We invite you to enjoy 'Aftermath,' our 4th generation family cabin on the ocean, 7 miles north of Bodega Bay, 5 miles south of Jenner. Experience the drama of the sea right outside your living room windows. Sleep to the soothing music of the waves. Wake to a walk on the sandy beaches of Duncan’s Cove and Wright’s Beach. Venture out and explore Sonoma County's unique treasures including the charming villages of Bodega, Duncans Mills and Guerneville. Wander beneath the centennial redwoods of Armstrong Grove. Taste award winning wines of the Russian River Valley. Among our favorites are Rochioli, Gary Farrell, and Lynmar. Watch the sun sink into the sea from the warmth of your ocean perched hot tub. Creature comforts include three flat screen smart TVs, Roku and YouTube TV, Netflix and HBO Max, high speed wireless Internet, enclosed garden patio, deck with hot tub overlooking the sea, and gas fireplace.

Comfortable floor plan includes two master bedroom/bathrooms, both with Cal king beds, adjoined by great room - kitchen/dining/living room area. There is a sofa bed in the family room.

My family of 6, that includes ages 11 to 75 years old and my 1.5 yr. old small dog, really enjoyed the house. It is a bit of a drive from the town of Bodega Bay but worth it because it is overlooking a cliff in a very private, small neighborhood. When we first opened the gate to the home it welcomed us to a well kept patio/garden area. Then a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean from the living room windows greeted us from the front doors. The house was tastefully appointed. Both bedrooms were very large in comparison to rentals we have experienced. Everything was updated and the kitchen was well stocked with the basic cooking utensils needed (something we find lacking in past rentals). Also, the essential cooking supplies were there as well (again, not common). The area is central to great activities for foodies, especially Tomales Bay for the fresh Oyster Farms. The beach offerings between Bodega Bay and the rental were plentiful, but Shell Beach was the star if you are up to very steep stairs to the beach. It is a wonderful playground for all ages that love and respect the awe of marine eco systems. The only negatives I have are that the rental cliff deck has no railings. I was aware when I rented it but is dangerous for small kids and dogs. There is a side deck with a hot tub and fire pit that is secured but there is no barrier between the side deck to the cliff deck. Also, shy on bath towels. Otherwise great stay!

We had the best time celebrating our one year anniversary over Labor Day weekend at Aftermath. We were very excited that the property was pet friendly so we could bring our best boy, Gunther, with as well!! The views from house are breathtaking and we loved being able to walk to the beach to play ball with Gunther. Our favorite part was enjoying the sunsets from the hot tub after dinner. Very clean, well stocked and the perfect location. We can’t wait to come back and are already planning our next trip!

What a lovely place to stay! The description is absolutely accurate. I will add this because it's not in the description. The kitchen has what you would expect PLUS MORE! There are spices, foil, saran wrap, coffee filters, plenty of what you need to cook all the meals! The views are amazing in sun or fog. This is the perfect house if you don't want to leave it or if you want to go grab dinner out. The only downside (and it isn't really one) - there is no washer or dryer. We are a weird family who likes to wash our things so we don't have to do it once home from a lovely trip. The host is helpful and friendly. We would stay here again and again.

We love this place called Aftermath. Its peaceful, quiet, beautiful. The view of the ocean is mesmerizing. Walking down to the beach is super fun and energizing. A few steps out the door. Love the hot tub overlooking the ocean. Fire pit overlooking the ocean is nice. Bathrooms, kitchen, Living area spacious. Beds are SO comfortable. Beautiful views from the Master bedroom and living area. Very clean. Owner is very attentive. Awesome hiking so close along the ocean. The most wonderful variety of restaurants close by the Harbor. We had the most relaxing, restorative, BLESSED time. Wish we could come 4 times a year!

This is a wonderful pet friendly house on a pet friendly beach. The house is located with a truly breath-taking view. Getting to the beach was quick and easy allowing for off leash walks. We loved the location with a few houses between a couple of very charming towns. You will love this place.

We just got home from our 6th stay at this wonderful oceanfront home. Lucky timing allowed us to escape the inland heatwave this week!! The wonderful views, slow pace, quiet setting, and picking up food from the local restaurants are always the highlights of our visits. We will be back, in fact, already booked a few more dates!

This is the 2nd time we've stayed and thoroughly enjoyed Aftermath. It's a peaceful, simple cottage with a coastline view that is stunning. Love the history with the place and many others have made it part of their history too.

The home was very nice, and the garden & views of the ocean were spectacular. There were a couple of issues though that kept me from giving this a perfect rating. First, the internet was not working when we checked in which meant the TV's couldn't connect to any of the streaming services or that we couldn't connect our laptop to the internet. I contacted the host the following day and spent a couple hours taking pictures of the connections & troubleshooting for her to forward to the internet provider. The internet did get fixed toward the end of our stay. Secondly, the listing indicated that there was a firepit. However, it was not working during our stay per the instruction binder in the home.

Our stay was wonderful! It was so relaxing and the ultimate renewal for us. The garden in the front was the first beautiful site and seeing the view of ocean as we walked up the driveway. We will be back again to make more memories. Thank you for opening your home to us.

We had such a restful stay. The bed was soooo comfortable which allowed us the rest we so desperately needed. Both bedrooms had a beautiful courtyard garden view in the daytime and a view of the stary sky at night. Perfect! Loved the quality cookware, gas stove and table with an ocean view! Couldnt figure out how to turn on the fireplace but we'll certainly be back and next time we'll ask for directions so we can enjoy our wine in front of the fire. The only downside was leaving this paradise

We stayed with our friends and the cottage was absolutely perfect! It was clean, warm and inviting. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the waves, sitting inside and still watching the waves in a very comfortable setting and the neighbor was also fantastic! We loved our two day stay at Aftermath! We had some serious wind both days, but it didn’t deter us from enjoying our time there. We still got in the hot tub and watched the sunset! The cabin is really cozy in the evening with the fireplace going, and cooking up our meals in the open kitchen. It was the perfect retreat for us! We shall return!

We have stayed at this property for more than 30 years. More recently it is always booked, I saw an opening and snagged it. Stunning location overlooking the ocean. Nicely updated interior. Spa is well maintained, also overlooking the ocean. Court yard in front provides privacy from the street. Owner was helpful with weather related issues. I look forward to our next stay

We had the best of times. Such a lovely home. We enjoyed reading the history of the place. Perfect for two couples. Beds comfortable. Living furniture very comfortable also. We had to flip a coin for the two chairs facing the ocean. Lol. The men enjoyed the hot tub. We found only one negative. Ants! We learned quick. Never left anything out. The House is excellent. I would give 10 points not 5. We will definitely return. Thanks for sharing.

Perfect location, cozy house, beautiful view. This was our second time at Aftermath and we stayed for four nights. Both of our stays were in December and both times we experienced rain as well as sunshine. This time we got one and a half good days of sunshine and the rest of the time it rained. We still took walks on the beach, and drove into town a couple of times. The location is perfect; close enough to town to get necessities, but far enough away for seclusion. The house is well set up for weather fluctuations; screens on the doors, good heaters, and a nice gas fireplace. The floor-to-ceiling windows on the east side of the house mean you always have a beautiful view of the ocean, no matter the weather. The cozy two-room house was a good size for my husband and I to share with my mother, but it might be a bit tight for two couples. Aftermath is an easy 10 minute walk to the beach, which our two medium sized dogs loved. Returning from the beach we were surprised to discover ticks on our dogs and on ourselves. Seemed late in the season for them. From then on we kept a sharp lookout and didn't allow any ticks to hitchhike a ride. Slight urine smell from previous pets in one of the bedrooms, but that's not unusual in a pet friendly property. I always bring room spray and a scented candle to rental properties just in case, and so all was well.

We’ve been coming here since 2009 and it is hands down, one of the best properties in Bodega Bay. The amenities, the views, the access to the beach and its location are second to none. We’ve been coming to Bodega Bay for years and this is, by far, our favorite place to stay.

I absolutely love Aftermath. The layout is perfect with two en suite bathrooms on either end of the house with the most fantastic great room in the middle. It doesn’t matter what the weather is outside because the view from the wall to ceiling windows overlooks the gorgeous Pacific ocean. It’s Comfortable and cozy. Beds, bathrooms and kitchen are all superb.Will make every effort to get back there sooner than I did this time! Can’t let 10 years go by!
