About this cabin rental
A spacious covered deck affords you a front-row seat to this 14-acre boulder and pine creation, right out your back door. Two new Trade air conditioning and furnaces installed in February 2023. The east-facing deck is made for outdoor entertaining. It has a built-in propane grill and a tiled buffet. Lots of comfortable seating makes this the place to relax on a warm summer evening with a glass of wine or cool winter morning with a cup of coffee. An 8ft. slider brings you into an open living room. This space has vaulted ceilings with light knotty pine and a beautiful stone fireplace. These are surrounded by Lazy Boy recliners and attractive dark upholstered couch and love seat. Whether you are staring dreamily into the fire or watching a program on the cable flat-screen TV, it's hard to get up and do anything else. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, slow cooker, mixer, coffee pot, toaster, can opener, blender, microwave, and dishwasher. A large dining room table makes meals easy and accommodating. Boulder Cabin sleeps 5 with a queen in each bedroom and a sofa in the living room. Wonderful views surprise you out of the bedroom windows. The master bath is very special with a walk in dual head shower, and separate toilet room. I never close the blinds, because the 14 acres of large boulders and trees, is a strong deterrent to to any casual person passing by.
Both bedrooms share a covered deck for bird watching or bat spotting. A picnic table makes for fun outdoor dining to feed kids. The hall bath with tub/shower combination is convenient for guests.
Internet and washer/dryer bring modern touches to the cozy cabin in the rocks.
Keep an open mind as you drive through Canyon View Trailer Park, as it is quite an eyesore. The Fillingim's have owned that park and all of the land back into the canyon for many years. They raised 5 children in the stone house on the hill above and behind the park. Two of the grown kids have built beautiful homes behind the electronic gate just beyond my cabin. I have owned this cabin since 2005. I feel totally safe when I am at the cabin alone, while never having had anything vandalized or stolen. Many times the residents in the park have helped me with one thing or another. Please keep in mind not to base my review on the trailer park as I have disclosed it completely. I must maintain a 4.8 to remain a Preferred Partner which determines my placement on the internet.
Be prepared, when you arrive because Boulder Cabin will be very special retreat for your stay in Prescott!

This was a delightful vacation spot. Everything provided except food and toothbrush. Linda described the RV park at the roadside edge, it is a bit congested. However, once you go a few more feet, the cabin sits in its own secluded spot. Mountains and wilderness from all windows! And the doggie yard was a special bonus.

Enjoyed our stay! Everything you need! Very relaxing!

Very thoughtfully and efficiently designed cabin that seems bigger than the square footage would suggest. Great views of the Granite Dells out the back deck. Super-convenient to downtown and Watson Lake; easy drive to Lynx and Goldwater Lakes. Nice hiking trail about 1/4 mile from house (off Granite Dells Rd.). Don't be put off by the trailer park at the street entrance. The neighborhood is quiet and the cabin is set back from the trailers, very private.

Very much liked the patio with views. Clean and lovely cabin.

Cozy little cabin with everything you could need.

Absolutely great stay. Would definitely stay again.

We had a very comfortable stay in this lovely cabin home. The Granite Dells were right out the door. Numerous hiking trails nearby and very quiet at the cabin. Only a short 7 minute drive into Prescott.
4.8
Very private, and relaxing. One thing, the bath fan in the master is caked with dust and is a fire hazard.

A very cozy place with a lovely view, huge outdoor covered deck, and wonderful fireplace all made this a nice experience.

Overall great experience. Would love to come back.

Everything I loved Everything about this place

Great views and nice and quiet!

It is beautiful cabin in a beautiful setting. I highly recommend. The views are amazing. The cabin decor is beautiful and offers everything one can need. The beds are very comfortable, and also the living room furniture. You pass trailers on the way in, but the neighborhood is very quiet. The cabin is by itself at the end of the street, with views galore. I would stay here again!

The cabin was amazing - off the porch you get great views of trees and quiet. Would recommend this VRBO to anyone coming to Prescott. Overall experience was good enough that this is our new place to stay in Prescott.

We loved our weekend in Linda’s cabin. It was clean, plenty of “stuff” for cooking, extra TP, Kleenex, etc. We spent more time on the porch than we did in the cabin. It was very peaceful.
The location is ideal. You’re 10 minutes from downtown Prescott as well as the shopping area between Prescott and Prescott Valley. For the golfers, you’re less than 10 minutes from Antelope Hills.
Our high temp was 80 and low morning was 53. Just beautiful temperatures for Labor Day.
We definitely want to go back.

The cabin/home was wonderful. Bedrooms had their own bathroom which was nice and walked out to back patio. I loved sitting outside (before it got too hot!) and allowing my dog out in the fenced yard. No need to reach out to Linda during our stay, notes around the house helped if we weren’t sure how to work something. Definitely would stay here again as it had everything I look for when traveling and traveling with my pup.

This was our second stay at Linda's cabin. We were in town for a golf tournament at Antelope Hills so this was very convenient and set up perfectly for our family of 5 and the family dog.

Cabin was nice overall. However a few notes:
Property is adjacent to a trailer/RV area….not nearly as secluded as the photos make it seem. Also, when we checked-in the cabin was 86 degrees inside. The AC would only cool the main area to about 82 during the day. That would have been ok if we could have opened the sliders instead of running the AC, but one screen door was off the tracks and leaning against the house. The Other one worked but we had to be cautious using it to honor posted notes about their fragility. (Obviously warranted due to one of the two already being inoperable). Too many bugs flying around to open the doors without screens. The inside temp cooled later in the evening to a more comfortable 80 degrees.
Views out the side porch and back were beautiful as advertised and it did feel quite private.
Close proximity to Watson Lake is a definite plus.

This is the fourth or fifth time we've stayed at the Cabin, and every time has been great. It's exactly as described, and there re no bad surprises when we arrive.

This cabin is even better in person. The pictures don’t do it justice. It is comfortable, spacious, and even has a couple of delightful surprises! The host, Linda, was great. We felt almost like it was our own cabin, except we did, unfortunately, have to leave. Overall, our stay at this cabin was everything we had hoped for, and more!

This was the perfect location for our type of vacation! We had our dog with us, and he was thrilled to have a small fenced area. We all enjoyed sitting on the two decks (you can reach one from every room in the house!). Best of all for us, we were 5 minutes from Watson and Willow Lakes, where we enjoyed kayaking, hiking, picnicing and just soaking in the spectacular rock formations. Also 5 minutes in the other direction to the Constellation Trailhead for fantastic hiking options in the Granite Dells. The house itself is comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our quiet evenings at home.

We really enjoyed our stay. Cabin is very well kept and had all the necessities one needs. Would highly recommend. Thank you again!

Amazing place to stay, Linda is a great host! We will definitely be back

My husband and I had a lovely time with our dogs at this cabin last weekend. We enjoyed some wine and coffee on the large, enclosed deck; the dogs had a small fenced area out back to use (two stairs to get down and the area is rocky, not grassy); and the gas fireplace was great at night. You’re only a 2-minute drive to Watson Lake and 15-minute drive to downtown Prescott or Prescott Valley.
The back view from the house is just woods and the Granite Dells - quiet and remote & we saw a family of deer! - but the front view is a rundown trailer park. We felt safe but it’s not ideal for scenery or dog walking.
Bed was very comfortable, kitchen and living room were spacious, and the TV was big. Would stay here again! Woof!

So beautiful and quiet. Had everything we needed. Kids had a blast! Highly recommend!

Great host with great communication. Spectacular kitchen with much offered by the host to make it very easy to be comfortable. There is a great indoor fireplace and an outside chiminea and sitting area. Multiple different decks and the views make it very nice to relax, chill out and enjoy. It's quiet and serene. Fantastic bathrooms and amenities. Would absolutely stay here again.

We were there for Christmas and there was a wreath on the door and a small pretty Christmas tree waiting for us. The house was beautifully decorated. There was nothing missing from this accommodation. Perfect time!

I've stayed there several times. Beautiful cabin. We love it there.

This property was in a perfect location to Watson Lake and Downtown Prescott. Very quiet neighborhood and perfect size home. The fireplace was my favorite part! Thankfully we brought our own entertainment as previous guests did not leave the TV remote. Just like a home away from home with all the pots, pans, and utensils you may need for cooking. Just what we were looking for to get away for Thanksgiving. My only complaint is that there was mice droppings in random spaces in the house and we saw our furry friend our last night staying. We had to make sure we thoroughly cleaned my toddlers toys as we found mice droppings around them. My son also stepped on a mouse trap (the black jelly looking traps) and thankfully he had a sock on so we could just throw it away. That is my only complaint during our stay, but I would recommend this location/home.

Good place to stay, enjoy out door living

Very nice and comfortable property for my wife and I and our two 22 pound Dachshunds. The linen and house was clean and comfortable with a good fireplace and nice Bar-B-Que grill. My wife and I prefer a firm mattress and we could not rest on the memory foam mattresses in both bedrooms. My wife slept on the fold out couch bed and I slept on the floor in front of the fireplace. Also the jacuzzi style master bathroom large tub worked as a tub but no bubbles/jacuzzi action. There was a brief note telling us that by the tub so we did not even try to manipulate the bubbles/jacuzzi features. The location was very quiet, as we had hoped and very scenic with a nice view of the granite and the wild space immediately to the east of the property. The humming birds visited up every day and our pups enjoyed their walks. They were tired out by the end of the day and slept soundly. Our visits into Prescott, Sedona, Montezuma's Castle, Montezuma's Well, Tuzigoot National Monuments and Jerome were all perfect with the fall leaves changing color and the mixed rainy and sunny but cool weather. A nice Fall season retreat. Last fsll we were at Mariposa near Yosemite and this year's trip was as nice in this part of Arizona's Rim Country.

The house and property were beautiful!
The house was clean and very well maintained. Don’t judge the quality of the property by the road to the property- it was well worth it.

Really nice cabin

We really enjoyed the deck-the scenery and peacefulness were amazing.
The kitchen was large; the living room was very comfortable; both bedrooms had their own bathrooms.

If you haven't visited the Granite Dells this is the place to stay. Built right into the boulders at the base of the dells, this beautiful, spotless, well appointed cabin provides great views on the way to the cabin and while sitting on the decks on three sides of the cabin. Two spacious bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom are perfect for two couples. With the addition of the pullout couch in the great room it easily accommodates a family of six. While only 10 minutes from downtown Prescott you are out in the country, and the only sound we heard while sitting on the porch was a babbling brook. Top grade appliances, large dining area, ample parking, fully equipped kitchen and baths made for a perfect weekend. This will be are go to lodging in Prescott.

Wonderful

Let me start out by saying that we truly enjoyed our time in Prescott and this cabin was wonderful. The porch is better than advertised and is a great place to gather, cook, relax and spend time with family or friends.
The only issue we had, and it might not be a problem for everyone and is something I should have paid more attention to in searching for our VRBO destination. This location doesn't have A/C. We booked the trip hoping to get out of the hot Phoenix heat just as mush as a desire to kayak and hike in Prescott. We were able to do the outdoor activities in the early mornings but by mid day, the temp was in the high 90's and even touched 100. (I don't think that's typical and it was a bit hotter than normal - I believe) We thought we'd be getting temps in the lower 90's or high 80's. Either way, we would have preferred to be able to use A/C during the early to late afternoon before the sun set and temps were at their highest. The cooler the house has only cools one half of the cabin and the other side gets rather hot. There is a mobile unit that can be used to supplement but it didn't really make much of a difference.
Like I said, everything else was great and I would absolutely stay at this place again... I would just do so when the weather is a bit cooler.
