Clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated. On a very busy main road but just a quick drive to Rockland, Camden and more.

Very clean, and centrally located for our needs. It was as advertized.
Laurel's bakery is a very quaint independent bakery located at 350 Main Street. Very friendly owner and excellant pastry.

It’s within walking distance to Thomaston and easy driving to scenic coastal spots. The house was spacious and clean - very comfortable.

This was a perfect two-day stop for us on our way back down from the Blue Hill Peninsula and Acadia to the Portland Airport. The accommodations were excellent and a very convenient stop for a short visit along this part of the beautiful Maine coast. There is a lot to see in the area - The Farnsworth Museum (Rockland), Owl's Head Lighthouse, the Transportation Museum, and, of course, the rocky coastal scenery of mid-state Maine!
We had breakfast at Laurel's Dolce Vita, a bakery and coffee shop just down the street towards the main part of town and I highly recommend it! Yet another interesting place that I'd been to before was the Maine State Prison Showroom. Lots of souvenir-type and folk-art items made by the inmates. Don't be put off, this is worth checking out!

This is our second stay and we've had great experiences both times. The apartment is cozy and convenient to so much of the area. Ruth and Jim have provided so many extras to make the time pleasant. The beds were so comfortable! The kitchen is perfect for preparing meals.
We enjoyed sitting in the back garden area and watching a little fox play just across the parking area.
You can easily walk to several eating spots (Laurel's Bakery has some delicious options, but dont wait too late or you'll miss them.) Thomaston Market is just a short walk.

For starters, this was the easiest check-in, check-out I've ever experienced. The home is roomy and spotless. Very well-appointed, and in a perfect location if you are sight-seeing the Maine coast. We travelled both south and north from this location easily. A perfect "home away from home!"

It was a peaceful quiet place to stay at. One of us in the group did embarrass ourselves by accidently hitting the button that makes the horn go off. Sorry about that happening. The beds were very comfortable and the place was very clean.

Very comfortable and was perfect for the two of us. Space for two couples but this worked for us perfectly, great A/C which cools all rooms and blocks out traffic on hwy 1. Place-did not feel cramped with lots of space to read etc. we had a chance to visit many towns along the coast even Damariscota 😁. Easy parking right near the door

Perfect location. Close to some local shops, easy and quick getting over to Rockland… we were here for lobster festival. Place was clean. Beds were comfy. Decorated nice. Chairs available to sit out back… very relaxing.

The home was in a nice quiet neighborhood, was very clean, was conveniently near a great asian restaurant we enjoyed, well equipped with modern appliances, and was located near enough to Camden, Acadia National Park, and other towns to allow us to explore.

EVERYTHING THE SAME AS LAST JULY. PERFECT, EXCEPT FOR FIVE NIGHTS THIS STAY...BETTER BY 2 NIGHTS. ENJOYED A MORNING WALK AROUND THE OLD PRISON SITE ACROSS THE STREET...NOW AN OPEN PARK AREA...WONDERFUL USE OF THE SPACE. THANKS, RUTH...WILL SEARCH FOR THE MISSING TABLE RUNNER WHEN WE GET HOME ON 26TH.

Ruth and Jim anticipated every need for a 2 night stay. Updated and extremely clean and comfortable. In addition to seeing Thomaston, it was only a short distance to Rockland and Camden. Just outside Thomaston we enjoyed the Bernard Langlais sculpture garden, and were able a few days later to see additional works in Portland Art Museum.

We stayed for three nights. The apartment is all-new construction. The hosts have furnished it well, and provisioned it generously. They live near-by, and responded immediately to inquiries. A ten-minute walk north on US1 (sidewalk all the way) took us to the center of this historic boat-building town, where there is a variety of restaurants, a bakery, a meticulous grocery with local products, and the last remaining Maine prison store (but be mindful, for all, of operating hours). Highest possible ratings.

The apartment was in great condition, very clean and comfortable. It has lots of fresh towels available and lots of space. Ruth was very responsive to our inquiries and made sure we had everything we needed. (The laundry was a big plus.) The property is on Route 1, the main thoroughfare – which makes it easy to find and a convenient jumping-off point. It made a great base for exploring the region with its museums and galleries, restaurants, hiking trails, beaches, lighthouses, and maritime activities. We especially enjoyed eating at the Thomaston Cafe, seeing the Wyeth Center and Farnsworth Museum, the boat trip to on Monhegan Island, and hiking the St. George’s peninsula (esp. the Clark Island Preserve, a real highlight).
A sidebar about the Monhegan Island trip from Port Clyde:
We caught the 10:30 ferry over and the 4:30 return, which gave us time to walk a loop from the Whitehead trail past the lighthouse and south along the Cliff trail with spectacular views, past the wreck and back to the village. We spotted many seals from the shore and even a distant whale on the boat ride back!
All in all, a very nice house in a convenient location in a beautiful part of the world.

Quite comfortable
Everything is new or nearly so; everything works. On the Maine coast, there just has to be a lobster pot in the kithcen....there IS.
Ice in the freezer and trays-full already made on our arrival. Comfortable bedding and seating, AND a Keurig for coffee!
Welcome to Thomaston! Nice to be so near the Farnsworth in Rockland, Port Clyde and Camden.

Sweet House for Maine Stay
This was the cutest little house! We selected it because of it's location close to where our son was moving.
(We came to the area to help our son and his family relocate with the Coast Guard.) The house was perfect for our needs. It had a nice open living area and the king bed was super comfortable. Ruth thought of everything you would need to stay here-right down to shopping bags.
My son's family was camping near us and came over to eat meals with us. We loved the backyard area. We ate most of the meals out there and spent a lot of time outside enjoying the beautiful weather.
My grandchildren enjoyed playing on the green across the road. We had some beautiful views of the river from there. There's a cute little bakery just down the road from the house that's an easy walk. It has delicious breads and pastries, but go early, they sell out quickly.
Ruth is a great hostess and responded quickly to questions and provided additional information to help us out. We will certainly stay here again when we are visiting our family if it is available.

Photography stay in Thomaston
The property was easy to find. Access was a breeze. Parking was available for two vehicles, just outside the front door. The kitchen was reasonably supplied with necessary items. The property is set back from a busy Hwy 1 so you can expect some vehicle noise. The bedrooms are up stairs and of adequate size. The bathroom was very nice. The heating worked very well. The one downside of the property is the stairway has narrow treads and we found it was necessary to use the handrail at all times to feel safe. Wifi worked good and the TV and other entertainment systems were available.
