Lake Lure continues to recover from Helene! We’re pleased to say that Dancing Waters Lodge is once again welcoming guests. Thanks to all ongoing relief efforts, roads, power, water, and WiFi, are restored. Although the Chimney Rock area, Lake Lure beaches/waterfronts are currently closed, there is much that our beautiful foothills area has to offer. Come to DWL as a peaceful retreat and “home base” for visiting nearby towns and attractions. Area restaurants, including Lake Lure and Asheville are reopening. There's golf at Rumbling Bald, and area wineries, breweries, music, hiking trails, waterfalls, and more within an hour's drive of Lake Lure. Tryon Equestrian Center pavilion is hosting some of the Chimney Rock businesses that suffered from the storm. Saluda, Hendersonville, Forest City, Ashville, and larger cities like Greenville, SC are great day-trip destinations. Dancing Waters Lodge is a spacious, two level Lakeside/Mountain home, 5 Bedrooms with Queen Beds, 3.5 Baths and 1-queem sleeper sofa in LL. This home is within the gated Rumbling Bald community on Bald Mt. Lake, with a short walk to the Wellness Center, Bald Mt. Golf Course and RB restaurants.
MAIN LEVEL: Open floor plan with a well equipped Kitchen opening into Family Room/Dining Area, Screened in Porch and large Deck space. The Dining Area has a table for 8, and 4 more seats at the Kitchen bar. Family Room has a Smart TV and gas fireplace. Master Bedroom with private bath-Queen Bed/TV. Guest Bedroom - Queen Bed. Half Bath off the Front Entry/Great Room.
LOWER LEVEL: 3 Bedrooms-all Queen Beds and 1 queen sleeper sofa, 2 Full Baths - One of the Baths has a convenient exit door to the LL Deck and Hot Tub area. The LL Family Room has a Smart TV w/streaming service, gas fireplace. Walk out from the Great Room to a large Lower Level Deck area. On this Deck you can play corn hole.

We loved this lakefront vacation home. We were a group of 10, including 4 kids. The kids had a blast on the paddle boards and kayaks. Since there were no motorized vehicles in the water it felt like the safest waterfront vacation we've had. The kids played for hours while we sat on the deck or kayaked around near them, but we weren't worried about their safety (like we would be at the ocean)! It was amazing. The house was roomy and beautiful and had everything we could need. We saw a huge turtle in the water, lots of bats (yay!), a beaver and so many fish. This was such a peaceful and lovely vacation spot!

Loved this place! Had kids aged 5-10, parents, and grandparents. being part of Rumbling Bald was very convenient, having access to the pools, beach, restaurant (great pizza, btw) made the visit even more enjoyable. Family loved the paddleboards and kayaks, as well as fishing off the dock. Apple picking, waterfall hikes, and creameries all within 45min-1 hr, so plenty of activities to do. Beds were comfortable, and kitchen was well stocked. Grocery is 20 min away but very nice and large. We would definitely come back!!!

Lots of great space for our 8 adults and 4 toddlers - everything was very clean upon arrival and Sue met us to go over the amenities when we arrived. The passes that got us to the beach area, pools and fitness area were one of the reasons we picked a home in Rumbling Bald instead of the town - really nice amenities that were very convenient to the house. The top deck on the house was partially screened which was nice when the mosquitos were out and the whole deck was very safe for our four kids under 4. The dock area was deep water and great for fishing and floating, we also loved the canoe, SUPs and kayaks. The kitchen was very well stocked and we liked having the grill to cook out on. Sue responded very promptly to any question we had... we’re already looking forward to a return trip next year!

We have been coming to Rumbling Bald for 4 years now and this was our first time on Bald Mountain Lake. We had such a relaxing time on the water and made full use of all the toys provided! The house is so well laid out for our large family - my mom was able to have a first floor bedroom that was so helpful. Highly recommend for large families.

We had a fantastic week at Dancing Waters Lodge. The home was spacious and well appointed. It was immaculately clean and was very well stocked for cooking and kitchen supplies. The lake was beautiful and very tranquil, quiet and peaceful. Weather was fantastic low 70’s low humidity, and generally a nice breeze. Our property managers were fantastic. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer week. We will be back.

A group of 12 of us gathered together here for Easter weekend, and we had an outstanding experience at this home. Plenty of space for us all to spread out. The kitchen was very well stocked, and as a plus, the dining room table was big enough for all 12 of us to gather (there was even a high chair for the toddler).Two levels of decks gave wonderful views. We loved that half of the top deck was screened in, and the space was safe enough for the toddler to explore to his heart's content. We also sat out on the dock and enjoyed morning coffee and evening cocktails lakeside.The highlight is the lake: it's serene and beautiful, and we enjoyed the options of kayaks, paddleboards, and a canoe to explore.Just an wonderful experience in every way!

It was even more beautiful than described!
The early mornings on the Lake was something I've only seen in movies! It truly is breath takingly beautiful! The whole family each had a comfortable sleeping area and plenty of restrooms to use!
Surrounding areas had so much to do for whole family (Zip lining, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, golfing, to name a few) It was perfect for us all to come together and celebrate our 40th anniversary! Highly recommend! Thank you for sharing your place!

This was our fifth year staying at Dancing Waters Lodge, and we are already making our plans for next year. It is the perfect place for our family of all ages. We love being on the lake and being close to hiking trails. The kitchen is great for cooking, but there are restaraunts nearby so you don't have to. We had a glitch in our plans right before we were to arrive, but the property manager and owners worked with us so that we could have our vacation as planned.

This home is located on Bald Lake. The home has been updated and includes all the amenities we were looking for. The owners thoughtfully provided kayaks, a couple of paddle boards and a canoe. We could have fished off the dock and caught all the bluegill and bass we wanted.
I especially liked the back deck. Part of the deck is screened in (to keep any bugs out) and part of it is open. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside and staring at the lake.
I especially appreciated the management company. When we suggested that the pillows might need to be provided, they were they in a matter of hours to replace the old with new pillows. I also appreciated all their advice in pre-trip planning when they suggested things to do and places to see.
Great place with great views. I wouldn't hesitate to go back again!

I rented this home for a long weekend stay during my sons wedding and was extremely happy with the home and all that it had to provide. As with most areas in Lake Lure, the wifi was spotty but tolerable to work with. Better than not having any at all! Couldn't use the canoe, paddle boards or kayaks due to them be literally covered by red ants, which was a disappointment, but we still had plenty to do with our other activities. Very quiet, beautiful location.

When looking for a property we wanted a place big enough for each of kids to have their own room so a friend can come. Space was large. Kids enjoyed having lower area downstairs to themselves. There were plenty of amenities. The lake is nice and quiet. The screened in porch was my favorite place to relax. Sue was wonderful with communication and answered all questions and concerns quickly. Would definitely stay here or work with these property managers again.

There were 9 of us. Seven adults & 2 children. We were celebrating a 70th and a 15th birthdays Didn’t catch any fish but we made some memories. It is a good place to unwind/unplug. We wish we had known resort restaurants were closed on Monday & Tuesdays. Our stay was Sunday - Thursday. Going 5 miles takes 20 minutes 😉😊 No complaints.

My husband and I (along with 3 kids) and his parents, and brother and family (2 kids) enjoyed a long weekend at Lake Lure. We had great fun kayaking and canoeing as well as fishing off the dock and from the canoe. The property gave us plenty of space for the 3 families without feeling like we were on top of each other. The facilities were good - although rain and the short trip prevented us from trying all of it. The hosts were great very communicative before, throughout the stay, and when we checked out. Highly recommend.

There were 8 of us - 2 families of 4 and I can’t say enough good things about our stay. Beautiful home, even better than advertised. Property managers were helpful and attentive (small issue with ice maker not working). We had such a wonderful time swimming, floating around in the lake and….relaxing!! This is a great house with amazing views of the lake overlooking the mountains. Being on the lake with access to the kayaks and canoes is a big bonus. I loved sitting on the porch and just staring at the amazing views. The house is updated and everything is in working order. There are 5 bedrooms which accomodated my large extended family. Rental of the house gets you access to the Rumbling Bald amenities of the lazy river and pool. Sue was very responsive and made us feel at home. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Our family has been to Rumbling Bald Resort for the last 5 years. This was our second year to stay at Dancing Waters. We have fallen in love with this place and all it has to offer our family. The house is large and beautiful with a well stocked kitchen. There were plenty of beds for everyone and lots of space to read or just relax. The lake is just steps away with kayaks and canoes for the grandkids to play with. The floating dock was especially fun to fish from or just jump in the lake. Sue has been such a blessing to us. She is always available to answer questions and get anything we need. We have already booked this place again for next year and look forward to another amazing stay.

We had 19 family members gathered at Lake Lure using 2 Buffalo Junction properties. We gathered at Dancing Waters lodge daily for meals. Everyone enjoyed the lake. The families with their combined eleven children ranging in age from 3 to 16 spent most of the day at, in, or on the lake at Rumbling Bald. The canoes, kayaks, and floating dock were in constant use. We also spent some time using the facilities at Lake Lure beach. We had a wonderful time and the facilities were perfect for our family. This was our second time to rent here and we hope to be back next summer.

The house is just as pictured from accommodations and additional amenities. Location offers easy access to a few restaurants, 2 separate lakes and 2 golf courses. Love that this house is situated on a lake that does not allow motorized vehicles.

We always look for a Great Lake spot with minimal boat traffic. This was the perfect place! We kayaked and canoed and fished without any worries about the kids getting into boat traffic. Inside is perfect for games, movies and cooking together. Additionally, Sue is so incredibly helpful and communicative. Our family would absolutely return here.
