Great time. Very welcoming home. Tons of room. They provided lots of the little things you find in a home, but generally not in a VRBO. Toiletries & kitchen spices, paper towels & Bluetooth speaker for the game room. Just cool stuff all over. Kids loved the SUP’s, adults liked the paddle boat. Should’ve stayed longer.

A definite 5 star, First class home - best place we have ever stayed at. Highly recommend to anyone wishing to stay in the Ludington, Michigan area.
From start to finish, we had the very best experience- the communication with the management and their responsiveness was always immediate.
The home was absolutely perfect - so clean, and had all the amenities and more. Everything perfectly in order, inside and out. Best experience ever. We will surely be staying here again in the future.
Beautiful home, beautiful view! 😊

Communication with the owner and manager was easy and pleasant. The house was roomy, clean and well equipped. The location was great with a short ride to Lake Michigan, Ludington State Park, Downtown and restaurants. we made good use of the paddle boat, kayaks and paddle boards. We weren’t able to enjoy swimming due to seaweed and branches, so it was nice to have all the water toys and explore beautiful Hamlin Lake.
Thanks,
Sandy and the Ladies

This was a wonderful location that was very calm and quiet this weekend after Labor day weekend. The weather was beautiful Friday and Saturday for nearby golfing. Sunday weather did not cooperate; but, it did not deter some of us from a canoe exploration up the Ausable to a beaver dam and a long hike on the park dunes before the heavens opened up. Someone in our group did mention an issue with trying to access the front door lock. It did not take our code or unlock it after the first time.

Comfortable family stay! The property was ready the moment we arrived. Everything was in great order, they left us fixing for smores by the fire place and gifts for the grand kids. The rooms were more than adequate for our family with great views of the lake and dunes across the way. Fishing was great, right off the docks. Great place to stay.

Our family came together from four different states. We all enjoyed the property because of all that it offered. We used the kayaks, the paddleboards, the canoe, and the peddle boat. Swimming in the shallow water was great for the little ones. Also, the little ones loved "fishing" off the dock with their toddler fishing poles from WalMart. The four year old who is already an avid fisherman caught little perch from the dock and was so excited. We enjoyed what the area had to offer. We rented a pontoon boat one morning, a group went on a deep lake fishing charter on Lake Michigan and caught NINE salmon, and we spent one morning at the beach at Ludington State Park. The kitchen supplied all the needed implements to cook for a large group. The campfire was also such a nice way to spend an evening with ample seating for everyone. I really cannot say enough nice things about the property and the nice time we all enjoyed there!

Wish we could have stayed longer! So much for kids (and adult) to do - every parent knows how hard it is to travel with children and we hardly had to pack a thing to come to this house. The owner was great to work with and we will certainly be coming back.

My wife and I wanted to celebrate our 50th anniversary with our children and grandchildren. Hamlin Lakehouse in Ludington, Michigan fit the bill. Plenty of room for all 12 of us, many games and toys for the kids, adults played pool, board games, and watched movies on the big screen every night. The radiant floor heating, fireplaces, and huge lakefront windows gave us the feeling of being in a Colorado Springs resort lodge. Although it was cold outside, we built a fire in the incredible firepit, which kept all of us warm. The kids roasted marshmallows and made smores. We celebrated our anniversary by taking everyone to dinner at PM Steamers Restaurant, which we highly recommend. Thank you for providing the perfect home for our celebration!

We had an ice fishing group that stayed at the house and had a great time. Easy access to lake from a boat launch that is within walking distance. Local bait shop was great and carried many options. After a long day in the cold you come back to heated floors and the option of two fire places. Enough room to eat for the whole group and after dinner to play cards. Had a great time.

The Ludington house was beautiful and perfectly set up for my family. Wonderful views of Hamlin Lake from the family room and also the loft. Unforgettable trip and many memories were made.

We could not have asked for a more perfect family vacation. This home easily accommodated all of us, and the amenities provided were amazing. The loft area for the kids was complete with several twin beds and lots of toys. The outdoor lakefront had kayaks, a canoe, a paddle boat, and a sandbox for the little ones. The rooms were beautifully furnished, and the view from most was magnificent. The great room was spacious, relaxing, and wonderful for our down time together. There is always plenty to do in and around Ludington, but we found ourselves generally staying close to the lakehouse doing "a whole lot of nothing." What more could anyone want from a summer get-away. Best ever!!

Our multi-generation family had a great time at the cottage. We are a family that likes to hike and explore so it was great to be so close to Ludington State Park, Nordhouse Dunes and the Lake Michigan beach. We also enjoyed using the kayaks, canoe and SUP boards in the bayou. There was plenty of room for 12 adults. The view of the lake from the living room and loft were super. The cottage was clean and everything worked great. The owner was friendly and sincerely wanted our family to have a good time. Thanks for a great week!!

We are so thankful to have found this home! It was perfect for our group. We were 3 families sharing the house. It had everything we needed and more. The owner thought of every detail. Everything was well stocked. We found the house to be very clean and it was the perfect location. The views here are amazing. The owner was so great to work with. She provided lots of information and recommendations. The beds were comfortable, wifi worked great, washer/dryer was excellent. There was not one thing that we needed during our stay. We all decided we are returning to the same house next year. No sense in shopping for other options. We won't find anything better than this house!

We spend a week on Lake Geneva, WI every summer, but due to the overcrowding on the lake, decided to try Hamlin Lake in Ludington, MI. So happy we did!! Even on the 4th of July there were few boats, which made water-skiing and tubing much safer. The Hamlin Lake is much larger than Lake Geneva, too. The property was awesome! Beautiful large clean home and a huge yard for the kids to play. Very highly recommend this rental!

It was great, our family had an awesome time. My husbands kids are from Louisiana and have never done any thing like it before and they can't stop talking about it. The owners were very nice and easy to work with. All the kids agreed we need to do it again!!!

OH MY…we had a WONDERFUL time at your place!
First off, we felt loved and cared for…not just a customer. You went above and beyond to do extra little things like having toys and books out and ready to be played with, supplies for Smores, and Twizzlers. :) One of the young couples noticed that you even had a few diapers in one of the rooms! All the fans that were available were nice to have.
You have things well stocked in the fun department…games, toys, books for all ages, beach toys, paddle boat, pool table, TV, internet, movies, etc. In addition, the yard, the lake, the bonfire area (including wood!), and even the road for walks provided fun and entertainment. And then…the close proximity to Lake Michigan and the town of Ludington offered even more fun things to do. Our group went to House of Flavors (twice!), the lighthouse, the playground, the marina, and the beach.
Our family has stayed in a number of rental places for vacation. Your kitchen was definitely the most well stocked kitchen we have ever encountered. You had plenty of cookware, plates, glasses, silverware…etc! And, even though we tried to remember all the things we would use, the plastic wrap and baggies certainly came in handy. Two refrigerators were a real blessing to hold all the food for our large group. We were able to enjoy delicious grilled hamburgers thanks to your gas grill.
We very much appreciated the precautions you took in making the deck safe for young children…a stress reliever for young parents. The baby gates were a nice extra, too.
And, I know you can’t offer this all the time, but it was so nice to have the option to come as early as we wanted for check-in and stay as late as we wanted for check-out. As the leaders, this gave us extra time to get things ready for the first night and get goodie bags out for each room. Then, it gave us a few hours of quiet relaxation after everyone left. THANK YOU so much for allowing us to do that.
I’m pretty confident we will be making a visit to your place again…possibly even a yearly thing! :) Thanks again for your attentiveness to detail and for always being prompt in replying to our questions.

Once a year, our three married children and young grandchildren gather together for a time of relaxation and bonding. This year at Hamlin Lake was one of the best that we have ever had. The dock allowed us to bring a boat and take part in three days of fishing that was awesome. Our grandson, who is 7 had gone fishing several times going into this weekend (catching only a small bluegill), landed a 15 inch bass and several large bluegill. Enough fish were caught to have a delicious fish fry. The back yard is great for games as is the lower level. The water is just the right depth for splashing and swimming next to the dock. We are blessed to have some very good cooks in the family that took advantage of the very conveniently stocked kitchen. The open concept kitchen, dining, and living room allowed us to be together and doing different things at the same time. The bedrooms were very comfortable and fit us perfectly. We will definitely put this location on our prospect list for next year.

We have 7 kids, which makes it impossible to stay in hotels and most rentals. The house is huge, with plenty of space for everyone. The homeowners left a note welcoming us, along with a bowl of candy and 9 bottles of bubbles! Lots of games for the kids … and a pool table and Netflix for us! Plenty of room in the yard for volleyball, badminton, playing tag, and catching fireflies at night. We caught fish right off the dock, grilled burgers and hot dogs, and enjoyed many meals out on the deck. Having a laundry room was terrific! It was a great place for our family to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnect. We will definitely return!!
