We liked facilities, parking lot, close to restaurants and beaches, pool and activities.
The breakfast was terrible, food wasn’t tasty, options were too limited and personnel did not take orders correctly.

Spacious, room for lots of people. Room was comfortable. Pet friendly
Staff member was not the most helpful at check in. Just vaguely pointed to the direction of where my room was and said it was on the 3rd floor. There’s no signage indicating what building contains what room numbers. So I wandered aimlessly for a few minutes before I went back and asked for direction. I wasn’t about to traverse 3 stories of the wrong building with my short-nosed dog. I was told to wait. I arrived early with a migraine setting in so all I wanted to do was lay down. Someone else was directed to show me to my room. The Deluxe room was comfortable and large, but I thought by paying extra I wouldn’t be situated next to the road. The 3rd floor is right at the main road level. Trying to nap off my migraine with mid afternoon road traffic was not ideal. It’s loud even with everything shut. I was hoping to enjoy the DJ that night but I was so wasted from my headache I had no energy to go— but the music was good and only went for 2 hours so it wasn’t too bad for trying to sleep.
My room was also questionably clean. There was a tan towel hanging on the window that didn’t belong to me or the hotel I’m guessing, the bath mat was dirty and one of the hand towels had pink makeup on it. Another rag smelled “weird” …like it had been “handled” a lot if you know what I mean. Gross.
Not that I was expecting 5 star service from Selina, but for $210 I expected a clean room and maybe a little more accommodation with friendliness from the staff (the guy at check out though was very nice). Loose stairs, non functional elevators… The pool looked dark, stagnant and murky… definitely wasn’t inviting even though there were a few ppl going for it. I didn’t even try the food, but the bartender was nice enough to make me a bag of ice for my headache.
I would not waste my money there on a “nicer” room ever again. I found an airbnb to extend my trip that was 1/2 the price and much cleaner and cuter. Big thumbs down for me.

La habitación y cercanía con playas
Piscina de ve sucia e instalaciones descuidadas

Nice facilities but not super clean.
The staff were very unfriendly and not helpful. I felt like I was bothering them if I asked a question. Kitchen needs cleaning. Only 1 other person in my dorm, with 3 total bunkbeds. I asked if I could have a bottom bunk, staff responded with 'no'.

Very nice and beautiful place.

One of the nicest Selina locations I have been to, really pretty, spacious, modern, bohemian. I was also over the moon happy when I saw they had pole classes as I really miss this when I am travelling! It was also really cute that in the welcome pack they give you vouchers and even a small palo santo stick - good vibes :)
It was on a main road 20mins from the beach, normally the Selina's are in a better location. I walked to the beach along the road because I didnt want to take the jungle path as I have a phobia of snakes.

The one front desk girl gave us good suggestions for beaches in the area.
I am a dialysis patient, which means I require a clean room. I booked Selina because it had great reviews and looked good. I felt as if we got catfished with our whole experience here. No water pressure and such scum build up on the shower head, the shower was filthy upon arrival, and the room smelt like sewer. They offered us a free breakfast for our troubles. I paid 1000.00 dollar Canadian for 3 nights here and I am in disbelief at how gross our suite was.

Could use another bathroom in the shared hostel room

The whole place is beautiful— the entrance, the restaurant, the rooms. It is a much nicer hotel than what we are used to. The rooms are larger than expected, and have a cozy comfortable feeling. The restaurant is good and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome.
The second night we were there they had salsa night. It was fun to watch from the window and hear the music and instructor teach the class. There was a lot of laughing, and I could tell people we’re having fun……Then….. it turned into VERY LOUD BLARING music and screaming and hooting and hollering. Our doors and windows were closed, blinds closed, pillows over our ears, and it was still too loud to even try to sleep. It went on until midnight. We had to wake up at 5:00 the next morning. This was on a Wednesday night. Ruined the whole experience. I am not over exaggerating , this was some of the LOUDEST music I’ve ever heard.

El chifrijo no lo recomiendo

The room was great, with massive flat-screen TV right infront of the bed.
The overall structure is really nice, merged with the surrounding nature and with a large bar and dancing area.
Unfortunately the shower had very weak jet, making it hard to wash from soap.
The night we slept in Selina there was a music event ending at 12am, be careful if you are an early bird.

The friendliness of the staff was amazing!! Diego, Juan and the rest of the crew went above and beyond to accommodate me and I really appreciate everyone's hospitality!! It starts to feel like a family around here!
No complaints here.

amazing staff, lots of events, great rooms, overall fab experience!
Nosara in general is not very walkable. Might just be the time of year but there weren’t any experiences available to be booked- tried for caves, snorkel etc., none available

- Location: it seemed as thought it was in nosara, but it is not. So we relied on tuk tuks to get us back and forth to beach 2-3 times a day, which is fairly easy, for us$5 each ride.
- Staff was kind enough to upgrade us after i asked for a quiet room - not realizing i had booked a party hotel, that also has a hostel in it. My daughter and i really appreciated that, and front desk staff was always helpful.
- Our two level room was beautiful
- Salsa lesson night was super fun, and if i were with a group of friends, i might have enjoyed the DJs more too. But in nosara, 9pm feels like midnight, so when the DJ blasts until midnight, it was hard to take.
- the shared spaces were dirty: tables by the pool had leftover stains and drinks from partying the night before, even at noon.
- broken planks in the stairs going up and down to the pool deck.
- the place needs a lot more upkeep in general.
- in our room, my daughter's bed had sand in it on her first night.
- room cleaning was uneven: some days they came, others not. Some days they clean, other days they only make the bed and leave everything else (bathroom etc)
- we had a beautiful two level room, but the shared wall between rooms is so thin that we could hear every word our neighbours said, clear as day.
- upper room has no ceiling other than the roof, so no matter how high you put the AC, the room would not cool down. i personally don't mind, but for people who need AC, this would be a problem.
- there is a DJ at least 3 nights a week: we did not realize that. They often go beyond the 11pm curfew, up to 12:30pm. it was entirely my mistake for booking there and not realizing it, but even my 19-yr old was at her wit's end bc the bass was so loud that we could feel it in our bones.
