This charming casita is perfectly situated right off the plaza on a quiet street. We highly recommend it for anyone who is comfortable with using a narrow, spiral staircase. We will certainly stay here again.

This was place was amazing. We knew that it would be as we stayed here last year, too. You have to be a little agile--the bedroom is accessed via a narrow spiral staircase. But the casita is beautiful, comfortably furnished, with just about everything that you could need. And the location--well, if you're visiting Taos it could not be more convenient. A+

Excellent location. Lovely host. Beautiful art a bonus. Casita was very comfortable. The spiral staircase to the sleeping loft could be a challenge for some. Would stay again!

Perfect location to everything. Slopes are about 30-40 minutes. We went to Taos and Angel Fire. Walking distance to historic downtown area that included restaurants and the art district.

The property is gorgeous with many pieces of NM artwork, many of them Inger’s. It is perfectly located, just a few steps from Taos Plaza and our new favorite coffee shop World Cup Café. The casita is spacious and airy and has everything you need. We had a really marvelous stay over the Christmas week. And Inger is a sweetheart. If you stay here be sure to pop into her gallery next door and say hi. Highly recommended.

We have stayed here before. We love Inger's artwork and the keep sakes that decorate the unit. Lovely kitchen with a window to the south and the great room has north and west windows that add to the charm of the unit. The location on Ledoux street is perfect - a quiet street just 1/2 block from the plaza. Old Taos at its best.

We loved the space - the light, the art, the convenience of being in the middle of Taos. We walked to restaurants and shops, and the art center where we saw our daughter dance with her dance ensemble. Easy to get to to hiking, hot springs, tourist attractions. The fall colors were absolutely fantastic! Hosts were responsive when there was an issue. Would definitely stay here again.
Be aware that the only bathroom is in the loft, up a spiral staircase, if mobility is an issue.

Unfortunately this was not a comfortable stay for our Christmas Holiday. The dishwasher needs to be fixed/attached desperately. When opening it the entire dishwasher falls out almost crushing your feet. There is no cold water in the shower. The cold water facet is broken, so we had to take scorching hot showers which made it so we only could bare to shower once each. There are nails sticking up in the floorboards in the bedroom which made us nervous, luckily we didn’t step on them. Also the home does not seemed to be fully cleaned. There were many dead bugs in the bathroom and in the main living area and dust.. We also had to buy trash bags and dishwasher pods since there were only two each. We paid a lot for a comfortable stay and we really wish we had stayed somewhere else as this was a big disappointment. These issues have to be fixed as soon as possible for the next guests, especially the shower and dishwasher. The weight of the plates/dishes made the entire washer fall out without any of us touching it. This could easily crush someone’s feet or hurt a child. And the shower was absolutely unbearable without cold water. Inger is absolutely wonderful and I feel bad writing a bad review, but I think it is necessary.

I love Taos!
Very friendly and hospitable host.
Easy access to casita and to downtown Taos.
Comfortable, spacious casita! Well furnished!
Interesting and comfortable (host offered use of her personal courtyard for relaxation, how cool is that?).

Wonderful apartment in the middle of Taos' art district.
This wonderful apartment is right next to the Inger Jirby gallery on Ledoux St. in Taos and is filled with examples of her art. It is easy walking distance to the Harwood Museum, the Plaza and Bent St. Charming place in a perfect location.

The Heart of Taos
Spacious casita with all the comforts of home surrounded by the amazing colors and the artwork of Inger Jirby. The casita had everything we were looking for, a well equipped kitchen, comfortable living area and a roomy loft bedroom. All onveniently located within steps of the Taos plaza. As mentioned in other reviews, the spiral staircase to the loft presented an issue with getting anything larger than an overnight bag up to the bedroom. But don't let that stop you. I would rent this casita again in a heartbeat.

Much Needed Getaway
My wife and I stayed here for a much needed getaway. Location was great for my wife to do the downtown scene and I was able to go to Taos Ski Valley. Everything was great and clean in this very unique casita. The only minor issue would be the narrow spiral staircase for carrying luggage up to the bedroom bathroom area.

Cute but could have used a good cleaning
This unit was more spacious than the pictures and description made me think it would be. There are some tight and steep spiral stairs that were a bit challenging to carry luggage up. Note that the only bathroom is up these stairs, too.
Two downsides on this one: First, it was dusty (windowsills, ledges, shelves, etc) and the floors were not clean. Second the key situation… We were awoken at 3am to someone entering our place who had apparently rented the next door unit and those keys worked. Glad I had used the chain. That meant either the lockbox on both was the same code, the units are keyed the same, or the cleaner mixed up the keys. Either way it made for a less than positive night’s rest.

Lovely little home
This is a great little spot very close to Taos Plaza and very nicely furnished with great artwork. The only negative is the spiral stairs to the sleeping loft. I managed fine but it might not be for everyone.

Convenient location!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Inger’s guest house. The unit was in a great location near the city square, parking was sufficient, and the place was well stocked. The spiral staircase is a bit steep/slick, but that’s the only thing I’d note for people considering this space. Overall, a wonderful experience and we’ll likely rent from Inger again! Her property manager, Curt, was great too!

inspiring stay
what a fun place to be for my art retreat week. The house is spacious, colorful, bright and even musical.... with a piano to play in between my painting sessions. Inger and her studio are right next door for further inspiration. I would return in a heart beat.

Beautifully decorated casita
Loved the casita as it was wonderfully decorated and within walking distance of the plaza. It was so nice that my husband ended up chilling out and relaxing the entire 4 day stay in Taos. Our car never moved from the drive. Music, art, dining, shopping all within walking distance. Inger Jirby’s colorful art graced the walls and the place was close to the plaza yet quiet at night. Will definitely stay again when staying in Taos.

Artistic Getaway
Our stay at Inger's Casita was a relaxing, peaceful experience. We enjoyed a rustic artistic setting amidst art galleries and studios within the older part of Taos. Our unit itself was filled with Ingers colorful art and southwestern artifacts. We were within walking distance of anything you needed restaurants and tourist attractions.
It is the perfect setting for a romantic getaway or if you just want the solidarity of going back in time. My wife and I would highly recommend this opportunity to anyone who is inclined to enjoy a slower pace of living and appreciating life.

Casitas on Ledoux Street
Very comfortable, lots of room and beautifully decorated casita in a perfect location. Can walk to the plaza and all of the shops, restaurants and galleries easily. The casita has everything you need and you will feel right at home. Will return again in the future. Thanks Inger for being such a gracious host!!

Quaint and Adorable!
This place is lovely, so very New Mexican. It is charming, spacious, nice kitchen & beautiful furnishings!! My only warning would be for elderly or physically challenged folks, as the bath/bed space loft are upstairs and there is a small spiral staircase to get you there. Otherwise, it is fabulous and the location can't be beat!! Lovely quiet street, close to the Plaza.

Inger Jirby Casita
I LOVED my stay. I am not sure where to begin. The second I walked into the casita I fell in love with it, and after 4 days felt as though I were returning home. The décor was amazing, many of Ingers original paintings are in the house, along with other amazing art pieces. I was traveling alone, but if you are traveling with family and/or friends having a full size kitchen which comes stocked with everything you need to cook, plus spices, teas, cooking oil, etc. will come in very handy. There is even a stackable washer/dryer! The location is perfect, walking distance to shops, galleries, etc. and in a very safe neighborhood. Inger's gallery is next door and she is very warm and friendly. I am bad with names, but the young man who booked my stay, was also very friendly and helpful. I can't wait to return.
Thank you again Inger for the wonderful stay!

The Heart of Taos
I've been looking forward to staying in an Inger Jirby casita for 15 years - the timing & availability never worked out. The flamboyant colours, à propos furnishings (a piano!!) perfect location & helpful staff combined to create a sophisticated experience fully in line with my hopes & expectations.
