We had 4 couples stay for 5 nights. The layout worked perfectly. Ski-in/out was wonderful and easy. The house had all the necessities we needed.

Really enjoyed our stay. Backyard is a steep hill, a bit different than expected from photo, and the back porch is pretty hot until the sun goes down and doesn't have a view of the beautiful surroundings, but in general we really enjoyed the property.

Beautiful cabin
This property had exactly what we needed for a wonderful family vacation. We would definitely come back again.

Great Views Nice Cabin
The views in Big Sky are amazing, the cabin is nice and taken care of. Everything is not brand new and that's ok as you'll probably either be skiing or sight seeing.
4.7
Nice property, everything was clean. We were frustrated that the media was very outdated. We were not able to stream movies. A common, inexpensive device would have solved the problem. Also, the Kitchen faucet was broken and there were no towels.

Beautiful Home
This is a beautiful home. Very well stocked. We had a great time. Ski out very easy, ski in just slightly confusing, watch signs carefully.

Coming from a family who has vacationed in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Japan, and other places out of our country, we were thrilled with Big Sky. We had never been to Montana before and had been wanting to tour the national parks with our kids for the past few years. We booked this house months ago and it was perfect for the 4 adults, 2 teens and 4 kids that we had in our group. We spent 4 days here and hated to leave. Some of the summer activities that we enjoyed were several hikes, zip lining at Big Sky Resort (just down the hill), white water rafting on the Gallatin River and 4th of July festivities. Each day was spent outside with nearly perfect weather. We loved coming "home" to soak in the hot tub (evenings got cooler) and relax around the fire pit. All of the amenities were great in the house. We found it to be clean and comfortable. The dishwasher doesn't work so great and the stove is dated but there were plenty of dishes, pots, pans and even a pancake griddle. I wish we would have found the alarm clocks in the bedrooms before leaving but they were tucked away in a cupboard. No biggie. It was nice that the family room had several blankets strewn about. I loved taking a rocking chair out on the front porch each morning with a blanket and my coffee. So peaceful! We had 2 foxes visit us, a couple of deer but the highlight was a mama moose and her baby!! They literally walked right out in front of us! We kept our distance but they were magnificent! Overall we easily give this VRBO 5 stars! And coming in the summer cost a fraction of what this house would have cost at peak ski season! This summer loving girl was happy!! :)

We loved this cabin in BiG Sky, but we probably wouldn't return. We had 4 couples, 8 people total and it was a little cramped. The photos made it seem a little bigger. The ski out was great, straight down the road to a lift. However, getting back was a challenge, it was about 30 minutes of Cat Walk to get back and then you have to hike up the hill to get to the house. The hot tub was nice but our grill did not work and we had to cook all of our burgers and dogs on the stove.
Overall it was a nice house, but we would prefer something different next time.

Great place!
This place was perfect for my extended family get together. The ski-in/out was a little tough because of all of the fresh snow and flat ground, but definitely a good problem to have. A word of warning, the driveway on this unit is really steep, so you need a 4wd vehicle just to get up and down.

We had a group of 6 adults and 6 kids.... the house functioned great for our group. Music system set up to play on house speakers inside and out through your phone (unfortunately, not the iPhone 5, but luckily one of us had a 4) We had a box of games delivered for the kids, which was great. The hot tub and the grill was a nice bonus. Kitchen was the only down side... electric stove top and inadequate pots and pans. Although the electric griddle was a nice surprise for pancakes and french toast! We used Hungry Moose food delivery service, and I cannot recommend them enough! Amazing service... direct from owner. Ski out was great... ski in a bit challenging with young kids, but we got the hang of it by end of week... got the kids poles for the flat sections then it was a breeze. Would totally recommend this property management group.... they were fantastic to work with.

big sky powder ridge chief gull cabin 3
Very helpful staff to help with directions and getting settled into cabin. Cabin was beautiful with tasteful decorations and well stocked kitchen. Used the propane grill and hot tub several times. Ski out is from the back yard down to the white otter lift very easy access. Returning home skied right to front door. In house washer and dryer for mid week laundry. Had a great time.

powder ridge review
Enjoyed our visit. Biggest attraction is the property is professionally managed and not owner manged . The property managers are prompt, professional and responsive. So no having to deal with cranky unreasonable owners who generally have no clue about property management issues.

A nice big house in a good location
It is a very spacious house located in the Big Sky by the Lone Mountain close to Yellowstone National Park. The house is big enough for 10-12 people comfortable, good facilities and everything is updated. Very clean.

Let me just say what a wonderful property- wonderful people- wonderful time. An incredible birthday week. We had three boys ranging in ages 6-11 and the mountain offered so much for them to do. They fished, hiked, did cross bow, zipline - you name it. Kristin, Mike and Kris were wonderful with every detail of the property and the activities. Our personal chef Robin prepared amazing dinners and a birthday cake!!! And of course Kevin was absolutely amazing, taking our boys on all kinds of adventures. Thank you SO MUCH for an incredible vacation!!!!!!

chief gull cabins
cabins were in excellent condition with all the items needed for a short or an extended stay. cabins were clean and the kitchens were equipped with enough utensils and cookware. a couple of my daughters mentioned that some of the towels had a musty smell to them so I would check that out. we did the zip line and took the chair lift up and all were fun and priced appropriately. we ate pizza at the blue moon bakery and it was outstanding. the springrolls at the lotus pad were excellent. we also had lunch at the lone peak brewery and it was very good as well. overall it was a hit with everyone and it was a 10 . thank you!

Our experience with the property was fabulous. We had a wonderful time..The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. The cabin was very nicely furnished and decorated, and well stocked with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone headed that direction.

LOVED this ski-in/ski-out home! Best in the neighborhood--BY FAR!
We stayed here a week with a group of 11 people--and had an amazing time. Even with that many poeple, the way this home is arranged, it felt completely comfortable and relaxing! Clearly the owners take pride in this home as it doesn't feel like a 'rental' at all---rather it felt to us like we were enjoying a second home.
It is truly a ski-in/ski-out property--which made getting to the lifts quickly in the mrng to be the first to catch the fresh pow--or coming home for a quick bite of lunch--both easy and enjoyable.
The decor is up-to-date in every room---a true ski cabin feel! The hot tub and wood-burning fireplaces were a bonus!
Also, we were delighted to find that THIS UNIT HAS A LARGE BOOT AND GLOVE DRYER(!!!) which most units do not. As anyone who has skied can attest--waking up to warm, dry boots and gloves (as opposed to wet/soggy ones) is a small, but significant thing when you're trying to relax and enjoy your vacation!! :)
We had an AMAZING time, and would love to stay here again.
Our communication/coordination with the management company was excellent--seemless!--and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
Picture this: after a long day of incredible skiing/boarding you come home to a fire burning in the fireplace..then a cocktail in hand enjoying the hot tub...and know you're staying in a place where you will wake up tmrw to gorgeous mountian views, pop your (warm/dry!) boots on, and in less then five mins you're on the lift making more priceless memories with friends and family!! No hassling with driving/parking...no frustrations with coordinating multiple peoples' schedules...Each person in your groupa can just come and go as they please--and everyone can enjoy all that Big Sky has to offer at their own pace.
A rare find among rentals! We LOVED this place!!

Big Sky Ski Trip
We found this cabin to be just as advertised; an immaculate home with great attention to detail. Best of all it's managed by an outstanding company, Big Sky Vacation Rentals. I've stayed in two cabins managed by this company and they seem to think of everything. Our trip was perfect thanks to their outstanding recommendations and resources!

Family Vacation
I wanted to bring my family out to Big Sky for their first time skiing in the mountains, so I checked out VRBO. I was amazed at how easy it was to find somewhere to stay and how accurate the descriptions and pictures were! We chose this PowderRidge cabin and it was absolutely AMAZING! The cabin was immaculate (inside and out) and had absolutely everything we needed to stay for the week. The view was fantastic-and I was in awe every morning to see the beautiful, breathtaking mountains right outside my bedroom window. The kitchen contained all the utensils we needed to prepare all of our meals, and the washer and dryer, attached garage and boot dryers were definitely a fantastic plus. We were able to just walk down the driveway and put on our skis to ski down to the lift to get over to the base of the mountain if we wanted to, but we were also less than a 5 minute drive away over to the resort where there was plenty of free parking available. (This was easier for those who were just learning to ski.) The day we checked in, Kris met us at the cabin to show us everything we needed to know, and the rest of the time we just enjoyed ourselves. After skiing all day, the hot tub was such a luxury to enjoy and I can't even think of anything more we could have needed. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay and I am definitely planning another trip to stay there again next year!!

Ideal western style ski cabin
Well- maintained, ideally located cabin, just perfect for our group of eight, 2 families with adult children. Kristen and her team could not have done more to make our stay just right. We adored our experience at Big Sky and cannot wait to return!

Exceptional Big Sky Rental!
We had a wonderful stay here. We were a group of six. Main level open floor plan is ideal for large groups gathering with kitchen open to dining/living room. Furnishings are both beautiful and comfortable. Privacy between upper master suites. Hot tub is in a convenient location, offering open views of the night sky. Management company is well-organized and provides a concierge level service.

Winter Review from Skier's
This is an excellent get away property for those looking for ski in and out accessibility. Easy to trail to the lift and easy trail down from the slopes to the back patio. Like previous reviews, the pictures do not do this place justice. We loved the place for it's cleanliness, up to date decor, amenities (like surround sound, ipod compatibility, hot tub, wood burning place - stocked with wood, direct tv, etc.), and really the service from the property manager! I'm actually a little hesitant about writing this review, as like Big Sky, the less people know about it the better!
