The location is perfect to explore the stunning local towns, and the villa is gorgeous with everything you could possibly need. The hosts Laura and Jon were wonderful and always there to help with anything we might need! Would definitely recommend and hope to go back again ourselves.

Unparalleled
Trullo Falco is second to none. The pictures are spectacular, but the home and grounds are even better in person. Jon and Laura have considered every detail to make this place both comfortable and beautiful - from the furnishings to the bed linens to the well-stocked kitchen and landscaping (oh my-it’s unreal!). We didn’t want to leave. We took advantage of the extra services offered, and Lucrezia prepared two divine meals for us; what a treat. The home is centrally located for exploring, and Jon and Laura are wonderful hosts. The best VRBO we’ve ever rented, and we won’t think twice about returning.

September week at Trullo Falco
This is a delightful trullo in the rolling hills of Puglia with great views across a valley of olive groves. Jon and Laura are fabulous hosts who met us on arrival and showed us around the beautiful property and gave us invaluable advice on the best places to see and eat our in the area. They had also sent us excellent information in advance and stayed in touch up to arrival.
The house and gardens are beautifully designed and maintained and make for a really relaxing and enjoyable place to enjoy Puglia. It is ideally located near to places of interest.
Jon and Laura could not have been more helpful throughout our very enjoyable stay.

Beautiful family villa for restful holiday
Trullo Falco is well located for easy access to the hilltop towns of the area and 20 minutes from the coast which made for easy and varied day trips or convenient to pop out for evening meals, morning coffee or gelato! Staying around the villa was also a popular family option with a lovely pool area and selection of terraces for different times of the day. The overall location is tranquil, the villa furnished to a high standard and Jon and Laura charming hosts ever ready to offer advice if needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and in Puglia.

Villa Falco Summer 2019
We thoroughly enjoyed our two-week holiday at the Villa Falco. The house is in an excellent location for exploring the region around Fasano and its small towns and restaurants. The villa itself possesses a great panoramic view of the olive trees and whitewashed Truli houses in the valley beyond. Jon and Laura are attentive hosts and we would highly recommend their property for those wanting to watch the sun go down with a glass of prosecco in the evening.

Trullo Falco is a fantastic property, it is simply stunning. The house has been renovated and furnished to a very high standard with some really nice features, both inside and out. There are lots of seating areas outside to help you catch or avoid the sun and the use of local limestone materials throughout is not only beautiful but helps to keep the interior nice and cool. The 3 bedrooms are individually air conditioned, so guests have the choice of whether to use the aircon or not, which is a nice feature. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and never ventured too far away from the stunning pool that was a true delight or the covered veranda for spectacular sunsets and drinks. The house is in a lovely scenic location, with local amenities close by and only a short drive to Fasano, Locorotondo or Cisternino. Jon and Laura are very personable and great hosts. We thoroughly recommend Trullo Falco.

Simply Stunning...a paradise in Puglia
We honestly could not have had a more perfect stay at Trullo Falco. Jon and Laura made us, and our two young children, feel so incredibly welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic stay, from emailing us a list of family friendly days out before we arrived, to the gorgeous hamper of goodies we arrived to, complete with treats for the children. We could not have asked for more welcoming and helpful hosts.
The Trullo itself is stunning. Decorated with such beautiful and tasteful style, and very well equipped. The outdoor kitchen area is fantastic - particularly the pizza oven - and we loved sitting out on the terrace admiring the breathtaking views and sunsets.
The trullo is excellently located for exploring all that Puglia has to offer - beautiful hilltop towns (Martina Franca, Monopoli and Locorotondo among our favourite), beaches and the breathtaking Matera. We loved returning to the house each evening to relax and even managed a few dips in the pool despite it being the end of October!
Thank you to Jon and Laura for an unforgettable holiday, we cannot recommend Trullo Falco highly enough and will be sure to be back!

Wonderful holiday and outstanding accommodation.
This property is totally outstanding and in a beautiful location. It’s a fantastic base if you want to visit all the beautiful towns in the area .
Laura and Jon were there to meet us at the accommodation and showed us round the property. They were both so helpful and charming and perfect hosts . They provided some delicious goodies, fruit and essentials to start the holiday .
The kitchen has every appliance you could possibly need and is well stocked with plates, cups etc . There are plastic cups for the poolside area which is helpful.

The dining area and longe is very spacious and relaxing - you will feel very relaxed here .
The outside area is vast with a large dining table and lots of other areas to sit out . They are all well maintained.

I would definitely recommend staying here .

A Wonderful Home in a Unique Area of Italy
Trullo Falco is an absolutely wonderful place. We are both hosts and travelers of 40 years and this is one of the nicest places, in one of the nicest areas, we've visited. Immaculately clean, well appointed, and tastefully decorated it is in a perfect central location in Puglia to visit all the area has to offer. We've been to Italy many times but this really is unique with a Trulli town just 15 minutes from the house, two beautiful seaside towns about the same distance and the amazing "cave" town of Matera about an hour. Jon & Laura have done a wonderful job of converting this old Trulli home to a modern standard. It is peacefully quiet with beautiful views of the valley below. They are surrounded by terraces of olives and fruit trees. Good restaurants are with 10 minutes. It was a bit chilly in October for the pool but would be a great spot to relax in the sun on warmer days. We highly recommend the area and this house in particular.

Fantastic villa with amazing views over the Trulli littered countryside
From start to finish enjoyed our holiday here. There is so much to see and do in Puglia with the beautiful hilltop fortified towns and then home to chill by the pool. Perfect. Jon and Laura are great hosts who helped us with booking vineyard tours and even hired our own pizza chef to cook us pizza In the villa’s own pizza oven.

Lovely, well equipped villa in great location
The villa is in a very convenient location for the coast and for the lovely hilltop towns of Cisternino, Locorotondo and Martina Franca. It's also only an hour away from Lecce and Matera which are also well worth visiting. The villa is well equipped and the new outdoor kitchen with barbeque and pizza oven was well used by us. The pool is a welcome addition and provides a good cooling off space. It is unheated and could probably do with a cover to keep the heat in overnight - less of a problem during the summer months.
Jon and Laura are extremely good hosts and have provided very comprehensive house and local guides. Would recommend this villa without any reservations.

A well-located, well-appointed, stylish and comfortable holiday property
We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time staying at Trullo Falco. Jon and Laura are thoughtful, helpful and considerate hosts and are there if you need them. The house and grounds are immaculately presented. A lot of care and attention has gone into the conversion and restoration to create an excellent holiday property. The rooms are spacious, the layout works, and the furniture, fixtures and fittings are top quality.
Outside, there are plenty of places to sit and relax, and you will never tire of the view down the valley from the terrace. The pool is a decent size, either for messing about with the kids, swimming a few lengths, or just cooling off and taking in the view.
If you can drag yourself away, there's plenty to see and do nearby, from picturesque hilltop towns and villages well worth to exploring, to an underground walk through the Castellana caves.Or you can be on one of the many local beaches in about 15 minutes.
We enjoyed olive oil tasting at a local masseria, which Jon helpfully booked for us, and there's loads of other activities that Jon & Laura can help you organise should you wish.
If you are considering a stay in Puglia, this is an excellent choice.

Trullo Falco was very comfortable and enjoyable.
The owner's attention to detail was exemplified, by a the angled entry to the closet in the bedroom closest to the kitchen. As one who bumps his head often on sharp corners - the owners had cut a corner to the closet down so that one would not hit the corner. It is a small thing but one that reflects the care the owners have given to the detail in the house.
It is in a great location for walking or running as it is on a ridge and there are several directions and side roads that one can take and only encounter minimal traffic and thereby explore the neighboring villas and environs. The pool was well maintained and the owners were very attentive to our needs. There were ample utensils, dishes, glasses, and cutlery for us -as we cooked our meals at Trullo Falco out of the 7 days we were there. The refrigerator was ample size as was the stove and range. All in all an excellent get away place.
The Pizza restaurant the owners recommend - which is a less than 5 minute drive away - is exceptional. It has an antipasti that just keeps on giving. The beginning platter is the usual meats and cheeses and other items but is then followed by several dishes of interesting food from cooked vegetables to some small pasta dishes - and each time we ordered it on different days, the added servings were different - sort of surprises every time.
The location of Trullo Falco is very convenient to visiting many other sites in the area. We found it easy to visit Alberbello, Locorotondo, Matera, Lecce, Polignano, Monopoli. We flew into Bari and it was an easy 50 minute drive from Trullo Falco back to the airport.

Highly recommend Trullo Falco
We were a group of two couples and we thoroughly enjoyed our week’s stay at Trullo Falco. The house is beautifully renovated, with high quality fittings and luxury detailing in the furnishing and styling. Jon and Laura have clearly been passionate about providing guests with comfort and serenity.
Arriving late on a Saturday night after a couple of testing flights, we were warmly welcomed by Jon and Laura who were superb hosts, showing us the details of the house and making sure we were welcome at the local pizza restaurant at which the Antipasto of the House is the best we’ve ever had. They thoughtfully provided us with a welcome package of some food and drinks, including a bottle of Puglian wine, local bread, milk, cheese, fruits, and Laura’s home made apricot jam to get us started for the next morning. The jam was delicious and the welcome gesture greatly appreciated.
We’ve rented many houses over a number of years and we like to cook and eat as locals do. The kitchen in Trullo Falco is very well equipped with plenty of utensils, serving crockery and good quality appliances. We enjoyed eating outside, overlooking the pool and the calming valley of trees and trulli homes, that changed colour in the setting sun.
While we visited and enjoyed most of the local towns such as Locorotondo, Alberobello, Monopoli, Polgnano a Mare, Martina Franca and Lecce, our highlight was a day trip to Matera. It was just over an hour’s drive from Trullo Falco but the history of the town is amazing, and hiring a local guide is well worthwhile as the old town is pedestrian only, and quite extensive with a maze of steps and pathways.
We had a great week at Trullo Falco, relaxing whilst sightseeing in Puglia and we highly recommend Trullo Falco.

Fantastic Villa in a great location
We had a fantastic holiday at Trullo Falco. Jon and Laura were great with dealing with lots of questions before we booked and providing useful information and advice when we got there. They have updated the villa beautifully. If feels like pure luxury with fantastic attention to detail and immaculately clean. I was concerned about the lack of air con but they provided fans and that worked well with the thick walls keeping out the heat! We had 2 teenage boys there so our holiday was a mix of chilling, playing in the pool and exploring the area. The big supermarket had everything we needed but the little supermarket at the end of the road was great – had lovely bread, cold meats, cheese and tomatoes for long lunches. The restaurant at the end of the road next to the supermarket was also great – the pizzas were excellent and they also do take-aways. Take your phone to translate the menu for anything else! We explored a few places all of which were lovely and we ate out in different towns recommeded by Jon and Laura. I think my favourites were Alberobello – we went early morning before it got too touristy so I could take photos without lots of people in the way! Polignano a Mare was also beautiful and we had lovely suppers in Cisternino, Savelietri and Locorotondo. Finally the best way to end the day was sitting chilling with a cold bottle of cheap local wine watching the sun set over the olive groves! We would love to come back!

A Superb and Well Positioned Trulli in Puglia
What a superb Trulli! With a 180 degree south facing terrace and views over the Itria Valley, this property is outstanding in every aspect. What better way to spend an evening with fabulous sunsets from the terrace, pool and BBQ. The large pool also enjoys the same idyllic views across the valley.
The interior is spacious, cool and beautifully furnished, with comfortable beds and contemporary bathrooms. There is a well-equipped kitchen with more than you would ever need on any holiday!
This property is well positioned for exploring the Puglia region, and is in close proximity to Alberobella, Martina Franca, Locorotondo, with Ostuni and Lecce within easy travelling distance (train access also very good).
Jon & Laura are extremely kind & helpful hosts, giving lots of thought to their incoming guests. They are easily contactable for help and advise on the local area - nothing is too much trouble

We had a fantastic holiday at this stunning villa. The villa is tastefully furnished and well equipped. It is located on the side of a beautiful valley overlooking olive groves. It is well positioned for visiting the local towns of Locorotondo, Ostuni, Cisternino and Martina Franca which are beautiful with a good selection of restaurants. Beautiful, stylish and comfortable villa with views and large pool
We had a terrific week in this newly extended villa on a hillside with lovely country views. Lots of outside seating in different places and high quality bedding and towels. The owners could not be more helpful and the house is situated right in the middle of the most historic part of Puglia. Lovely coastal towns easily reached and all this meant a good choice of restaurants close to hand. We would highly recommend a visit to one of the loveliest villas we have rented anywhere in the world.

Stunning villa and location - not to be missed !!
Having experienced such a wonderful time on our first visit to Trullo Falco in 2016, we had no hesitation in returning in the spring and again in the July of 2017, given the stunning location and the immaculate presentation of the house. On every occasion we were not disappointed.
The trullo has the most fantastic location looking down the valley and it is set in such splendid isolation despite being set among other villas in a quiet and prestigious area of Laureto. For us, it was ideally located for all the “must see” towns such as Alberobello, Ostuni and Locorotondo in addition to being around a 15-20 minute drive from the beach. In the evening, it was only a short drive to the excellent restaurants providing local dishes and Puglian wine.
While the nightlife in the surrounding towns was restricted to the restaurants and bars, we saw a hive of activity at the weekends with lots of free live music and local fiestas providing all-round great entertainment.
The trullo itself is both well finished and well stocked with the furnishings being very comfortable. It is spacious and cool, both necessary for the summer months. Set in a large private garden, we were able to sit out at any time at the front and rear of the trullo and also on its roof and enjoy its tranquil setting whilst watching the sun set, accompanied by a chilled glass of local wine!!
We are aware that Trullo Falco is currently undergoing extensive renovations which will undoubtedly bring this already wonderful property to an outstanding level, which will be fit for groups of friends as well as families.
Laura and Jon have been wonderful hosts each time that we have visited. They have been extremely accommodating and provided us with advice and recommendations in relation to activities and restaurants within the local area.
For all these reasons, anyone looking to see the beauty of Puglia and live in high quality accommodation then we would definitely recommend Trullo Faco. Like us, you will not be disappointed.
