The unit was old (20 years) and appeared not well maintained. I think nothing has been upgraded in a long time. It wasn't clean.

Downtown Retreat with Garden View
My stay at City Place had been a jewel. It’s central location made everything within walking distance. I particularly enjoyed the peaceful and lovely garden view from the balcony. Will definitely come back to stay. Thank you Amy!

We love to walk and Victoria has so many lovely walking routes along the harbour and on the seaside. We were a couple of blocks away from the main harbour, very close to Beacon Hill Park & close to restaurants & shops. The condo overlooked a lovely courtyard and it was very quiet. We’d rent it again.

Great location
We had a great time in Victoria. This condo was perfect for us - close to downtown and the Airport Shuttle, tour pickup stops. Would love to stay here again if we travel to Victoria again.

Lovely little condo within walking distance to restaurants and waterfront.
This condo is fine for a couple; no A/C but we opened the garden-facing patio door and were quite comfortable. The kitchen has all necessary dishes, pots etc. and there is a washer and dryer. Also an underground parking spot. You can walk to lots of pubs, restaurants, shopping and the waterfront within 10-20 minutes. We will stay here again when we come to Victoria.

This was a great stay for us. The location was perfect. An easy bike ride or walk to downtown or inner harbour. The secure underground parking was really nice to have. Everything in the unit was exactly as shown and Amy and her helper Diane were very easy to work with. The garden view off of the deck was nice but we did feel the unit was a bit dark most of the time. We are country folks so are used to lots of light and wide open views.

Beautiful property, great location
My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. It was perfect for the both of us, in a nice location very close to downtown. Having access to a full kitchen as well as washer/dryer made our stay much more comfortable. Friendly service from the owner and manager. Would highly recommend.

In the middle of it all.
The apartment was very clean and quiet. The building was nicely maintained and the security was top notch. Air conditioning was not available nor was it needed for comfortable sleeping at night. We kept the windows and balcony door open to let in the fresh breezes. That kept the place cool enough for the day. The people we dealt with were most helpful in all our requests. We would stay here again.. Thanks, Amy.

Perfect Location!
Wonderful stay. Super clean. Had all the basic kitchen items we needed. And the location is superb! I read a review that this felt like the person had just exited, but that wasn't our impression at all. Felt like a hotel suite to us with plenty of room to unpack. Thanks for accommodating our last minute booking too!

A nice property for two near downtown
It was a clean, nicely kept condo good for two people with a nice balcony that overlook a peaceful garden with water feature. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, cutlery, cleaning supplies, hot water kettle, coffee maker and even some left over tea bags, sugar. I wish there was some coffee though. Very close to downtown, shops and restaurants within 10 mins of walk. Really enjoyed the proximity to all the places around.

Nice apartment, close to downtown amenities
The apartment is very nice, clean and well stocked (even with shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom!) Check-in and check-out was personal and very friendly.
The one minor complaint we'd have is that noise can be an issue at night - especially on weekends. But it would not keep us from coming back again - the proximity to downtown Victoria would be worth it!

Small but clean.
Overall the condo met our purposes. It really is tiny but the parking stall and in-suite laundry are a huge plus. It was a little further from downtown than I originally thought but within 10-15 minute walking distance. Quiet safe neighbourhood. I take issue only with the idea that it "sleeps 3". My daughter and I spent some time trying to figure out how to pull the sofa into a bed only to realize it didn't. The sofa is also not comfortable to sleep on-evidenced by my teenage daughter's back aches. In fairness I reviewed the ad and it does seem to make it known that the sofa doesn't actually convert-my fault, should have read closer. Also, and again it could be my misreading, the parking stall came at an extra price.

Lovely suite in a great location
We stayed in your suite for a week in Sept. It was perfect a location. We walked to all the Inner Harbour attractions. The view of the garden courtyard is very nice. We had everything we needed in the suite. We were welcomed and shown around the suite by Diane when we arrived which was helpful. She also gave us directions to a market on Yates that had a super selection of organic foods, a deli and bakery.
Thank you. We would definitely recommend this suite to others who visit Victoria.

Serviceable.
We really needed very little for our short stay in Victoria. We were there for a family wedding, and numerous associated events, so would not be "home" very much. For the most part, this small condo did the trick. Relatively inexpensive, good central location, but nothing special.
We had just come from a VRBO stay in another city and were trying to put our finger on why that one was so much more comfortable. My husband's response was: "In the other place, it felt like it was truly our space for the time we were there. Here, you half expect to open the dresser drawers and find someone else's clothes inside. It's like the real occupant is about to walk in the door."
And I would add that it needs to be aired out! It had a decidedly musty smell - especially the bedroom. Things left hanging in the closet for a day took on that smell. That was enough to convince me to look elsewhere next time.

Safe, comfortable, Location, Location, Location
The condo was comfortable and attractively appointed, but not luxurious. It is ideally located for walking anywhere near the inner harbor.
The sofa is a sofa. You can sleep on it if you are under 5'9'', but it is not a bed. We were there on hot and sunny days in August and didn't find the lack of air conditioning to be a problem from a temperature perspective, but with the windows open, you are at the mercy of your neighbor's consideration(you all face a courtyard of a thousand balconies). The seagulls can get pretty loud at 5am, too. All of the essentials worked and the agent was accommodating with our arrival time (Amy had asked us to arrive at precisely 6pm, but our ferry didn't even leave the mainland until 7. Other properties disclose their cleaning fee in the description; this one is buried in three words at the end of a sentence in the contract document. The person sleeping on the sofa is charged $20 per night, not the $16 in the write-up. I would go back, but not in the summer. The availability of a parking place in the underground garage is fairly priced at $20 per night and quite necessary in Victoria, especially if you don't have local plates.

Excellent location and well equipped unit. Smooth and courteous welcome. Issues smokers on adjac
Two maintenance items caused some concern. Circular glass top table was completely loose and nearly fell. Easily tightened but ..,, Bar stools constantly slid down. Not easily fixed. Overall we had a great experience in Victoria.

The Perfect Home Away from Home in Downtown Victoria
My husband and I stayed for 7 days. Amy was very quick to answer our questions and was very accommodating. The condo was clean, modern and perfect for 2 people, although I could see it being good for 3 adults or 2 adults and a couple of small children. We didn't get a chance to test out the sofa bed. It's a quiet, 2nd floor location that has a balcony overlooking a garden courtyard. There is a secured entrance and underground parking.
We loved the fact that it was close to any major sight seeing you may want to do and within walking distance, although an underground parking space can be rented.
450m to Beacon Hill Park • 550m to the Fairmount Empress Hotel • 550m to the BC Legislature Building •
650m to The Bay Centre • 750m to Market on Yates • 1.8km to Craigdarroch Castle
All the bus and whale tours are very close by. This condo is surrounded by restaurants, pubs, spas, shopping, theatres and great parks. While we had access to a car, we didn't use it unless we left the city.
The only negative thing I can think of is that the owner could make much better use of the app and website. There are a lot of discrepancies on the app, such as it says there's a pool, hot tub and sauna, but all we were shown was a small gym. The rental agreement also had a different check-in time from the app. There was also a little confusion about checking in and out which was quickly fixed with a quick phone call or email.
