I am 80 so I was needing a place to sleep, which met my required assets. I don't know about romantic...sorry! And my host was knowledgeable and helpful ... what more could I ask except to say thank you.
Not much.

Nothing.
No privacy, rude, quarrelsome host, dirty room, old, discolored towel, creaky bed, no air conditioner, no curtains, outdoor shower, even commode has an outside window with no curtains but a stained glass lower half, there was a car right outside the bedroom window which has no curtains. EXTREMELY UNSAFE, I HAVE CALLED MY LOCAL POLICE BACK HOME WITH DETAILS TELLING THEM I'LL CONFIRM IF I GET OUT SAFE. BOOKING.COM WAS ZERO HELP. IT LISTED PRIVATE BATHROOM, HOW IS AN OUTSIDE WINDOW WITH HALF A TRANSPARENT WINDOW PRIVATE?? HOST SAID THERE WERE NO ROOMS WITH CURTAINS OR PRIVACY, BUT IT SEEMS FROM THE OUTSIDE THAT THE ROOM NEXT DOOR DOES HAVE CURTAINS AND IS PROBABLY EMPTY.

fresh fruit, great views, authentic Hawaii experience
no good walking path to anywhere but that’s not their fault but hopefully a land surveyor sees this and makes adjustments

Refrigerator and microwave were useful. Parking was convenient. The host was friendly. The bed was fairly comfortable.
The place was quite small, which was expected. Cleanliness could have been better. The drawers in the dresser and bedside stands had obviously not been cleaned, and the screens were dirty.

We loved the location, and the bed was comfortable. while it’s a ways away from the main shopping areas, we didn’t want to be in the middle of the busiest areas so this was great. It felt like somewhere that someone could actually live, vs a hotel room. the outdoor shower was also really nice, and we loved the resident cats on the property. There’s no television, which was really welcome and helped us to unplug and relax.
Not really a dislike, but some small blinds in the windows overlooking the driveway would be a fantastic addition. That’s it. everything else was great.

The view of the sunset on the ocean was spectacular! Feral chickens with a dozen chicks were entertaining. Roosters were beautiful
Parking was tight, refrigerator was turned off and a gel pack in the freezer was leaking.

Owner operator was friendly and helpful
The impression we got from the website description was the place was in the town, not way outside of it and the grounds were not very nice aesthetically.

The bed was comfortable. Nice cross ventelation.
The only place to sit was on the bed. I had to get in the shower (in the stream of water) to turn it on so water wouldn't get on the bathroom floor.

It is located on a hillside off of a one lane highway. You have a view of the ocean from the room. The surprise feature is the outdoor shower with stones, ferns and plants landscaped outside of a sliding glass door.

This BNB fit the bill I needed. It was in the location I needed. The bed was good.
I would have preferred twin beds. I had to buy a cot so that each of us could sleep in our own space ( but I knew this before arrival). This was not the owners issue. However it would have been better if the owner had an extra cot available. Thats only a 50 dollar purchase and is one that would help guests ( say with children or an older person who does not ( like me) like to share a double bed).
There was a issue: This owner should better understand people who are traveling.

I LOVED the outdoor shower. The bed was really comfortable and soft and the view was amazing. I also loved the location.
I wish there was coffee so I could have made coffee in the coffee machine.

The owner, Farsheed, is super nice and helpful. A gracious host. The setting was comfortable and relaxing. I'm used to hotels, so the kitchen facilities in the bungalow were a surprising bonus.
The location is relaxing and away from crowds, but you need to have a car or access to a ride. I had expected to stay with family visiting in Kona, but there was a last minute mix-up and they didn't have the extra room. But they had a car and we went together each day.

This is not a hotel. This accommodation is a part someone's home property and represents real life and real Hawaii. The site may not be picture perfect, but the host treats you as though you are a friend coming to stay, and when I, as a solo female traveler, found myself twice in a big jam needing help, the host (and his wife) went more than out of his way to help me out. This type of genuine local kindness you don't always get from a corporate hotel or resort!

There is a microwave, minifridge, coffee maker and even a little electric egg maker. Provided are coffee, mugs, paper plates and plastic silverware...also toiletries and towels. Strong wifi, free parking, hot water, a comfy bed, cathedral ceiling with a fan and beautiful sounds of nature at night with a view of the stars and the sea on the horizon. A quiet spot with character, an easy 10 minute drive from town, 20 from the airport.
The driveway is on a little hill and you cannot see the property from the road (which is actually a good thing) so initially wasn't 100% certain I was in the right place, though the address is perfectly accurate, and host greeted me immediately to wash away all uncertainty.

The hosts were very hospitable and respectful
Perfect place above town to unwind and exist peacefully
