Great location.
Not clear from pictures that access to the toilet was not easy as an arch is directly in front of the door. I'm 188 cm tall and it access wasn't easy.

Design and location
It can be a little bit cold inside

The house is beautiful, easy access to local restaurants and places of interest. The host is an amazing person who was at hand and was so helpful
Air conditioning would have made it perfect, but can understand why it isn’t possible

Perfectly placed in old Valletta, you can walk anywhere, with ferries to take you to the other sides of the harbor. Restaurants and shops can be found within a stones throw.
If you're tall (I'm dutch..), getting into the bathroom can be a bit of a challenge (due to an old arch, part of the building being in the way). Getting into and around inside the apartment is impossible if you are wheelchair bound.

The location was great.
The loo was so far from the bedroom.
Thé wifi didn’t work in the kitchen

The house is a very charming place, beautifully renovated and furnished. Everything looks exactly as in the photos. Very atmospheric and cosy place with all facilities needed for staying out of home. The location is great - in the heart of the old town of Valetta, in a walking distance to the main bus station and Elmo's Fort, close to a bakery and local shops with food. If you decide to stay in this house, you should be aware that there are three floors with steep, old, stone made stairs. The bedroom is on the top floor, the bathroom and lavatory in the ground floor -a lot of gymnastic. Not recommended for families with small children.
In the winter time there is really very cold - take socks and a thick sweater. 😁

The historic property was beautiful and utterly charming. Although I could not recommend it for anyone above 6' in height because of the low doorways, it was delightfully different from your standard apartment. And James was a fantastic and responsive host. We had a wonderful stay!
The bed's mattress was thin enough that we could feel the bed springs and likely should be replaced.

It's really charming place for a short stay. Despite we never met James is a good host who organized a great first impression about the house. We're grateful for all those candles, lights and even a small welcome gift of a few drinks and cereals.
The house is full of cozy stuff like lamps, vases, mirrors and reproductions, pillows and carpets. Water heater is small but does its job very good - water runs extra hot. Internet connection is quite fast. The property is a great opportunity to feel inside of history - you just need to accept its rules (some cons).
Sands fall periodically at the dinner table, TV table and some other surfaces. You can really meet a scorpion in the basement where bathroom and kitchen facilities are located (perhaps it was the only guy from one of the comments above but we pushed it outside). The mattress was awful - "tired" and not comfy at all. Unfortunately there is no any connection (wifi/cellular) in the basement. Detergent for clothes and shampoo aren't included which I personally think is better to offer instead of welcome foods. Some photos were outdated which might be confusing.

Very charming old house on 3 floors, all natural stone. Very nicely decorated and thus very cosy. Even quite spacious. Everything in Valletta within walking distance, but the area was rather quiet; bars just 3 minutes away but no noise on this street.
I arrived very late at night to an illuminated house with candles, breakfast for the next morning and some drinks, as it was too late for any kind of grocery shopping, that was a really nice welcome! The next guests arrived late too, so the owner allowed me to check out a bit later. The communication with him was great before and throughout my stay.

Well located, charming, very characterful, excellent host. GiGi, a well stocked grocery only 2 minutes walk and open 07-21 every day. Also nearby a bakery with fresh bread.
Nothing.

The house, it was like living in a piece of history. The property was in a residential area which we like and was 10 minutes walk to the centre and 5 minutes walk to the sea front for a nice cooling swim off the rocks with the locals. the property didnt have air con but had large fans going in all rooms to keep it cool so was cool enough to sleep comfortably.
There was nothing bad about the house. One thing I would point out to anyone thinking about booking is that the shower room and toilet are in the cellar and the stone arches are very low at points (especially at the entrance of the toilet). I am only 5 foot 5 and had to duck, my slightly taller husband knocked his head a couple of times. There is nothing that can or should be done about this, its just part of the charm of the building, but if you are over 6 feet tall you might want to consider this.

I love the traditional style and tasteful furnishings . James the host was very helpful
Because the kitchen and dinning area where in the basement it felt a little damp down there

Such a cool space! Funky nooks and crannies with thoughtful decor and excellent lighting and rugs. And James is the man! Loved his communication.
I'm tall and there are lots of low hanging thingies. Arches to duck under and low ceilings in staircases. I left with some bruises on my head and shoulders. But, for a short stay, this was not a big deal.

We always love our stay here as location is most central, perfect to explore Valletta and the rest of Malta. Really good price for such a beautiful medieval accomodation and so central based .Staying in this property was perfect for us, we loved the old authentic features, the layout and the décor. Being build a few hundred years ago, touching the walls, was like touching history (I love going back in time). The place was clean and we had everything we needed, very good value for money. James is a great host, full of information and always available to help. Thanks James :-) I would recommend staying in this property if you want to be in Valletta. Valletta is an amazing city, full of great restaurants serving Maltese food as well as other. It is full of things to do and see !! A great experience.
I liked everything in the apartment was a pleasure to stay in.
