Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Valletta -- exactly what we wanted, with plenty of space for three adults sharing a room. It was walkable to everything we wanted to see in Valletta and we were able to park our rental car nearby. The breakfast was excellent! Thank you to the gracious staff for a lovely stay!
Our visit was too short -- we only wish we had stayed longer! Looking forward to returning some day.

Great central location, the staff were friendly and helpful. Variety at breakfast and having a coffee machine in the room is a bonus! Also shampoo, conditioner, body wash was included in the room.

The Palazzo Paolina is in a brilliant location - walking distance to lots of Valletta's "must see" sites. We booked the suite (room 401) with a wonderful terrace. The jacuzzi wasn't working but we were told of that in advance & got a discount. It was a sun-trap which in February was great, but might not be so great in the summer. Breakfast was included and was very good - they cater for the British (bacon & eggs), the Germans (cheese & ham), other Europeans (croissant, delicious cake, bread, jam, salmon) along with tea, coffee and fruit juices. Our bedroom had tea and coffee-making facilities. The staff were friendly and very helpful. There is a lift to all floors and wheelchair accessibility into the hotel itself from the street.
Whilst we had a very large bathroom and the shower had wonderful water pressure, the water temperature veered from absolutely freezing to scalding within seconds. It was very difficult to get the temperature "just right". Our room on the top floor was relatively quiet, but our friends were on the second floor in room 202 (street facing) and said that it was rather noisy. There is a market next door so there were lorries/dustcarts unloading early in the morning and one morning, a motorist started beeping incessantly until our friend leaned out of his window and shouted at her! But I think that comment will apply to any hotel in central Valletta - I guess that's a downside to being very central.

Perfect location for culture and history in Valletta.
Close distance to ferries, bus station and other means of transport to check the rest of the island(s).
Really nice and professional staff, pleasant amenities (toiletries, in-room coffee, tea and water), lovely décor and fine breakfast.
Comfortable bed, satellite TV, not noisy at all even though downtown... what else could you ask for?
The wifi has its ups and downs.
Otherwise, everything just great.

My third stay at the PP this year. Once again, I was not disappointed. The location is perfect, quiet street (St-Paul's) where the taxi can drop you off in front of the hotel. The Grand Harbour and Valletta city Centre are within 5 minutes' walk. The area is full of restaurants and bars, but the street is quiet. The staff at reception are very kind, knowledgeable and helpful, whether it be restaurants, lost luggage, places to visit or museums. The hotel itself is decorated with taste and lives up to the description of palace. My room was more like a suite, very clean, with a large bathroom. All facilities work without hitch (wifi, computer, tv). The breakfast is plentiful and served in an arched refurbished cellar, which enables you to begin your day in suitable historical settings. I will return as soon as I can. Very highly recommended.
Brussels airport lost my luggage, but there were shops close by so I was fully replenished within 30 minutes of the morning of my arrival. Nothing to do with the PP!

The front desk staff were so kind and helpful. The location was excellent, right in the centre and near to the food hall where we went multiple times. The room had excellent air conditioning, comfortable beds, plenty of towels and shower was clean and worked well.
The continental breakfast was not great. We only had it the first day, even though it was included in the price. They had a high chair for our baby which was great, but after I sat her in it I realised it hadn’t been cleaned and there were little bugs crawling on it…

Highly recommend the hotel and location. The staff were exceptional, especially both ladies at the reception. Also, the breakfast choice was far beyond my expectations and very tasty.
Nothing at all. If I was forced to point out something. TV keeps disconnecting; worth looking into the issue.

Highly recommend hotel and location. Staff were exceptional especially the Serbian lady on reception (sorry cannot remember her name) who was very helpful and polite. A most memorable break with friends on such a wonderful island and city. Also the breakfast choice was far beyond our expectations and catered for all. Grazzi

The hotel is centrally located in Valletta which made it easy for us to access local attractions, buses, ferries etc. Our room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was tasty and lots of selection. The receptionist were very helpful when asking for advice on where best to go and booking taxis.

Amazing terrace if the suite. Feeling in a dream.
No briefing of the personnel about the jacuzzi. Bad internet connection. Door locked before the set time ans no one responding to the phone !!!

The breakfast arrangement was excellent. Very good indeed. Staff were helpful and attentive.
I wasn't entirely comfortable being told that the front desk wasn't manned after 22:00 but that could just be me.

sparkling clean
perfect location - all attractions easy to reach by foot and hotel also accessible by taxi ( majority hotels in Valletta are located within pedestrianised areas).
lovely historical building with traditional Maltese balcony and decorative features
peeling wallpaper
low mounted TV in a walkway between a bathroom and a front door - bashing into it walking passed

The location is very good.
Kind staff.
I'm disappointed that the pictures are artistically done but they are lying about it
The wifi doesn’t work in the room.
There is no signal in the room.
The breakfast is underground, in a very small and ugly and cold underground.
The rooms are a lot smaller then in pictures. I booked a twin room ( at least that was in the picture) but it was a simple triple room.

Comfortable, quiet hotel in the centre of Valletta with good access to the harbour, centre and restaurants. Friendly & helpful staff who took time to help and advise.
They don't have 24hr reception and we struggled with the phone numbers provided to make contact on arrival at the airport. However there was someone in the hotel on our arrival.
