A PREMIER HOME IN THE HERITAGE VACATION HOMES COLLECTION.
As we were remodeling The House at Arch Cape, we had a hunch it was going to be a special place. Even still, we’ve been overwhelmed (and overjoyed) by the positive response from our guests! Favorite features include the chef-quality kitchen, hillside ocean views, and local art throughout, including a spectacular 10-ft. whale sculpture in the living area. Guests also love Arch Cape itself, which is less crowded than (but easily accessible to) the nearby beach towns of Cannon Beach and Manzanita.
Bring a whole pack of your favorite people—there’s room for 14!—and start collecting memorable moments on the Oregon coast. Multi-generational family reunions, in particular, find the perfect setting here. Begin the day with a sunny pancake breakfast in the state-of-the-art kitchen (with Wolf range, Viking fridge and two Miele dishwashers). Then end it with stargazing on the deck to a soundtrack of the ocean.
In fact, the Pacific is the backdrop for your entire vacation at The House at Arch Cape. Say “hello” to the sea as soon as you step inside—the two-story ocean view through the Great Room windows is one of the best welcomes in the world.
Just to the north is Hug Point State Park with its playground of beach, tide pools, caves, waterfalls and hiking trails to explore.
Back at your beach house, paintings, photographs, sculptures, and wood carvings showcase local talent (and local vistas) and bring the beauty of the area indoors. To complement the art, we used a light coastal color palette and a rich blend of woods, metals and fabrics in the décor.
The ocean views only get better out on the deck, where you’ll find a built-in, covered BBQ grill, prep station, and plenty of seating.
Work retreats find a great setting here, too. Brew a pot of coffee (or use the Keurig) and meet at the huge, rustic-minimalist dining table. You can also make use of the business center, which features a TV monitor with Bose sound for sharing, plus a wireless printer (also great for printing boarding passes). The loft also has a large TV for projecting slides, and feel free to move the furniture around to suit your needs!
BED & BATH
Each of the five bedrooms features a 30" Smart TV and Bose sound system. Every mattress was selected for comfort and wrapped in high-quality linens.
1) Lower Level Master: King bed. Ocean view. Sitting table. En-suite bath with custom-tiled shower and vanity + soaking tub.
2) Upper Level Master: King bed. Ocean view. Sitting table. En-suite bath with custom-tiled shower and vanity, separate W/C (bathroom has a second door from the hallway).
3) First Upper Level Bedroom: Queen bed. Built-in XL bunks with extra head space (strong enough for an adult to sleep in).
4) Second Upper Level Bedroom: Same setup as the other upper level bedroom—queen bed + XL bunk.
5) Third Upper Level Bedroom: Queen Bed, with bathroom at end of hallway that can become en-suite by closing a hallway door.
The loft area features two luxury American Leather sofa sleepers for extra guests.

Beach access is very convenient. A beautiful, high-quality and comfortable house.

The house is beautiful! We felt so lucky to have a week there. Never tired of the view. We had relatives nearby so each evening 14 adults and 6 grandchildren gathered for dinner. We had enough room & chairs. A bit of a yard would have gone a long way for our GKs aged 6 mo - 6 years, but we worked it out.

Our stay was wonderful! The host was very easy to communicate with and answered all questions promptly. The beach was very accessible for the grandkids and the grandparents. Loved the proximity to Haystack Rock and Oswald West State Park.
Our family has been vacationing at Cannon Beach for decades usually staying at Hallmark Resort. As our week came to a close all 14 of us agreed we’d prefer the house at Arch Cape over the resort for our next beach trip. We will be back. All of us brought home many treasured memories of our stay. Thanks for providing this lovely home away from home.

The extended family wanted to get together for a weekend. This house is absolutely perfect. There is plenty of space for everyone. The beach is a short walk away. We would love to stay here again!

Our family had a wonderful vacation along the Oregon coast. The Arch Cape property was the perfect home base for walks on the beach, trips to the Haystack Rock tide pools, and excursions to Tillamook and Seaside.

Our family decided to spend a weekend together for the first time ever - 3 siblings, 3 children, spouses, and grandchildren. It was the perfect location. Not only was The House at Arch Cape fabulous, with well-appointed rooms, but the proximity to Cannon Beach was perfect for our family needs. There were two great locations to hang out, so we were never crowded, and the house clearly not only slept 14 people, but was able to accommodate them for meals and entertainment, as well. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of modern, updated equipment and appliances. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

Just book it! Lara and Dennis's property is truly not to be missed! By far the best rental I've ever booked on the Oregon Coast (and I've booked a lot!) Sparkling clean from top to bottom, zero clutter, spectacular ocean views, THE most comfortable beds in ANY hotel or property I've stayed in, dialed in w the latest technology and appliances, I could go on and on. We stayed here for a mother/son weekend with our 15 year olds and everyone loved the house!
AND upon our return home, I received a "thank you for staying with us" package (mailed vis USPS) from Lara! A handwritten note, custom Arch Cape mug, and a gift certificate for an Oregon Coast print at a local gallery! That's never happened to me! Top to bottom, beginning to end, a truly perfect stay and experience. Trust me!

We have about 14 women (all related, sisters, in-laws etc) we have been doing this annual retreat for about 25 years and love it! This house was perfect for us. So close to the beach and Cannon Beach! Very clean and nicely decorated. Already booked next years getaway here again!

Beautiful home with amazing views and great for a multi family reunion.

We had our whole family together for the first time in two years and this house was perfect for our group of 8! Beautiful views, lots of space and clean. There were a couple small issues which Lara helped resolve. My only complaint is cleck-in isn’t until 5 pm. I’ve never stayed at a place with such a late check in time. We were all exhausted from early morning flights and really eager to get checked in but we had a few hours to kill. Besides that, it was a great home in a nice area. Arch Cape is our favorite area to stay!

This house was perfect for my annual family vacay. There were enough bedrooms & bathrooms for everyone, beautiful house with all the amenities and a great view. The beach was ideal! The location was close to fun activities and restaurants. We hated to leave and want to return!

Our family of 14 gather at the Oregon coast each year and have stayed in many VRBO homes . We all agree that the Arch Cape home is our favorite. Spacious, clean, and wonderfully updated along with perfect proximity to the almost private beach. We would certainly choose this house again.

We were a party of 8, ranging in age from 16-50. We traveled to Arch Cape from the Mt St Helen’s area. On our way to Arch Cape, we stopped in Astoria and found the Goonies house and jail. Then we traveled down the coast to Ecola State Park and followed the Crescent Trail down to Crescent Beach. The views were incredible, and we saw adolescent elk munching on grass and a puffin flying into a hole on one of the rocks. We hiked back to our car and took the short drive to Arch Cape. The home is spectacular. Definitely luxury, with a gourmet kitchen, beautiful bathrooms, and plenty of comfortable seating and beds, views that take your breath away, and it is just a short walk to the beach. On the beach, we saw sea anemones, fish, puffins, and a starfish. We’re from the east coast, so suffice to say it’s like no other beach we’ve walked. When we arrived, we had trouble with the lock. The owner was quick to respond and assist. Overall, we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

The view as you enter the foyer is astounding! Three generations shared a week long stay at Lara’s lovely home which is put together so beautifully. Well appointed kitchen, more than adequate towels and bedding for a large gathering. Our group of nine especially enjoyed being able to share meal times at a table large enough to seat all of us. The ping pong table was an added bonus. Lara was extremely responsive to all inquiries. On our next visit to the northern Oregon coast we can’t imagine looking elsewhere!

The house was wonderfully appointed for comfortable gathering. The living room and loft were favorite areas to read, sit and enjoy the view from. The shades were much needed for the random afternoon times when the sun decided to shine.
One thing to note is that things are very sparse and sanitized - maybe a good thing for some, but helpful to know ahead of time. No fridge or pantry items, no throw blankets, games or toys that some rentals provide. I found myself looking for basic things I didn’t think to bring and buying bandaids, scissors, instant read thermometer etc. However, plenty of ziplock, plenty of detergent, tp, paper towels, garbage baths and soaps provided, which I appreciated!
It was difficult to work the tv’s. Each tv had a bagful of remotes, which in itself was intimidating. I didn’t try to work the Bose system. The internet wasn’t good so that might have been part of the problem or maybe it was that our group had so many devices online that it overloaded. We ended up using our ipad with a hdmi cord to cast it onto the tv for movies.
The beach was wonderful and the path was super close and convenient. All in all it was a wonderful comfortable house and I would highly recommend it! Communication with Lara was excellent as well and she answered any of my questions quickly.

Staying at Lara’s home in Arch Cape was an absolute dream! Lara was incredibly responsive and kind, making the entire process seamless. The home itself was truly inviting and cozy, with beautiful decor and all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and memorable stay. The location was perfect for exploring the coast, with breathtaking views just steps away. We can't wait to go back and stay here again in the future.

The House of Arch Cape was perfect for our family Christmas vacation! The house allowed us to connect, share old and new memories, as well as relax! I highly recommend this property to everyone and anyone!

Eleven family members, aged 14 to 66, gathered at Arch Cape to celebrate Thanksgiving. The home is all that was advertised. The two ovens and two dishwashers, made prep and clean up for our big meals easy and convenient. The bedrooms were all large and very comfortable, allowing everyone their own space. Even though the weather was extraordinarily nice for November, we enjoyed the huge gas fireplace every single day. And night. It added so much ambiance. Our German exchange student had never seen the ocean, and when those window shades went up, his eyes got huge. The view is phenomenal! The only “negative” would be the parking. We all drive SUVs so the driveway was a little tight. However, with the ocean that close and the view so spectacular, we didn’t feel the need to drive anywhere! I would highly recommend this home at Arch Cape!

Ours was a group of 10 retired RNs, ages 75-80. The house was beautiful, well stocked, had everything we needed. Loved the two ovens and two dishwashers! More bedrooms on the main level would have better suited some, but we knew what was available when we rented it, so made it work just fine.

Great vacation at a great house
This beautiful home was perfect for our large group. There was plenty of space for all of us to spread out and it never felt crowded. Multiple dishwashers and laundry facilities came in really handy. Loved the quiet beach and proximity to Hug Point.

Better than ocean front!!
We had a large group for a family reunion so we rented this house and another one on the same street that was ocean front and we all agreed that the view from this house was better than the one that was ocean front because it is up on a little bit of a hill and the ocean front house had an overgrown hedge that blocked a lot of the view. The beach access was very convenient and the beach was incredible! Not crowded and fun for the kids to explore being so close to hug point. My son went out early one morning at low tide and found 32 sand dollars! The house was well stocked, beyond any vacation home I have ever rented. It’s pretty common for vacation homes not to provide things like hand soap, shampoo, dish detergent, laundry detergent or toilet paper but this house provides it all and not just a starter pack, but enough for the week. We loved having 2 dishwashers and two fridges. We loved our stay and would definitely rent again!

Great Stay in Arch Cape
We had a great time during our stay in Arch Cape. The house was beautiful, well maintained and well equipped with everything we needed. Beds are comfy! The view from the house is incredible, and the location is perfect as Arch Cape is just outside of Cannon Beach. It’s close enough to pop over for coffee in the morning, but just a little removed from all of the hustle & bustle. Be sure to go to the beach at low tide and check out the tide pools. We will be back the next time we are visiting!

Wonderful Stay
We had a wonderful stay at the House at Arch Cape. This beautiful home fit our group well. We were traveling with our adult children and a few young grandchildren. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our group of 11. The views were amazing from the house and the beach. The fireplace was enjoyed on some rainy days we had. We visit this area frequently and usually stay in Cannon Beach. This time we brought the family along and needed a larger place to gather. This was a great choice. We were close to Cannon Beach but really enjoyed the calm and quite of this area. The kitchen and home are well stocked with everything you need. Lara was very helpful when I had questions before our stay and was able to accommodate our request for and early check in. We hope to return for another visit!

Arch Cape does not disappoint!
Great views, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds. We had a great time walking the beach at low tide and enjoyed being able to see the beach from the comfort of the living room when it was raining. Overall our trip was the best and this home made it extra special.

Family Birthday Celebration
The home at Arch Cape was perfect! The entire family enjoyed the amazing view and sunsets. The dining table was large enough for all 14 of us to sit around, the kitchen well stocked. Also we had plenty of tables for our "pitch" tournament. Plenty of beds, and they were all comfortable! We had great weather, 60+ degrees, no wind, my 90 year old father walked from the home to Hug Pointe, then I went and got the car and picked him up. :) Great walks on the beach, we had a low tide that allowed us to see star fish, mussels and play in tidal pools. I highly recommend this home for 10-14 family/friend gatherings, it's lovely and you will not be disappointed.

So beautiful!
We rented this beautiful place for our families to celebrate a 50th birthday. We had ages 1 to 50 with us and the home could not have been better for us. Fully stocked with the necessities plus a few extras. Lara was very friendly and thorough with communication and instructions. 10/10, we'll be back!

Amazing Views, Amazing Comfort
Incredible home with the living space to easily accommodate 8 adults. Kitchen was perfect for group dinners and breakfast, with all of the equipment needed. The views are spectacular. Cozy living room and fireplace, perfect for having wine, chatting, playing cards, and taking in the view. Really top notch, and one of those "most memorable" trips I have had as a celebration of my 50th Birthday

Family retreat
Fantastic views, wonderful kitchen, loved the two dishwashers, lots of room for the grandkids to play, top notch but practical, Lara always communicated right away to our questions, beautiful beach to walk and have bonfires on. You can even walk to Hug Point in low tide…..lots of good memories were made❣️

This was our 35th year vacationing on the Oregon coast. The first time at The House at Arch Cape. Spacious, well-equipped home, great view of the ocean, easy access to the beach made our week!

A perfect getaway place for a big family
We frequently take our large family to resort destinations where we rent one home. The Home at Arch Cape is the best we have experienced. The home is clean, well furnished, well equipped, amply supplied and wonderfully close to an almost private beach. We were sorry to leave.

Wonderful home, wonderful beach wonderful owners
This was one of our favorite vacations, the house was beautiful and it was stocked with all you need, paper goods towels, a complete kitchen. I would recommend this home to anyone. I did not even touch on the beautiful beach. Peace

Family gathering to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary.
The House at Arch Cape was the perfect place for us to host our family reunion. Our group of 11 agreed it was the best vacation home we have ever rented! There was plenty of space to be together, and the bathrooms and bedrooms provided exquisite private space. The view of the ocean from the house was to die for, and the hosts thought of everything with respect to providing the best in the way of amenities. Two dishwashers, two ovens, two washers/dryers, two refrigerators, a wonderful range in the kitchen, a wonderful outdoor grill, and just a few steps down to the beach all made for a wonderful week. The parking instructions seemed a bit daunting at first, but upon arrival it was very clear how and where the cars should be parked, and we appreciated the clear instructions. Lara was extremely responsive both before and during our stay with respect to answering questions. We departed with lots of family photos and happy memories. It was a wonderful week at The House at Arch Cape and one that will be long and fondly remembered. Thanks, Lara!

Pre - 50th Wedding anniversary Family reunion
What can I say about this property? It was everything promised and more so. Probably the two worst things are that i had to stretch to reach the beer steins, and it was a long walk to the water’s edge when the tide was out. Seriously, everything there was top notch. We had a party of 11, 6 adults, 4 children and one infant, and we had everything that we needed, and more so. The two living areas made it very nice if some folks wanted to talk or read and some wanted to watch tv. All of the bedrooms were excellent, and the kids loved the rooms with the bunk beds. Having one full en-suite bathrooms, two partial en-suite and an entry/mud room bathroom made everything very easy. Every room had its own TV and bluetooth sound system, which the kids loved, and the WiFi was just what we needed. NETFLIX on the system was a nice addition. We ended up dong most of our cooking on the built in outdoor grill, with an amazing view of the beach as we cooked. There was everything that we needed in the kitchen and more so. Very good proximity to Cannon Beach and Seaside, but easy to “get home” to the peace and quiet. The beach is lovely and uncrowded. We would definitely recommend this to anyone seeking a getaway. It is well worth the cost.

Excellent house with beautiful view and location on Arch Cape.
The house is beautifully laid out and has very well thought out all the little things you'd need for a great stay. It is immaculate. The views are stunning and it is truly just a few steps from the beach.

Beautiful coastal property!
My boyfriend and I stayed here over the Christmas holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace and view of the ocean from both living rooms. This house is exactly as described, beautiful, immaculately clean, and in a perfect location on Arch Cape! Communication with Lara was clear and speedy. I'd love to come again for a relaxing stay!
