The open living/dining/kitchen is bright, airy and accommodating. A large, spacious and fully stocked kitchen with ample counter space makes preparing and cooking meals a breeze. Eat in at the breakfast bar and dining room table, or enjoy a meal outdoors in the sun at the picnic table downstairs. A convenient laundry room is located just past the kitchen, with a full size washer and dryer. You will also find an ample supply of beach towels for your use (bonus!). The living room offers additional sleeping with a Queen size sleeper sofa and a gathering place for the family with a flat screen TV, DVD player and CD stereo. Sliding glass doors open onto a covered and furnished deck overlooking the private swimming pool and out towards the Gulf of Mexico.
Turning West from the living room is a small office space with printer set up, for those of you who still have to work on vacation! A large master suite with King bed can be found just past the office area. This bedroom has plenty of room for young children who need to be closer to parents or guardians, and we are happy to provide a pack-n-play for those in need. The private bathroom has a bathtub/shower.
Turning East from the living room is a convenient hall bathroom with double sinks and large, tiled shower. This bathroom is shared with the main living space and East bedroom. The East bedroom is large enough to hold 2 twin beds and 1 Queen bed, a great space for teenagers or even a small family.
Upstairs is a private Queen bedroom and private bathroom with large, tiled shower. This room is away from the hustle and bustle and is best suited for those who sleep in! Just past the Queen bedroom is another Master suite. This master has a King sized bed and private bathroom with double sinks and tiled shower. The comfortable King bed looks out toward the Gulf of Mexico and has the added enjoyment of a large, private balcony that overlooks the pool. This is a great place to watch the sun rise over the Gulf or enjoy a quiet afternoon of sunbathing.
The convenience of under-house concrete parking and covered entry make unloading and loading an easy task. As you round the corner from the front entry, you will find a large fish cleaning station with sink and gas grill. An exterior door, also accessible from the foyer, will open to a room filled with fun activities to include a ping pong table, corn hole, beach and pool gear as well as bicycles for the group! There’s no better way to explore the Island than the bike path which extends east and west from our location. Average bicycle rentals can cost you up to $40 per week, per bicycle. We happily provide bicycles at no additional charge for your convenience and enjoyment!
The large, fenced pool area is gated from the stairwell and carport for added safety but please be mindful to keep an eye on the little ones. The carport entry leads you into a covered deck space with a hot/cold enclosed shower and tiki bar area where you can relax in the shade as you watch over the kids swimming in the private pool. For colder months, pool heat is available for an additional $400 + tax fee. We also allow up to 2 medium size dogs with advance permission for a $200 + tax fee.
Beach access is an easy stroll along paved roads to a community beach boardwalk, about a 4-5 minute walk away. Not only is the Gulf just a short walk or bike ride away, you may also enjoy visiting the Apalachicola Bay via the East Hole public bay access 3 blocks East.

We visit SGI every year with 3-4 families and pick a different house each trip. Buddha Beach is now our number one favorite!! The property had everything we needed and more for a relaxing and super fun trip with 3 families and our 4-legged buddy. Although not on the beach, its a super short walk and there's a wagon to tote all your things. Would absolutely stay here again!!! Thanks so much!!

We had a nice stay at Buddha Beach after minor issues were resolved. Upon arrival the home was not cooling and the top floor did not have power. The property management company quickly responded but it did not change the fact that it was HOT in JULY. The home was nicely furnished and the pool was wonderful. We did have to ask for the pool light to be repaired during our stay. The home is a decent walk to the beach.

Baby's first beach trip
We really enjoyed our stay at the Buddha house! Myself, my husband, and our 10 mo old daughter used the larger bedroom on the third floor which worked perfectly. My inlaws and a friend were on the main floor. We would definitely use this house again and have even talked about renting it next year. The location is great, the pool area is semi-private just bc of the way the houses are built, and the house is perfect/functional. I have very few complaints. The main level floor appeared clean but after my daughter crawled around for a bit the first day her knees were black :/ so we mopped, if we hadn't had a crawling child we literally would've never had an issue. I wish there was a second couch in the living room instead of the two wood chairs, they're comfortable enough but another couch would've been much better for lounging in the evening. The vacuum in the laundry room has seen better days and had minimal suction, again, not a big deal but with a crawling child I had to vacuum frequently. I should have brought my own vacuum and left behind all the beach stuff we packed that was already included!
Make sure you read the list of included items at the house, we definitely over-packed bc I didn't reread the list while packing!

The best place for a couples getaway!
We loved Buddha Beach! We were a group of 4 couples and this house was perfect for our group. Well stocked with anything you can imagine needing, and the house was beautifully upgraded. Super comfortable beds and furniture. We loved having the bicycles available for the island rides, and really enjoyed all the outdoor seating. It was lovely being able to see both the bay and the ocean from the main floor.
We also were completely enchanted by the citrus garden and all the fruit in the yard.
This home made an extremely stormy week at the beach into a great trip to reminisce, cook, play some games, and enjoy all the covered outdoor areas to enjoy the sound of rain on the tin roof.

Rental process was seamless, the house was beautiful. Had a well stocked kitchen but the stove had a burner out and the other burners didn't seem to want to work either. Washer kept repeating cycles which in turn took all the hot water meaning cold showers for everyone. And we could never seem to figure out the HVAC so we froze upstairs and were too warm downstairs. And I understand the need for tile, but would suggest something more slip resistant when you have a pool. My poor brother spanked himself for his bday on the wet tile floor. A new stove top, washer and dryer would go a long way. Other than that it was a great house with great features.

Our grandson did his virtual classes at the desk nook area which cut down on distractions!!Even though The beach is just a short walk away we recommend a wagon or push cart of some kind ( there is one in the downstairs but we used our spending dollars and ordered a pull wagon). Make sure you bring a bucket for shells! We kept pretty busy between the pool and the beach so did not have a chance to enjoy the bikes! But next trip we will for sure!!!The high chair and pack and play really came in handy for the 2 year old! We ate all our meals in the house ( except pizza of course from BJs!) We found the house to be very well stocked with most anything you might need... including an emergency kit with most any necessary item you may have forgotten! We truly enjoyed the heated pool and the pool toys were a favorite for our grandchildren! The house was very clean, comfy and welcoming. The outdoor deck was fun for games or early coffee!

This house is absolutely fantastic. It literally has everything you need from beach towels, bikes, to a very well stocked kitchen! The walk to the beach is not bad, we brought a golf cart so it was easy running back and forth. My only complaint would be the refrigerator, it took 24 hrs to get cold again and some of our food spoiled. The beds are comfortable, pool is great, overall it’s a really practical house. The property manager is also very attentive!
