About this apartment rental
Welcome to the Crystal Creek condo!
Enjoy a fully stocked kitchen, and clean, convenient, affordable accommodations, just steps from the Free Shuttle and Grocery Store for less $ than a hotel room!
If you are looking for value in the town of Crested Butte but not looking to compromise on location, this is your perfect property. This comfy and clean condo is within walking distance to all of Historic Downtown’s shops, restaurants, and entertainment, and a stones throw from the grocery store, the Center for the Arts, Town Park, and right on the free Mt. Express shuttle stop which runs to the base area of Mt. Crested Butte every 15 minutes.
The first floor is home to two bedrooms (one King and one Queen). Both rooms have large closets for your belongings. There is also a full bathroom on this floor.
Upstairs, on the second level, is the recently upgraded kitchen with brand new stainless steel appliances, new dining sets and glasses, and all the utensils you need for whipping up a meal.
The bright and sunny living area offers an open feel and a large LCD T.V. to watch your favorite movies and shows, and comfortable seating. As well, dedicated and secure wireless internet has been included with this condo. Another full bath is located on this level.
This property sleeps up to four people. Well-behaved pets are welcome. (An additional fee of $10 + tax per pet per night, minimum charge $80 per pet+ tax will apply.) Please note that the HOA has a strict, 1 dog maximum limit, max weight 50lb (sorry no cats).
Please note that this incredibly convenient and affordable unit sits adjacent to an unpaved alleyway (not uncommon in Crested Butte,) so the parking lot may get dusty on dry Summer days. Additionally, like most Condominium Complexes in the heart of Downtown, expect to see and hear neighbors and fellow visitors in the immediate vicinity during normal hours during peak season, though nights are generally quiet, as this unit is 3 blocks from Elk Avenue, home to Downtown’s many restaurants and watering holes.
We are always happy and willing to assist with ski and bike rentals and to share our local knowledge.

Great spot, in downtown CB on a budget that's pet friendly - didn't think it was possible! Clean spot, loved accessibility to bus, market & Elk Ave. The plumbing was a little finicky, but Sean addressed it immediately. He's lovely!

Everything we hoped it would be!

Property location is great. It could use some updates but was clean and well kept. It would have been nice to have snow cleared at the front entry and a rug/mat inside the door to help manage snow and dirt that is easily tracked in. Check in info was confusing because the driving link they sent gave us an inaccurate address and no unit number. When I messaged the morning of our arrival asking for this info they told me it would be emailed later in the day when unit was cleaned. When we arrived 2 hours after the check in time we still had not received the accurate address and unit number and had to spend time hunting down someone to give us that info verbally over the phone. Overall stay was good.

Our stay at this property was fantastic! Close to the main drag so everything is extremely walkable. Right across the street from a large open space to let the dog stretch its’ legs during work from home days. Highly recommend this property; it’s everything we needed for our trip to CB.

My kids and I enjoyed being in town and so close to everything Crested Butte has to offer. The condo was clean and had all the kitchen amenities available to make it easy to make our own meals. The management company was very responsive when we needed assistance and the accommodations suited our needs nicely!

Loved crested butte, and this property was easy and close to town. We didn’t use our car once, just biked and walked. We booked last min but overall were pleased with our stay

What I loved:
1. The Location: This condo is directly across the street from the grocery store, and close to downtown Crested Butte, the Arts Center, and meeting places for the Wildflower Festival classes.
2. The set-up: There are 2 bedrooms downstairs and a bathroom. Upstairs is open with another bathroom, a small kitchen, a dining area, and a living room.
3. The communication from the managing company (Watchdog Vacation Rentals) was excellent. There were a few minor issues that came up and they were on it, taking care of anything & answering in a timely fashion.
What I liked:
1. The furniture was comfortable.
2. The beds were comfortable. I appreciated having the king size bed, even if it was a little tight. (The other bedroom has a queen bed.)
3. The kitchen was adequately supplied with pots, pans, and appliances.
What could be improved:
1. Although it had been cleaned, it had that grimy appearance that happens with seasons of use. (Dirty grout, worn & stained area rugs, chips and stains in doors and cabinets). That being said, this is a dusty area and there’s no way to keep that out of the condo.
2. The decor is a mish-mash and the cabinets are worn and old. The place has a very heavy, uninviting atmosphere - could use updates/a little HGTV touch needed.)
3. There is no air conditioning which is not an issue - but needs window screens!
THE GOOD NEWS: According to the property team, a major upgrade at the end of the season. 5 stars then!

You can’t beat the location. Right next to the grocery store, living room looks directly at mt. crested butte. Just a few blocks to downtown, basically everything is walking distance. The house of was clean and had all the necessities.
The one con I will say is the downstairs where the 2 bedrooms are had a musty smell.

Location was perfect! Place was clean! Great for our family!

Conveniently located with nice view. Well ventilated comfortable living room. Older furniture still comfortable. Only 2 glasses and 2 cups in kitchen. Stairway carpet badly stained. Patio is not really sittable...narrow and inside view so no attractive outdoor seating. Lots of gravel and mud around parking and entry so hard to keep clean. Beds comfortable but sheets and blankets older and a little shabby. Dog friendly. Functional and worked fine for us. Would recommend as good spot for dog friendly vacation. Thanks

I’ve been coming to CB since I was 4, and you can’t have a bad experience no matter where you stay! I’ve stayed on the mountain and also in town every year for over 45 years in all different seasons, so I know Crested Butte well. This condo is super accessible to all shopping and restaurants and has all the bare necessities. It’s around 100 yards to Clark’s grocery store, the liquor store, and a gas station which is great! We have 2 daughters, ages 12 and 14, and there was plenty of space for our family of 4 for summertime! The beds are extremely comfortable, and management was AMAZING! (They sent us a text letting us know our place was ready earlier than expected which was awesome after a 13 hour drive!) All this said, these are my suggestions to make it even better! The two bedrooms (especially the king-bed room) need a (full length) mirror..(hang them on the door and no space will be taken up.) The unit has good wifi which is great, and the tv upstairs is nice (although we did replace batteries in two remotes), but as cheap as TVs are nowadays, I would suggest putting a tv at least in the primary bedroom. Some people enjoy it after long days of rafting, hiking, biking (and skiing in winter). Next, my husband who is 6’2” didn’t like the short toilets, but my girls and I didn’t mind them since we’re short. We all really appreciated having 2 full bathrooms regardless of the shorter shower heads and toilets. The windows do need screens because it was a dryer summer this year, so we had several bees and mosquitoes come in when we opened them to cool off when home. We weren’t there much during the day, but it was hotter this year than usual, so we wanted the windows open when there. It was awesome having a parking space and a convenient dumpster for our trash and recyclables, and everyone around you is super kind! There was construction of new units going on nextdoor but never too early, and they always stopped late afternoon. We had an incredible time as always, so please understand that these are just suggestions to improve the CB experience! You have a wonderful place!

My daughter and I had a lovely time. The location is beyond perfect. Convenient to everything. It is a nice little condo right across the street from the bus stop, the grocery store and just down the alley from the hardware store. A quick walk down to Elk Ave for all the fun.

It’s an older unit, but the location is fabulous, and everything works fine. We enjoyed it immensely

I stayed at this condo for 3 weeks during the ski season and it was perfect. Great location by the market and within walking distance to Main St, the Nordic Center, and the bus stop. Felts very safe and comfortable. Sean and the team were great when I needed o get in touch and provided strong customer service. Highly recommend to anyone.

My gf and I had a wonderful time catching up at this optimally located property. Directly across from lovely grocery and liquor stores, as well as the first stop on the shuttle to the Mt it was hard to motivate to get to Elk Ave and all the great restaurants for takeout! While we would have loved to build a fire in the wood stove(off limits and admittedly dangerously accessible) we still enjoyed having our own bed and bath, adequately equipped kitchen and commmon space/TV. Climate control was great too as we both liked it cool for sleeping but warm après ski. We were also near enough to walk to the cross country ski center when we tired of downhill. It was always easy to communicate with the property manager and they were exceptionally flexible about check in/out times which I attributed to COVID but perhaps it’s just that friendly Crested Butte vibe. A lovely trip!
