The Homes
Rusticana consists of two buildings, an original Cottage built in the 1950s, and the Main House added in 1979.
THE MAIN HOUSE: Cute and cozy with plenty of natural light, the main house boasts spectacular views of the lake from the two huge sliding glass doors in the main room. The doors lead onto a 30-foot-long deck that overlooks the shoreline just a few feet away. Two tables, with seating for 10, plus a gas grill make for a spectacular all-day hangout spot. You will never tire of watching the sun sink over the western hillside while enjoying a glass of local wine, or watching the kids frolic in the crystal clear water. On rainy days or cool evenings, enjoy cable TV, surf the Internet, or lose yourself in a great book. Plenty of card games, board games, and puzzles are available for old fashioned fun. At night, let the soothing sound of the water lapping on the shore lull you to sleep.

The property was great with lots of outdoor activities available for all ages. Very relaxing trip that we will be sure to do again.

We had such a wonderful time with our stay at the cabins. Communication with the family was very quick in responding.
The best part was that we were able to bring our 2 dogs. Everything you needed for the stay was there! We will definitely be back! Thank you again!

We had a great time at Rusticana. Perfect location to visit the wineries, breweries and to do a little fishing. Something for everyone in our party. The house was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Nancy was very helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Had a wonderful time at the house, enjoyed lounging by the lake and checking out wineries nearby.

Can ask for a better local on Keuka Lake. The two immaculately clean houses on the property are literally within feet of the shore, which in includes a great dock, firepit, and plenty of non motorized boats and floats. Parking is great and the larger home is completely renovated with all modern amenities. Owners/hosts are very communicative and there for any questions. Would definitely recommend for family gathering or friend getaways.

Nice homey feel. Well stocked with necessities and property owner was just a phone call away, but we didnt need to call. Everything was great. The only item not a 5* was cleanliness and thst was because in the smaller cottage the floors seemed a little dirty.

It was a perfect spot on the water with young kids. Our kiddos could wade in the lake with their water shoes and play in the stones on the shore. Very clean, cozy, quaint, and comfortable. Nothing fancy about it, but who needs fancy when you’re on Keuka Lake? Rusticana had everything we needed, and it was a wonderful week.

This place was perfect. This has been one of our best family vacations! The location was great and the lake was beautiful. The boats and paddle boards were a lot of fun. It is such a bonus to be one the water and not have to deal with steps. The parking is convenient as well, I noticed that most places do not have ample parking. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The smaller house was cool too. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a relaxing vacation on the lake!

We loved our stay at the Rusticana. It was a lovely place that was so clean and you could tell the owners have been updating every area. We loved how the lake was right there with space for the kids to play. Their highlight was fishing off the dock. My 7 year old said “ this is the best hotel we have stayed in”. We had 10 people and there was plenty of space. One family stayed in the smaller house. We had a lovely time. As I wake up a week later today I wished I was there this morning! The sunsets were great as well as the people we met on our walk. Fun fun!

Rusticana was perfect for our friends and family fall trip! This was our second time visiting and it was just as beautiful as the first. Ann was amazing to work with, the houses were super clean, and the watercrafts got a lot of use. I would highly suggest visiting and we will likely be back again someday.

As our Framily (the Rin-We's) has grown it was nice to have the Cottage for our young adult kids to stay in. The house was stocked with everything we needed and very comfy and clean.
It was a bonus not to have to got out and get wood for the fire as the wood was provided for you! We enjoyed our 13 year of vacationing in the Finger Lakes on our Columbus Day long weekend!

This is an amazing property for us. We just love this place. This was our second stay. Both times have been a wonderful experience.
Everything you could need is provided. Fully stocked kitchen. Plenty of towels and bed coverings. So many outdoor and water items.
The property owners are very quick to respond to any questions you may have.
Overall, just a great little place.
Can't wait to visit again.

This place came with everything! Kitchen was fully stocked, plenty of cleaning and bathroom supplies, games for children, outdoor water toys for young and old, and plenty of firewood for camp fires. The camps were clean and bright. The multiple air conditioners came in handy on hot days! The multiple camps were also great when people wanted to get away for some quiet time. The smaller camp did get a little warm on the hot days when the portable unit struggled to keep up, but it did cool off at night when the sun went down.
We had great weather so we spent most of our time outside. We drove around the entire lake one day visiting a couple wineries and breweries. Took a drive to Watkins Glen State Park another day, and rode bikes too. The water was warm enough to swim and take all the different boats that were provided out a bunch of times. We fed a nice family of ducks that came by each day.
The camp is right in the water, so you don't have to cross the street and go down a bunch of stairs to get there. This is great for people with younger children!
Overall, a great place and we look forward to returning in the future!

Great view, right on the water, very relaxing, and worked well for a multiple family gathering. And Keuka lake is not as big nor busy as some of the other Finger Lakes – didn't feel overrun by motor boats or their noise. Only 5 miles from Hammondsport, so getting supplies isn't too difficult.

We had a great time. The kids ages 6, 7 and 9 loved kayaking and playing games. Having two separate buildings was nice for different sleep schedules. We brought our own food and the kitchen had all we needed to prepare meals. Being right next to the beach was awesome.

It's a beautiful house with a cottage along side, lots of room inside, and your right by the water, a very relaxing time.

Nice house on the lake for a family vacation. Has a separate 2 bedroom cozy cottage that worked out great for family members to have an area for children. It is about 5 miles from Hammondsport, close to Watkins Glen and Corning Museum. My family had a wonderful time. I especially liked the lake view and going kayaking on the lake. Everything was clean and bath towels were provided.

Great stay. Not super fancy which was OK with us. And the view! Spectacular!

The property is as described. The small cottage is a bit older and can be described as charming and vintage. Makes you think this is what it must have been like before all the newer and big homes were built.. The cottage did get very hot during the day. A portable air conditioner is provided but it has to work hard to cool. Portable heaters are also provided. We needed those as well due to some cold nights. Great for an outdoor fire. Fire wood provided. The main house is newer and updated. Many amenities including sheets, pristine white towels, all cookware, spices, books, games, and outdoor toys. (Kayak, canoe, paddle boat). We had some changing weather. Location can’t be beat. Shade is limited so expect much sun as home is on east side of lake. Great sunsets. East lake road is great for walking or biking with much shade. Friendly neighbors. Lake was great for boating. The only negative is that there is no longer a boat launch available in Hammondsport.Had to drive up to Penn Yan to launch and that is a long boat ride down the lake. Overall, great week with family. Would definitely stay again. Thank you..

Easy check in and parking. Beautiful property sitting at the lake and with very kind sharing of watercrafts. Kitchen and bathrooms with all amenities ever needed. We only left to do a trail at Watkins Glenn but other than that, for a 2 year old, a four month old and the rest of the family, we had an amazing time!

Very nice area. Loved sitting by the water and chilling. Great time.

This is direct access to the lake and in a beautiful area. The site is amazing and lake view is one of the best. The owners are amazing and very helpful with anything we needed. They were very concerned that our needs were taken care of. They have put a lot into this property and it has everything on would need. Love it

A restful stay in a cozy, well-kept cottage. The owner was helpful and available with a couple of questions I had. The weather was great. The one surprise: Hammondsport restaurants are only open on weekends until Memorial day.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Excellent location. Exactly what we needed for our relaxing fun weekend. Property wasn’t fancy but it was very clean, comfortable, met all our needs and sat right on the lake.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Rusticate. Just a couple of miles out of the quiet town of Hammondsport, we found the location perfect. We had two dogs with us so we needed pet friendly and this was great. They enjoyed jumping around in the water. We found many pet friendly breweries and wineries so touring was easy. We came back to the cottage each night and prepared dinner in the well equipped kitchen and enjoyed a campfire on the final night. It was a relaxing time and we hope to do it again.

Easy to book. Quick responses from owners. Beautiful and clean home. Wonderful to have fire pit area and paddle boat/kayak to use. Close to shopping and wineries.

My family and I had a very relaxing stay at Rusticana. We enjoyed being right on the lake and were able to successfully fish off the dock. There were plenty of games to play for the kids when it was raining and the internet worked great for their virtual learning to continue. The fire pit was great for making s’mores. My kids loved the ducklings that greeted us when we went outside. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

With our friends having a dog it’s more difficult to find a place to stay, but this home was just perfect. We are already hoping to make it back again next year, loved everything about our stay!

Cozy, clean, extremely well equipped with kitchen gadgets, food prep, food storage. EVerything was so convenient: Great for our 2 dogs (14 month old and 12 year old choc labs) who love the water. Also, the quiet no traffic road was perfect for walking the dogs and taking a walk. The Adirondack chairs and fire pit with endless supply of dry firewood were great. Outstanding location - easy access with 1/2 flight of steps from road and to water. Ample parking enabled our 2 grown children to visit from other areas of NY for a couple of days. Conveniently located for a day trip to Watkins Glen (less than 1/2 hour), so many wineries, and less than 10 minute drive to downtown Hammondsport. We are avid cyclists, so being able to just hop on the bike and immediately start riding with so many route options was great. cycling views around the lake were stunning. Would definitely come again! Pet fri

The house is right on the lake. It had everything we needed and more. The owners are so easy to reach and helped us learn the area. The beds are comfy. It was a great place to relax and near wineries museums and beautiful views. Sorry we did not stay two weeks

The large, natural beach is a big plus. The parking is excellent. There are stairs, but only a few and not steep. And, the view from the deck is marvelous. The cottage is well appointed with the necessities.
The property owners are very kind, considerate and very fast at responding to any requests or questions.
We enjoyed our stay.

Spot is beautiful. On a quiet road perfect for bike rides and walking. We enjoyed boating, swimming and eating on the porch watching the sunset. The house is rustic as described, but I looked forward to returning whenever we went out. Beds were comfortable, kids were happy. Communication was great. Loved having our dog there.

The month of September at Rusticana was not long enough. My cousin and I felt at home immediately. Even on the occasional rainy day, the sliding glass doors allowed us to watch the rain and fog over the lake......beautiful. We loved the deck from coffee in the morning to wine/beer before dinner.........while cooking on the grill. Our 2 small dogs loved running on the beach and also walks on the low road. Besides the comfort of Rusticana, the area offers so much to do.......Corning Museum, wineries, breweries, good restaurants, browsing and shopping in small neighboring towns, and hiking, to name a few. The Evangelists family was available for any problems, but we had none. I would highly recommend Rusticana. It's a gem.

Our family (4 couples, 3 children) had a wonderful stay at Rusticana. Access was easy and both cottages were cozy and comfortable. We especially loved the pedal boat, beachfront, meals on the deck and fire pit. The kitchen had everything we needed and there were plenty of towels for everyone. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!
