This place has everything you need and the owner is very quick to respond. He was very helpful.
The area itself in Moose Pass is situated between Seward and Coopers Landing has so many activities to do. Flightseeing, hiking, fishing, etc. You could not K for a better hide away than this gem in Moose Pass.

I wish I could live here for the whole summer. It was very clean. Huge bed. Hot tub was great. There is a small gas grill on one of the decks. I used it almost every day. There is another deck up the spiral staircase where there are more beds. The heat worked great although I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. But that is fine with me.
You park your car in a car port so you can get in and out of the house without getting rained on (it rained a lot, but mostly just sprinkles).
The tiny town of Moose Pass is a 2 minute drive. There is a cool restaurant and bar at the Lodge there. Great buffalo wings and cold beer. Friendly folks. There is a cash only convenience store across the street from there. And a fudge store down the street. They also do flightseeing tours on float planes on the lake next to the Lodge. Also kayaking.
You can hear the planes when they fly... sometimes right over the house. And you can hear the train in the distance when it passes by. I liked both of these little experiences.
Moose Pass is an excellent central spot to rent a house. It is near Seward. Near the Sterling Highway which takes you to Cooper Landing, the whole Kenai peninsula area along the river, Soldotna, the town of Kenai and eventually Homer. It is also near Whittier but I wasn't a huge fan of that town. I know there are some great boat tours out of Whittier so don't let my opinion keep you away. On my way back from Whittier I decided to visit the town of Hope. Love it.

Yes, property is a clean, comfortable cabin within a short driving distance of Seward. The kitchen was a pleasure to have, along with the hot tub every evening after hiking or kayaking. The owner is always available and friendly. I would highly recommend it for up to four people.

We tremendously enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean and well stocked with all the conveniences. The hot tub was a wonderful amenity, especially after a day of snowmachining. There are snowmachine and hiking trails that lead out directly from the chalet. The property manager was extremely helpful. We have three young boys and the twin bed loft setup was perfect.

We really enjoyed our stay at Eagle Aire! It was easy to find and the location was great! We really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a long day hiking and watching an owl in a tree near the house. The host provided great information about the area and was even there to greet us when we were checking out. We would definitely stay here again.

Great house, great host, beautiful setting with easy access to Seward. Our trip got off to a rough start due to a canceled flight, but Gary was great with his communication and flexibility. House is well equipped and in a very quiet, relaxing location.

Couldn't have been better!
Stayed at the Eagles Aire. Can’t say enough good things. We had an amazing few days at Spruce Moose! The drive from Anchorage was unbelievable, and pulling up to this picturesque little cabin in the thick of the woods made it even better. Right across from a stunning lake, with mountain views on all sides, you feel like you’re in heaven! The cabin itself was perfect, and the hot tub (with views of the mountains and surrounded by trees) was our favorite part. Gary was incredibly friendly and we could tell that he takes pride in his homes - he built it himself! The kitchen had literally everything we needed to cook up some yummy meals, and we appreciated that everything was set up in such a practical way that you never have to search long to find something you need. You can tell that a lot of thought was put into it. Don’t forget to stock up on groceries before you arrive! The bed was large and comfy, and there is a loft upstairs with two twin beds. Not to mention 3 balconies with views! The living room has all you need for a cozy movie night and lots of board games if you’re not as lucky as we were with the weather. There are even canoes available to use - we took one out on the lake one morning and it was amazing. Could not have enjoyed our stay more, and we truly hope to return soon. Don’t miss the Seward boat tour while you’re there - we spotted Orcas in the wild and glaciers calving! Thank you Gary for helping to make this a trip to remember!

Nice getaway in Moose Pass
A buddy and I stayed here for a few days during our trip to Alaska. The rental is exactly as described, and was very cozy and just about a 30 min drive to Seward. We didn't get a chance to take the canoes out - but that would have been amazing. Upon checkin we were greeted by the property manager and he gave some recommendations -very friendly and he let us know if we needed anything to just let him know. I appreciated also the text communication earlier in the day checking to see when we would be arriving. Great cabin - would definitely stay here again.

Spruce Moose chalet was great
We enjoyed our stay at the Eagle Aerie chalet. It was as pictured and had super comfortable beds. It was secluded and was a 30 mile drive to Seward. Would definitely stay there again.

Zero hospitality sums up the stay. Upon arrival, two brash men made our group feel uneasy as they ended their welcome speech by accusing a member of our group of trespassing on their property if they didn't immediately register. They later realized that they had made the mistake and apologized, but the initial impression was set and the air mattress they brought had a hole in it. Many issues could have been mitigated if the host would have responded in any timely manner to attempt to resolve the many problems that came up.

Great Cabin tucked away in the woods.
This Cabin worked out great for us to attend a wedding in Moose Pass. It was stocked with everything needed to cook just need to bring food, which is best purchased in Anchorage. It rained the whole time so did not get to use hot tub or sit on the awesome balconies, use the canoes on lake. Overall the inside was very coozie for me and my family and the location was perfect. We were able to head to Cooper Landing and Seward for various excursions since they were close by. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect chalet close to Seward
We had an amazing 4 night stay here. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was large with plenty of towels and soap and shampoo. Finding the chalets was easy - I was provided with detailed directions via text. The hot tub was actually hot and clearly well maintained and was perfect after long days of hiking! Definitely a beautiful property and if I’m ever around Seward again, I would stay here without a doubt. I just wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Wonderful Cabin
We loved our time at this cabin and hope to be back some day. Property is just as described and was very comfortable for our family of four. We enjoyed spending time there after a long day exploring and hiking. Kitchen was well stocked so it was easy to make meals. The property caretaker, Steve, was really great to deal with. It was an easy check-in process and he gave us some great tips and recommendations on the area which we really appreciated. The property is located in a private spot across from Trail Lake and only 30 miles from Seward. Highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a cozy, comfortable stay in a quiet area.

Great Place--We loved it!
We loved our stay at the Spruce Moose Chalet. The locatoin was great--close enough to all the activities in Seward and Coopers Landing, but far enough away to give us the private mountain retreat we were looking for. The kitchen was well-stocked, the beds were comfortable, the showers were hot, and the place was very clean and well-appointed. Use of the washer and dryer was also very convenient. We canoed on the lake during the day and BBQ'd and hot-tubbed in the evening. We would definitely stay there again. (My only complaint was that there are no blinds on the bathroom window--it looks out only to trees and some kind of shed, but with cameras easy to place anywhere these days, I would have preferred more privacy.)
