It was a great stay

It was close to the pier (10 minute walk) and there were stores and places to eat on the same block

The room could have been cleaner.

Clean toilet and shower room.

The most important is the toilets and shower rooms are clean! The bed is comfortable and have curtain for privacy. Spacious space in the room for my small luggage and to perform my prayer. They also provided a small locker (with key) outside the room. The location is just behind Le Meridin and within a walking distance to the Filipino market and a stone throwaway from the Jesselton Jetty Point. I was staying at the Hostel for Borneo Marathon and the receptionist, Delsie was very helpful to provide the contact person who arranged the transportation to the Likas Stadium.

The only downside the exterior of the building is a little bit dodgy, but once you enter the hostel, it was nice. Like they say, dont judge a book by its cover.

Exceptional

I enjoyed my stay a lot at Signel Hostel. Everything was perfect: friendly staff, clean room and bathrooms, quiet, comfortable, air conditioned room, slippers for all guests, lockers provided.

I liked everything and wish I could have stayed longer :)

generally well maintained and clean. staffs are friendly and helpful.

no safety deposit box. other guest brushed teeth in the room which is kinda disgusting.

Great clean location, perfect for friends to stay together

Very convenient location, staffs were helpful and the cleaniness far exceeds my expectation. Airconditioning was good, sheets feels clean, toilet and showers all in working and clean condition.

Understandably, sound proofing within the hostel is less than desired.

Absolutely everything was perfect. Got upgraded to the new sister hostel and it was stunning. The most comfortable beds ever.

Very good

All is good. Just- :: have a noisy roomate - Barely sleep as she kept making noises like clicking/knocking on something starting me check in on 5pm up to 6am 😂 gosh. But i know you guys cant do anything on that. Acceptable. :: rooms a bit smelly because of her - i think she's a long term guest. Hopefully you can put an air freshener next time.

Would come back again

Location was excellent. Staff were very helpful too. The rooms were very clean and comfy. There's a small communal room which is great to meet other travelers.

There's no breakfast included and only a small kitchen facility to use to prepare food. No where to put our larger bags safely

Cost effective

Best value for money ever. The beds feel luxurous and everything else is just normal and works. Staff was super friendly and knows many languages fluently.

Very good staff and location! Near almost everything. Staff was helpful. It is good value for the money. There is everything you need. Litlle bit old house but atmosphere was nice :)

avoid if you can !

location is perfect and comfortable beds

staff are just very lazy and not helpful at all.. you ask them whatever they always telling you that don’t know.. reception always away.. I guess this place is more home for locals than a hostel for backpacks! also without breakfast.. not even coffee! there’s just few leftovers as free items that you can use
