Bask in splendor at this lavish and opulent Kennebunkport vacation rental. A pond, golf-course views, sumptuous furnishings, and an amazing pergola await your arrival. With five bedrooms over two stories, it's the perfect getaway for a large family reunion or a seaside trip with a group of friends. You'll admire the landscaping as soon as you drive up. There is a stone wall and a large front yard with a pond and fountain. The wood-burning fire pit in the yard is the perfect spot to gather around on cool Maine nights. The living room is colorful and ornate, with fuchsia walls and window valances, a comfortable white couch, and a plush chaise lounge. Sink your feet in the authentic Persian rug or prop up your feet on the zebra-striped ottoman as you watch TV. The vaulted ceiling seems to go on forever and evokes images of a palatial age.
The state-of-the-art kitchen would make any gourmand worth their weight in salt salivate in envy. There's a breakfast bar to enjoy an early-morning nosh, as well as a five-burner gas stove to craft your chef-worthy repast. Plentiful granite countertops mean you won't be bumping into your assistant when prepping a meal and it also affords many places to savor a glass of wine. And how can we forget the beautiful crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling? There is even a wet bar and two dishwashers making nights in a joy, and cleanup a veritable breeze. A dining room with seating for guests amid gorgeous paintings and satin window treatments means a formal dinner is something that should be on your itinerary. There's also a family room with leather seating, a Persian rug, a striped dinette set, paintings galore, and a TV. Exit from the kitchen and you'll find a large patio with plenty of seating and an extending canopy that can be used for cover. There's also an amazing pergola, a cascading lily pad pond, trellises, a statue, and plentiful grass to run around in.
What about the sleeping quarters, you ask? Well, there are five bedrooms to choose from on two floors. The main suite on the first floor is as lush and decadent as one would expect. It comes with a bed in an ornate bed frame, a plush couch, embellished chairs, and vaulted ceilings. The en suite luxurious bathroom has to be seen to be believed. You'll find only the finest fixtures here, as well as a beautifully tiled standalone shower, a clawfoot tub, goddess statues, and a walk-in closet. There's even a bidet! An exposed staircase leads to the second story. Here you'll find four more bedrooms and another chaise lounge on the landing. To find the final bedroom, pass a private study with pink chairs and bookshelves.
This home is on a private road across from the Cape Arundel Golf Course. You can spend the day perfecting your game and then walk back to your beautiful home. Downtown Kennebunkport is only a mile away and several area beaches are within a five-mile radius of this manse. Kennebunkport is a quaint, charming seaside village filled with history, boutique shops, and restaurants. Walker's Point (the Bush Compound), home of former President George H.W. Bush is nearby and the town is known for its scenic, rocky coastline. There are myriad places to enjoy the majestic Atlantic Ocean or just relax with some 'lobstah' and 'chowdah!'

The house was spacious and the kitchen area was nice equipped. Throughout the home, the furnishings were very dated. The outdoor furniture was dirty and moldy which was disappointing since the outdoor space had great potential to enjoy had it been clean. The upstairs a/c did not work well and the unit dripped water from a vent onto a bed. While we reported the problem, no one came to the property to resolve the problem.

This house needs a DEEP cleaning. It could be a lovely experience, but we found piles of trash, stained carpets, dirty towels, dresser drawers had inappropriate items left from previous guests/owners, outside area looks nothing like pictures. We’ve stayed in several vacation rentals and this one is poorly managed.

The house was beautiful and easily accommodated the 7 of us very comfortably and, due to weather, became the place that we got married. We'll always have a place in our hearts for Grandeur on the Green.

It's our second time at this great home, and that's just what is it, a great home. Not at all sterile like so many other offerings. Certainly looking forward to another stay.

This is a beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood. It’s very close to Kinnebunkport but you would still probably want to drive because the road is fairly busy. The house is spacious and has a pretty outside area.
It does have a lot of furniture so some of the rooms are a little tight. Our friends who stayed upstairs got pretty warm because the AC wasn’t keeping up well with the unseasonably hot weather. They do have several box fans in the house, though.

Property description and photos presented on VRBO are not representative of this property. I have filed a complaint with VRBO and with VACASA, the property manager.

I rented the home in December 2021 as it was listed and virtual tour showed 5 bedrooms, eight months later after I paid the balance due without any refund- I was told that the fifth bedroom was no longer allowed to be rented due to a new HOA regulation. I reached out and let VACASA know who was managing the property we needed the fifth bedroom and since I had rented it so far in advance I should be able to use that bedroom and as a second layer if I was not able to use the fifth bedroom I should be compensated for that as the fee for the nightly rent was for a five bedroom home . I received conflicting communication from Vacasa. I received an email on August 1st confirming the use of the 5th bedroom, I arrived at the property and the bedroom was locked- I called the number given to me and was told someone would call me and let me know when they would b there to unlock the 5th bedroom door. No one showed up but received a call that the bedroom could not be used thus we had to have a couple sleep on the couches. I was not compensated any money for the loss of the use of the bedroom. Also I had put some storage boxes and bags in the garage and went to dinner and someone entered the home and took them. As were in town for a wedding I needed the materials left there to organize my packing, I reached out again to VACASA to find out who entered the property and took my belongings and never heard from them! I have rented from VRBO before and had a great experience- but never again if VACASA is involved.
Unfortunately this situation caused some friction amongst family members as we had to decide who was sleeping on the couches.
As for the house- location was great- beds we had were comfortable- upstairs could use better access to air conditioning and they definitely need coffee cups not enough for the guests ! The back deck was lovely as was the frog pond but the deck furniture and tables had not been cleaned thus we had to clean it!!

Monster Rental
This huge house was perfect for a vacation with my wife's family. The place was so big you had no trouble finding a quiet space to be alone or conversely gathering the whole group together for meals and still not feeling crowded. The grandchildren had an absolute riot catching the bullfrogs in the pond out back. Location was very quiet and close to town.
I would definitely recommend this house to any large group looking for a nice place from which to enjoy Kennebunkport and all it has to offer.

Kennebunkport home away from home
Our family of 11 get-together was easily accommodated by this well-apportioned, spacious house located less than two miles from Kennebunkport. Tons of space for just hanging out and chilling. The outdoor seating area was an bonus in Addis to being private. Plenty of parking.

Beautiful Home
This is a wonderful home in a great location. Only a few small issues or it would be 5 star. The grill was not operational, fortunately we had other options so did not grill, but it was not usable. The dishwasher was missing some of it's wheels so we had to jack it up for it to work properly. Other than that it, it was a great option for my family. I would highly recommend it.

Nice property but instructions & description are inaccurate
The property is overall pretty nice so this rating would be much higher, but our experience was negatively impacted by the incorrect instructions. The location of the 2nd lock box is incorrectly described and when we reported that a group of us waited 2 hours late at night because the supposed lock code didn't open the 2nd lock box, we were not compensated in any way.

Perfect location!
The location of this house makes it so easy to travel to/from the center of Kennebunkport. We easily fit 10 ladies, everyone having a bed to sleep in, but the house itself smelled like cat urine in areas, and the lighting was very difficult to work. Good for a quick weekend getaway, but I recommend a deep clean for the next guests!

Over the top interior
The photos on Vacasa tell the story of this “Victorian monstrosity”. Our group of 13 loved the house. Kitchen is great for large groups. House is long on living spaces and short on sleeping space. All but one bedroom were very tight and if you have more than four couples, you have to be prepared to share bedrooms. Also, with only 2 1/2 baths, there can be quite a waiting line. The house is a good 25 minute walk from downtown Kennebunkport and a drive to any beach.

Home that has it all!
I spend 2-nights in Kennebunkport for a girls' weekend and this home really had it all. It was clean, spacious, comfortable, great kitchen, beautifully landscaped yard and patios, close to town... I could go on and on! The whole group really enjoyed our stay here. I definitely recommend to others!

The Mansion
This home is absolutely beautiful, both inside and out! This home is perfect for large groups (of adults only) as there are FIVE bedrooms and two of the bedrooms have two beds. Having THREE AND A HALF bathrooms also makes it comfortable for everyone to not have to share just one or two.
Location is close to town where there are plenty of stores and restaurants to choose from. It's close to several beaches.
Finding a place to park is a challenge and traffic moves slowly through town. But, follow the flow and you'll love it.

It's was a very nice home. It was a little dirty needs a thorough cleaning.
We ended up waging a lot of the dishes we used. The inside of the cupboards need to be cleaned. Some of us got bit by bugs that were inside the bed.

We were in Kennebunkport for a friends wedding over the Labor Day weekend. We enjoyed staying the this beautiful home and loved the furnishings! The location was perfect and it was so nice to be in such a beautiful neighborhood. We enjoyed eating at many of the local restaurants i.e. Mabel's Lobster Claw (best lobster rolls), Alisson's for Lobster bisque and lobster rolls. We would definitely come back and stay in this property! Thank you for a great stay.
