The place at a glance is so lovely. The quality furniture, artwork and well stocked kitchen. Very nice!
We walked in and the place smelled terrible due to an AC leak flood through the ceiling the previous week. The white mold in the bathroom was not the travertine age. There is a difference.
The maintenance people were there in minutes with a cleaning lady that did not do a good job.
The AC did not work the first night but was repaired after the hassle of energy and communications.
The floors, sheets and kitchen had not been cleaned for our arrival. Dried Salsa on the floor around dinning room table, falsh eyelashes on the bed nightstand. Empty ziploc bag of previous guests shower supplies. Smelly trash can in the kitchen. We kept our shoes on the whole time due to the floors and bathrooms
The owner did the best she could to remedy the situation but did not fully believe us. We were not looking for a discount or refund.
My point is the AC maintenance and cleanliness should not have been my responsibility at all. IF the AC had been working and the place was clean and fresh it really would have let us enjoy this nice condo.

Everything was great! the location of the apartment is very convenient given that it is the last one of the building (so there was no people passing by) and that it is in the ground floor with very easy access for old people. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. My only recommendation would be to have a TV in the main bedroom instead of the second bedroom.

We great.y enjoyed this property. Communication with the owners was excellent and they certainly went out of their way to make sure we had a positive experience. The private golf cart to Vidanta was nice and the staff was always friendly and helpful.

Absolutely loved this condo and property! No need to go anywhere else. Sitting on the porch outside in the morning with our coffee was so relaxing, as was the pool, which was very quiet during our stay. Communication with the owners was excellent and Larry was at the condo to greet us. The staff at the Balancon was exceptional. After we checked in, they were available at a moments notice to shuttle us to and from the taxi area at the Vidanta property. From there, we took a shuttle to the Grand Mayan Hotel to partake in their benefits so graciously offered by the hosts. All we had to do was call the number given to us when we were ready to come back to the condo. For those who plan to transfer later to Vidanta, we were able to utilize the free taxi service from the airport to Vidanta and then take a taxi to the Balancon from there. We were not allowed to obtain our Grand Mayan bracelets until checking in at the Balancon, and therefore could not be shuttled to the Balancon from the taxi area at Vidanta. There was usually someone available at the front of the complex if we had general questions (unless they were out shuttling people). The condo itself was large, bright and very nice. It was exactly as the pictures show. Thank you, Larry, for the milk, water, condiments, food, etc. you provided for us. They were much appreciated. The dishwasher and washer/dryer came in handy, beds in the bedrooms were comfortable (neither too firm nor too soft). The TV room bed was very firm but it was nice having the additional space. Having 3 bathrooms was a huge plus! Figuring out how to use the stove and washer/dryer was a little challenging, but we just looked up Mexican translations on our phone and figured it out. Our deposit was returned in full within 5 days. FYI, this complex does not have a restaurant but there are several to choose from at the Grand Mayan. We also bought food from the Market Place over at Vidanta. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay. We would not hesitate to return to this condo and highly recommend it!

Wish we could've stayed longer - our family enjoyed our stay in Nuevo Vallarta and this unit was perfect! Security is high at this complex and we had a communication breakdown with the Balancan gate security. I contacted Caroline (owner) and she got on the phone with them and we were in! Larry (Caroline's husband) was on-site to greet us and accompanied us to the resort for our bracelets, which allows access to the resort amenities and all pools, except Luxxe and Bliss.
The Balancan staff is friendly and we'd suggest brushing up on your basic Spanish! Catching the shuttle from the condo to the resort was easy - Balancan golf cart shuttle drops you off at the "taxi" location or Santuario, and from there you catch the resort shuttle to the various stops. For the return ride, catch the resort shuttle to the "taxi" stop and call the Balancan shuttle dispatch (they'll provide this to you following your initial ride/drop-off).
The condo is clean, spacious and exactly as advertised! The pool is huge and shared with the neighboring condo, Seibal. It was great to personally meet Larry; he introduced us to the various staff on-site that day in case we had any further questions/issues. Upon check-out, Larry had offered to even drive us to the airport but, unfortunately, our cab was already waiting.
We'll be back and we highly recommend Larry/Caroline's condo!
