They say in real estate that location is everything, and for the money this place is the best we have seen.

The apartment was great. Plenty of room for everyone and great space to have meals. Very close to metro and major sights. We had a great time.

I had rented another apartment for four adults in Paris months ago for a work week with some colleagues. Three days into our stay at the other place, there was a gas leak and I had to find accommodations within an hour. Mickael was so responsive and helpful. We will definitely keep this apartment on our list of future places to stay in Paris. Wonderful restaurants and shops all in walking distance.

Everything went as planned! Great location, great apartment (there were a few small issues but nothing that affected our stay negatively), and great communication with the host. Highly recommended!

After another VRBO host refused to honor our fully-paid rental 12 days before the rental was to begin, we found this apartment with Mickael as the host. Mickael was the perfect host, even purchasing wheelchair ramps for us to go up and down three steps leading to the building elevator. The apartment is in an ideal location a block from Place Victor Hugo, easy walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe. It is also very safe at night, in an area with many embassies. A bakery/patisserie and a pharmacy are adjacent, and a grocery store is a block away. There are several good French restaurants and a taxi stand in Place Victor Hugo. The apartment is spacious, easily accommodating up to 8 adults and children, with games and toys for both. With a dishwasher, washer and dryer, stove and oven, and coffeemaker, it has all the comforts of home. Windows and balconies provide views of 2 streets since it is on a corner. Paolo provided daily cleaning on weekdays, and he and Mickael answered all our questions. This turned out to be the ideal rental for our three weeks in Paris with family and friends.

This property is located in the 16th, close to the metro & restaurants. It’s air conditioned except for one of the bedrooms across the hall from the master bedroom. There’s a washer & dryer in unit. Now the negatives. The listing is inaccurate & photos are old. The first thing we were forced to do after arriving & an exhausting international flight was twofold: getting in touch with the host to cancel our booking while the other of us started cleaning as we didn’t want our young children to have to stay/sleep in such a place. Why? Because the apartment was filthy upon check-in, despite the listing stating otherwise about cleaning methods used. The reality is that this is more a marketing ploy to falsely reassure prospective guests than an actuality. The apartment is in a sad state of disrepair, with extremely worn, very scratched & gouged wood floors that have not been maintained. One of the couches is faux leather that’s peeling terribly. The dining room table is actually a large panel of glass placed on top of a cigarette-stained, filthy, pool table. The chairs were flimsy outdoor chairs that likely won’t withstand much more use. There was hair and crumbs trapped between the glass covering the pool table & the pool table. It was revolting to eat at a “table” that clearly wasn’t ever properly cleaned. The beds looked slept in and messy. Throughout there was extensive water damage, crumbling walls, black mold & flooring that was lifting in areas and/or had small chunks of wood missing. The kids’ room had loose shelving right over the kids’ beds. Due to water damage & mold, the apartment had a funky mildew smell. Even the doors were dirty. The host also kept 90% of all the closets chained & secured with locks so we could not even unpack during our stay since his belongings were stored there. I cannot fathom how this place got favorable reviews by previous guests. I will also not use the VRBO platform to book stays for my family in the future. Calling them for help was a 3 day futile exercise at the end of which, they said the owner would have to agree to refund us. All he offered was €1,000, which I have yet to receive despite my follow-up. In sum, the owner just cares about how much he can make, not his guests or their experience & once you’ve paid, you’re stuck staying given how VRBO works & that you’re at the mercy of the host for a refund. Stay elsewhere in beautiful Paris, not here.

Wonderful and classic Parisian apartment in one of my favorite Paris locations. Victor Hugo is not a touristy area, very locals focused, but easy for Americans to navigate with all requirements; Pharmacie, monoprix, Starbucks, etc. one of the best pubs in Paris, ‘honest lawyer’ is around the corner.
The apartment is quite large for Paris with classic elements paired w modern amenities/ luxurious touches. The bathtub in the apartment was particularly wonderful to soak in and I found the bed to be very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location in quaint neighborhood and quality service
Neighborhood was both quaint and well located. A short walk to Avenue Victor Hugo shopping area and Arc de Triomphe. Exterior of building was beautiful; however, interior was a bit tired. Apartment was spacious with ample light and great neighborhood view. Two of the three bedrooms were well appointed with small buy nice bathrooms, while the third was very small (good for children). Water pressure and temperature were both good. Overall, decor could be updated and apartment could use a new coat of paint, but in usable condition. Cleaning lady was very nice and did a great job keeping the place, towels, and sheets clean. Would recommend it on a cost/person basis as compared to paying a premium for a 4 star hotel, especially, if you plan to spend a majority of your time enjoying all that Paris has to offer, which is likely the case.

As a family of 4 the setup and layout was great. Place is super clean, well maintained and has all the modern conveniences. AC and good windows made for really nice comfy nights. High end separate washer and dryer is a top luxury in Paris! Daily clean up from Donna was a huge plus, nothing like coming home after a long day and finding everything squeaky clean and organized!
Having lived in Paris I was nervous about the 16th district being a bit too sleepy but this particular location was great. A perfect mix of kid parks, friendly restaurants, convenience stores and nearby cafes open til 2am. And to be honest, being a bit further away from the more touristy places was such a relief.
Mickael is a very friendly and engaged host, always open to suggestions on how to make it even better. Not sure when we’ll be back but definitely hope to stay there again!!
