The property had breathtaking views, plenty of room for large groups, and well-stocked kitchens. The cabins were clean and ready for an enjoyable stay.
5.0 / 5.0
We stayed here as a big family vacation with 11 people. We had grandparents and two families. The house was clean and in a great location to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The house was very spacious. We had plenty of space to hang out all together but were able to each take a floor when the kids needed to wind down. The movie theater and upstairs game were also really great and the elevator made it so that the grandparents could easily get from floor to floor. We would definitely stay here again.

We had 22 staying in the cabin. There was plenty of room for everyone. The cabin was a little dated but this was fine since we had small children. The right-sided fridge froze several items we had on the lower shelf. We also had some electrical outlets in the kitchen near the stove that did not work. Plenty of dishes, silverware and cups. The AC worked great since it was so hot outside. We would like to use the cabin again when we have our next family reunion.

We got in a little late so it was kinda hard to find in the dark but once we figured it out everything was great. Easy access to the house with plenty of outside lighting. Fast response from host when needed. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and beds are comfortable. We did find some old dog poop in the living room and the remotes were missing in most of the rooms but overall everything was worth it and we will definitely return.

We were celebrating our 62nd anniversary with family. It was a great property for all of us. Had everything we needed. Everything was clean and ready for us. The property manager was available if we needed her. The elevator was a great help. The only problem we had was the downstairs was a lot warmer than the upstairs was. We would definitely consider staying there again.

Breathtaking views. Everything was to everyone's liking. The only thing I would change is the mattress on the pull out sofas in the theater room.

We didn’t find out the there are no interior stairs for the 4 floors until we arrived and we were encouraged minimal elevator usage.
Theater is awful and pretty much non functional. Dishes and cookware in the home was filthy. I actually pulled out a griddle for pancakes and it had so much thick bacon grease on it I about dropped it. I decided not to use it it because it was gross. We paid so much more for this cabin than in previous years renting luxury cabins that were impeccable. The large dining table had one leg ready to fall off which my husband fixed along with other things. Our family although disappointed in the accommodations had a wonderful time together. The contact for the property was very good.

This house was great for our group. It would be difficult with small children due to the outside stairs - The elevator was small and slow -
We did have a great time - amazing weather and views!

Family Reunion
Great views and plenty of room. We had 14 adults and 2 teens. We had our meals on site and played lots of games. We had plenty of room for games, puzzles, and hanging out. Hot tub was great too. House was close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg…we found some back roads to stay away from the traffic on the main drags. We had a couple of issues and they came to fix them quickly. Couple of hints. Top king room off game room …you can hear a lot of what is going on main level so make sure the people in those rooms are good with staying up late. Also room under kitchen hears noise from kitchen floor… early risers.

3 Star
The property is nice. There were some issues that we brought to the managers attention. Most were taken care of immediately. The cabin sits up high on the mountain. Upon arrival, the elevator wasn't working so we had to use the outside stairs to carry our luggage up and down the 4 level cabin, which isn't easy for older people or people with physical limitations. There was a spindle on the railing missing (wide enough for a small child or animal to get through), a couple deck boards that were trip hazards and a porch light that was not working. Those were fixed very quickly. But the elevator wasn't fixed until the next day. This was one of our biggest complaints as we rented this cabin because it had an elevator and our family members needed it.
The theater room was not as depicted in the pictures. The reclining chairs were badly ripped and the movie screen had stains on it. The manager said that this happened from the guest prior to us and that new seats were on order and hadn't come in yet. But as a paying customer of over $10,000, our expectation was that the theater would look like the pictures posted for this cabin, or at least the seats should have been covered with seat covers prior to our arrival. Walking in and seeing the theater like it was put a damper on our excitement. In order to feel comfortable sitting on the seats, we asked for and received extra bed sheets to cover them.
Please note, for shorter people or older people, the Jacuzzi tubs in some of the bathrooms sit up very high. Getting in and out may be difficult. Especially getting out while wet and having a long step down. There is a hand rail, but getting out can still be a little awkward. However, there is a walk in shower on one of the floors.
There was plenty of room in the cabin. The kitchen had plenty of cooking accessories, dishes, platters, etc. There was plenty of room to have family dinners together at the large table which was very nice to be able to socialize. The living room was spacious and the decks had seating available outdoors.
Stacy, the manager, was very responsive and called to let me know that the elevator wasn't working as we were on the road on our way to the cabin. That wasn't the best news to get as we were starting off our vacation but we did appreciated her call.
Overall, the area was very nice. Plenty of attractions close by. If you like to see black bear, Cades Cove is nearby. We saw many black bear and cubs too!

Elevator worked like a charm
Home was as advertised. The elevator was a must with my family as some are very limited on being able to walk up stairs and one uses a scooter. The only complaint was the door knobs are loose and hard to open the doors going onto the balconies. Not enough side tables or lamps in the bedrooms. There was one metal chair on the 3rd floor balcony that was broken when we arrived, left it upside down so no one would use.

Clean and big!
The cabin was the perfect size for our group. We were in town for a youth conference and it was a good location to get to town quickly and easily. The cable and internet weren't working, but we weren't at the house much so it didn't matter. My only complaint is that all the stairs are located outside. The only way to get from floor to floor on the inside of the cabin is the elevator that has rules against anyone under 18 using it without an adult. We were careful to follow the rules, but having 20 teens with us, it was very difficult because we didn't let them use the elevators. This meant they had to go outside, alone, at night if they needed to get to the kitchen or anything on another level. I did not like that, it was a definite safety issue.

Christmas stay
The house is very nice and had plenty of beds. TheChristmas tree was not expected but made the trip more enjoyable. We did not have TV or internet from Friday check in until Sunday night at 6:45. It took the repairman about 45 minutes to solve the problem.Instructions for the TVs would have been helpful. The TV in the 3rd floor bedroom would only get Netflix, sling, Hulu or Amazon so if you did not have one of these the TV was useless.

Fun at the Magical Moose
The building has a beautiful view facing East n the Smoky Mountains. The drive up to it was wild. Kitchen was fully stocked with equipment. Beds were comfortable except one bit pullouts are best for little people. Knotty pine throughout was lovely and didn’t need much decorating. Close to lots of activities and the National Park. Very enjoyable!

Great place for large groups. Amazing Views
We had a group of 19 for my sister's 50th birthday, and we really enjoyed our stay. Amazing views, plenty of space, everything we needed in the kitchen to cook, and many nearby activities for all ages. Even found a great berry picking "winery" just down the road.

The cabin was perfect. It was exactly what we needed for a family weekend trip. I would highly recommend staying here. 2 suggestions I would make; Change out the mattress in the queen bed by the movie room. Check the projector in the movie room, it went out a couple of time in the middle of a movie.

Thanksgiving With the extended family
Beautiful property. Great for large families. Plenty of space and restrooms for a large group. Family can gather together for meals, movies etc. but everyone also has their own space. Close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
Best views in the area.

Magical Moose
Had a great time with family and friends at the magical moose cabin. Amazing view from all 4 decks. Everything in the house worked great, had 20 ppl and didn't have a problem fighting over warm water. Kitchen was full of utensils, plates pots and pans. Would definitely stay here again with a big group. Managment (Stacey Cole) was very helpful with every phone call or text and could every question.

Great for a large group!
This cabin was great, our group really enjoyed it. It was very spacious and had everything you needed. We were most impressed with the kitchen supplies, they had everything you needed and more. The only suggestion that I would have for the owners is to move the TV from the second floor to the 3 rd floor, I think the bigger TV should be in the main area. Loved it, will definitely be back.

Great Time at Magical Moose!!!
We had a family vacation with our 86 year old mother. She and all of her family had a great time. The elevator worked beautifully and allowed her to go to the Movie Theater room every night for movie night. Plenty of bedrooms and baths along with a huge kitchen and plenty of dishware and pots and pans. We had a beautiful view and actually saw a bear down below us. Thank you for a wonderful memory!

Our stay was wonderful!
Coming from Miami, Fl., the scenic views, weather, and the cabin were just the change we were looking for. We woke up to a beautiful view of the Smokey Mountains. The cabin is located in an area overlooking other cabins and the Pigeon Forge Community. Our group enjoyed waking up in the cabins and having breakfast in the Smokey Mountains. The clear window views of the cabin gave way to breath taking observations of the Tennessee Mountains. The cabin had everything we needed, especially the movie theater. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated those who helped our stay to be a memorable one.

A beautiful cabin!
The Magical Moose is truly magical! We stayed the weekend for a women's retreat and the cabin was wonderful! Very clean, and had everything we needed for a great weekend. Stacy is so helpful and readily available for questions/concerns.
Not a complaint, but my only suggestion would be to maybe have a central location for the linens (like maybe the laundry area). There were a few issues with people finding linens and pillows for the sofa beds and enough towels and wash cloths for each person. (there were 27 of us, so we were pretty spread out).
The elevator is wonderful! It allowed everyone (even those that aren't able to use stairs) to really be part of the group and get to all the different cabin levels.
Beautiful view! We greatly enjoyed the rocking chairs on the deck!
We'll definitely be staying here again for our next retreat! :)

Family & Friends Long weekend getaway
Our stay was great!! The house was fantastic. The Theatre room and game room kept the kids (teenagers) entertained. They didn't want to leave!! The manager was the best to work with! Could not have asked for any better!!!

It had everything we were looking for in our search for a cabin for our family vacation.
The description of the house online is accurate. It is a great layout for a family where everyone wants their own space yet plenty of room to all come together. Well equipped kitchen, large family gathering space, wonderful views! The ramp and elevator allowed my mother and another individual in a wheelchair to access all levels with ease. We received good response when we called Stacy with a few questions. Close to the Park and Gatlinburg. Very convenient location. I would recommend it!

Loved it, Loved it, LOVED IT!
I can honestly say, WOW.. My family and I had a wonderful stay at Magical Moose.. The view is breath-taking and, it just so happened that we couldn't have timed our visit any better -- the skies were clear and you could see forever.. The cabin itself is amazing.. there is so much room that you can easily get lost.. The only reason I gave it a 4-star rating was because the beds were very firm.. as in really hard.. I solved that problem, though, by going home (I just live in the next county) and getting my air mattress and sleeping on the floor. Others in my group also mentioned they woke up stiff because of the firmness.. however, if that's not a problem for you, you'll absolutely love this place! We had a couple of minor problems (I sat down on one of the beds when we first got there and it collapsed into the floor.. the repair guy was there in no time to replace the section that had broken off and, 10 minutes, he was finished! very nice guy!); one other little issue was the handle to the oven came off.. since we had 3 guys with us who have tools, that was fixed in no time and the rolls didn't burn! The house does make a lot of noise (i.e. pops), especially that 1st night due to the fact that it's heating up and being used but that's what all wooden cabins do. The owners were fantastic -- they went out of their way to help me with financing because I didn't read the fine print that said I needed to use a check for the final payment. My niece left her special pepper grinder and Stacy retrieved it and met her in Pigeon Forge to give back. This place made for some very special memories that all of us will get to keep forever. You will not go wrong by selecting this beautiful home!! It's simply amazing!

Magical Moose
Enjoyed the large fridge and large freezer in kitchen as well as comfortable ten seat dining table. Surprised to find stairs to each of the 4 levels outside the house, didn't study the floor plans ha. Using elevator was slow. View of mountains from each balcony was very nice even though it included a view of smaller cabins below. 10 pm quiet rule may be a consideration for others. Lots of room to spread out and relax. Clean and ready for us at checkin.
