Loved it room was very spacious and home feeling

The hotel was clean and comfortable. My only complaint would be the lighting in the bathroom. They need vanity lights for us girls to put on their makeup and do their hair.

Our room smelled like a dog had used the bathroom in it repeatedly, and the carpet was sticky feeling. To top it off whoever cleaned it didn’t even bother to get out the last peoples soap from the bathtub. I really wish you could trust the photos posted online because this was completely different than expected.

We completely love this place. We checked in earlier than the timeline, but the manager, she kindly let us checked in. The place was cozy & warm. The manager was courteous, very friendly and go out of her way to assist us with questions. Breakfast was delicious! Definitely will recommend this lodge to others.

Location is great, walking distance to restaurants and visitors center, parking is in front of your unit - a big plus!

Hotel's city was flooded and locked down due to hurricane. Staff would not let me cancel despite the national guard rescuing people from surrounding areas. Every road into town was closed due to flooding. Couldn't even check in.

The facility is conveniently located within walking distance or a short drive to many attractions. The staff are very helpful and make you feel right at home. Sue prepared a very special breakfast and provided helpful recommendations regarding interesting attractions.

Cute, clean rooms just not very updated. I would stay there again

Very large rooms with a nostalgic flavor

The wi-fi wasn’t very reliable. Several of the tv channels didn’t come up clearly. The air conditioning in our room sounded like a motorcycle engine every time it came on. The noise level from the outside was unpleasant when we trying to sleep.

The room was very clean the staff nice but is just the room you don’t have wait room. Area for stay, but everything was very good.

Pictures were a little misleading. I didn't expect an older motel style room. The room was very roomy and clean. Was not told any information about breakfast at check in. Breakfast was good though.

It is a very nice hotel for the area if you want something quick, clean and reasonable. Not a lot of space to maneuver if you have a large SUV or a crew cab pick up but it is manageable. Staff is very friendly and helpful and while you're there you may see a herd of elk pass through early in the morning.

The bed was dirty. Couldn't open shampoo packs. Ice machine broken. Paid $136 a night and it was bad.

I've been staying in hotels for over 50 years and this is the first time I have ever seen a mouse in my room. I had thrown part of a hamburger away in the garbage can upon arrival. My first night I heard noises coming from the swamp cooler (cheaper version of air conditioners) even when it wasn't running & then rustling coming from the area of the garbage can. The next night I hear more rustling this time just from the garbage can area. The next morning around 5:30 AM I was awakened by the noise and turned the light on and saw a small brown mouse jump out of the garbage can and go under the armoire! I was traumatized & tried to call the front desk but the phone did not work in my room. I then went to the office and rang the buzzer several times, knocked on the window & door but no one answered. I finally called the hotel and the owner answered who met me at the office. I asked to checkout immediately as I couldn't stay in a hotel with mice. In his words he said "I will take great care of you and give you a generous credit". He took me to a different building of the hotel that was attached by a common portico and convinced me to stay and promised no mice. The wife of the owner said the exterminator who removed the mouse (mice?) said I must have either brought them in my suitcase (really from FL?) or they came in the door when it was opened. (I never left it open). She also threatened legal action if I told anyone about the mouse. The generous credit was only 1 night out of 5!

This property was clean, conveniently located, and easily accessible. The room was comfortable. It was an older property that had been renovated but functionally it worked perfectly.

Great little place to stay, close to everything Cherokee has to offer. Room was comfortable and clean. Bed was comfortable and shower had plenty of hot water. The logde is a short drive to the Casino, dining, shopping and the play, Unto these Hills (not to be missed).
Cherokee NC has changed a lot since my visit 60 years ago. Really a beautiful place to be enriched by Native American heritage.

Interesting. The room was very clean and neat. Location was very good and the “cooked to order hot breakfast” was very good. The breakfast consisted of a breakfast burrito served with fresh seasonal fruit and a pastry.
The front lobby was off limits to guests, which at first seemed a bit odd. You interacted through a window including check in and out as well as ordering and receiving your breakfast. I was curious and asked about this and was told that they cook in the lobby area, so it must be off limits to guests. It had a 100 rating by the health department. There was also a nice patio like seating area where you can enjoy your breakfast.
It was a unique and pleasant experience.

The room smelled musty but it was clean. It was a motel with your car right outside your door. No pool or outside lawn area. One block from downtown but elk walking nearby. Staff was friendly.

The room was nice, big and clean. We were appreciative of the place to stay!

Great homemade breakfast to order.
Looks a little run down on the outside, but the room was the cleanest I've been in, very well maintained, and comfortable.
Ask about the morning elk parade, be careful stepping off the breakfast patio, and don't sit on the bird chair.

The location was great. The receptionist was amazing. Breakfast was delicious. Ice maker out of order. Vending machine did not work. No pillowcases on some pillows. Bathroom rugs needed to be cleaned. No hairdryer. Small amount of toilet paper. Tried to call the office after 6 o’clock and did not receive an answer.

I arrived about 10 minutes after check in began. There was a sign on the locked lobby door to check in at the window, so I did. The young man was friendly and had my key quickly. I entered the room, which was quite clean. There was coffee and a TV, so I was happy. The bathroom was very clean and plenty of towels supplied. The Vending machine and Ice maker were both broken, so I was unable to get water except from the tap once my bottle was empty. The motel was within walking distance of several cute shops, but none were open early enough for me to get coffee or breakfast without a drive over to the main drag. That was ok though, still not too far. I didn't even attempt the lobby breakfast because I was afraid it would be locked still like the evening before. But they said it was offered there as well.
No bells and whistles here, but it was clean, affordable and not far from all the action.

This motel did not meet our expectations. This is the first place that did not allow access to the lobby at anytime. However, there was always someone there to fill ice buckets and anything else you may need. I think the lobby is closed so it can be a work area and not because of fear. Breakfast is between 8-9. They serve a tasty breakfast taco with fruit and half of a sweet roll (no second helping). Our room was between two that were rented to people on a monthly basis and we didn’t feel safe with them though they did not bother anyone. The room was older and wasn’t as pictured. I know that we are ones that have a high expectation of cleanliness which this room didn’t meet. Also, we choose the place as the said the play was a 15 minute walk and we are ones that walk two miles per day and thought we’d walk which you can’t do. So I’m saying you may have an enjoyable stay here, but we will look for someplace else.

Some of the lights were broken next to the rooms. I needed to have help with check-in as no- one was at the area of our time of arrival. We were not told the hours for breakfast so we missed it. There were two motorcycles parked at the entrance to the office so you had to walk around them.

Rooms were clean. Staff very friendly. Great quality breakfast!
