About this apartment rental

The living room has a custom-tiled wood burning fireplace and a comfortable couch with chaise lounge and 2 reading chairs. A great place to play a game or watch a movie on the flat screen TV (equipped with internet, bring your own streaming passwords).

The dining room is located right off the living room and has seating for 6. It is open to a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, ideal for entertaining. The cabinets are stocked with basic cookware, cooking utensils, and dishes. Everything needed for a homecooked meal or take out from a local restaurant.

The master suite features a king size bed and black out shades. Enjoy the adjoining full bath complete with dual sinks, multiple shower heads, and heated floors.

The second bedroom has a queen bed. A second full bathroom is located directly across the hall. Find additional sleeping space on the queen pull out sofa.

Each bedroom is equipped with a smart TV, large closet, dresser, and French doors that open to the balcony.

From the balcony enjoy a partial ocean view while BBQing, having a glass of wine, or relaxing after a fun day on the island. The balcony is furnished with a high-top dining table/chairs and 2 sets lounge chairs.

Washer/Dryer located in the main entry closet.

Guests have full access to the entire condo except for one locked owner’s cabinet in the master bedroom closet.

You will need to take a taxi to and from the condo upon arrival and departure of the island. Once at the condo you will have full use of a 6 Seat golf cart for the duration of your stay. Please note that no rental golf carts are allowed past the gated entrance of Hamilton Cove.

Hamilton Cove is located 5 minutes from the Descanso Beach Club, 10 minutes from Downtown Avalon where you will find an assortment of shops, restaurant, and entertainment; 10 minutes from VONS grocery store; and 15 minutes from Wrigley Botanical Garden, Catalina Island Golf Course, and hiking trails.

ACCESSIBILITY INFORMAITON: To get to the front door of the condo, you will need to climb a staircase of 40 steps. The interior of the condo has stairs that lead down into the living room and each bedrooms. Nightlights are in place for safety. Please use caution and lights when moving around the condo at night to prevent accidental injury.

The condo is very nice, EXCEPT my MAJOR issue with the interior of the unit is the STAIRS throughout the unit, flooring is a very dark wood so it makes it very difficult to see the steps during the day and in the evening it is almost impossible. My mother fell while coming back from the master bath in the middle of the night because there are no safety night lights or handrails, according to the previous reviews this has happened multiple times and yet the owner has still done nothing to add some form of Safety. Reported this to the rental agent and that I had to take mom home early to get her checked out at the hospital, NO RESPONSE!

The property was located perfectly and the golf cart was very continent. The whole condo could use a deep cleaning and organizing on supplies. There was a beeping noise that would often come on but someone managed to get it turned off each time. The communication was wonderful and prompt. It would be my recommendation for families with older children to stay here.

I can’t say enough about the check in/process, how well equipped the property was, the amazing view and layout, the convenience of the included golf cart, communication with the owner, the nearby pool and beach, and so much more. We had amazing few days on the island and I will def be trying to stay here again when we come back.

Weather was perfect. Not too hot or cold. Everything waking up from winter. Never seen the island so green. Wildflowers blooming everywhere. Whales, dolphin and anchovy schools in sight all day long. View from the condo and the cleanliness could have been better otherwise outstanding stay.

Had a great time despite daughter falling and bruising herself the first night falling down the unlit steps to the bedroom. No light in the toilet… as it’s special order… door fell off in the middle of the night the next..very cold and windy…owner could have cared less… Lots of units for rent in this complex… would skip this one…

spent 3 nights here. great for up to 4 people (couples/2 people in each bed). needs some deep cleaning & some supplies updated/added, but overall a great place, lots of space. stairs EVERYWHERE (little steps to get into bedrooms). loved the deck. condo complex pool & jacuzzi are small, but convenient. there is a cove you can enter the water from, bring water shoes.

The biggest problem was it was rainy off and on and cold. We would have loved to enjoy the deck and beautiful views but that wasn’t happening since it was always wet. The 4 of us are 70 and up. The steps up and down for every room were a concern and I actually fell the last night after a trip to the bathroom. We had to go down 2 steps from the bathroom to the bed in the master bedroom.

The condo is lovely! Steve was wonderful to work with! Golf cart was great for getting around but walk to town was relatively easy also! Loved the high ridge hummer tour with Andrew too.

There was a problem with ants, we contacted the owner about it and he did nothing and was kind of dismissive and rude. We spent our first morning mopping and doing laundry because there were ants all over the kitchen and in the bed sheets - gross. The golf cart is really old. We had other family staying in a different unit and we could barely keep up with their golf cart when we went into town. Overall the place is nice but definitely has some aging and wear from being a rental unit. Location is good. Be mindful of stairs if you have elderly members in your family or anyone that has trouble with stairs.

Went with my partner and 2 friends to celebrate NYE. The apartment was just as advertised - clean, good-sized, and comfortable. Check in process was easy, the host was very communicative, and the included golf cart was a great way to explore the island. Will stay again.

Really enjoyed the condo in Hamilton cove Avalon. Both bedrooms are nice and have deck access. Great view to the ocean. We stayed with friends and would come again.

Beautiful property, simply gorgeous. Our group was able to relax and feel more than at home. Large rooms, top quality everything! Lacking a little with cook ware but enough to improvise and if it rains, just watch your step, stairs and balcony get a bit slippery. Have -0- complaints. The Conrad's are wonderful sharing their property and are super responsive with even our small low priority questions. Thank you SO much! It was an unforgettable experience.

Property and location were great! The use of a golf cart is a must so that was really great to have with the rental. Communication with the owner was easy and always responded fast. Everything you need was in the condo. Couple of things we didn't care for -The jacuzzi was not hot at all which was disappointing. -We were celebrating a b-day and received a noise complaint at 8:20pm when we were singing happy b-day to her. There were a total of 4 of us, 3 of the 4 are close to 50 years old and my MIL who is in her 70's. We were all in bed by 9pm so I was shocked to receive a text before 9pm on a Friday night. Other then that, I would high recommend this property and would rent it again! Great stay.

Property was beautiful, clean, well laid out. We came during a heat wave and no AC, no breeze, could have benefitted with bigger fans but it was only one night of extreme heat. A cold shower helped:)

We stayed at the property for 4 nights. Everything we needed was on site. The golf cart is a must at this location , so glad it was included. The views are beautiful, bedrooms were large and comfortable. Great place to stay.

The unit was very clean. Ample space for four adults in the living room, both bedrooms were very nice. Our friends especially liked the heated floor and towel rack in the master bathroom. The kitchen had everything that we needed. While it was not an issue for us (4 adults in their mid 60’s) there are many steps from the street up to the condo so if there is someone that has difficulty with stairs this might not be the best choice. A golf car is provided (it could use a tuneup) and was able to get us to wherever we wanted. Overall, a great stay and we would all highly recommend the unit. Also, and very important, the owner was great to work with and was quick to respond to any questions that we had.
