Fantastic views, excellent accommodation, and easy access to the seafront. Clean, spacious, and well-equipped with beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended for a great stay!

We stayed in number 14, gorgeous views of the sea. Living room settee and chair bit outdated and uncomfortable, would not be enough seating if 6 people stayed. Bit strange sharing a balcony access with strangers (neighbours) , but no drama, as the need to pass your living room window. Overall a nice apartment, well located with stunning views.

Lovely
Really lovely place and great views of the sea, lovely balcony although was a little odd with people walking past as half of it has access to another apartment. Due to the access from the garden great for quickness down to the front
Place was well equipped the only thing that was missing was a teapot
2nd room is small and no wardrobes but plenty of space in main room to put clothes
Sofas were a bit hard and uncomfortable in sitting room
Place was really clean apart from top of wardrobes was covered in dust as put my small suitcase up there
Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely return

Quiet and good property
We had a ĺoveĺy stay. The fĺat was well equipped and beautiful. Views were great. We had no problems parking. Ground floor was in reality more basement as you needed to climb down rather steep stairs from the entrance

Views and Exercise!
My friend and I had a 4 night stay at #14 Astor House, and loved every minute. The flat is beautifully arranged for comfort. We did not have a car, but the train station is only a five-ish minute walk away. The Rock Walk down to town is very convenient, and will keep you fit! Jacqui, the property manager, is delightful and didn't mind my slightly goofy questions about how a couple of things worked. Am home in California now and feeling a bit melancholy after such a super trip.

Lovely appartment 14
We loved the apartment, the view and easy access to gardens and beach!
We definitely would return to the same apartment, rooms ,kitchen and bathrooms were very clean however ,the only thing that was disappointing were the damp marks in main room, concerned about breathing in spores even though we were reassured by manager that it had been treated! Also the carpets throughout looked clean but were dirty, along skirting boards radiator pipes thick layer of dust which I pointed out to manager.....and outside main door of apartment (hallway leading up staircase carpet was very stale and musty, horrible smell, not fresh clean smell)! I suffer from allergies and the whole week I suffered with sinus problems and unable to sleep with the smell and stuffiness of my nose!!
The day we left we stayed overnight in a holiday inn as we had a 5 hour drive home.....my breathing was back to to normal,it was so clean an fresh!
Apart from that we did enjoy our stay, and appreciated the supply of toilet rolls, toiletries and milk! And the nice gesture of bottle of wine when the manager came to see about our problems.Jacqui was very pleasant and very efficient!
perhaps the cleaning could be more thorough!!

Appartment 14 Astor House
We have stayed in Torquay many times but never before at Astor house. We were very impressed and will definately go again.
The process was easy and the appartment well presented. The position and views were superb but you might think twice if you don't like hills and steps as it is a workout when returning back from the sea front - hardly the fault of the building but a consideration for the less able. We had plenty of space and the appartment was very comfortable - we would only suggest a small TV in the master bedroom would have been appreciated and a few fixtures and fittings were in need of some repair. The dishwasher being one such fixture that would not stand still. A lift in the building would have been nice as carting luggage was a bind - but again this is an old building and to be expected.
Overall we had a great stay and would recomend Astor House.

Short break
We enjoyed our stay at Astor House Apartments I don't think it would be a short break our family would take again though. We stayed 2 nights and the weather was disappointing that alone put us off holidaying in this country. Also the cost of nearly £700 for 2 nights stay and then the cost of food on top, for us as a family it would be more beneficial to stay abroad. There were a few things that could be improved, the glasses were covered in lipstick and fingerprints and my one real bug bare was having to take the rubbish up flights of stairs to the wheelie bin, I have to do the rubbish at home and don't want to do it on holiday, that is just not what I had expected. This is a lovely apartment with stunning views and I am happy that we tried this type of break and most families would really enjoy it.

Fantastic views
Fantastic views of Torquay beach - lovely large balcony. Excellent apartment, nicely decorated and comfortable. Great location, close to town. Our apartment had a lovely path down to the main road so very excessible. Have been coming to Torquay for many years now and have never enjoyed it as much.
Thank you very much, will be returning!

Great stay, but not quiet perfect
The location of Astor house is exceptional. The view from the balcony is outstanding a really quality view. The rooms are big and spacious, we had 5 people staying and it slept 6 so plenty of room, however the sofa bed was particularly really UNCOMFORTABLE. So we had to take it in turns on sleeping on that, so we all at least got a decent nights sleep. The curtains did not block out any of the light from outside, so in the mornings when it was bright outside from 4.30am the rooms was also very bright, and woke me up early every morning. The only other issue I had was the parking. It was a night mare. Never anywhere to park!. That road is always full of parked cars!.
Other than the sofa bed being uncomfortable and the curtains not blocking out any lights and the parking being an issue outside. It was amazing. With these few things altered/adjusted it would have been perfect! But I would Defford recommend staying here and would Deffinately stay their again I would just be aware of the above issues!
But thanks for an amazing stay!
