My partner and I stayed for 4 nights and loved it! It was a good location for exploring the castles in Northern Wales as well as Snowdonia National Park. It rained part of our trip but we were able to watch two beautiful sunsets from the house and walk by the sheep farms that are all around. The hosts were great with communication and making sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend for a peaceful stay.

Really beautifully presented cottage. Warm, cosy and very clean. Extremely well presented and equipped.
First class host!
We were a bit surprised to find that there was a very tall tv mast close by but you couldn’t see it from the property.

We wanted somewhere rural and quiet and the location of Play Hafod was a pleasant surprise when we arrived. The cottage and garden are immaculately maintained with everything needed for any length of stay. Warm and cosy on wet days and amazing views and sunsets in good weather. Very well located for short journeys into the Llyn peninsula or Snowdonia but tempting to get back early to the cottage and enjoy the view and facilities provided. Some good walks from the front door.

Beautiful cottage, spectacular scenery (when the weather is clear) Our weather wasn't great (storm Katherine!!) so low cloud obscured the view in the mornings. Gorgeous location, we met the hosts and they are lovely. Lots of places to visit. I have mobility issues otherwise a walk up on the hills would have been wonderful. Very well equipped and we would definitely come back.

The cottage was well laid out and very clean in a fantastic location. On arrival the owner had a bag of rubbish to pick up from property as we turned up a little early. This was no problem and we were made very welcome with reassurance if we needed anything it would be dealt with quickly. A small welcome package was a very nice touch and with the sunsets and star gazing being some of the best we have seen it won't be long before we go back again. Thank you for such a fantastic break away.

Booked the cottage for a long New Year weekend and hoped it would be good. Everything about the cottage was above our expectations. Hosts fantastic communications and welcome, property stunning location, property totally fantastic facilities and utterly spotless, great little welcome pack, superb location for Snowdonia, Criccieth, Pwllheli, Carnarvon. To be honest did not need a trip out log burner on, views of the bays utterly great. You may guess we really loved this place and would 100% suggest you try it.

We had a fantastic 4 nights at Plas Hafod. The cottage is beautifully remote yet easy to find with Siwsan’s expert directions! The property itself was immaculately clean and well appointed and we immediately felt at ease, even Ted our 3 year old terrier loved it! The garden is secure and he enjoyed exploring it while we took in the jaw dropping views. The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise and kept us going with treats for the duration of our stay! Great walks on the doorstep and so much to do and see within half an hour’s drive. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone thinking of staying in the foothills of Snowdonia. We’re already checking diaries to see when we can return! Thank you Siwsan and Neil!

Excellent property, in the hills surrounded by pure country side. Lovely setting and views. Property itself was excellent condition, modern living quarters with new amenities with stunning views. Garden was fenced in so dogs had free roam there. Only spent a few days here but the whole family will be returning again in the future

This place is truly stunning. The accomodation is immaculate, the hosts are very friendly and on site if you need them.
You can walk straight up on to one of the best ridge walks in Snowdonia from the front door one way, and have amazing sea views with stunning sun sets the other.
We will be back for sure. Thank you for a great stay.

We have just arrived back after a week and had a fab time. The property was clean and well equipped and managers were very helpful. It was however very cold and heating is via electric fan heaters and electric was extra via coin meter, night storage heaaters would be an option, also bed had summer duvet. Otherwise fantastic stay hubby loved the woodburner!

A little slice of Welsh heaven !!
A fantastic property which is warm and welcoming after a long day travelling or exploring the countryside. The owners were really helpful and thoughtfully provide everything you need for your stay. Enjoyed the real wood burning stove on a chilly evening and after lots of long strolls in the beautiful Llyn peninsula slept soundly in the comfy bed. Even the up t the cottage is an adventure but the spectacular views and sunsets are well worth it! Thank you.

Lovely cottage in a superb location
The glowing reviews of those guests who came before us were justified. This is a lovely cottage: comfortable, clean, well-located and boasting stunning views in all directions.
The beds were comfortable; the bathroom has a good bath / shower with plenty of hot water; the kitchen is well-equipped; the living room boasts a good TV with a range of DVDs and, best of all, a log-burning stove which, by the end of summer, we made use of.
For those who want to escape it all, there is no wifi. For those with teenage children, like us, there was good 4G connection on our phones and our mobile wifi gadget got a good reception.
Most importantly, the views over the Llwyn penninsula are stunning, with Snowdon's peaks a dramatic backdrop. The cottage is well positioned to explore the whole of Snowdonia; Angelsey; Llandudno and the north Wales coast; Porthmadog, Portmeirion and Criccieth a little further south. You'll have to drive but, so beautiful is the setting, this really isn't a problem.
We had a brilliant holiday. The cottage played a key part in ensuring we had such a fantastic time.
