Perfect location, views and facilities
Astor House has everything you will require. Just a short walk from the sea front on Torquay (and the Princess Theatre where we were working) it has beautiful views greeting you when you arrive. It is very easy to access with good parking, and key code access, and extremely well furnished with everything you could need in the bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, good wifi, and excellent customer service. We had a wonderful week.

Great place to stay. Beautiful views very clean apartment.
Great views. Very quiet and quaint. Free parking up and down the street is very helpful. Have yet to struggle to find a spot. Good location to get to the highways or downtown. 5 minute walk to the beach/Boardwalk.

A room with a view
I arranged 2 days at this apartment as a 21st birthday present for my grandson and his girlfriend. They reported back that the flat was very clean, modern and had great views. The main thing was that they enjoyed their stay very much indeed. Thank you

a great dtay at toquay
Great apartment and view. Instructions on where to find the washing machine would have been helpful if it had been in the guest directory. Fortunately jacquie advised where the laundry was located. Wifi in the apartment not great and didnt work until jacquie again came to the rescue ! All in all a very nice stay.

Short break
This time we had just a long weekend.
The apartment was up to it's usual standard and we like the new sofa and lights etc.
The apartment is always lovely & clean and of course the view is unbeatable.
We will be back in September for two weeks - can't wait!
We have been renting this apartment for years, two or three times a year, and wouldn't keep coming back if it wasn't so good.
Just wish there could be a lift - the stairs remind us we are not getting any younger!

16 Astor House - wonderful views
16 Astor House
We stayed in 3 Air BnB properties on a 5 day mini tour and this was our favourite. The view was stunning and we felt like we could almost touch it..! The lady running the properties (Jacqui) could not have been more helpful and accommodating. We had all that we could possibly need. The only disappointment was the beds. The bedroom was large enough to have two single beds or a larger 5 or 6 foot bed but only had a small double; whilst the sofa-bed was very uncomfortable indeed, even for one person. It’s a shame as otherwise this property was exceptionally good. Great bathroom, great shower, with a more than acceptable kitchen with good appliances. It’s quite a hike up to enjoy this lovely apartment and view (if you’re able bodied) then this apartment is definitely worth staying in. We loved it. Just please buy better, bigger and more comfortable beds..!!

A highly recommended apartment
Comfortable, clean, friendly, modern apartment with beautiful views. Very well equipped too. Can't really fault it.
Perfect for a couple or family with older children. Was a little difficult for us as we had a baby and travelling up and down lots of steep stairs with a baby and pushchair made it a little difficult for us. Our baby enjoyed it nevertheless.

Another great stay at Astor House
This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Astor House and as before cannot fault anything. Everything so spotless and fittings and fixtures of a high standard. The view from the lounge was second to none and has to be seen to be believed. Wow. we were in flat 16 and will be going back.

Lovely Apartment And Great Location
This is a lovely apartment on the second floor of Astor House. Astor House is on Warren Road in Torquay which is only a 10 minute walk from the sea front but be aware the walk is a hilly one. Parking is available at Astor on a first come first served basis at £5 a night, must be booked along with your apartment booking. I would recommend this if you are bringing a car as Warren Road is used by tourists to access the beach. You get a space right outside the apartments if you book, with a lockable bollard to save the space - well worth the money.
Once at Astor House, the apartment is accessed via a separate door and being on the top floor there are 4 flights of stairs so be aware of this before booking. It's a compact but good apartment that is perfect for couples. A hallway provides access to the bedroom and bathroom (at the rear) and open plan living space (at the front).
The living room has a two seater sofa and swivel chair with footstool, along with occasional table and TV / DVD player. We hardly used to TV as we were too distracted by the stunning views provided by the floor to ceiling sliding door. This gives views across the entire bay and is what really sells these apartments.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you would expect and is spacious with a breakfast bar area. All cutlery pots pans etc are provided. There is even a washing machine and clothes airer so you just need some washing powder if you want to use this.
The bedroom is very spacious with a double bed and all the storage you would expect. The bed is quite firm, a little too firm for us but that is down to preference. We suggested the owner add an additional bedside table as there was only one when we stayed. One bonus we found is if you open the sliding door slightly in the lounge and the sash window in the bedroom at night and leave the bedroom/living room doors open, you get a lovely breeze at night to keep you cool if it's very warm! It's a very homely and quiet room.
Finally the bathroom is lovely and modern with full bath with shower over. Always managed to get near instant hot water. Lots of towels are provided though we took our own too. They also provide hand wash and hand cream and shower gels. A nice touch.
In summary, if you book this apartment, or any sea view apartment in Astor House, I think you will be very happy and will be hard pressed to find something you don't like. We have just booked again for next year and it will be our 5th stay at Astor House. I can't recommend it enough!

Stunning view.
The apartment is well positioned to take in spectacular views from the lounge of the harbour and bay. Number 16 was clean and just big enough for 3 adults and is next to the main house with 4 small flights of stairs to the front door. A nice touch on arrival was some milk, tea bags and biscuits after an exhausting 8 hour drive. Torbay has lots to do and see all within walking distance if you have no mobility issues. Numerous restaurants and cafés are around the harbour and the prices were reasonable and the service very friendly. There is a supermarket in the town although I suggest a taxi back up with your provisions or there is an Asda 1.5 miles away if you want a bigger shop. We were lucky as the weather was great until the last day when it hammered down! Any small negatives regarding the walk up/down to the harbour are completely minimised due to the stunning view.

Lovely.
A lovely, clean and modern place with a fantastic view. Great location and not far from restaurants and the ferry to Brixham. It was all very easy and straight forward. The only negative was that the wifi wasn't too hot. But overall would recommend.

Our apartment had the most amazing view, it was comfortable, modern and spacious. The lounge area was a peculiar shape and maybe a tad small, The kitchen area was a good size and was well equipped there was even a washing tablet left for you to use if you wanted to used the washing machine. The bathroom was modern and clean, though we did have a bit of trouble with the door closing. The bedroom was a lovely size so suitcases all over the floor wasn't a problem. The bed was comfortable and the bed linen and towels clean and fresh.
We had a lovely stay and would book again and recommend to others.
