The place wasn't cleaned properly. The swimming pool was dirty and cracked - no discount. The beds are hard, especially in the "kids" corner. Room nr 2 & 3 was too soft, and nobody enjoyed sleeping. There are not enough beds for 12 people, especially when everyone is not sleeping together. They accuse their clients of stealing just in order not to pay the full amount of the damage fee back.

We did not use the service
There is nothing we did not like about the venue

Lovely big home with many bedrooms and bathrooms situated on Sundays River, with huge lounge/dining/entertainment area with pool and table tennis tables, wooden deck overlooking the river, swimming pool, braai area, safe under roof parking, close to Addo, etc. Wonderful accommodation and even a gas stove to use during loadshedding. Highly recommended. đ
What's not to like? Everything was great. No complaints.

Was good value

Very spacious, loved the size and the variety of activities & game with an amazing view.
Loadshedding was inconvenient, the gas plate helped.

Great location and amazing views and sunset

It really felt like home, big rooms, comfortable beds. Next to the river. It was beautiful.
The fact that the swimming pool as advertised was not functioning, but they did try to fix but it did not work. Thats my only dissappointment by i liked most things

We really like to have so much space and to be at the entrance of Addo Elephant Park. The view is great and the close highway don't really disturb our stay. The restaurant where we get the key was really nice also. Thank you
The atmosphere feel a little empty. Of course their is space but sometime it's missing some soul. A little more decoration could be great.

Loved the pool and view to the river.
The place was clean and the weather was fantastic. Especially after flying in from Norway which was -27 degrees and snow
Load shedding was a pain . Stage four for 2 days but ramped up to stage 6 the remainder of the stay

Most beautiful view from the deck
The property and furniture are old and not well maintained

Exceptional value for money......not 5 star but then i paid nowhere near a 5 star price so my expections were met and exceded. Prime location on the River and 5 minutes from the Addo Park South gate.
All basic facilities provided and a Sparkling large pool to cool off in.

The house was spacious, very nice for a big group.
Clean pool, great entertainment, safe for kiddos and a beautiful view.
The staff were great, I was assisted by a gentlemen by the name of Sibo and he provided great service.
5.0
The view from the deck
This place need serious TLC. The carport and driveway was full of leave, etc. The one toilet was seriously dirty with poop on the seat. The towel rails are falling off. The pool table is in a state. The couches are torn. No pictures etc. against the wall. Feels like a hostel. Had to pay R2500 deposit - not sure for what. Bords and cups are chipped. This place is good for a bachelor's party. Plastic tables are broken. Braai area is not under cover. Bird poop all over the place. Needs a proper clean and scrab. The pool, yoh very different from the pictures. The way down to the river was overgrown and dirty with leaves and rubble every where. The garden need serious attention. This was really not a place for a family. Safety - we did not feel safe at all. Alarm can't be set while at the property. Burglar bar broken off in tv area. No security doors.

The view; comfortable, facilities
Nothing at all all was great

Being treated like children by your host. Privacy being invaded by your host. Being talked down by your host. I will never recommend the place to anyone. My friend and her family enquired earlier based on my photos on my status. I advised her to not consider it since we were treated with so much disregard and had no privacy. Thank you, but never again

Lots of space. Entertainment such as table tennis and pool table was great. Beautiful view over the Sundays River. Spectacular sunset view. Appreciated being notified of the load shedding schedule in advance so we could prepare. Gas hob helped.
No emergency lighting for loadshedding. All bedrooms need mirrors, ideally near the plugs. More toilet paper should be provided. Geysers were switched off when we arrived.

I absolutely loved the accommodation. The pictures provided do not do this house any justice you have to see it for yourself. The house has soooo much space and is perfect for a little breakaway. A weekend alone was not enough to enjoy this house. I will definitely be back again to enjoy the rest of this house.
The staff at the Taste of Africa are amazing, friendly and helpful. I had 10000 questions yet they were extremely patient and tried to accommodate me as much as they could. A big thank you to all staff involved.

The place was nice for our bonding as friends again with the playing of table tennis and the fact that we were able to watch sport will lates are enjoy a game of pool
The fact that we book in the winter and that we had to braai in the rain also not all of us were able to enjoy the pool because of the cold

The size of the house is good for a large group. Views over the river, especially at sunset. Proximity to Addo.
The railing on the deck over the river is positively illegal, missing an essential barrier lower down. We had to be super careful with the little ones.
It's probably more of a party house than a family vacation. A 4 seater dining room table is not what you're expecting in a 5 bedroom house. The patio furniture might do with an upgrade.

We enjoyed the patio for the view(sunsets) and breakfast.
The pool was nice and clean.
The whole environment was just so relaxing.
The wifi was slow.
The gate was faulty. It didn't want to close.

Amazing value for money and stunning views of the river. The hosts were professional and ensured that we had a great experience. Highly recommended if you are seeking a relaxing group holiday.
There may have been a slight gas leak which we could smell in the kitchen. Didn't seem like there were bins to take out garbage. Water can be scalding hot before adjusting temperature in some showers.

The location of the house is great, very close to Addo elephant park and the Sundays river. The kitchen was well equipped and the view to the river really nice
The furniture and interior was not in a good condition. Couches broken and and furniture quite old and needs to be replaced. The pool water wasnât clean and cigarette butts lying around and pieces of glass on the floor around the pool area.
