The property offers a wonderful retreat with stunning views, spacious rooms, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable deck, and enjoyable outdoor activities like kayaking. Perfect for families and relaxation.

Beautiful home that's privately situated at the end of the road on the lake. There are paddle boards and kayaks to enjoy the lake with and games and plenty of movie options to just relax if it's too rainy out. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook or bbq. The home is large and open with a nice double-sided gas fireplace to chase the chill of rain away. The hot tub is perfectly situated to enjoy a view of the lake, yet under cover to enjoy in any kind of weather. We were greated by otters in the lake and deer in the small field on our arrival. We chose to do a lot of hiking and we were happy to find plenty of trails close by. The trail of 1,000 waterfalls was our favorite. We would definitely stay here again!

This was out 2nd stay at this property. It couldn't be more welcoming, like staying in a beautiful home. There are so many comfortable places to relax and enjoy the majesty of the mountains surrounded by woods and on the lake. The new deck really enhances the look. This time we rented all the additional apartments, they didn't disappoint. Our whole family enjoyed the hot tub & air hockey table. Our 2 dogs loved to just run & romp. We loved the fire pit, made smores and loved the use of the kayak and paddle boards. Cleo is easy to work with. My family cherished our family gathering there.

Only 2 people were able to participate but we had such a relaxing fun time. Visiting the largest spruce tree and eating pizza at Dino’s to walking the property reading books, playing air hockey to one night in the hot tub. Owner responded in a great manner when I had questions

If I were to design a vacation home, I would design it just like this. We had such a wonderful time at this lakeside getaway. From the gorgeous views, spacious rooms, kitchen that even included condiments, laundry room, comfortable deck, hot tub, grill, fire-pit and multiple places for the family to hang out. We even got out on our paddleboards and would have tried the kayaks if we had stayed an extra day. We weren't there with young kids, but games and books were provided for families with kids, and we will definitely consider returning as grandchildren start to expand our family. And I haven't even mentioned the proximity to Olympic National Park.. we saw waterfalls and beaches and enjoyed exploring the area. Cleo and Gabe were very responsive when I had a question. I highly recommend this lakeside property!

The house was lovely with two living rooms a nice dining room and big kitchen and a great sunroom. Great access to the beach also. The beds were very comfortable and the place was very clean. To top it off there is a family of otters in the cove (a mom and two juveniles) next to the house, some loons with their beautiful, sounds, Bald eagle, stellar jays, pileated woodpecker’s, black, capped chickadee’s, tons of swifts, juvenile buck and doe eating the blackberries every day and merganser ducks that I have never seen before and are out of this world. In the evening from the upper deck, we watched the full moon rise and shine over the lake. Also saw a rainbow and totally enjoyed the mist over the mountains. We would definitely stay there again.

This property was far better than the pictures showed. It was clean, easy to access and way bigger than it appeared online. There are so many comfortable places to relax and enjoy with gorgeous views of the lake and surrounded by the Olympic National Forest. The huge yard was a great bonus for our two dogs to romp and play. The kayaks to enjoy the lake was another wonderful perk. It is so peaceful and private there. Our 13- & 11-year-old granddaughters had so much fun on the air hockey table, challenging everyone. We flew a kite, watched the deer come for a morning drink and heard the beavers at night while cooking s'mores, investigated and tried to get a picture of them but tripped and surprised them instead. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is so well stocked with dishes, utensils, every kitchen item you could need, plus plenty of towels for beach and house.
We will definitely book this wonderful home again. If you want to get a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this is an awesome place to relax and forget about your hectic life.

This was our second stay at this property and even more enjoyable than our first! Because of the first, my husband and I bought kayaks. Everyone had the best time. Hiked over by the lodge and ate berries that became a quest for all. Peaceful, restful, and best birthday!

We had a lovely weekend enjoying the magic of Lake Quinault. The home provides lots of sleeping options and the kitchen is very well stocked with a very nice stove and fridge. It was the lake outside that made the place outstanding. The big lawn where we could play lawn games, having our own access to swim and kayak was amazing. It felt like a family home not a pristine vacation rental. We really enjoyed it.

We had a fabulous time staying at this house. The location and access to fun outdoor activities in and around Olympic NP was perfect, and we also appreciated the amenities of the house. Kayaks, tons of extra towels and cozy blankets, fully stocked kitchen tools for cooking our own meals. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean and easy to find. The views and peacefulness of the house are unmatched. Loved our stay. 4 adults and 4 children 3, 5, 7, 9 years old.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home it was very tranquil I enjoyed walking around property. I will be coming back definitely every year to enjoy my coffee in the sunroom to watching and listening to the wildlife and to finishing the day with yoga infront of the gigantic window looking out at the lake. Thank you again for being so hospitable.

What an incredible set up for a few families getting together for the holidays. The weather worked out, mostly sunny and clear. The posse of children had lots of room to frolic. The two dogs went nuts running around the big area between the house and the lake. Would stay again. Hope to head out there next thanksgiving

Large home on the lake. Lots of space and still lots of chairs, couches, places to sit and talk. Wonderful vacation on the lake. Loved having Kayaks to use. Plenty of everything in the house from linens to kitchen staples.

House and setting were amazing. Great home base for exploring the area and just hanging out enjoying the house and property.

This is a lovely location with a big spacious house. We had a view of the lake the mountains beyond, and the sun and moon rising behind them. We loved walking at the Kessler Homestead. The main house was well stocked and ready for guests.
We also rented the two apartments above and below in the garage. We found both of these to be inadequate. The upstairs apartment had the smell of propane so strong no one could sleep up there and had to use the couches in the main house. The television and the fireplace did not work. The downstairs apartment was damp, musty, and the mattress on the bed was concave.
When we arrived there was a great deal of bat guano on the front staircase and also a dead bat. We hosed off the stairs and front porch. There was also bat guano on the outdoor furniture. We washed and disinfected the glass patio table, removing all the guano, but when we opened the umbrella, more Guano fell out and a bat flew out as well.

Great place to reunite with friends. Amazing views and close to trails. We had a great stay.

This is a wonderful property and we had a FABULOUS stay. The sweeping grass down to the lake was a wonderful play area for our English Springer Spaniel, who would fetch a ball 24/7 if she could find someone to throw it that long😄! The kitchen was well-appointed and spacious. The BBQ worked, but, perhaps needs to be replaced. GREAT stay!!

Extended family vacation
Even though our small extended family lives in the same town, we haven’t had a chance to get together since covid due to several high risk health conditions. This was finally our chance. This house was wonderful because it was so private. We all isolated before the trip to make sure we were germ free and when we arrived, we literally never saw anyone else our entire vacation except the family in our group.
We had 3 families total- one family with an 8 and 10 yr old, one family with a 1 and 4 yr old, and the grandparents came with 2 little dogs. We rented the main house for the grandparents and big kid family, and the apartment for the little kid family. Everyone was impressed with house much room there was for everyone. We could have easily fit more kids in if we had them.
The views were amazing. Every day we looked out at the lake and said “how did we ever get so lucky to stay at a place like this?”
I brought a variety of lanyard making supplies, thinking some kids would like to do a craft, but the adults ended up spending the whole time each making tons of lanyards (just like we did as kids at summer camp) as we relaxed sitting around on all the super comfy couches just chatting, or sitting around the campfire, or hanging out on the deck or at the beach.
And we all loved the private beach of course.
We are hoping we can go back again because 1 time just isn’t enough.

Wonderful spot for a vacation
This was the perfect location for a group getaway. Extremely spacious, the views were breathtaking and the hot tub was just the cherry on top. We had a great time and know we will definitely rent out the space again if we are in the area and it's available. Truly a great find!

Beautiful home and location. My bookclub group chose this home for our annual getaway. It was perfect for the 7 of us. Well stocked kitchen. Also great for families or a romantic weekend.

Such an amazing location!
This place was perfect for us to use as a home base for exploring the Olympic Peninsula. It was so comfortable and the surrounding environment was amazing. I loved seeing all the wildlife...beavers, deer, elk, eagles, cormorants, geese, mergansers. Don't forget your binoculars. Having access to the kayaks was so fun and peaceful. While the drive to he Hoh Rain Forest is long (about 90 min), it is totally worth it. We also went to Ruby beach (45 min drive) which at low tide had great rocks to climb on, flat stones to skip and many tide pools to explore. So many short hikes in the area...which was ideal for us since our kids complain if the hikes are too long. Dinner at the Quinault Lodge was so lovely.
The house was perfect for our family of 4...we enjoyed the hot tub which was clean. We also enjoyed the air hockey table (pics made me think it was in the garage apartment, but it was in the main house). I do want to echo an earlier review that mentioned that there were quite a few burnt out bulbs...but they were too high for us to address ourselves. The owners do caution folks on the level of cleanliness they provide...I found it acceptable for my level of comfort but there are some cobwebs on light fixtures and in high spaces and excessive dust in certain spaces...louvered doors, heat registers and fan vents.
We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.

Lake Quinault Lake House
We enjoyed our Christmas holiday week here. The area is beyond beautiful and the house is spacious and warm. My teens enjoyed the air hockey table, board games, and the large television in the home. We all enjoyed the amazing views during the day and relaxed in the jacuzzi and roasted marshmallows around the fire pit at night. We bought our groceries for the week in Aberdeen which is about 50 mins away but you can pick up a few groceries at the markets just off the 101 fwy by Dino’s restaurant. Dino’s has great pizza by the way. The only incident we had was a power outage on our last night there. It took a few hours for the power to come back on but fortunately we were already done with our activities for the day and had begun relaxing for the evening. The snow-fall we had during our stay was unexpected but gifted us with a beautiful White Christmas. This turned the area into a gorgeous winter wonderland. We can’t wait to come back in summer!

Beautiful getaway
We have been to this property twice because we like it here so much. It’s right next to a beautiful lake and had a bunch of stuff for my 1.5 year old In both toys and overall furniture. It’s not the cleanest, but it’s good enough. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Very secluded location
This is a very cool, secluded spot. Unfortunately for us, it poured the entire time we were there. The covered hot tub is a huge bonus in fall/winter. DirectTV was not hooked up when we got there and we had to figure that out (which we eventually were able to) and so many of the lights in the house were not working that it was pretty dark in some of the larger rooms. Those would be my two main complaints. The house is fully stocked and even labeled as to where things go. There are definitely aspects of the house that are in need of updating/repair, but nothing too glaring. There is a convenience store about 1.5-2 miles from the house, but if you need to to go to an actual grocery store, it takes the better part of an hour just to arrive and then another hour ride back. So, come prepared!

Rainforest Bliss
This was an ideal spot for us to stay. The location was perfect. Easy access to the Rainforest, and an easy drive to just about everywhere in the area. The house is beautiful. It is well appointed, and everything is in working order. The views are magnificent, and the lake offers the serenity we were looking for. Would absolutely stay here again if we get back to the area.

Top notch stay at the lake
Extremely well equipped kitchen was much appreciated. Lots of shared space for family to spend time together. Furnishings are homey and comfortable. You will not get the vibe that you have stumbled into an Ikea catalog by mistake. Very happy with our stay and recommend it highly
