Our family (4 generations) was in Durango for Soaring Tree Top zip lines. This house felt like home when you walked in the door. Plenty of room and the amenities to create a wonderful breakfast, afternoon happy hour, and evening around the fire-pit , enjoying the hot tubs, or playing the abundant games.. Every feature was quality including bedside mints on check in. The showers are Amazing. The stream, creek, ditch, whatever gurgles by and puts you to sleep like a lullaby. Every element was ABOVE my expectations from appliances to bath mat. If you are spending a week or a weekend; it is almost hard to leave the property. Thank you!!.

It was a wonderful place to stay for our family reunion. The location and the outdoor space was perfect!

It is a beautiful home surrounded by beautiful landscaping. Great getaway for a multi generational family. The only negative was the hot temperatures upstairs due to the 90 degree days. It was very difficult for our grandkids to fall asleep. We would definitely stay in this house again but during a cooler time of year.

The property is wonderful! Plenty of space inside and outside. We loved the water running on both sides of the house. The yard was well manicured and BIG!

Ranging from age 4 to 86, we loved our week at Riverbebd. The layout of the house was perfect for a crowd. We enjoyed being able to eat together at the long tables inside or out. The outside space was gorgeous and just right for baseball with the young kids, and the general location was central to most of the activities we wanted to explore. We can’t wait to come back!

Property was gorgeous. House was unbelievable. Beds wete very comfortable. Instuctions on TV, grill, hot tub would have nice for us older people. 30 somethings were able to handle it better. Two complaints, hot tub smelled, was scummy and kept flipping the breakers. We think that the firepit was out of propane. It would light but not stay on. Sounds nit picky but they both helped make the decision on where to stay so it was disappointing.

This is a beautiful, large 5 bedroom house that held our family of 12 comfortably for a ski trip to Purgatory. It is located between the town of Durango and the Purgatory Ski Resort. One of our family members is a paraplegic, so having a main level bedroom and bathroom is one of the things we look for first. The living room and kitchen layout worked well for us and the dining room table for 12 was excellent! Several people used the hot tub and said it was good. We would stay here again for future large family trips.

We were in town for my daughter's wedding at Riverbend. There were 14 of us in total. There was plenty of space for us to cook congregate and socialize. It is a beautiful property and we made wonderful memories to last a lifetime! The house rules are reasonable and understandable for a house of this size and quality. There are two sets of laundry machines and two fridges. There are several small appliances 2 coffee pots, 3 blenders, 2 crock pots. This makes cooking for a group easy. Thank you to the owner and property mgmt. for a great place to stay would definitely come back!!!

The home and property were beautiful. The grounds were maintained and so peaceful. Tree's, lawn, creeks and a river surround the home.
There was a great variety of games, indoors and out which we took full advantage of and enjoyed.
The home was spacious, beds were comfortable. I would gladly recommend this home, and wouldn't hesitate to come back for another reunion here.

The property has plumbling issues and we had to wait 36 hours for repairs. The furniture is uncomfortable for any amount of time. We were there for 2 weeks and spent most of our time outside. The property is stunning and the pictures look exactly like the property.

Property was exceptionally clean. Surroundings were beautiful. They were redoing the Welcome Book so there were a couple of issues we needed assistance with. We had a group of 16, ages from 10 months to 73 years and everything in between. Overall, a delightful space for all!

Everything you need is right here! We enjoyed our stay. The house was well stocked and very comfortable! We loved playing in the snow and the peaceful sound of the river flowing! We also made some furry friends the fox and chipmunk. The fireplace was a nice touch and super cozy! Only thing I wish is that I could see this beautiful home in the beautiful summers of Durango! Thanks for a lovely vacation!

The Location and surrounding of the home is wonderful. We stayed for two weeks with 5 kids and 5 adults and had plenty to do in the area i.e hiking, white water rafting, horse back riding, etc
The home is comfortable and it accommodated us all very well, although we were there during a heat wave and had no air conditioning. Many of the windows were not functional.
Over all is an excellent vacation home. Getting a response from the rental company was a challenge and my mayor complain

Annual Family Vacation
Stunning property!! We loved everything! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could ask for; the bedrooms, living room, kitchen, and dining room were comfortable for everyone. The owners were so amazing with answering questions and setting up a home to make sure everyone has all their needs met! We LOVED it!!!!! If you are vacillating on properties...DON'T...book this one! My only regret is I didn't book longer! We could have used 1-2 more days.

Family Vacation
All our family met here for summer vacation. This place had everything we needed for all ages. It was quiet, had all amenities needed and a great outdoor living space for gathering time in the evenings. Close enough to Durango to do daily activities. It will be a memorable vacation for our family thanks in part to River Bend Hideaway.

Relaxing Bachelor Party
My brother wanted a laid back weekend in the mountains with his friends for a bachelor party and this place delivered in a big way! Absolutely stunning home with more than enough space to comfortably accommodate our party of eight! We grilled, played games, and relaxed to the sound of the two rivers running next to the property! Highly recommend this spot!

This property was listed as sleeping 20. False!Maybe 15 comfortably.
Home and property are beautiful!
Great location to anything you want to do.
Rules of house posted everywhere in house . Never witnessed this in other Vrbo we have rented. No deposit return I’m sure due to using more towels than allotted. One per person for entire stay. And linens added due to 2 air mattresses we had to purchase for comfortable sleeping for the 19 of us. Mostly adults.
The property manager was rude to me over the phone when I told her about sleeper sofa was not usable nor was the futon in master unusable. I did not call her to tell her about sleeper sofa. That upset her and she hug up on me, after she chewed me out for not putting cover to hot tub back on. And claiming the water in hot tub was below jets. Which was normal with no one in tub. The tub should be turned off when not in use. There are no instructions posted for hot tub. My 2 adult sons researched hot tub instructions after the call from property manager and we did nothing to harm the mechanics of hot tub. Did not cover it only after use one time!
That all being said, we are very responsible people and left the home in perfectly acceptable condition after use. We will not lease again due to the rudeness of property manager, Gwen.

Overall, a great home
The house is beautiful, better than the photos and overall we had a great time. As other reviewers shared, we had a few glitches with the house and the property management setup.
In the interest of sharing our experience for you to set expectations for your trip, here is what we experienced:
Pros:
The home is clean, spacious and in good condition
The property, privacy and distance to Durango is perfect.
You can’t get better outdoor space, even had our own walking trail that we used each day off the back yard. We loved having the stream flowing for a special touch and outdoor seating.
The home's layout is great for a big group and worked well.
The kitchen was well enough stocked to prepare our Thanksgiving dinner for 12. Not perfect, but pretty dang good for a rental.
We enjoyed the fireplaces and the woodsy/comfy feel but still well-appointed.
The check out list was easy and reasonable (I’ve seen far worse)
When our heat and hot water went out we had prompt service and attention.
A few fails:
Having rented homes all over the world, I can say this property management company seems to be about policy as opposed to human touch. There are signs everywhere (and the welcome emails) warning about usage of things, towels, toilet paper, etc. I consider this home to be in the luxury rental category, but the level of control + warnings reduce this feeling immensely. This could be much better controlled to allow the illusion of luxury.
The upstairs TVs are there, but no remotes. After we found one remote and turned on TV’s we found that the wifi cannot support the Roku and they just searched endlessly.
We were a group of 12 but we learned that the house cannot support the usage of our group. We were constantly out of hot water. Our heat/hot water stopped in one night and when the plumber came the next day, he said the house is on a system that runs on priority. Basically, his advice was… stop using anything but heat till it warms back up. He also indicated that we cannot use, washer, shower, heat, fireplace, etc all at the same time. So …. Basically this home isn’t built for 12 if we have to be constantly worried about prioritizing heat to the main floor.
Few little wonky things like the dining chairs are on their last leg and one is about to break apart. Without the other concerns, I wouldn’t have even mentioned this.
Overall we enjoyed our imperfect stay and in a pinch, would stay here again.. Hope this is helpful!

Awesome property!
This rental was everything we could have hoped for. The house itself was very nice and fit our group nicely. The property was seriously amazing with the creeks running on both sides of the house. It was also a great location.
A lot of times you see pictures of a rental and once you get there it’s nothing like the pictures. That is not the case with this rental. If anything it was even better than the pictures.
The kitchen was well stocked and had even more than was listed on the amenities sheet.
Overall just a really great experience! Happy we found this place for our stay!
