About this house rental
This warm and charming oceanfront cottage, located on Spruce Head Island, is everything you’ve ever imagined Maine to be. There are sweeping views of Seal Cove, a tidal cove, from every room, so you’re never without something beautiful to look at. This 3-bedroom home is located on a quiet street with direct access to the water, so you can explore to your heart’s content in the kayaks that are available for your use.
Just imagine waking up to these amazing water views and the sound of the water lapping on the shore. You can enjoy your morning coffee on the deck while listening to the seagulls calling, and watching lobstermen pull their traps. Enjoy the warm summer sun shining on you, as you spend the perfect day on the deck reading a book, sipping cocktails with friends, or just enjoying the view. Evenings are meant for a glass of wine and a lobster supper with friends and family while you enjoy the cool ocean breezes and a magnificent sunset.
The first floor of this wonderful cottage boasts an open concept kitchen/living/dining area to enjoy spending time with your friends and family. There's a large master bedroom, laundry room, and full bathroom that are also located on the first floor. The second floor has two bedrooms and a large full bath. The expansive deck overlooks the water and is outfitted with a barbeque and outside dining area.
We doubt you would ever want to leave this slice of heaven, but if you would like to stretch your legs a little, Rockland is a short car ride away and features many wonderful restaurants and shops, some great museums, and even a recently-restored historic movie theatre. There are art galleries, golf courses, hiking trails, many islands to explore, and a myriad of boat rides from schooners, to a working lobster boat.
MidCoast Maine has something for everyone to enjoy, and the minute you step through the door you will feel right at home at Seabreeze Cottage. You’ll never want to leave!
Special note to our guests: if you have a larger group, there is a one-bedroom apartment above the "boathouse" next door. There is lots of privacy for all, but this space would allow you to bring all the important people in your life! Please see VRBO listing number 1575947 for more details.

We enjoyed our two weeks on the water. This location can’t be beat, and we loved watching all the birds from the dock.

This is a beautifully set property with a wonderful deck looking out at the water - and sunshine on the deck almost all day long. We had everything we needed - and more.

Second summer and booked our third! Seabreeze is wonderful. The location is perfect. Peaceful by the water but not far from Rockland and other Midcoast attractions. Relaxing. Owner thought of everything and Jennifer great to coordinate with in booking and throughout stay. Cannot wait to return. 🙂

My family had the most delightful Maine vacation at this lovely cottage! Great local lobster nearby, cute towns, amazing hiking and plenty of space to enjoy the views! We loved it and highly recommend!

Gorgeous views from every room, great little nooks to curl up with a good book, a deck to enjoy an evening drink, what's not to love? Lots of great information about the surrounding area and good suggestions for places to try--I'd add Claws and Rukus Donuts in Rockland and if you're up for a little bit more of a hike, The Desert of Maine in Freeport. Don't hesitate on this one!

Ahhh Maine
We had a fabulous week in Maine. The location is ideal and the cottage has everything you need. We cooked in several nights and ate far too much lobster at Mcloons which is only a mile away.

Great week!
Jennifer place was great! The house was very clean, the location was great. We were able to visit many places we enjoyed, including Mcloons ( so close!) and Acadia ( farther, but still a great day trip!). The lock was a bit fussy, but otherwise, a lovely stay.

If you plan on doing a lot of kayaking
This rental is as spectacular as advertised. It is fresh and clean and located in quintessential Maine. We loved it.
However, if you plan on doing a lot of kayaking, you need to know that there is literally no water at low tide. Those steep rocks end on a mud flat, so getting in and out of the water was strategically planned in the hours before and after high tide. This meant we couldn't be spontaneous, and didn't go on any sunset or sunrise adventures, as high tide during our stay was mid day. We did enjoy kayaking every day around Spruce Head and the other many small islands. It is a wonderful area to explore. Highlights included a close encounter with a tuna and large schools of herring swimming right under our boats!

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful cottage.
The cottage was spotless and has everything you would need for a wonderful experience. Definitely go to McLoons Lobster Shack for the best lobster rolls. Captain Parker in Rockland gave us a beautiful sailing tour in Penobscot Bay. Camden has great shopping and good restaurants. Lots of hiking in the area too.

peaceful, relaxing getaway
We have stayed at this location before under different ownership. We love the location with easy short drives to area attractions, day trips etc. The new owners have done a nice job with updates which makes it even more comfortable. Highly recommend this home and don't forget to go to McLoons!! :)

Perfect waterfront Maine home!
We LOVED everything about this house! What a gorgeous spot. Right on a beautiful cove where you can sit on the deck and watch the tide come in and out (and there is an 8+ foot difference between low and high tide!). The house is classic New England, open concept with picture windows throughout that bring in the views and the light into the house. Many birds (including loons!) call the cove home and it is so peaceful to watch them skim along the water and scoop up the occasional fish. The property is completely private and you feel like you are in your own little world. It's a one mile walk to McLoons Lobster Shack and less than 10 minutes to Rockland. Tons of farmers markets in the are with great produce and blueberry pies. We have stayed in houses all over the world and this just might be our favorite one. We could not recommend it more highly!

Awesome stay
My family and I made this our home base for a visit to see family in the area. The house was perfect for our family of five. Plenty of space, comfortable, well equipped, with a great deck and beautiful views. We’re already thinking about when we can come back!

Great girls’ getaway!
The house and location were exactly as depicted on the VRBO website. This bayside home was lovely. It was a great starting point for a couple of day trips. And you can’t beat the location to McLoon‘s lobster shack! We went there twice! Sue was great—always quick to reply as we kept her posted on our travel plans.
All in all, this was a perfect place for us and we will come back again in the future!

The perfect place for a Maine vacation!!!
We all absolutely LOVED this cottage. I could go on forever about how nice this place was. The cottage supplied everything we needed, was decorated so cute, and very clean! The cottage manager was so helpful and answered us very quickly. It was the perfect place to stay. I would highly recommend staying here. It’s a short drive into Rockland and not far from Camden. We took a day trip to Bar Harbor/Acadia which is 2.5 hours away but so worth it. We enjoyed the deck, watching the tide come in, and some beautiful sunsets! We hope to return to this cottage someday. Thank you so much for having such a lovely place to relax and enjoy our “happy place”

Better than I remember
This was our second time in this lovely spot. After a very difficult year, we needed a good dose of tranquility. This house and its lovely surroundings were just what we needed. The only way this rental could be better is if it were mine.
The rental management company was also terrific. Very helpful and responsive.

Cottage is comfortable, private, and provides everything promised. Enjoyed two nonsequential weeks at "Seabreeze" and would happily return next year. My guests shared the pleasure of being there.

Family vacation in Maine mid coast
We just had a wonderful week in Rockland Maine. The cottage is very pretty and well decorated and comfortable. Super clean and quiet even though neighbors share driveway. The cottage is otherwise quite far from everything, 30 minutes to go to Rockland and first supermarket. Another thing that should be mentioned is that the cottage is at the end of the cove so at low tide there is no water. But at high tide it is very pretty. Very nice welcome gesture from owner! Overall a great time! I shouldn’t forget to mention that there is a Great lobster shack 3 minutes away from the cottage! It closes at 5PM.

Beautiful Location. Great stay
Perfect quiet get away. Clean house; well appointed. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the tides come in and out all day, and driving to the nearby lobster restaurants. The kayaks were great to quickly get out on the water.

Great house on Seal Harbor
This was our third time renting in the Mid Coast (preciously Belfast and Owls Head) and we enjoyed this house the most of the three. It felt extremely private and quiet and the access to water and decks/windows right over the water were great. We made use of the grill, kayaks (right off the property) and enjoyed the view as much as possible. McLoons lobster shack about a mile away, and easy access to Rockland as well as Camden/Rockport a bit further north. The manager was very easy to communicate with. The house was very clean and had all necessary kitchen and bedroom supplies, towels, etc. All three bedrooms look out towards the water. Washer and Dryer and dishwasher all worked fine. Some snacks and board games a nice touch. We would definitely stay again.

Our stay was too short...
The property and view was beautiful for our family of 6. Area also delightful - something to do for ages 2-62. Wish it could have been longer.

Returning
Overall, "Seabreeze" is a very good value. Extremely well equipped, well located, well appointed. Returning in September and looking forward to it I've rented many, none better than this.

Family reunion
We spent two wonderful weeks at Seabreeze Cove with our parents who flew in from Europe. Everything at the cottage was as it looked online and the communication with Sue, the property manager, was very easy. We were really blessed with the weather and enjoyed a lot of time outside on the deck with its spectacular views over the cove - which changed ever day with the water coming and going. There are two kayaks and my husband and son enjoyed it almost every day. The getting in and out off the kayak was a little tough sometimes because of the tide level and slippery stones but it was worth doing the effort. We have been to this area before seven years ago and we enjoyed our trips to Port Clyde (there is fantastic food and great outside seating at the Dip Net), Rockland, Rockport and Camden. This was our first stay at the Seabreeze Cove cottage and we already decided while we were there, that we will definitely come back. Thank you very much for sharing this beautiful place.

Wonderful, Serene, and Cozy
Sue and Valerie could not have been nicer with all their timely communications which answered questions with details and so much more. The home made a nice relaxing vacation for us and our two adult children and daughter-in-law. Many things close by to visit by car, nice area to walk around, and spending time on the deck anytime of the day was enjoyable. Kitchen was great for cooking and the home was comfortable. My only advice to those who would want to visit the restaurants and book store that are in walking distance, is to visit before September 30th , as that is when they closed down for the season. But a good time was had by all.

Perfection!
My partner and I have been renting homes in this part of Maine for 9 years. One evening while sitting by the fire pit and enjoying the sunset, we compared all of them. While each in their own way had something to offer, this is by far is the best house we have rented. The house was perfectly situated, comfortable, and clean. The beds and bedding were good quality (not always the case in rental homes). The easy access to the water for kayaking was wonderful, and having nice kayaks available for use made getting out on the water very easy. It was a perfect spot for getting away from the daily chaos of life. We were sad to leave.

Great spot to enjoy Mid-coast Maine
The Seal Cove cottage is a really wonderful place. The accommodations and views are outstanding. We went to a local beach and were driven away by the biting flies and came back to the cottage with a real appreciation of the fact that the flies were no problem here. The dock was a nice place to sit in the sun, and there are also corners with shade and a little breeze. It was great to watch the birds and the tides; very educational! The TV with Netflix was very nice and the WiFi worked well. One thing that was a disappointment was the absence of the canoe, which was promised in the on-line description. Most of our group were not comfortable with kayaks, especially since getting them into the water on the sloping rocks seemed daunting. Also, I would say the the selection of books and games was “modest”, rather than “large”. Overall we had a terrific stay.

Relaxing Escape
Peaceful quiet setting; House was very clean; Good beds, bedding, towels;
Kayaking during high tide; Outdoor grille and fire pit; Lots of outdoor chairs; Birdwatching especially ospreys; Short drive to Rockland; Maine Prison Store is great; Puffin Sunset Tour in Port Clyde was fun; Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse; Camden is a must see; Swann’s Island Factory. Overall it is a great house if you are looking for a quiet, tranquil setting. The house is on a tidal cove, therefore you can not kayak all the time.
