We rented this house for a family beach week and fit 16 people comfortably, and we were all very pleased with the cleanliness of the house and responsiveness of the property manager when I had questions upon arrival!

This house is better than is shown in the photos. The great room on the third floor is very spacious and lets in a lot of light. There are tons of conveniences and the kitchen is well stocked. Huge driveway for lots of cars. There is a great beach/toy room with sand toys, boogie boards, chairs, etc so you can lighten your packing load. 10 minutes to beach access is accurate and the access point is much less crowded than the ones to the left and right, which was great.
I'll give big credit to Shoreline OBX and the homeowners. Without getting too much detail, we had a major house issue on Tuesday (not the owners fault, just a faulty appliance). The first maintenance worker was on site in 10 minutes, a plumber was dispatched within 18 hours, and when the fix couldn't happen right away, the homeowners replaced the entire unit the next day at great expense. This showed excellent customer service and saved the back half of our vacation. Not all rental companies would have done this.
The only downsides I would note are that the pool is a bit small, and the hot tub is far from the house out on the pool deck (a consideration if you have small kids and are considering evening hot tub time). Neither subtracted greatly from our stay.
Don't hesitate to book Shore to Please.

The house was the perfect size for our nine. We loved the layout and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen table was the perfect size for dinners and game nights. The breakfast nook was the perfect setup for playing canasta. Location was great for driving on the beach and stocking up at the grocery store. Would highly recommend!

The house is georgeous! We enjoyed our stay very much! The house was clean, beds were comfortable. The only complaint we had was the TV service. It was The Hopper on Dish which would just turn off on its own or the screen would freeze. Other than that everything was excellent and hope to return next year.

Our family had a wonderful time! Instructions for check in/out were very clear and went smoothly, and the property was very well equipped. The only reason it did not get 5 stars is because we had an issue with the pool; the filter was not working, which means we spent way too much time having to constantly clean it, without much luck. We were told that the previous renters damaged the filter, which seems to indicate they were aware of the issue, yet did not resolve it prior to our arrival. Although the property management were very responsive, the pool company seemed limited on what they could do at the time and as a result, the pool was not clean during our stay. In addition, although the floor plans indicate so, there is no hot tub on the third level deck outside the bedroom, only one in the pool area. That being said, you shouldn't deter this from renting this awesome property, just make sure this issue has been resolved.

Our extended family likes to gather all in one big house. Many rentals miss some important things like having enough plates and silverware. None have ever gotten seating right for meals. This house had all of that! We were all able to sit together for Thanksgiving! There were other thoughtful amenities like beach toys, chairs, etc. Everything was in good working order. There was enough parking for all of our cars.

The house was large and was good for a big group of people but nothing fancy. A few things about the listing. The 3rd floor "suite" is not a suite. It's a bedroom with a door to the only common bathroom in the entire house. The hot tub is shown as being on the 3rd floor deck right outside the door. It's not. It's on the far side of the pool as far away from the house as possible. Hot Tub lost temp while we were there and maintenance did not come until after we checked out. Overall not bad but not as listed either.

Living, dining and kitchen area on top floor, washer dryer on bottom floor, tons of stairs. Other than the dryer taking 3 cycles to dry, it was a nice first beach experience. Definitely looking for someplace else for next year though. Nice pool and everything was clean. Nice bedrooms with bathrooms in each. It just didn’t fit our family. Easy walk to beach and shopping.

This was our first time in OBX and the house was great. Conveniently located close to shops & restaurants, short walk to the beach, and only a few minutes to the drive on beach. House had all the amenities we needed. Only suggestion I can make is to maybe have the pool vacuumed/clean more frequently, lots of sand in it.

Overall really enjoyed our stay. Only complaint is the lack of materials provided by the leasing company - no toliet paper, paper towels, salt/pepper, etc. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had all the tools we needed. Walk to the beach is easy with the boardwalk path, takes less than 10 minutes. Really enjoyed our vacation and felt very comfortable in this home.

Family reunion
The place was great for a family. The issue we had was we specifically asked if there is any baby stuff/dishes/beach stuff. We were told to bring everything and rent. Well they had a crib, pack and play high chairs and more dishwear that you could possibly need as well as all the beach stuff you could want. So we didn’t need to travel pack the cars to bring everything. We also had a waisted day because they had to come and send someone to install new internet and tv.
The house is great for a family just wish they told us they had stuff so we didn’t waisted money renting and packing cars up

Not clean and no WiFi
My family and I were sadly really disappointed about our stay. The home itself is nice and you can tell the owner has put effort into the place. However, it was one issue after another and we would not stay here again.
1. We found a USED condom and wrapper in the room where the young kids were staying. The cleaning company sent a representative to make sure the house was clean. I had to walk them through the whole house. They then found ANOTHER used condom in the same room. A third condom was found still in its wrapper (thankfully) in the other kids room. The cleaning representative also collected various trash out of the house.
2. The WiFi was out the whole week. We called multiple times and nothing was done about it. My two family members had to leave the trip early because they had to get work done and needed WiFi. I had to leave to access WiFi at a local shop for work.
3. We found blood all over one of the pillows in one of the master bedrooms. It looked like someone had a bad nose bleed.
4. There were not enough pillow cases for the pillows (overall not too big of a deal, but if you rent here pack your own).
5. There were dirty dishes as well as trash throughout the house.
6. We had to have a maintenance team come spend about 8-9 hours come fix the top deck where the hot tub was and couldn’t use it for part of our stay.
7. The previous tenants left all of their clothes in one of the closets so they had to send someone to pick it all up.
8. Found a cockroach
Overall it was a stressful stay and we were really frustrated.

This home gave us so many invaluable memories! Especially love the spacious top floor. We could be doing a puzzle while others cooked and the kids watch tv to unwind agfter the beach or pool. It was awesome!

We beat the crowds getting onto the island so the traffic wasn't bad at all. We would stay here again.

Renewed Love of Corolla
We enjoyed our stay at Corolla, NC. It had been 9 years since we had visited. The house was wonderful and fully equipped. The beach. pool, and amenities within the house were great. We stayed as a family and it was a wonderful change of scenery.

Good Bones with respect to the home. Layout good for large parties. Overall the home needs updating or refreshing. Pool area furniture tired, some items broken. Table in pool area not conducive for sitting around. Grass was shin high not good for volleyball. Weeds in pool deck and grill area. Furniture for deck areas needs updating. Relatively close to beach. Tough staircase at beach entrance. “Mackerel”. Inventory the shed and post as accessories online. Lastly. Include the VRBO fee in contract docs. That doc was used to distribute costs vs. the list of fees in App.

Great place for multiple families
We had a great time at Whalehead Beach. We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of beach and pool gear that was available for us to use. There were also plenty of kitchen supplies.
The walk to the beach was not as far as we thought it was going to be and the proximity to grocery stores and shopping was very convenient.
I do think there was some miscommunication between a discount we were supposed to receive on the property but when I called to question it, the realty company responded quickly and gave me a couple of options to resolve it.
For the most part, most of the house was clean but there was a soda bottle under one of the beds and a large dead bug in another room that looked like it had been there for a while.
Overall, I had a great time and we would possibly rent this property again.

Not as expected
Upon arrival after a very long drive, we walked into a dirty house. There were crumbs/food all over the dining/kitchen tables, floors and counters. The microwave and kitchen cabinets had food splattered all over. There was hair all over each floor, especially the bathroom floors and stairs - no way the place was vacuumed. Toothpaste still on the bathroom faucets. I had to wash the blankets prior to putting on the beds as they had hair on them, they obviously are not washed after each visit. My husband and I took 2 hours just to clean the living area so we could unpack our basic items. I contacted the management company with my complaints and they did send someone out the next day, but the damage was already done. I wasted my time to clean a vacation rental that I paid for and then had to waste most of the next day waiting for the cleaning company to arrive to clean the rest of the house. Overall the property needs a good cleaning, both inside and out. The management company was very friendly and apologized for the inconvenience - bottom line they need to consider a new cleaning company.
The property is in a nice location with a short walk to the beach, was fully stocked with all kitchen items you would need, plenty of room and pet friendly, which is a plus. Just don't try to play a game of pool as balls are missing. And of course Hurricane Dorian ended our trip early which was icing on the cake for this trip.

Nice Trip
We had 14 of us for this trip. Plenty of enough space for everyone. The best part was every room had their on bathroom. House is big with a great layout. Closet for outside has an abundant amount of beach/pool gear,bikes, toys. Some small things were wrong but not enough to call and complain. I would say they need to move the pool table in the basement, do some landscaping for volleyball considering in was under the bushes and the volleyball court needs work as it is hard grass with A LOT of spiked balls from the bushes and the hot tub had a mind of its own wether or not it wanted to work. Overall though, a great trip in a really good house that has awesome location. 8-10 min walk to the beach with 6-8 mins on the boardwalk to the beach. Would definitely stay here again but would just ask for those things to be updated. All in all def 4/5 stars!!
