About this house rental
Hello and Welcome to Annapolis! You are going to love this home.
IMPORTANT: if you are inquiring about USNA Commissioning week please send us a request. The instant quote MAY NOT be correct. USNA Commissioning current base rates are $12,000 for the week through 2026, and $13,000 for 2027.
We purchased this home January 2010 and did a complete renovation of the kitchen and Master Suite. We are in the heart of downtown historic Annapolis, steps from the US Naval Academy: a one minute walk to Gate 3, and a 4 minute walk to Gate 1. Walk to City Dock, Ego Ally, Maryland State Capital, Main Street and the heart of the historic district, with dozens of fantastic restaurants, boutiques, museums, live music venues and theaters!
The Navy Marine Corps football stadium is 1 mile away, and a pleasant walk on a nice day (and much faster than driving through the game day traffic!).
We've decorated and furnished the home with a nod to the historic character of the architecture (the home was built in 1890 and added on in 1920). There are built-ins, hidden compartments, detailed moldings, a double staircase, a sun porch looking onto King George Street and a fully stocked "Cook's kitchen." The formal dining room is adjacent to the kitchen and features an antique dining table from the 1920's. Though not entirely "historic" the house does also include wireless internet, basic cable, a DVD player, and a large flat screen TV.
Upstairs, the Master suite was designed with a more modern feel and features a large bathroom (which was featured in Annapolis Home Magazine) and second floor sun porch overlooking the back yard with views towards State Circle. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has a pair of twin beds with a view of the Navy Chapel dome! There is also another another recently renovated full bathroom on the 2nd floor.
We have 2 off-street parking spots and a beautifully landscaped backyard with a patio and grill, shady trees and plenty of room for a backyard get together. An additional 2 parking spaces may be reserved by request (seasonal fees may apply).
Mature groups only. This is not a party house. Ideal for family and friends looking for luxury getaway. We look forward to speaking with you!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful house. We found it to be a clean, cozy, relaxing and peaceful property. It was within great distance to the Naval Acdemy which was awesome for attending Navy’s soccer exhibition game and to downtown. It had a wonderful and peaceful backyard for relaxing. The only negative was the outdoor patio furniture. It had debris and cob webs on it which I feel should be cleaned as well before guests arrival. Other than that we loved our stay!! We would definitely stay here again! Oh, the big plus was the parking; its own driveway, which was awesome!!

We had a wonderful stay during commissioning. The house is charming, warm and cozy yet spacious. Plenty of room in the formal dining area and backyard to host a gathering of 20 family members. The location can’t be beat! Very short distance to the Yard and downtown. Kristjiana was a lovely and accessible host.

Fantastic family stay here over the Thanksgiving holiday. Charm and location of this property hard to beat. Special treat sitting in the sun room and listening to the bells of the naval chapel just yards away!

Perfect location to walk all of Annapolis! Easy to find. Off street parking so you car is safe. Owners are super nice and accommodating. Master bath is terrific. Front closed on porch is the best for hanging out with the windows open. House is well appointed with everything you need to relax and have a great weekend in a great town. We have stayed in 3 VRBOs in Annapolis when we visit and this is the best by far!

Less than 5-minute walk to Town or the US Naval Academy. The home was perfect for our stay! We had friends in the area who drove and had a place to park. The home had plenty of space to relax! Great stay!

Look no further for your home away from home in the best location possible. Our family decided to do a staycation to live the downtown life for a few days. Kristjana went above and beyond. She left scooters in the backyard for our children to play with and had the home stocked with toys. We spent our mornings walking to local coffee shops to get breakfast/coffee to go, eating it at the city dock, then walking over to the nearby playground for the boys to play. Then our evenings were spent enjoying the beautiful backyard. The location does not get any better. The home was decorated perfectly and made us all feel at home. I just can’t say enough good things about the home or host. If I could rate it a 10, I would. Thank you Kristjana for allowing your home to be a place that families and friends can create memories. We can’t wait for our next staycation!!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying here - location can't be beat and parking was an added bonus! Home was clean, comfortable and stocked with amenities. Loved the shaded backyard, which easily accommodated a small graduation party, complete with dining table for 6, an outdoor couch and two seats with ottomans. Kristjana was so thoughtful with leaving a congratulatory note and gift bag upon our arrival. Highly recommend staying here!

Great walking access to Naval Academy, downtown shops and restaurants. Great bedroom configuration, even provided a Pack-n-Play portable crib and high chair for our grandson. Well appointed kitchen if you want to cook. Very responsive owners.

This home and the host immediately made our family feel welcome. You can't get a better location...walk everywhere. We were there to visit with our Mids and it was close to gate one to drive on and even closer for them to walk through the turnstile short cut near T-court at gate three. The beds were so comfy and the kitchen and backyard and porch were perfect for our cook out on the grill. The front sunroom porch was amazing and quiet for morning coffee. We had the best weekend and made great memories. We will be back for sure!

Our experience was first rate from the day we checked in. THE house was clean and ready for occupancy and the owners were flexible on the extra space out back for one of our cars. All appliances were modern and the house was very quiet to outside traffic which made it easy to sleep. Beds were comfy. We rented when it was starting to get chilly at night but did spend some time out back on their nice brick patio. I hope to rent again in 5 years for our 45th.

Nice home
The home was beautiful and perfect for our wedding rehearsal dinner. We left the yard in better condition than we found it.
Please be aware that the neighbor on the left side of the house (when looking at the house from the street) was extremely rude. She yelled at me while we were getting ready for our rehearsal dinner. She then contacted the owner of the property and which led to her messaging me on my wedding day. This caused a lot of stress. The HOA president also approached my family while we were staying here.
The home is in a perfect location for a wedding and is very beautiful. The owner was very communicative.
Unfortunately because of the very rude neighbors, I will not be staying here again. It felt like we were under a microscope.

Our home away from home in Annapolis:)
This precious home is steps away from the United States Naval Academy, wonderful shops and restaurants. Staying here before we dropped off our son for his plebe summer provided a charming home away from home for our entire family:)
Have already booked again!

Wonderfully appointed home with perfect location for USNA and City Dock
We loved our stay at this beautiful home. Everything was as described in the listing, except the location - the description does not do it justice - it really is in the heart of it all, without being right on top of the City Dock. The parking is also great. The house is really well equipped and we found everything we needed. The hosts are lovely and very responsive. The backyard was perfect - bring you bocce set!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The house is historic and remodeled in a lovely way. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. I enjoyed my coffee in the sun room each morning. I found myself wishing I lived there! We walked to dinner each night and made several trips to the local wine shops. The owners were super responsive and very accommodating. It’s my best VRBO experience ever. I plan on coming back!!

Perfect location, and great house perfect for a family.

Pleasant, clean house
My family had a nice time staying here. The house was clean and convenient. It was on a busier street than I'd expected, so backing out of the driveway could be a little challenging, but it wasn't a huge issue.

Beautiful property in a great location!
This trip was to send off our son to enter the Naval Academy. What an ideal setting to spend our last days together.

Great Place
Just a few small things: Only trash can on the second floor was in the small bathroom, there was no soap in the showers, and the small bathroom tub needs to be snaked. Otherwise, this place was fantastic!

Perfect location to access the Academy
We just spent 4 nights at this lovely property and could not have been happier to be so close to Gate 3 (and Gate 1) to drop off our son for Induction Day and attend various events on the Yard during the week. The beds are very comfortable and the glassed-in front porch was perfect for reading or people watching as the street was frequented by pedestrians and vehicle traffic (but it never felt like it was too much or too loud). The a/c was very much appreciated during the rather hot and humid week. A couple of things need to be updated: blinds are missing in the front bedroom. (The natural morning light in all the bedrooms didn’t bother us - but it might be a problem for those who prefer the light to be blocked more by window treatments.)
A couple of things would’ve been nice: tissues...anywhere, a notepad, 2nd bedside table in the master bedroom, a couple more hand towels, notes in the binder RE: the touch faucet and where the disposal switch is - unless I missed the notes, then nevermind. The bedroom doors don’t close very well - if at all - but the house -although updated - is one of the older Annapolis homes. We’ve rented several times from VRBO before and with a 10:00AM check-out, I’d rather not have to strip all the beds and take out the trash. I’m quite certain our new plebe would have no sympathy whatsoever. ;) (In all fairness, because of a miscommunication through VRBO, an 11:00 am checkout was generously honored by the owners, making it possible to get out “on time.”) It was very easy to communicate with the owners - and the missing-towels-upon-arrival issue was resolved immediately.
One final note - the binder included several pamphlets - including the menu for a nearby sandwich shop, The Big Cheese and a lovely wine shop, Annabeth’s - also nearby. I highly suggested both! I can also enthusiastically recommend The Iron Rooster for chicken and waffles, The Boatyard for crab cakes and Annapolis Ice Cream Company. We look forward to returning from California soon!

Beautiful & Historical Home in the Perfect Location
This home was absolutely beautiful and newly remodeled. The warm historical charm remained with all the modern updates and comforts. So many comfortable living spaces....sunroom, living room, man cave, backyard, reading nook. Two parking spaces, which is a premium in Annapolis. Super close to entrance Gate 3 of the US Naval Academy. We hope to stay again on future trips to Annapolis.

This is a lovely home. We had a graduation dinner for family and friends here. The backyard makes for additional eating and socializing space. Was a perfect fit for us.

Incredible Location, Stunning Home Friendly Owners
Wow. We had an incredible time in Annapolis last week. We were in town to visit my sister and her family for her 50th birthday. And we could not have hoped for a more beautiful home! There were 6 of us in our party, including our two kids, 8 and 10.
The home has everything you could possibly want. The master bathroom is stunning and reminded me of a 5 star spa, with a stand alone bathtub, with a historic look, but a modern unit.
The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, and we had a few dinners with guests for 10 around the gorgeous table in the living room. In the evenings we used the gas fireplace for hours. My kids loved the twin beds and the kids toys that the owners provided.
Each morning we would walk on Maryland avenue to get coffee and then walk a few minutes to downtown.
We contacted the owner and asked if we could have our extended family at the house for a get together. They were great about it, and even dropped off a bottle of champagne. We had a couple of questions about the Naval academy and the owners put us in touch with insiders for a special tour! Thanks Casey and Kristjana. You made our stay so very special.
Can't wait till next year!
