We really enjoyed our stay. The hosts checked in mid-way to ensure there were no issues (there weren't). Great house! Great hosts!

I honestly don’t even know where to begin. This was the best rental we have ever stayed at. We booked the “Big House” with my sister and her family for a Celebration of Life gathering. Tim was so gracious the entire time and was quick to communicate back to me and answer questions. The house is just stunning and has a perfect design, decor and layout. The kitchen is fully stocked with great appliances, knives, so many plates and cups and cutting boards. We have smoothies for breakfast so when we saw the Vitamix we were so happy! It is also REALLY nice to have the tv separate from the living space. The kids could watch a movie and we could talk without telling them to turn it down. So smart! Best of all…there’s a fire pole!!! The details are impeccable. The rooms were spacious and well thought out including everything we could possibly need during our stay. We loved the outdoor space the most though. It is what sold me on the rental to begin with. Trampoline, horseshoes, a slack line, basketball…this house is a DREAM! They even included s’mores and a bottle of wine for us! Totally unexpected but it was so much fun to use the fire pit at night. And Luther, their dog, is the sweetest and was so much fun for the kids. We really felt at home and can’t wait to book again this summer.
Thank you Tim and Susie for opening up your home as a rental.

We met two other families here who are life long friends for a long weekend. Our group of 11 was completely comfortable and felt at home instantly. The Big House was fully stocked, beautifully decorated, had plenty of space to where we never felt on top of one another and there was something for everyone. Two of us are former chefs and loved every aspect of the kitchen, our animal lovers were in heaven with the friendly dogs and cats on the property, and the kids had a blast w/ the fooseball table/trampoline/corn hole/basketball hoop/ping pong table etc. All the beds were comfortable, there were plenty of linens and every kitchen tool we needed was available. We all kept saying how we can’t wait to come back!

Awesome experience. The kids all enjoyed having room to run and play and the trampoline and tree house were a hit!

This unique home was a great location for our group of 12: 6 kids and 6 adults. Near to all the Pismo area attractions, but so many fun outside things at the property as well. The kids loved checking for fresh eggs, the trampoline, and we used the open area to play baseball.
The owner is easy to communicate with and accommodating. He was willing to work with us on our requests about the property-based dogs.

We came here for our Pismo family vacation with our kids and other family members. Upon arrival it was easy to find. The front gate was a little tricky when trying to exit. Dogs seemed a little intimidating when we arrived as they were barking but ended up being very friendly. I initially thought it would be weird seeing as though the owners were staying in barn apartment. However it wasn't. Mainly just seen the older son. There was some water issues. Owner was responsive as I went outside and the son was already at the water tank. Did have a issue with urinal inside but that was fixed as well by son which I got to meet and was very respectful and friendly. It gave me the opportunity to ask a bunch of questions about the AMAZING house. The ideas and history into the designs and decorations of the house were really cool and our family enjoyed everything the house offered. The garbage cans outside were full prior to us arriving so unfortunately we were not able to toss much garbage as we didn't want to leave bags outside. Overall the house is amazing. Everyone loved it.

Overall a nice place to tuck in and hide away from the city. The, house is well laid out and there is plenty of open space for the kids to run around. We had a nice time cooking family meals, playing board games and catching up on some reading. Worth noting, this is someone’s home, not a vacation home, so it definitely feels like you are in someone’s personal space. The homeowners +family being so close by (they stay in the barn behind the house) definitely diminishes the sense privacy, but our group had a nice experience and enjoyed our time.

This was the Perfect place to stay with my family for a weekend. There was a lot to do on the property especially during these COVID times. We felt like we didn’t even need to leave the property. The homeowner was very accommodating as well.

The home is a slice of the best of country living close to the beaches. We asked to hold my son's wedding rehearsal dinner there and the owner accommodated that for an additional fee but it was well worth it. I was a bit surprised to learn at the last moment that the home owners would be staying on site in the barn behind the house and worried that the commotion of our dinner might lead to conflict but they were nothing but helpful and tolerant and we ended up grateful they were there to add extra outdoor games etc. to our event that made it more fun! Highly recommend this place for families and family events!

We all had an awesome time at Wild Hair Ranch! There were four families that travelled together, each with 2 kids, so 16 of us in total. There was so much for the kids to do at the house -- they especially loved the trampoline and the school room, which had kids' tables, paper, art supplies and so much more. Tim was super helpful and responsive -- on our first day, we encountered a problem with the water pressure, and he was able to fix it within a few hours. It truly was an enjoyable stay!

Our family of 9 had a really good time at Wild Hair Ranch. The house is spacious and neat. We get everything we need plus fresh eggs and vegetables at the Ranch. My kids loved Trampoline so much. One day, they just wanted to come back early to play Trampoline instead of staying at the beach. My kids also enjoyed playing with the dogs (Marley and Maggie are very kids friendly) and feeding the chickens. There is so much fun at the Ranch, you don't really need to go outside. Thanks again Tim for everything and I am sure we will come back soon!

A perfect welcoming setting for a family reunion. Lots of space for sleeping as well as entertaining. Easily accessible for our mother with a walker to visit. The trampoline, horseshoes, chickens and dogs provided entertainment for those of every generation. And just a short drive to Lake Lopez, the beach, SLO, the village of Arroyo Grande and many vineyards. Thought we'd miss being on the coast, but loved the warmer weather that the foothills provided. Every day we enjoyed the fresh chicken eggs and the abundance of produce available at fruit stands and farmers' markets in the area. Thank you for sharing your comfortable home.

Our visit at this family home was great. We were there for a family wedding at an Edna Valley ranch so the location was perfect. There were thirteen of us with three children and we fit well using the art room and media room with their sliding doors as bedrooms at night with blow up mattresses. The kids loved the chickens, the great family dogs, the trampoline and we were so busy with those that we didn't even notice the tree swing until the last day! We were able to pick produce from the garden as well. We were able to have a larger family dinner using the patio table and dining table for all 24 of us. Pismo Beach and Arroyo Grande were real highlights as well. The fruit stand at the end of the road provided great peaches and we had fresh eggs frequently from the chicken coop. The fire pit made for delicious s'mores. The owner was great to work with. There was a notebook with recommendations of where to find the best clam chowder as well as detailed instructions for the care of the home. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a family reunion location and it is especially delightful for children.

We had an fabulous time in your amazing house! We had an extended family gathered to celebrate our son's Cal Poly graduation. The house accommodated us all beautifully! The architectural details were truly outstanding. We kept discovering new features to exclaim over. In addition, the outside space kept every member happy, from the happy, friendly dogs, to the horseshoe court and trampoline; we felt right at home. My son-in-law especially enjoyed gathering eggs from the chickens each morning. And my 6 year-old niece threw herself into the role of teacher, and designed lessons for any willing student in your fully-stocked classroom.
Thank you so much for sharing your home.

Our family (9 adults, 3 small children) spent a glorious 3-night weekend at Wild Hair Ranch while attending a family wedding in Arroyo Grande. The spacious and immaculate 2-story house afforded every comfort (and then some!) you could want. The beds were comfortable and the linens were plentiful and high quality. Everyone was impressed with the uniquely designed bathrooms--the double shower and deep spa-style tub in the master bath, and the four-sink arrangement in the second upstairs bathroom, where the fireman's pole is a fun bonus. The extra sink in the guest bedroom and the downstairs bathroom next to the mudroom are very convenient.
The highlight for me, though, is the downstairs living area--the huge kitchen/dining room/living room where several cooks could work simultaneously without getting in one another's way (with our family it's all about the food!). The cooking utensils are many and varied, as are the dishes and glassware. The clear garage door arrangement that opens onto the patio makes the whole place feel like outdoor living indoors. The library, especially the children's books, and the guitars, along with our own ukeleles were a big hit. The garden was wonderful (kale and chard makes a great salad!), and we thoroughly enjoyed the chickens and the great fresh eggs.
We were enjoying the living space so much, we didn't even take advantage of the big-screen TV, but we did enjoy the continuous music from iTunes on the iMac.
Marley and Maggie are fabulous dogs and absolutely marvelous with the grandkids! I think Marley would fetch all day if you let him; I made sure he took regular water "breaks." We also enjoyed the horseshoe pit, the trampoline, and the treehouse.
Thanks again for a great stay at The Wild Hair Ranch!

The Wild Hair Ranch house has everything one would need ! It is indeed a home away from home. Lots of games and activities in the house for kids - not to forget the computer and netflix !! . The 2 dogs, tree house, trampoline and basket ball hoop outside were instant hit with kids in our group (7 of them) ! The floor plan is very open and spacious. We were a total of 15 ppl in the house, but it never felt crowded. Even in the kitchen .. at one point, we were 6-7 of us working at the same time !! The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. All the linens were high quality !!
The house had lot of cool features that wouldn't be found in any regular house - like the black board in the kitchen area, library corner, school room, the pole from kids room to the school room (although we were too scared to use it :) ), etc..
We had a wonderful stay in this house.. We will definitely be coming back !!

We had an excellent stay at the Wild Hair Ranch. The house is really pretty cool. It's a great setup for hanging out with family or friends. The design is very open - the living room even has a huge garage door that opens out to the patio, making it seem even more open! Our kids had a blast running around the house, playing on the trampoline outside (complete with safety nets), and playing with the super friendly dogs.
The owner, Tim, is super responsive and a friendly guy. He was on vacation during our stay, but made it a point to contact us throughout the trip to make sure everything was working out for us.
If we ever constructed a house from the ground up, I'd definitely borrow some ideas from the Wild Hair Ranch! And we expect we'll stay here again in the future.

Fantastic house for 3 families with 6 small boys. Spacious and modern, the recently constructed house was great for catching up with old friends. The house is close to numerous attractions yet secluded and private. You won't find many vacation rentals with an Eames lounge chair and a Vitamix blender. I highly recommend this home anyone with looking for a tastefully designed and decorated home to stay in while visiting the Central Coast.
