Our niece's wedding was a perfect occasion to enjoy Cape Cod and to have a family reunion with our children and grandchildren......9 adults and 3 children ranging in age from 7 to 7 months. The house proved to be a wonderful choice with plenty of room for everyone to socialize or find a private space to just relax. We are historic preservation people and it was great to see the care with which the owners have been respectful to the house and at the same time insuring that it has the amenities that make it so liveable. The view of the river is beautiful and there are plenty of outdoor seating areas from which to enjoy it. The house was well equipped and very clean. Mark and Susan were wonderful hosts!

Marvelous Family Reunion
Marvelous Family Reunion
This venue was perfect for our family reunion with 9 adults. We all had our own spaces -- including a 'home office' for the one individual who had to work during the day. The location on the Herring River was lovely. We enjoyed the kayaking, paddle boarding and canoeing and the bird life was amazing. It was hot and humid but the house remained comfortable with the air conditioning. I highly recommend this VRBO rental!

Fantastic Vacation Home!!
Fantastic Vacation Home!!
If you are looking for a rental that is located in the heart of Cape Cod but away from all of the crowds and is peaceful and relaxing, look no further. We rented this great property for a week in July to gather as a family and unwind, and enjoy Cape Cod. The property is in an excellent location, is in excellent condition, and provided everything that we needed to really enjoy ourselves. It has a well-equipped kitchen and a huge dining table around which we could gather family and friends. The outside seating area with views of the Herring River was a great draw, and the outdoor shower with hot and cold water was a hit with all of us as a way to cool off and to rinse off the salt after a refreshing plunge and float in the Herring River. The property is just a ten minute walk to a public beach if we wanted to swim in Nantucket Sound, and just a five minute drive to a well-stocked grocery store . With its six bedrooms, the property easily accomodated all of us with plenty of room to spare. The owner has done an incredible job of updating this property while preserving the integrity of the older sections of the house, including the beautiful original flooring. For outside activities, we had access to a kayak, paddle board and canoe which come with the property, all of which were used to explore the river and enjoy ourselves. The owner and his wife were extremely friendly, hospitable, and helpful. This really is a fantastic property which we would rent again in a heartbeat if we ever get the chance to make it back to the Cape.
