I booked this place for a ski trip. Great location for getting to the mountains. The reason I booked this particular property was because it was listed as having a hot tub (and a pool).
There is no hot tub or pool on the property; the listing is inaccurate. When I pointed this out to the host, they tried to argue that their jetted bath tubs count as hot tubs. I will let the reader decide whether they agree.

Great location for what we needed, house was a bit tight but served its purpose.

We enjoyed staying in this cozy home. We wished the dinning area had more space but we made it work.
4.3
Great location which is the reason we rented the property. That being said, 3 of the 5 sleeping spaces (2 bedrooms and a futon room without doors) are located in the basement. The basement is accessed by very steep stairs - like something one would encounter on a ship. The stairs are probably not suitable, or accessible, by people who aren't fit or "able". The ceilings in the basement are just over 6 feet high, and there are no egress windows. We didn't notice any CO2 alarms; there was no fire alarm in at least one one of the bedrooms. Water in a Basement bathroom is hooked up backwards. Owners were very responsive to concerns about a couple issues and we appreciated that.

Ski trip
Located close to the freeway, easy access to ski resorts. Smooth booming process, very responsive host.

Check in was easy and price/value was good. When we first arrived, we had a short list of things needing attention and the owner responded immediately. The next day we had everything we asked for. Impressive! The place was a bit cramped for 8 adult men on a ski trip but it worked out. We had a great time.

*The house had enough bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate a large crowd.
*The owners were responsive when contacted
*Comfortable beds in each room.
*Jacuzzi tubs in the bottom bedrooms were wonderful to soak our achy muscles after our day of skiing.
*LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! The house is in a perfect location to get to many of the ski areas in less than an hour.
*There were two drawbacks: The main Living Room area only had seating for 4 though there is a lower level tv room with seating for 4. If there were 4 adults and 4 kids, it would be perfect, but not perfect for an all adult crowd ; and the kitchen area seating was super tight regardless of adult/kid ratio.
Thank you to our hosts! We really enjoyed our visit!

Nice little house with 4 full bathrooms.
I rented this house specifically for the 4 bathrooms. A group of women were staying for a convention it worked out nicely.

Everything worked out great. Enough room for the whole family. No tv service , there are 2 small TVs one upstairs one down stairs so take streaming devices to connect to TVs with you or watch tv on phones. Wifi services were good. If your taller than 6 foot may have tuff time downstairs ceilings a little low.

-Great Internet
-Comfy Beds
-Tons of food delivery options nearby
-Lots of cooking utensils in the kitchen
-Not too far from the Mountains, Lakes, and the Salt Flats
I'd say if you're looking for a place to rest and enjoy some good internet speeds after a long day of skiing then this home is perfect for a group of 4 or less.
Was an hour late to get my luggage out thanks to SLC Airport traffic but that was no problem for them (thank you again for me being a little late on check-out).
Thank you Art and Kathy!

Nice Location and roomy
Property was close to all the ski resorts and great shopping and restaurants. House did not look big but has a full basement. Back yard is large and probably would be great in the summer time.

We rented this home for our large group, and while it technically worked, there were some difficulties.
CONS:
The 5th bedroom is actually more of a basement family room with a twin pull-out and twin futon. That room thankfully does have a bathroom, but was awkward for the couple that stayed in that room, as it was not private.
The home was very minimally stocked, as compared to other VRBO homes we have stayed in. We ran out of toilet paper and could not find trash bags, etc. Also no screens on most of the windows...
The ceilings in the basement were extremely short-- we are tall people and had to actually duck in several of the areas to avoid hitting our head.
PROS:
4 of the 5 rooms had their own bathroom, which was very nice.
The owners were very responsive when we messaged them prior to arriving.
The home is centrally located to where we needed to go.

Old, stairs difficult to manage with suitcase
Very frustrated. AC went out. Phone number for owner was inactivated. VRBO had to get involved to help me. After missing half a day of the conference I was there to attend the owner said they would bring fans. That was at 4 pm. At 9 pm when we got home no fans were there. I called again and the owner went off on me. Threatened to evict us etc. AC going out happens.... Owner not responding then chewing me out... Not cool.

Perfect for Families/large groups
We are moving to Salt Lake City and needed a rental for my family of five while we searched for homes. Art and Kathy are more than helpful and kind, and this house was so very well equipped. Every bathroom was stocked, the kitchen had every gadget you could possible need, and the rooms are comfortable and inviting. We all felt very much at home here and enjoyed walking around the fabulous Sugarhouse neighborhood. The backyard is spacious and fenced in, a perfect play space for kids and grown ups. The home was clean, well-maintained, and Art and Kathy are lovely owners. We are so very happy we stayed here!

Wonderful Vacation House
itle: Wonderful Vacation House.
We stayed in this home while visiting our family in Salt Lake City. It was neat and clean and was stocked with everything we needed. We loved the mini suites downstairs and having 4 bathrooms was a plus for the girls. The owners were quick to respond to everything we needed. Thank you for letting us stay in this house.

A great value in Salt Lake. The property is very well maintained and management was helpful while here. We loved the spaciousness of the property. The house was clean and had everything we needed to whip up breakfast before heading out for the day. The house also had wifi which was very helpful for us. This house will have everything you would need for a relaxing stay in Salt Lake and for a great price. I would certainly stay here again and would bring my son next time we visit. Great value and location to stay! I can already picture us back - enjoy!

Perfect location and facilities for all ages of our family.

Spectacular 4th of July Stay
We came to Salt Lake City for an Independence Day show @ the USANA Amphitheatre as well as seeing local attractions. The Sugarhouse location just can't be beat. It seemed everything we wanted to do was within 5-15 minutes. Once you get the lay of the land it is easy breezy to go anywhere.
The house was very nice. We arrived late (after dark) entry was easy and lots of instructions around the house help out. The kitchen is cozy but all amenities are there. We had a large group so we filled the refer/freezer quickly so you might want an ice chest (we did) with a large group that planned on cooking lots of meals.
The street in front of the house is relatively busy but we were never aware of traffic noise. House was well insulated.
There is a basement - so if you stand 6'3 or higher just be aware of doorways downstairs. :) The basement has 3 bathrooms plus the washer and dryer and great sleeping space. Also the stairway to the basement is a small angled stairway that takes a little practice. Kids love it though. I would recommend you save the two up-stairs bedrooms for seniors or disabled if that is part of your group.
There is a large fenced in backyard great for letting kids run and play and extremely private if you wanted to get some sun.
SLC requires you separate your trash (aluminum/plastic/cardboard) so keep that in mind if you are not accustomed to doing that where you live.
Overall it was a great experience and the owners were exceptional to deal with.
My oldest daughter accidentally left behind her journal and their housekeeper found it and they mailed it to us in a matter of days. Very kind, accomodating folks.
The parks in the area are just spectacular. Consider making a visit to them as part of your trip.
We have 10 children some of them are special needs so my wife has high standards when it comes to "safe" places for our kids- This was an excellent experience and we plan a return trip.

A great place for a girls getaway!
This was a great house for my friends and I to meet for a ski week. We loved all the bedrooms and bathrooms! We didn't think that we would all be able to stay together since there were so many girls coming and we were so excited to find this house. We all had such a great time skiing and we were very close to many ski resorts. We also enjoyed the area of Sugarhouse and downtown SLC. There were so many great restuarants and lots of shopping. We are already planning for another ski trip next year and we hope this house is available! Some of us want to come back to enjoy the some summer weather and do some golfing. We hope we can make that happen. Not only are the owners friendly and helpful but they also have several other vacation homes to meet anybodys needs.

Perfect for our needs!
We needed lots of sleeping space and bathrooms for several couples to get ready for a family wedding; we also needed a place to hang out between the wedding and the reception. This place was just what we needed! It was very charming. The listing photos accurately reflected the appearance and the amenities. The eating/cooking/ and gathering places are small for a five bedroom house, but for us that was fine! The yard was nice and big and the parking very adequate for all of our cars. The owner was great to work with; she answered all of my questions and was very helpful! I would recommend this property especially if you need lot of sleeping place and you all want is to be together and if you are not doing a lot of cooking/eating at the home. Overall a great experience!
