This quaint cabin has the best equipped kitchen of any VRBO we've stayed at. What a happy surprise! Being seniors & one with balance issues, it would have been helpful to know about the 8 steps down to the cabin plus the steps inside down to the bedroom/bath. The pictures online don't show them and they're not mentioned in the description. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the hosts were very helpful & responded quickly to our questions.

Enjoyed the peace away from all the hustle of the city but that we were close enough to all the attractions. Beautiful little cabin. Will definitely stay again.

We loved our stay by the creek. Convenient to so much!

Great lottle property on Alarka Creek. We loved sitting on the dock by creek and watching the birds visit the feeders on the screened in porch. Perfect space for a quiet getaway.

Easy check-in, detailed notes about TV, well stocked everything! Creek running right behind private back yard. We will definitely stay again!

No disappointment. Just as it was described. Our grandchildren were happy to be in a little cabin countryside.

It was a lovely country home stay. Well equipped kitchen very homey and comfortable. More neighbors than I expected but still fairly private. The creek was nice and we enjoyed the historic homestead of a past generation. Great stay!

We had a wonderful time staying here. Our kids loved playing around outside and we all loved sitting around in the sunroom with the windows open listening to the sound of the creek. We will definitely stay here again!

From the moment we walked through the door we felt at home! The house was impeccably clean, the yard was beautiful! Everything was just as promised! We enjoyed evenings at the fire, daytime with our feet in the creek, and cooked some wonderful meals in the best equipped kitchen I have ever stayed at! We will definitely be back over and over! Thank you so much for being such a wonderful host and hostess. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We absolutely loved everything about this cabin, everything you need is there. The cabin has a lot of Character about, the creek behind the cabin with the fire pit was so relaxing! Will definitely be going back! It was the first mountain trip for my husband and me alone and was everything we needed❤️❤️❤️

Wonderful experience

We took our 9 year old daughter and we all had such a great week. The cabin is clean and had everything we needed. Even though you are out away from everything, you are still close to everything. The river was so peaceful. It rained the last two days and the road to and from was very safe. Beautiful scenery on the drives. Will definitely be back. The only downside was there is no outside covering for when it rains.

Peaceful Creek Cabin is a perfect description. My wife enjoyed a much needed getaway. The cabin is very quiet and cozy. We loved sitting in the back room and listening to the creek. It was a perfect experience for us. Highly recommend this property!

This was the perfect place for a couples getaway for the long holiday weekend.
Well-stocked kitchen made breakfast easy each morning. The fireplace made the whole cabin nice and toasty; we used it to get the chill out of the air in the morning and at the end of the day of exploring Bryson City and other local points of interest.
We would stay here again!

This was the coziest, most well equipped, and clean property we have ever stayed in!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this lovely cabin. Everything was pristine when we walked in and had everything we needed for our stay. When we go back to this area, we will definitely stay again. Learning about the historic cabin was amazing, it took me back in time to the lovely family that lived there. Thank you Don & Rosemarie, you truly made our visit so enjoyable, we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Blessings to you both and hope you share this little cabin for many more years. Clean accommodations with all the peace the flowing stream and remote location can provide

All was great except we were unable to watch live college football.

The cabin is warm and comfortable. You feel right at home from the moment you walk in. We kept the windows open and you could hear the creek running from inside the cabin. Definitely did not disappoint. If you are looking for a quiet getaway in the mountains this is it!

The property itself was wonderful, exactly what we were hoping for. The only drawback to the entire experience had nothing to do with the property, only its location. The road to get to it was a little on the long, winding, and narrow side, but that is to be expected in the middle of the mountains. The fact that Bryson City really didn't have much to interest us beyond the railroad trip we came for is the real reason we're not likely to come back again. There's just not a lot going on near the cabin, very few restaurants, shopping, or anything but mountains. Again, NOT the fault of the property or its owners, who have a lovely place, one I am sure will be utterly perfect for many types of vacationers.

I liked the cabin and listening to the River. Not having cell service was not safe. Something needs to be changed in order to get tv stations. Very frustrating trying to watch tv when it goes out and freezes every few minutes.

My husband and I enjoyed a quiet long weekend in this simple cabin. Lovely creek right out back and even found a trailhead close by and hiked up to the falls. We didn’t want to do too much, just wanted a simple getaway and this place provided just that.

Wonderful, rustic cabin with modern amenities. You couldn't ask for more beauty, charm and sense of solitude. Hope to come back soon.

From the moment we arrived until the sad moment when we had to leave my husband and I had the best time ❤️ Absolutely the coziest place ever!
So much love and detail went in to making it that way. And then to put icing on the cake there’s a beautiful little yard with the creek flowing over the river rocks. The enclosed sunroom was perfect with cute painted rocks and wood at every window. The bedroom, kitchen, living room, and bathroom are just as adorable. We don’t have one single complaint.
5 stars!!!

It was quiet and peaceful. Loved listening to the creek in the back yard. Quaint little house that makes you not want to leave.

I absolutely loved this little cabin, was the perfect size for me. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed as far as utensils, plates, cups, etc and even many spices and oil for cooking. The bed was comfortable and the large walk in shower divine. The creek out back provided a lovely melody to sleep to since it was cool enough to have the windows open. Definitely want to come back and relax there again!

Wow! I can not say enough wonderful things about this little slice of heaven. From the well appointed kitchen, cozy den to the sun room perfect for reading it was just wonderful. A Very nice rushing creek view was just the icing on the cake

Quaint cabin that is well furnished. It is located away from the hustle of everyday life. The stream is like background music while sitting around the firepit at night. Really enjoyed the peace and tranquility of our surroundings and only about 10 miles away from downtown Bryson City and the depot. The town is a must to explore the shops, see the train, and enjoy ice cream while making lasting memories.

The drive was a bit hairy, but well worth it. A beautiful little place!

This cute, little cabin housed a weekend full of sweet memories. What started out as a place to stay to see my grandson graduate from kindergarten turned into a playful weekend on yesterday holidays missed. The host approved for our sweet family to come over for a meal by the firepit. My grandsons played their little hearts out with the vintage toys in the sunroom/porch. Memories were made in the river behind as the kids and mom played in the water, catching crawfish, roasting marshmallows, eating smores, hunting Easter eggs in June so this Grandma could watch. The rocking chairs became bonding time with the youngest after he tired from chasing chickens. This cabin became our weekend home to share with our littles loves. We will be back!

My partner and I went up for a long Memorial Weekend. The booking and communication with the host was easy with quick host response. The cabin and property were absolutely serene! The creek with the fire pit going in the evening were exactly the respite needed from fast paced jobs. The home was equipped with everything needed down to a stocked spice cabinet and board games. The only negative is know this property is on a small gravel drive with two other very close properties. The cabin next door had house full of kids renting for the weekend which was not an issue until they continued to run all over our yard chasing chickens. Kids are wonderful but not so much on a romantic weekend getaway.
Pro tip take the hike at the end of Deep Gap Rd to find an amazing 200ft waterfall!
