About this house rental
We are very blessed that our home made it through the storm with no damage. Power and internet has been restored, and we have unaffected well water. The view is still beautiful and there are plenty of fun things to do with family and friends at the house, including outdoor fire pit, hot tub, pool & foosball tables, video games, corn hole boards, etc. Unfortunately, lake access that is mentioned below is not available right now as the lake and surrounding community is still in the process of recovering.
Rooms with a View Lake Lure has it all! This luxury home, built in 2007, has been completely updated in 2017 with additional improvements in 2020, new hardwood flooring, fresh paint, electric car charger, wood/tile floors, newly added in-suite bathrooms, updated kitchen with new appliances, granite countertops and all new furniture. Outdoor environment is exquisite, including new patio furniture, 6 person hot tub, large fire pit and outdoor shower.
The inside of the home is very spacious, main level has fully stocked kitchen with magnificent view of lake & mountains, including Chimney Rock. Large table seats 8 with additional seating in the bar and at kitchen counter. Bar/sunroom area has seating for 7 with a high def flat screen TV for game days. Master suite has large bathroom with soaking tub, double vanity and beautiful tile shower, king size bed and daybed, perfect for families with little ones. Top floor is a 2 bedroom suite with in-suite bathrooms and privacy door at hallway access point, loft with spectacular Mountain View and sleeper sofa for additional guests. The basement is completely finished with tile floors, custom wood trim, wet bar, beverage fridge, microwave, 2 bedroom suite, large full bathroom with double vanity, nice tile shower, large sectional sofa with 60 inch flat screen for movie night, pool table, foosball table and multi-game retro standup arcade game. Your kids are going to love it! Basement has spectacular Mountain View and walks out to the beautiful patio and yard with hot tub, fire pit & outdoor shower. Corn Hole boards also on site for your use. Spacious main level deck has amazing views of Lake Lure and the mountains, including Chimney Rock. Community has private dock/boat slips with lake access, just drive or walk around 2 blocks to enjoy the waters of Lake Lure. Let the kids swim, fish or take your boat out for a ride on this beautiful lake. Parking is available at the pier for your trailer along with wet slips (boat launch not available at this pier, but very close by). You can rent a boat and have it delivered to our pier and keep it at the neighborhood pier to use and store during your stay, on a first come first serve basis.
The home is large enough for the big family vacation and cozy enough for the 3 or 4 couple weekend. All three levels are setup for privacy and comfort while enjoying your family vacation.
Parking is no problem! Large driveway connects to oversize 2 car garage with electric car charger. Additional parking available behind the home.

A rating of 10 out of 10 does not do this place justice! It was so peaceful and relaxing. Exquisite accommodations and super comfortable!! The views were magnificent and we even saw 4 deer in the front yard one day and 2 in the back yard another day!! So awesome to have the ability to park in the garage as well!! No need to go anywhere when you have a home like this one!!

Amazing stay at Rooms with a view! We were an extended family of 8 and 1 dog. We had plenty of room in the house, it is very clean, modern, great amenities and a beautiful view of Lake Lure.
We rented kayaks and paddle boards and they were delivered right to the private dock access down the hill. The entire family had a great time!

Beautiful home and amazing views. The lake was amazing to explore. We rented a pontoon and swam from the community pier. Cookouts and game time in the yard. It did not disappoint.

The house was beautiful and had an amazing view of Lake Lure. Communication was great and the house was stocked with plenty of kitchen equipment. We enjoyed visiting Chimney Rock & Village, Lake Lure boat tour and a tubing trip down the French Broad River. Highly recommend the property.

Myself and nine other senior ladies stayed at this amazing home for 4 days/nights. The home was very clean, had a well stocked kitchen, large and comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, and plenty of sitting areas inside and out (the retractable awning on the deck is wonderful). The location is great! Just a few miles from Lake Lure Flowering Bridge and Chimney Rock State Park. We all felt this was the best house, for the 10 of us, that we have ever stayed in.
The host was extremely easy to work with and very responsive.
I would definitely stay here again.

This house was perfect for our annual girls’ mountain trip! 12 of us had tons of room to socialize but also plenty of space for privacy. Everything was clean and well stocked. Host was quick to respond when I had questions before our arrival. Hope to make this our permanent annual spot!

Great layout for four pairs of adults, one teen, and three children. All men are over 6 feet and appreciated king beds. Three areas for group gatherings were great. Good space for all or partial groups.
We cooked all our meals and found the kitchen well stocked and efficient. There was a problem with large burner on the stove, so we left it off and used the rest.
Came in after dark and had a bit of trouble finding the property. Roads and driveway are steep and narrow. Try to arrive in daylight. We all had a great time. Host was very helpful and accommodating.
We'll be returning.

This huge house with plenty of space and all the amenities had a spectacular view of the lake and mountains. The host was attentive and informed us of the spa guy coming over. The locale of various sight-seeing ventures was great, the weather was perfect and it was relaxing to spend time with all of our children for Thanksgiving week. Everyone had nice things to say about the place and we wouldn't hesitate to reserve the place again. John, thank you again for a great place!

We were a group of 5 cousins and spouses/significant other. It had been more than 7 years since the last time this group was all together.
Each couple could have their own bedroom. The kitchen was more than adequate for cooking for 10 people who could sit comfortably around the dining room table. The view across Lake Lure from the front deck is outstanding. Lake Lure provided numerous recreational activities. Highly recommend the walk through the Bridge of Flowersd at the Welcome Center.

House is great once you arrive. Access roads are very steep and many sharp curves. Everything is a 15-25 minute drive minimum.

The house was immaculate and very nicely furnished. We had more than enough room for our family. The view from the front deck was absolutely beautiful. The hot tub was great, and we enjoyed all the amenities including the outdoor grill, corn hole, pool table, foos ball, and the arcade games. The kitchen was very well equipped and we were able to easily cook all our meals. I would highly recommend this property to anyone!

Our family of nine (including a toddler and two babies plus 2 dogs) stayed 4 nights over Labor Day week-end...we spread out over the entire 3 floors and had a wonderful vacation! The house is drop dead gorgeous, situated high above Lake Lure up a winding mountain road. We cooked every meal and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The balcony was a perfect spot for babies in walkers, our toddler and dogs to roam safely, and the adults to relax with a glass of wine at the end of the day, looking down at the lake with the sun setting over the mountain. Communication with the owner was superb; he was prompt in responding to questions sent and very kind when one of our dogs chewed a strip of wood (thankfully we had purchased property damage insurance which took care of the repairs!). Lots to do in the area...we rented a pontoon boat for an afternoon, which was delivered to the community cove without a hitch. We went fishing at Morse Park, hiking, wading in the creek at the Broad River Walk in Chimney Rock Village, spent a delightful time at the Flowering Bridge, and rented a paddleboard and kayak for a couple of hours at Lake Lure beach. We brought some wood and sat around the firepit a couple of nights, had a pizza and movie night, and all agreed that it was the perfect vacation! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Beautifully situated house to watch sunsets over the lake! Be sure you are ready for the hills because walking back/forth to community dock or most anywhere requires you to climb several steep ones.
The house and property are well-maintained, kitchen well-stocked and house clean. When we did need to ask for help, the owner was quick to respond.
We saw several bears while walking in the neighborhood and one walked right across the yard and driveway while the 1 year old was being put in the stroller for a walk. While the mom and dad were a bit unnerved, the bear looked at them with no interest and proceeded on his way to where ever he was headed.
One of the nicest VRBO houses that I have leased, I would return again!

This was our first time at Lake Lure, and this house was perfectly situated to enjoy beautiful views, particularly at sunrise and sunset. The layout of the house could not have been better for our group, and we did take advantage of the game room. We found the beds comfortable, and all the refrigerator space was appreciated. We spent our first day at Chimney Rock State Park, which was amazing. We also rented a boat for a 1/2 day, which was a lot of fun for the group, and the kids especially enjoyed the rope swing. We loved Flowering Bridge. My negative impressions concern the towns of Chimney Rock and Lake Lure - there's very little in the way of shopping that isn't fudge and over-priced tchotchkes. One has to shop at Ingles for groceries. The private pier associated with the house was not at all appealing for swimming, and it was a pretty good hike from the house in any case. We typically like access to a pool for the little ones, and neither of the resorts offer day passes for visitors, so all activities on the lake require a boat rental, or admission to the municipal beach, which is rather charmless.
This is a vacation location most suited to boaters.

This is a wonderful property and great for families. The location is central to most of the activities in the Lake Lure area. The view is outstanding. It's a steep walk down to the dock that is close to the property, but not a major detractor. We would definitely stay at this property again.

This is a beautiful house to stay in. King beds (4) are a big plus. The kitchen has everything. We used the griddle twice! The view is relaxing, looking down onto the lake & directly across Chimney Rock. The host is quick to respond to you. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Booked “Rooms with a View” as a way of saying thank you to my family after my retirement from food manufacturing. All the reviews that spoke about cleanliness and the house in general are understated as far as I’m concerned. I would give this home and John 10 stars if possible. The house is very comfortable, laid out perfectly, and the views are spectacular. It was great to return to the house after our visits to Biltmore, chimney rock, triple Falls, and Brevard. Sitting in the hot tub and relaxing after a long day of hiking was just the ticket. Oh, did I mention the views are spectacular? We look forward to our next visit to “Rooms with a view”

I was so impressed with this home, as it had every convenience we needed for our 5-night stay and it was very clean! There were 10 of us, including my son and I who drove up from Florida, and my parents, sister & brother-in-law, nephews and their girlfriends, who all drove from Ohio. We had plenty of space and the view from the home was amazing! We celebrated my son's college graduation, Mother's Day and quality time with family! We rented a boat for a half day from Lake Lure Adventure Company, only 8 minutes away, so much fun! And we went to dinner at the Lake House Restaurant twice, great food and view of the lake. We also visited Chimney Rock and Asheville. John was very responsive to a couple questions I had during our stay. I can't say enough positive things about this home and location...I highly recommend it!

We spent 5 days in this beautiful home. It was clean, and very spacious. Home owner was quick to get back to us with any questions we had. Only piece I would want folks to know is that it is located at the top of a windy hill and takes about 10-15 minutes to get to the grocery store. Grab your booze and food so you limit the trips you need to take away from the house. Also, make sure to visit Chimney Rock while there.
