We had a lovely time visiting the island and having the beach right in front of the house was amazing. The property staff were very responsive.

Pros: Great View from that porch! Everything you need in the kitchen, comfy bed. Beach is fantastic, pretty much all to ourselves. Resorts and their amenities a walk away if needed. Pictures shown are all accurate. Wonderful staff.
Cons: As addressed in prior posts, security awareness is required. Alarms must be set whenever you leave the space and when you retire at the end of the day. Fabulous beach chairs must be broken down and locked up when leaving the beach to grab lunch or take a break from the sun. Renter must sign an agreement holding them responsible for any loss caused by negligence regarding security requirements.
This is a beautiful island, and The Bite is a fabulous getaway. Wish we had more time to investigate the smaller islands, perhaps on our next visit!

the view from the upper deck to the water was amazing. I loved the groomed tropical garden/mature atmosphere. The swimming pool was a bonus/very clean. Also an amazing view of the pathway to the beach from the living room/dining area. excellent proximity from airport, restaurants and grocery store

Private Paradise
My husband and I stayed here Dec 23-Jan 1st. We were looking for a more private property than a resort given Covid. This was perfect - beautiful beach views and quite beach time. Loved being within walking distance of great snorkeling. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners and their lovely daughter and appreciate them asking everyday how can we make it a better experience. They really want the bests for their renters. We appreciate some of the subtle touches such as providing a cooler to take down to the beach, beach chairs and umbrella. Natalie who welcomed us took great care of us during the week. I look forward to returning here.

Great and Unique .
I would like to return to Villa Camilla. It's exceptional.
The bath and kitchen are dated and you will probably hear dogs barking at night, but these are inconsequential compared to the natural beauty, great views, and perfect location on Grace Bay.
I loved having the privacy, the beautiful gardens, and a sandy path walk to the beach. As you arrive at the beach, you will find adjacent resorts with lined up chairs, conversely, you will unlock a provided lounge chair and place it anywhere along the large span of beachfront belonging to the villa.
There is a nearby bar and restaurant, SomeWhere, which is fun and reasonable.
Lastly, the staff and the owners are very helpful and friendly.

The Camilla Villa is a beautiful property and it felt super safe to stay in. It was beach front with about a 2 minute walk. For the price it was PERFECT. We stayed upstairs so you can see the amazing view of the beach. That beach is beautiful, clear waters perfect for snorkeling and lots of activities to do, parasailing, sail boating, etc. The only reason why we gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the alarm of their next door villa kept going off around 1am for 3 nights in a row.

Carol and I had a fantastic time at Villa Camilla. Thank you Beth and Jade for making our stay so wonderful. Villa Camilla is in the best location in Provo. The house is private and let’s you really enjoy your vacation. The private pool and the closeness to the beach is amazing. One minute I am snorkeling the next eating lunch at the house just enjoying the view. We hope to return soon. Thank You

Beauty and Privacy Steps from the Beach
Such a beautiful, quaint property with lush foliage and privacy. We enjoyed all the amenities to cook our own meals while enjoying the view from the property. The proximity to the beach is unmatched. A true home away from home with everything you need to enjoy your vacation with peace and privacy. Would recommend to everyone that wants to visit!

First time in 25+ years my wife wishes to come back to a beach location for vacation
The property is nestled between two major resorts Beaches and Wymarra on Grace Bay so you know location is very good and since our first time on the island felt safer. After 14 days can definitely say we felt safe everywhere on the island. This is not a new property and as such the decor is a bit dated but candidly it did not matter to us as everything we needed was there including for cooking as we ate home all the time and enjoyed the balcony with quiet nature oceanfront view for eating all the time including using the small BBQ available. What put us at ease quickly is that there was an issue with the beautiful garden surrounded pool and the owners addressed very quickly. The maintenance staff including for the gardens, pool and weekly cleaning were all pleasant and discreet. We would have preferred an onsite small safe for some of our valuables but the hidden compartment alternative worked out. The WIFI was very uneven possibly hampered by the presence of many onsite WIFI cameras taking bandwidth. This was fine for social media but uneven to watch video. There are free roaming dogs on the island and some that roam around but they never bothered us aside of two nights when they were playing under our bedroom window chasing each other. AC was present in the bedroom but never used it as relied instead on overhead fan and supplemental portable fan. Access to thew property is with lock codes and the alarm system from our unit worked well. We triggered it by accident once by walking back from the pool going through the floor unit deck. Otherwise it never got triggered needlessly and the one time at the beginning when I messed up the numbers talking to the alarm company was easy. There were long chairs locked at the beach for us and there was an umbrella available but with the winds sometimes portable umbrellas were useless. Walking proximity to two small reefs available from the beach was a big plus for us. The beach is pristine with no algaes but also no waves. The sunsets every night were wonderful. The pool surrounded by natural garden for shading was very enjoyable when we wanted to recover from sun at the beach. Condo is central on the island and enjoyed additional wonderful beaches at each end of the island. We plan to come back which I guess is the best recommendation possible

A little rustic, but comfortable
For those that want a beach vacation, it is in a good location on Grace Bay beach. It is located about 100-120 yards down a somewhat rocky and lumpy walk to the beach. The beach has some seaweed washed up unlike the condos and places next door that clean the beach. Chairs are available, locked up so you do have to bring them from that section to the beach. No umbrellas nor bathroom facilities are available on the beach. Once you get to the beach you can rent snorkel gear from a stand near the condos next door. Nice reef that you can easily access.
Water was warm but can be choppy on windy/rainy days.
The upstairs guest house is exactly as pictured, small kitchen (non stick pans need to be replaced) but otherwise adequately stocked with dishes, living area, (replacing ceiling fan would make a HUGE difference in the airflow), TV has NETFLIX available to watch on those raining evenings, upstairs loft only accessed by a ladder. Decent size bedroom with comfortable bed, small ceiling fan that does not generate much air as we would have liked. Bathroom is adequate. Upper deck patio is great to sit out in the AM and PM, lizards seems to do a great job on keeping away much of the bugs. Master bedroom has a window A/C unit that makes things comfortable to sleep and the box fan provided was also very helpful on cooling down the room/unit. Plenty of towels, could have used more dish washing soap. The small pool is nice, although murky when arrived cleaned up quickly when we mentioned it. Pool chaise cushions are a little worn. There was no one using the unit below, so that may change the dynamic if there is someone there. We had a couple issues with the smoke detector going off, once at 3:45 AM. We also had a issue with the unit alarm but once we figured out the timing etc, it was fine. Front gate was temperamental but with 2 different boxes to use we made it work. We did not see a recycle bin outside until the last day, and wished we had known and recycled.
Need a car - easy drive to the IGA and restaurants on the island.
Decent place for beach lovers.

A Beach and Nature Lovers Dream
Villa Camilla is a beautiful place - our family of four stayed in the Upper Guest House for 10 days in April and we loved it! The guest house is bright and clean and we especially enjoyed sitting out on the porch, enjoying the tropical breeze and the stunning ocean view! The villa’s location right on the beach was perfect and we enjoyed many long walks and sunsets! Snorkelling at the Bight/Coral Gardens reef next door and Smiths Reef nearby was spectacular - many colourful fish and coral, spotted eagle rays, green and hawksbill sea turtles. The gardens at Villa Camilla are beautiful - Edson and staff are doing a wonderful job of tending the gardens, which are thriving. We enjoyed cooling off in the pool and watching the resident green heron (we named her Grace) who was often poolside, along with the many other birds attracted to the property, including a night heron (we named Camilla) who visited each evening. While the villa is accessible to restaurants and shopping, and the weekly fish fry, the property still felt secluded and safe. Provo is a beautiful island with many things to do. We enjoyed an eco kayak trip to the mangroves and Little Water Cay with Big Blue Collective, horseback riding in the ocean with Provo Ponies, and walking a potcake puppy at Potcake Place - all were nearby (we recommend renting a car). Our visit to Villa Camilla couldn’t have been better!

Breath taking view and fabulous location!
We totally enjoyed our stay at Villa Camilla!! The location of this property is amazing and the ocean view from the deck is just breath taking!!! The owners were wonderful to work with!! The property manager, Jade, was so helpful and welcoming. During the day if you have any questions or need any help on the property just ask Edson, he's always happy to help! We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to TCI.
The only reason for the 4 star instead of 5 star rating is that there were a few housekeeping things that could be improved upon. We sent an email concerning this and I'm sure that it will be improved upon. ; )

Beautiful view of Grace Bay
So glad we stayed at Villa Camilla during our trip to the Turks. The Villa was very private and surrounded by a lush tropical garden. It has its own pool with lounging area, perfect for a good book. It was a short walk to one of the smaller barrier reef where we saw a huge variety of fish, a couple of sea turtles, a large sting ray and a five foot barracuda as well as several types of coral. Enjoyed our day excursion to the third largest reef but actually did not see as much there. The villa provides a full kitchen and outdoor grill, so we were able to cook a lot of our meals. It is in walking distance to several restaurants and Bight Beach for the Thursday night fish fry.

Nice Option to all inclusive
Villa Camilla was a great option to paying the very high cost of the all inclusives that are on either side of the property. The privacy of this place is what is the most attractive part about it. Plus you can walk right out onto the beach with your morning coffee or evening cocktail. Beth was very good with answering questions up to our arrival. Jade, her associate on the island took over once we were there. It was all very seamless and easy. The grocery store is about a mile away and we were able to stock up for the week with one trip. We did eat out a bit at the great restaurants in the area too. Jade is the "go to" for that info. Things we did were:
Learned to Kite Surf / rented SUP/Kayaks / Robert and Annet: 649-231-5483
Had a private cruse w/ lunch / Jet Skied / Parasailed/Snorkeled: Jean: 649-247-6979
Rented nice road bikes
enjoyed the nice pool out of our back door. Beth has a wonderful garden surrounding the place. Would definitely come back.

Well-maintained, well secured, absolutely beautiful views, great management.
We had an absolutely beautiful vacation and got to extend it two days due to the weather in the Northeast. This place was just lovely. It gave us the privacy we love but it was nestled in between other resorts that allowed us to walk the beach and have great food and drink at nearby Resorts. The security system was easily managed. The people on the island are honest and friendly. We felt very safe.
Jade was very accommodating and helpful with any questions or needs. She gave us great advice on places to go and each place was better than the next. This island is a special place and Villa Camilla Was a great choice for our vacation. If i could give it 10 stars I would. We will be back

This is SUREAL
My impression of this property is simply frightening. I read the reviews of occupancy when we booked and felt that there might be some concern about security but it had been mitigated by installing appropriate alarms.
Well, as my wife stated in a previous review, there were plenty of alarms. We endured a total of 10 blasting security alarms, one lasting for more than 90 minutes during our visit to "tranquility." Real concern or not?
I am incensed that the owner would label us as some kind of nut cases and lie about facts. Apparently "alternative facts" are now the standard. We endured an entire night without sleep because the adjacent unit had the TV blasting at full volume for whatever reason when unoccupied. This was in addition to the random security alarms.
This is a beautiful property on a beautiful island, but good luck trying to sleep or even enjoy a peaceful day.

Great location and grounds
My wife and I had a great 6 days, the view is great, the beach is close and the grounds are
very nice. You are very close to everything but in our opinion you still need a car to see the island as taxis are so expensive.
4.5
The location of this property is just lovely and access to Grace Beach could not be better. However, what we had expected was 'peace and tranquility' as advertised for the unit. Instead, we listened to the alarm system go off at least 10 times for extended periods of time without explanation as to why it had been triggered. There are 2 other units rented, so perhaps other renters set off the alarm system, but nonetheless, listening to the alarm was disturbing, especially during the early morning hours. But of particular concern, was an 18 hour interval of the TV from the downstairs unit blasting out at maximum volume. We assumed the occupants were just deaf and stayed up all night. It was not until the next morning, that we realized the unit was unoccupied. (one could not explore what was going on, since such an action would have set off the alarm system) SInce the property manager did not return phone calls, we used email communication to express our concerns with the never ending noise. Much to our disappointment, we never heard back from the property manager or the owner, nor did anyone offer explanation for these concerns. Upon checkout, the property manager expressed her regret for the noise, which was the first time we had contact with her since check in. Since I was telecommuting during the stay, I was present in the unit most of the time, so perhaps if one did not have to spend much time in the unit, the entire experience could have been more pleasant...and quiet...if excursions outside of the unit were taken to a quieter locale. Despite my attempt to reach out to the owner on multiple occasions, I never received a response back, which for us, was the most disappointing aspect of this stay: an owner who just doesn't care.

The instructions for arrival were clear. Linda, the owners representative met us on arrival and gave us a clear introduction to the property. She returned the following day to ensure we had settled in. We had a few issues with the alarm system and Linda always answered my calls immediately and solved the problems (not major). The property was clean and nicely presented on arrival. The midweek housekeeping was really thorough and the property looked beautify after the very thorough clean.
We loved the wonderful air movement through the property and the great views from the upper deck. We had booked both upper and lower apartments. The little pool was great and used by all our grandchildren every day. I had a private swimming tutor visit every day and learnt to swim in the pool.
We have family on the island and so the island as such is not our reason for visiting, the fact that our family could come and visit us very day was a really important factor. With family we are a group of eleven and tend to self-cater so eating out venues don't really figure in our rating of a property.
If I could change one thing I would provide a teapot and teacosy, making tea in the coffee flask just doesn't cut it for a Brit!

We just got home from Providenciales. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Villa Camilla upper guest house apartment. The house is located right above the beach between Coral Gardens and The Beach House. It's about 100 yards walk across the property to the beach,. Another 150 yards to the right to Bight Reef snorkeling area and the Somewhere Cafe/Bar. You can walk for miles in either direction on probably the most beautiful beach that I have ever seen. Tour boats will pick you up on your beach for an outing. Walking distance to the Thursday night Fish Fry. It is centrally located for exploring the rest of the island, if you have a car. The view from the upper apartment living room and deck is breathtaking. The house is very open and airy. The interior has not been updated in a while, but everything was neat, clean, functional and comfortable. The loft area would be best for kids. Climbing the ladder after a few rum punches might not be wise! The guest house is on a very large lot with good separation from the main house. It has a it's own gorgeous manicured tropical garden around a very nice dipping pool. You have your own private oasis. We had excellent service from Linda Nayton, the TCI Blue property manager. She was prompt, responsive, friendly and gave us great tips on things to do, restaurants, etc. In addition to a home security alarm service, we had two very nice gentlemen, Edson by night, and Clotier, the gardener, by day, for security and any other assistance needed. They were working out the bugs on a new peripheral alarm system. We felt safe and sound at all times. I did a lot of research, and Villa Camilla is an incredible value for a beachfront property in Providenciales. Highly recommend.

Villa CRIME-illa
Two crimes in 5 days! We had $1,000 worth of diving gear and shoes stolen from the guesthouse patio our first night there. No the alarm wasn’t on, and yes my wife actually saw the man on the patio. He had a towel over his head so the security camera would have been useless. And if the alarm would have gone off he probably still would have taken the stuff. Why would I say that? Five nights later the alarm went off at the vacant main house at 4 am, and the criminals still spent enough time there cutting through the bathroom window and taking away the TV before the police came.
The owner describes security below on the Jan 19, 2016 entry as “gated car and pedestrian entrances and a living fence of Spanish bayonet plants.” Such nonsense. What good is a gate if a person/criminal can simply walk around it, through the plants? The gates were locked when we were there. Our stuff, the TV, and the criminals simply went around the gates and through the plants. Does that make you feel secure?
This place is ideal for criminals to hit. Public access on both sides of the property, thick vegetation for the criminals to hide in, and a quick get away on the main road. The public beach access adjacent to the east is overflowing with litter. The nearby resorts keep their beachfronts clean, but this villa lies between them in an area unpatrolled and unclean. While there we were told about some women being robbed walking the beach at night back to the nearby Gansevoort. Were they robbed in this unpatrolled area? Don’t know, but it scared us enough to not go on the beach at night.
The air conditioning never worked, in spite of multiple requests to have it fixed. So we spent our nights scared and hot.

We had a wonderful time at Villa Camilla. The location was great and provided plenty of privacy, only a 1 minute walk to the beach. Great sunsets from the deck. The property was clean and well maintained, the gardens are beautiful. The Somewhere Café is only a short walk along the beach and one can rent snorkel gear from the shop next door at Coral Gardens. Great snorkeling at the reef in front of Coral Gardens. We would highly recommend taking the half day snorkel trip with Island Vibes tours. They pick you in their boat right at the beach. Plenty of great restaurants within a 10 minute drive of the property. We took a day trip to Sapodilla Bay, it's a little hard to find the entrance but it's worth it, stunning blue water. On the way back we stopped at Bugaloo's for lunch on the beach. We would definitely return to Villa Camilla.

Just wanted to let you know that we deeply enjoyed our stay last week at your guesthouse villa. My wife was in tears when we left. We will definitely be back in the future as we want our daughters to experience the island. I find myself now desiring to go nowhere in the Caribbean but Provo - the island has perfect weather, water, sand, people and relaxing feel. You are very blessed to have the property you have, thank you for allowing us to share your paradise.

We had an amazing time at Villa Camilla. We felt very safe with the gates and felt so secluded on the private property. It was nice having a little pool to hang at when it was a bit too windy on the beach. Short walk down to the beach and Coral Gardens (snorkeling) we didn't receive a mid week cleaning or fresh beach towels and had to ask for fresh bath towels several days in, but other than that, it's a fantastic place to stay! Great location, right next door to Somewhere Cafe, beach was quiet. Had a lot in the kitchen to use, as well as a small cooler for the beach. We would definitely recommend and go back!

Villa Camilla Guest House is a wonderful, quiet, little spot tucked away amidst the busy island life of Provo.
The listing did accurately portray the unique ambiance of a "quite place away" -
The property was clean and well-maintained - the local staff was very helpful -
I would definitely recommend Villa Camilla to my friends -
I biked every morning and rested in the afternoon sun on the "backyard" beach -
There are many wonderful restaurants nearby in a variety of price ranges -
I had a fabulous week at Villa Camilla Guest House

My husband and I spent 6 nights at Villa Camilla. The location is a perfect match for someone looking for the best combination of seclusion and of access to tourist activities, dining, and shopping. Between the good snorkeling steps from the house and the grand view from the balcony, we found staying in kept us plenty occupied. Other days we went out to explore the island. We made a day of Middle Caicos, which I highly recommend. Really no need to involve a tour company for Middle. We just rented a car and used the map to get around, which was very easy. The kitchen is sufficiently stocked with all cooking utensils needed. Take note that there is not a spice to be found...not even salt and pepper. I must say I was a bit worried about security after reading another review and with so much emphasis being placed on securing the premises with guards and alarms, but we always felt quite safe.
4.5
We had an amazing week in the upper level of the guest cottage at Villa Camilla. The location is fantastic, effectively on a private stretch of Grace Bay beach to one side of all the resorts. Clean, simple but well appointed, and with incredible all day all night cross breezes - never needed the AC. We cooked in and had everything we needed, and went out and found great restaurants nearby. (Tiki Hut and Da Conch Shack were old favourites, but new discoveries included Somewhere, Mis Amigos and Bugaloos.) We were a little worried about sharing the guest cottage with the downstairs apartment, but the spaces are separate enough for it to feel private. The owners included a really well thought out welcome package of directions and recommendations, and the property management folks were very friendly and helpful.
4.5
Villa Camilla is lovely, quiet and secluded. It is a private oasis in the middle of the more populated area of Grace Bay Beach....allowing for proximity to restaurants and stores. Not fancy or ostentatious but clean, nice and everything you need! A short walk out your door brings you to your own beach with gorgeous soft white sand and magnificent clear water! The snorkeling is easy on the reef right off the beach but not quite as wonderful as we had hoped. Big Blue was wonderful for Kayak and biking trips. Provo Ponies horses are well behaved and very beginner safe (advanced riders can canter if they want). We thoroughly enjoyed our week! Thanks to Larry and Beth for their hospitality!
