Lovely basic cottage with everything you need. Very clean on arrival, great clear communication with the host, and superb spot! Sadly we were here for only one night but we’ll definitely come back to enjoy it and the area for longer…thank you! *****

Loved our stay at Diglis Lock house. Felt very well looked after by our hostS Noel and Linda. They made up a fire for us and left us breakfast foods. The house is very cosy and we enjoyed exploring the area. Worcester is a vibrant city and we had some great food at G&Tea and Tortugas.

Great stay at Diglis cottage. Cosy rooms full of character and an easy walk into Worcester.
The lock keeper is a bit ofva jobsworth but it didn't spoil our stay.
Highly recommended.

Quaint property on an island across a lock! This house was well equipped, and just like the photos. It's in a great location, within walking distance to the center of Worcester. It was a wild experience walking across the lock to go to the house...not many people can say they've stayed on an island like this!

Perfect night away - woke up to birdsong. Thoughtful breakfast package in the fridge and essentials to make our stay comfortable too. The cottage feels homely and loved and immediately makes you feel welcome. Excellent info/instructions for arrival. Lick keepers equally friendly and welcoming. Would recommend and would stay again.

We had a lovely weekend stay in this little cottage on an island within an easy stroll of Worcester City and all it has to offer. Very clear, concise instructions on our stay with a lovely welcome pack including tea, milk, eggs etc. Such a unique place to stay…highly recommend

It’s the loveliest place. Cosy and comfortable. Really pleasant and helpful hosts ( came and relit the fire after I let it go out!). Beautiful views and super location. Saw 3 kingfishers having never seen one before. Lots to do in Worcester a comfortable 15 minute walk away. Loved the weekend.

The cottage is across two locks, and does sit in a picturesque setting if you only look one way! if you look back over the lock you have a view of the industrial estate.
It was hard to carry all the luggage, pram, cot, etc., across the two locks to access the house.
The rear garden is not accessible from within the house, you have to walk around the side of the house. We did not find this suitable for our 6yr old, as there are other people on the island.
We found the smell of sewage offensive, this was due to there being a sewage plant close to the cottage.
We dealt with eBay and Amazon deliveries for the host on 4 occasions.
The stairs are very steep, understandably so as it is a small old cottage.
Renovation work going on in the house adjoining the cottage, hammering, and drilling.
We feel that these things needed to be pointed out to future holiday lets.
We tried to highlight these issues directly to the hosts, but we received a short blunt reply stating they did not see any credibility in them.

Although we only stayed for two nights, Diglis Cottage has become a firm favourite of ours.
The cottage had everything we needed and we were alsoable to enjoy the gardens. The view of the canal and Worcester Cathedral

Lovely peaceful location. Very well-equipped property. We didn't have opportunity to enjoy outdoor space, as we were out every day at Commonwealth Games. It all looked lovely though!

A lovely cottage in a unique location on an island in the River Severn. The approach is through an industrial estate, but don't let that put you off as the location itself is pretty special. There's a great view back up the river to the cathedral, and you can sit in the garden and watch the boats going through the adjacent locks. The cottage is small but well appointed and recently decorated. All was spotlessly clean and comms with the owners were good. Breakfast things in the fridge was a nice touch. Just a couple of things to be aware of. First, the only access to the property is on foot over narrow footbridges over the locks. Second, the stairs in the cottage are steep and narrow. These things were fine for us, but might not suit everyone. Overall though, a great place to stay.

Beautiful cosy clean cottage on the iglis lock gorgeous peaceful location and views of the boats coming through the locks and view of the church spiral. beautiful front and back garden to sit in and make friends with the local ducks x All amnities available even umbrellas ect if needed which we did not. Gorgeous walks outside the doorstep you have choices of walking along the river or the canal or past the weir and wooded path. Only 20 mins walk in to the city centre of beautiful Worcester. Lots of nature around. Linda and Noel are lovely hosts. We have stayed twice you really do feel cosy at home. Comfortable beds and cosy room to watch TV with log fire if needed in the winter also dinning room plenty of garden furniture to sit outside. Perfect we love it here and will definitely go back. Highly reccomend. Only downfall is when your vacation is up and you have to leave here Thank you Linda and Noel x

Nice property, clean with all necessary amenities. Pictures are a true representation of the house. Would have been advisable to state that the property is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues due to the stairs. Also the view from the house was of an industrial park (but no big deal) With those points in mind overall the property and its location was good.

The cottage is cosy and comfortable and has everything you'd need for a a good break. We spent our break sitting in the garden watching the boats come and go. Very relaxing. It's just a 20 minute walk along the river into the centre of Worcester which has a large range of cafes and restaurants. We had a lovely stay here .

We had a lovely few days at this cottage on the locks. A short walk into Worcester and many other walks around. Beautiful scenery and lovely hosts with excellent communication. Would definitely return.

What a beautiful property! Linda and Noel have thought of everything, from the eggs, sausage, milk and bread to spare toothpaste and toiletries. Really could not fault it. Beautiful cottage in a nice quiet area which was just what we needed after a family camping festival for 5 days.

Helps when the weather is 30c! The location is ideal, walking distance to pub and town centre. Cottage lovely especially being able to chill outside. Those interested in cycling great rides out to Malvern hills and Uni swimming lake. Communication with owners very easy. Strongly recommend a stay Many thanks Linda and Noel.

We had a wonderful one night stay at Diglis Lock cottage. Beautiful spot by the lock. Comfy beds and lots of special touches - including breakfast - left by the hosts.

Really nice cottage in an unique location, well appointed with all mod cons, very comfortable beds and had absolutely everything we needed. Supplied breakfast pack was a really nice bonus. Great location for access to city centre by foot and also benefits from having garden space with seating in both front and rear of property. Would defo rebook in a heartbeat

Terrific stay. Excellent location between River Severn and The Worcester- Birmingham canal and a short walk to Worcester city centre one way and out by The River into the countryside the other way. Thoroughly enjoyed day trip out to Malvern Hills 25 mins away. We hiked to Worcester beacon and were astounded by the brilliant paragliders!

We loved our stay at this cottage! It was so cosy and homely and really felt like a home away from home. The house was warm, the rooms were all a good size and the views from the windows of the Cathedral were beautiful. The location was just magical and our children loved being on the island and chasing ducks around. Getting over to the island was fine too, you do have to cross two locks but they have nice wide bridges; we were able to get our pram over them fine. If you're bringing young children you might want to keep them in the (lovely) back garden though where they can't get in to trouble as there are a few areas without barriers where they could fall in to the river! We loved exploring Worcester, especially around Diglis Docks, the riverfront, and Cripplegate Park. Linda was a very responsive, flexible and co-operative host. We were all sad to leave and the kids are already asking when we can go back again!
