Nice private location. Attentive and accommodating owner was very easy to work with. He reached out with information about weather conditions with approaching hurricane and offered to adjust our dates because we were the last to use the rental for the season. Met very nice neighbors. Could hear the loons from the cabin! Everything needed for a good stay was there including clear instructions. We've been visiting the area for over 30 years and have always enjoyed our time at Moosehead Lake. This year was no exception. Thank you!

Very clean but a little hard to find

Neighborhood was great. Quiet. Could take a short walk or drive down road to lake and sit on benches. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We did not stay much inside. We liked the enclosed front porch. The bed was comfortable, but watch your toes on bed frame. The showers were great. The kitchen was nice with being open to dining. We didn’t use living room, too much beauty around area.
The area to the west of Moosehead Lake is beautiful driving to Rockland, Jackman and Canada. If looking for Moose drive an hour before sunset cautiously. Also suggest if you drive the east side of Moosehead Lake take paper maps or offline GPS map. The roads are logging roads and there is no signal for maps.
Eat at Kelly’s Landing. Great seafood chowder crab cakes and stuffed haddock.
Eat at the pizza shop in town to go. Take sandwich on road trips. They have great breakfast sandwiches too.

Really enjoyed the cabin. Saw hummingbirds, turkeys, and many of birds from the screened in porch. Cabin is close enough to the water with a community dock area so we were able to kayak each day. Cabin was very clean and well stocked for a relaxing stay.

Fully equipped, comfortable, loved the screened in porch and rockers. Easy access to dock on the lake. Short distance to Greenville. Very enjoyable stay.

It was a nice cabin. Exactly what I envisioned.

The house was cozy and clean, not fancy. Kitchen was well equipped; bed was comfortable. Yard had a nice view of a mountain; about 1/4 mile walk to Moosehead Lake with a nice dock and small beach for swimming, fishing, and kayak launch. We enjoyed watching birds at the feeders just outside the screened porch. Saw wild turkeys and deer in the yard. Communications with the owners was quick, friendly and helpful. Moosehead Lake and nearby ponds (especially Prong Pond) are great for kayaking. Greenville is a pleasant little town; great crepes at a food truck outside a lovely little gallery and frappes at the drugstore soda fountain.

Vacation
This cabin was a nice place to stay. It was very quiet and secluded. Beautiful views of the mountains and within walking distance to the community beach. The house had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well appointed where we cooked our meals. The home owners were great and very responsive to questions that I had! Very close and convenient to town. I was a little disappointed we could not use the balcony of the house to enjoy more of the mountain views, but totally understand the home owners concerns. Another issue was the house needed a little more cleaning. We had to sweep the floors when we arrived due to gravel and also found an empty ice cream container under the one recliner. The furniture in the family room also needed dusting. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would rent the cabin again!!! Thanks for a great vacation!

Clean Home Away from Home
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip & stay to Greenville, Maine. This cabin was a welcomed retreat. It was clean, & smelled of cedar upon entering. The bed was super comfy, the kitchen had anything you could possibly need (including a cheese grater) & the screened in porch was a great place to enjoy bird watching while playing a couple games. This area has some of the friendliest people we’ve ever encountered. Originally a was a bucket list destination, but now one that we hope to return to.

Mid-winter getaway
This was our first time in the Moosehead Lake region of Maine and we loved it! We were very happy with the camp. It was welcoming, warm and had all of the things we could need. It truly felt like home. We would have liked some outdoor space to sit and enjoy the night sky, but considering there was about 4+ feet of snow on the ground and very cold, we decided to stay inside near the warmth of the pellet stove.
Thank you for sharing this little part of heaven with us. We hope to see moose next time we are in the area and would love to stay in your camp at another time of year.

Location is everything!
This property had a wonderful location, quick access to the lake and the local snowmobile trails. Easy access to Greenville and Greenville junction by car or snowmobile, while also being tucked away and quiet. The house is cozy and has everything you need to enjoy a stay. We loved watching the many birds that came to the house, the gorgeous mountains and sunsets. We enjoyed fishing and snowmobiling. We were lucky to find the house and hope to be back soon.

Super cozy camp on private lot.
We loved staying at this camp. It is close to everything, but in the woods. The owners have gone through a lot of work to make the place an excellent get away.

Needs A Cleanup
While we enjoyed our stay in Moosehead, improvements could be made to the general appearance and maintenance of this property. The outside of the cabin is littered with overturned objects(chairs, old trailers, partially covered 4x4's. The fire pit did not look like it had been attended to in years. The grill was rusty and dirty. There were insufficient cleaning products for doing the dishes and an insufficient number of drinking glasses. The nearby neighbors are rednecks and fired off several rounds of firearms when we were there. I would not stay in this rental again.

Great time
We were a short walk from the lake. Friendly neighbors chatted with us. We enjoyed walks at Lily Bay State Park and Moxie Falls. We had 2 deer come up to the car at the state park, it was an awesome experience. The house was nice and cozy. Everything we needed was there. Bob and Deb were awesome at communicating and making sure we were good.

Clean, quiet and comfortable camp
The camp is set back off the road a bit, making it super private. No curtains needed! It has a separate living room with a pellet stove which makes it super cozy - Comfortable leather chairs and couch to chill out on, whether watching tv, surfing the web on the WiFi or reading a book. The mountain views from the main bedroom are breathtaking. There is no dishwasher or washer/dryer, but not an issue at all! We lost power briefly while we were there and the owner was very responsive. We were in town for snowmobiling and we could leave right from camp, drive down the road and out onto Moosehead Lake. We will definitely return next winter!

Perfect Getaway
The cabin is rustic with some upgrades. It is comfortable and clean. The location is very private but close to everything. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our week. From the porch you can watch the hummingbirds and goldfinches put on a show. We spotted a mother turkey with her poults while walking down to the water. The sunsets are beautiful in the evening at the lake. We brought our kayaks and enjoyed kayaking around the different islands. I would recommend staying here.

What an enjoyable visit. We kept quite busy. Lots of great scenery.
This property had plenty of room, very well kept. Lots of views with bird feeders they had and saw s number of humming birds and different other types along with chipmunks. The Kyiak that is furnished is awesome for two. There are plenty of places in town to visit and eat at. The only downfall was the tv was over complicated with operation directions but at 60 we are not that computer savvy so was unable to watch it. Set up for both heat and cold. Would stay there again without hesitation.

Relaxing Place
The rental is well maintained. It was clean and the owners are receptive to any questions or problems that occur.
My family loved the location and the tranquility of surrounding environment.
The flies were bad this year and the screened in porch is a wonderful feature.

Beautiful property
The property was just as described. So beautiful and private. My husband and I are planning a trip back next year and bringing our grandchildren. We will be staying longer this time. The owners were easy to communicate with and rapid response. I would highly recommend this property and as a matter of fact I already have to my aunt.

Memorable Stay
The property was nice for a rustic cabin. Cleanliness gets one less star because cooked food was left in the microwave. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay.

Peace and quiet
What a great place! Admittedly not much to look at from the outside (which is, in a way, a good thing in its humbleness) but inside it’s fabulous, very cozy, comfortable, and (best of all) quiet. Its location, down a short dirt driveway, makes it the nicest real estate on the road...tucked away and tranquil. Close enough to walk to the lake, but far enough away to remain peaceful. We enjoyed the screened porch during the day, and the rustic TV room at night. The beds were very comfortable. And Bob and Deb were terrific hosts! It’s always with mixed feelings that I write a glowing review of a HomeAway or Airbnb place...because it might make it more difficult to book the next time...but we so look forward to the next time!

Great camp would stay again
Our group headed up for a weekend of snowmobiling and had a great time. The camp was as advertised and offered great accommodations. Loved having the extra bathroom. It was clean and well equipped. Nice and quiet spot, easy access to lake on snowmobile and close to town. Deb and Bob were vary responsive and made sure to check in with us. Would highly recommend.
