About this cabin rental
This log cabin has it all! Awe-inspiring views from the cabin afforded by being near the top of the mountain. Minutes from a multitude of shopping and dining choices in convenient South Asheville, less than 20 minutes from downtown Asheville, 10 minutes from Biltmore Park Mall, 15 minutes from Biltmore Village and the Biltmore Estate. The cabin is situated in a peaceful, well-established community with incredible views and lots of trees providing privacy between the houses which are spaced generously apart from one another. For hiking and nature enthusiasts, a 300 acre nature preserve with walking paths is literally steps away from the cabin. Perfect for families or couples looking to enjoy all the entertainment Asheville has to offer as well as peace, relaxation and inspiring mountain views. Tony and I live 30 minutes north of this cabin so we are always available to address any questions or issues that may come up.

The wrap around deck overlooks the surrounding woods opening up to incredible valley and long range-mountain views. 6 person Leisure Bay hot tub spa with waterfall and lights situated on the deck for maximum viewing pleasure. The well-equipped kitchen with a center island has all the modern large appliances: dishwasher, microwave, electric stove/oven, coffee makers (a Keurig AND traditional coffee maker) and basic spices. One level living with 3 bedrooms: the master has a king size log bed, 43" flat screen TV and its own bathroom (bathrooms only have showers, no tubs). Another has a king size bed, and the third has two twin beds . All bedrooms have ceiling fans. Only 100% cotton bed and bath linens are provided. The great room has comfy leather furniture, including a sofa and two reclining chairs, a gas stone fireplace, handmade, rustic tables and bench and a 50” flat screen with free Netflix. The dining table seats eight comfortably. There is a gas fireplace in the great room for those chilly mountain evenings and central A/C for those balmy mountain evenings. Charcoal grill, picnic table and bistro table, and two person log swing on the deck. Dog friendly (please, no cats), you can bring your canine buddies -up to two for a $75 dog fee. For those who can’t leave the tech world behind, the cabin has reliable WiFi and cell phone service at the cabin is reliable. Lively, downtown Asheville is 20 minutes away and has an abundance of shops and Art Galleries and its restaurants are world famous. On the south edge of Asheville, you're minutes from the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway with its many trail heads and spectacular views. Hendersonville Road has multiple restaurants and shops within 5 minutes of the cabin. Biltmore Park outdoor mall has PF Changs, Luella's BBQ, Brixx Pizza and a number of other popular restaurants and shopping destinations as well as a 15 screen movie theatre. Biltmore Village and Estate is a short 15 minute drive. Hiking, rafting and zip lining is in all directions.
All roads to the cabin (including the driveway) are paved, however, they are somewhat steep. 4 wheel drive is not necessary unless it’s during one of our infrequent snow storms.

This spacious cabin has the most magnificent view from the wall of windows in the living room as well as the deck. The deck wraps around 2 full sides of the house and includes the cozy hot tub. Well thought out gate design for the fenced yard and deck which allows pups to enjoy the space in safety. Clean, well equipped and A+ communication with host all appreciated.

My two sisters and I go on a weeklong vacation every year. We are all in our 70's. This was a wonderful log cabin all on a single level. It is tastefully decorated with a tough of humor. You can't get a more spectacular view. The landscape seems to be different every morning. Sometimes clear as a bell other times clouds have settled in all the valleys only to lift as the day warms. The drive up the mountain is a little precarious, but you quickly get used to it.
The home is well stocked with all the amenities and seems to be only 20 minutes from almost everywhere you want to go.

Beautiful and welcoming home/cabin. Location is perfect as it literally just a few minutes away from everything (grocery stores, restaurants, activities, etc.), yet in a very quiet "neighborhood". The home/cabin itself overlooks the mountains - - - incredible views from inside the home and the entire back porch. We witnessed the morning sunrise each of our three mornings of our stay. The side porch also has a hot tub which we took advantage of every evening to relax from a day filled with activities.
The inside of the home/cabin is laid out perfectly with an open concept which encourages socialization of everyone. We enjoyed the large table for our morning breakfasts and evening dinners. The cabin has a nice "outdoor" feel - very well decorated. Extremely clean.
Communication with the owners was perfect, which is always very much appreciated.
This was the perfect lodging for our family which provided us countless memories.

This is the most amazing cabin! The cabin itself is beautifully decorated for a cozy, warm feel. It is spacious, and the living room has breathtaking views since one wall is all windows/patio doors. This is wonderful, since even if it is raining, you can sit on the couch and look out at the mountains (we watched a storm one day - spectacular!).
The cabin is immaculately clean, the kitchen is beautifully stocked with all you need, and there are plenty of games provided.
The deck has a variety of seating options and a sunshade and umbrella so you can sit outside in perfect comfort.
The location gives you complete privacy. You literally feel like you are the only ones on the mountain. The view is completely unobstructed so you can enjoy the mountains and ever-changing sky and clouds.
The proprietors are incredibly responsive, answering any questions and giving helpful input to make your vacation stay perfect.
Staying at this cabin gave us the most refreshing, rejuvenating vacation. Relaxing, inviting, quiet, peaceful - I can't say enough about it! Perfect in every way!

First of all if I could give 10 stars Birgit (Owner) deserves it . The place was better than posted. It was by far the cleanest VRBO I have ever had. Her contact , updates were amazing . To have such a great place so close to Arden businesses with those views is unbelievable. I highly recommend these owners. I understand they have other properties. Book with them you will not be disappointed

First I need to say that Birgit was awesome. Communication from pre check-in all the way through our departure was outstanding. All our questions were quickly answered! The cabin itself is totally outstanding. It was incredibly clean, organized and warm! We had two couples and an teen and there was plenty of room for everyone. Beds and bedding were super comfortable. We loved being able to use the gas fireplace and the living room was really cozy, even though that place is way larger than you think! The kitchen is really nice and we enjoyed cooking there a few times. We even jumped in the hottub. Super fun!
The views from the deck are really amazing as the cabin sits up high atop a mountain. My only recommendation to any lucky future guests of the cabin is just to take it easy going up to the cabin and down in to the driveway and you will be a-ok! To sum it all up: the place is really amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better spot to call home while we were visiting.
The location is right on the money as well. Less than 15 minutes to the airport and about that going up in to Asheville. Perfect!

We stayed in the cabin several days over Christmas break. We picked the cabin based on its location and size. We have family in the Arden and Asheville area, and despite knowing the area super well, we had no idea that there were areas like where the cabin is located with long range mountain views. The views were absolutely breathtaking. We loved sitting on the deck in the morning enjoying our coffee and watching the sunrise.
We stayed in the cabin with our four kids (ages 10-16) and two small dogs. We loved turning on the fireplace and watching movies in the family room. Two of our kids loved the hot tub. The house was also perfectly set up for the dogs because there is an area in the front that can be closed off for them to run without leashes.
The cabin was the perfect size for us. The beds and linens were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, including lots of countertop space. The family room and dining table easily sat all of us.
The driveway is steep when you first pull in, and I can see how it could be intimidating, especially for someone not used to driving in the mountains. My husband and I drove separately, and it was easy for us to park two SUVs in the driveway.

Our family of 6 and a dog gathered for Thanksgiving! The memories made at this beautiful property will stay with us always! We mastered the drive and driveway to encounter the stunning views from the spacious deck! The welcoming gifts were unexpected and warmed our hearts. We all enjoyed the spacious living area and the fireplace was well used. Walking to the nature center and enjoying hikes was a daily occurrence and helped digest all the pies we ate. We appreciate the correspondence with Birgit and Tony, they have a beautiful property and we thank them for opening it to us!

What a great place to stay. All the comforts of home with lotsa space, comfy furniture, well equipped kitchen, electronics, books, starter supplies, fenced dog run, and even whimsical art, etc. My personal fav though is the stunning view from the sizable deck. It's clear the owners made a great choice in acquiring this property and show great effort in outfitting it for their enjoyment and that of others with whom they choose to share it.

We booked this mountain cabin for a short vacation with our adult daughters. We all really enjoyed staying here.
The cabin is very clean & organized. There are towels provided for the sauna, so no need to pack them (I did). There are many games & puzzles to play & an incredible amount of great books too if you want to just relax on the back porch with incredible views. It was also nice to have hair dryers provided.
This is such a good spot to venture out from. We visited downtown Asheville, The NC Arboretum (highly recommend), a couple of breweries, Linville cave & waterfall & Chimney Rock. It was nice to come back to this wonderful cabin after a day of sightseeing. Would highly recommend & would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cabin in Arden. The view was spectacular, even better than the photos. We were a short drive away from restaurants and attractions in Asheville, but we loved being at the cabin as much as being out and about. We would definitely come back to this place if we return to Asheville in the future.

Pictures didn't do this home justice. Furnishings were lovely and the views from the back deck were fantastic. Highly recommend this rental. Just be aware that if you plan to cook meals here, bring your spices with you. Only salt and pepper were provided. We had to buy olive oil and aluminum foil etc as well, which we left for the next guests. But otherwise, top rated stay for us!

Needless to say, all the great reviews are spot on…it’s a clean beautiful cabin in a perfect location!! What we loved most…clean and comfortable (felt very at home), great view and spectacular sunrises!!! Nice yard space for our Pup, loved that the yard space and the back deck had gates, made it so nice for our pup!!! Loved having the nature preserve steps away….I walked it with my pup every day!!! Great hosts too!!

Spent the weekend with family and friends from all over the US! The cabin was easy access from the airport and we were able to Uber downtown with no problems. Amazing views! We spent one whole day just enjoying the porch and hot tub. None of us wanted to leave! The cabin was also very pet friendly and my pup enjoyed his time as well. Thanks for a great weekend and we may have a reunion trip to this cabin one day!

Prefect place for my family and my dog. Puppy just sat on the porch and enjoyed the view.

The only thing i would mention is try not to arrive after dark bc the driveway sneaks up on you.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Royal Pines cabin. The cabin was clean, well appointed, and had everything we needed to enjoy our time. There is plenty of privacy and the location was convenient to getting around Asheville and the surrounding areas. The views from the deck are incredible and we enjoyed watching the sun rise over the mountains in the mornings. Everything was as listed, or better, and we had absolutely no issues. The driveway is a bit intimidating at first but after navigating it one time and gaining confidence, it was not an issue. We would definitely rent this cabin again!

My wife and I spent four nights here to celebrate our anniversary. It was an absolutely incredible place. There is a lot of privacy, it was very clean, and it was set up specifically for guests. Even the lights were labeled. There’s a nature preserve only a few hundred feet past the house, which makes for a great hike without having to drive.
On our first night, after we checked in and went out for dinner, we got a call from Birgit about a massive tree that fell from the neighbors house, blocking the road and the driveway. Birgit was on-site within 30 minutes, and after the city had cleared the road, she had a crew there within 30 minutes to clear the driveway. We appreciated the immediate response to the emergency!
We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommended!

We love coming to Asheville near the mountains for a quick getaway and this place did not disappoint. Remarkable view, cozy, had everything we needed. Close to Asheville, grocery store and again great outdoor patio with a view. They were very welcoming with our pets and had gated in small grass area and deck. We would go back.

Myself and 3 other girlfriends in our 40s just stayed at Royal Pines and loved it. The views are spectacular, the place was very clean and I agree with another reviewer that it is better in person compared to the pictures. The views, log cabin feel, fireplace and hot tub were major selling points and did not disappoint. The location was convenient to the airport, downtown Asheville, Biltmore, Blue Ridge Parkway and anything else we wanted to do. Very private without being remote. The last mile or so to the cabin includes somewhat windy and narrow roads, but you get used to driving in the mountains quickly. We also had no issues getting an uber for an evening out downtown and we even had instacart deliver groceries our first day there. Bottom line- I highly recommend booking!

Amazing views, even from inside with all of the windows! Pictures do not do this place justice. Feels much more remote than it is but not far from anything you could need. Well equipped. Super clean. Great communication with owners who always kept us updated. My brothers and I took my mother to Asheville area to celebrate her 70th and had an amazing time. She was very happy that she could bring her dog and the cabin turned out to be very dog-friendly. We really enjoyed the openness of cabin and large table so everyone could visit and eat together. Even the art and decor is very cool. Another great feature is covered parking right at door to cabin. This was greatly appreciated as it did rain a little and turned out to be a little chilly for a day or two. Great cabin!! Thank you, thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at RoyalPines It was even nicer than the pictures and the view was beautiful. We took our dog with us and really loved the fact that the deck was fenced in and the yard was fenced in so she could hang out with us when we were enjoying the view.. The cabin was centrally located it was pretty close to all of the activities that we did. It was very peaceful and quiet and have lots of privacy. The day we arrived it was raining it was really nice to have covered parking to unpack . We would definitely recommend her staying here
