Buen servicio y descanso en el valle

Trato muy agradable, nos recibió el dueño, nos enseñó las instalaciones y las formulas sostenibles del hotel (no desperdicio de agua, reutilizar para decorar....) El hotel está muy integrado en el entorno, respetuoso con él. Dispone de restaurante y bar en la azotea.

Highs and lows

Food was amazing both dinner and breakfast. Location is unique with great views over Paul Valley, also good to start or finish some hikes. We recommend to do a hike from Cova to the hotel the very first day, another aluguer can drop off your luggage while you hike.

While the local staff was lovely, you could tell the owner was running a business. She was a bit harsh with hiking recommendations, when asked for further info on a hike - my partner and I had mobility restrictions due to previous injuries, her reply was "I'm not a doctor" and went away. Not as helpful as we would expect. Do NOT take the 45€ private transfer from Porto Novo to the hotel, it is easy and much cheaper to go by aluguer (public transport). Unless are very tight on time aluguer is a better option for excursions.

Had a lovely stay

We loved our stay in AldeaPanoramica. The location is incredible and you get to enjoy amazing views of the Paul Valley from all angles. Staff was very nice and welcoming. Breakfast and dinners were also great.

Nice place to stay - great location for hikes

The location, the views, the gardens were all stunning. The rooms were nicely decorated and the beds were comfy. We had dinner there twice, food was very tasty however the portions were small and its a bit expensive.

The packed lunch was overpriced for what you get. For some reason it was more expensive to take a sandwich, (even if you get "two"), then to eat it in the restaurant?

THE place to stay in Santo Antao

- the location is spot on in the valley where you can easily explore Paúl, Ribeira Grande, Pontas do Sol and hime up and down Cova crater - the whole place is very clean, the rooms spacious enough with extra comfortable mattresses to recharge after a day hiking - the breakfast is delicious and varied; fruits, eggs on demand (scrambled, boiled, omelette), yoghurt, granola, coffee/tea, bread, ham and cheese, muffins, homemade butter, jam - the staff is exceptional, very helpful, polite and welcoming, great cook and chefs - Petra knows everyone in the area and will happily answer all your questions and give you insider tips - there’s water stations free of charge to refill your bottles during your stay - dinners are served in the restaurant and are amazing, the food is well prepared and of high standard for the area, we loved eating with everyone - the swimming pool is super warm, there are decking chairs to use whenever - no aircon in the room but no need as the temperature drops during the night - zero mosquitoes! - THE VIEW!

I honestly cannot think of anything. It was fantastic! I loved staying at Aldea Panoramica and would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Santo Antao

excellent position in The middle of The Amazing Paul Valley. Comfortable and nice rooms. Relax in the swimming pool. They organize hiking with guides and give advice.

Luxury stay in Paul valley

The room was really nice. Drinking water is provided, which is very helpful. A pool is a luxury which you don't find everywhere in cape verde.

The dinner tasted very nice and was of good quality, but portions are too small for hikers like us.

Nice place but sleep ruined by party music

Beautiful setting and great location for hikes. Staff were friendly. Food was fantastic.

Unfortunately it was a very poor night's sleep the one night we were there. It was impossible to sleep because of the dance/rave music that was blaring. I don't know where it was coming from, or if it is a regular occurrence, but it was impossible to sleep until it ended at 2.30am. Which isn't great considering we were exhausted from hiking that day, and also had to get up early the next day for more hiking.

An amazing guesthouse at the top of Valley de Paul.

The amazing location at the top of the Vale de Paul ! Petra and her husband are amazing and very knowledgeable. The swimming pool was great. The nice spirit in the hotel and the amazing French cook who was preparing delicious food for us 😁

Unforgettable experience of the local culture and nature

Panoramica is almost at the end of the road into the Paul valley which provides you with easy access to multiple amazing hiking routes (ask Petra for tips), no need to take an aluguer or taxi. For breakfast they have delicious homemade yoghurt, good combi with molasse and banana! Petra and Fabi have integrated so well with the community and can take you to the local (small) outdoor parties. Next month is carnaval and the guys where practicing the drums on the street. Very nice to have an unforgettable experience of the local culture!

Wifi in the room was not strong and only possible to pay with cash.

The perfect stay if you hike but also want to chill :)

Great atmosphere, perfect location, lovely pool. The rooms are pretty, shower is hot and the beds are good. I slept like a baby! The accommodation is situated in a beautiful area and the people from the village are really friendly! Also try Ady Juju restaurant in town for lunch or diner! really nice food :)

Very nice accomodation. In the middle of the mountains, beautiful view. Good location for some hikes aswell. It's accessible by aluguer. The room is very clean. There are several places in the accomodation where you can refill your water bottle. In the bar/restaurant you can order drinks or eat throughout the day and the prices are fair. For dinner there's a fixed menu (everyday something else) which was good aswell. The owner is very friendly and helpful I recommend this place, it has everything you need to relax after some hiking :)

Petra is an amazing host. She is helpful and helps you to get around on the island. The location is beautiful, the swimming pool is lovely and refreshing and everything was clean. The food is delicious. Would definitely recommend this place!

Clam stay in a magical accommodation

The location is magical. It's the perfect start for a lot of hikes and the staff are very helpful to start your hike very prepared. The views from the complex is truly amazing.

Breathtaking view, clean rooms, it’s a good place to stay for a night, max. 2

There is no privacy, rooms are situated next to each other; one table and 2 chairs on the terrace for 2 rooms, you can easily hear everything what happens in the another rooms; there are many restrictions that you need to obtain in the rooms, e.g. no food in the room, collecting not used water from the shower in the bucket, no flashing toilet paper; the place is on situated very high on the mountain so whenever you want to go out you need to be ready for hiking once you just step out the apartment; for the dinner there is just one menu, no choice; no Wi-Fi in the room

We had an excellent stay at Aldea Panorámica, the garden, buildings and surroundings are beautiful. Even after a week looking at the mountains never got old! The staff are very friendly and helpful, and Petra and Fabian are very attentive caring hosts. We even got the chance to go to a local party with them one night which was very fun. Petra was kind enough to let me work from her office as I was on a lot of video calls for work! For anyone planning on working remotely, WiFi was as good as I'd imagine you can get in the mountains so was great for emails etc. However video calls could be shaky as you can't get particularly strong signal and obviously share amongst guests. Definitely not a problem for most guests & would recommend staying here and not working so you get all the opportunities to hike and explore the beautiful area! Thank you very much for our stay.

Perfect spot for amazing hikes

just Perfect : don’t hesitate to book this place . it is a perfect place as starting point for beautiful hikes through the mountains. Afterwards you can relax in the beautiful and well maintained garden with pool and have a nice local dinner in the evening.

Gorgeous location, classy rooms, expert staff and stunning views.

The location is stunning, the rooms are simply and chicly designed, the food is terrific, the staff (Hetty!) are superb and super helpful with transport and route planning. There's nothing not to like about Casa Maracuja - especially if you're using it as a hiking base to explore Santo Antao. We're genuinely planning to come back. :-)
