Spectacular sunrises and sunsets from back deck/yard.
Peaceful private location. We had fun exploring the beautiful surrounding areas, as well as the local winery and brewery. Farm stands and bakery stands nearby. Autumn is a great and responsive host.

We truly had one of the best vacations! The open area made it very easy for all of us to be together with plenty of room to spread out. The sunsets and sunrise views from the dock were spectacular. Kitchen was very well supplied with plenty of dishes, silverware and pots/pans. I would highly suggest going 1/4 mile down the road to the local smoked meat store and grab yourself some brisket too! Thanks Autumn!

My family stayed at this place for a week in July. Every sunset that we saw was stunning and we thoroughly enjoyed eating dinners on the deck while we watched nature’s show. My children enjoyed the paddle board, kayak, canoe, and hammock, and there was plenty to do inside on the rainy days. Autumn was very easy to communicate with, and our stay was very enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again!

The house has a great layout with a large, open living/dining space. The younger kids enjoyed having a large room with 3 single beds and a TV. The kitchen is equipped with everything you’ll need to cook meals.
Each day, we would drive about 25 minutes to interesting spots in the area. Try Seb’s in South Hero, Au Sable Chase in NY and Montréal.

Perfect house for family of 8, spacious and great place to hang out. Explored the area Goodsell Ridge, Alburgh, Montreal, South Hero- it was all beautiful. Stopped at the little store on the island and the brewery, Kraemer & Kin. Had mounds of snow and then clear skies for the eclipse! It is a great house for a relaxing get away.

With two families of four looking to get back to Vermont for a summer getaway, this was perfect! Right on the water and with plenty of space, we were happy to have a peaceful retreat. Close enough that we could even take a trip into Burlington. Would absolutely stay here again!

This is our second year staying at this VRBO property. The owner was more than accommodating and was prompt in answering all of my questions. We stayed a week and loved every day that we were there. Our stay was aided by the fully stocked kitchen, very comfortable living and bedrooms, and it was spotlessly clean. Thanks again for allowing us to stay there.

The house and location were perfect. The fishing in the area was fantastic. It would have been better with a boat dock to tie to but anchoring off the buoy was fine. Loading and unloading of the boats were easy with the boat ramp so close to the house.
The sunsets and sunrises in the backyard were spectacular.
The plumbing in the upstairs bathroom needs work. The shower did not function.
Overall we enjoyed our stay immensely.
We broke a lower drawer on the fridge when a tub of butter fell off the top shelf. We ordered a new drawer for the fridge but need an address to send it to.
Thanks Autumn

Our family (2 adults, 3 kids, 1 dog) loved our stay at this great Isle La Motte house. The lake views were amazing and serene. We saw both the beautiful sunset and sunrises from the shoreline. The house was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The property was well maintained with lovely gardens. We enjoyed swimming and kayaking in the lake , seeing the 480 million year old fossils on the island's two preserves, stopping at farm stands for fresh tomatoes, corn, and pies, playing at Alburg Dunes state park (10 minutes away) with sandy beach and shallow waters, and going to Ausable Chasm on the NY side. If we are back in the area, we would definitely try to rent this house again. Thank you to Autumn for being a responsive host and letting us rent her family's special home.

The property worked well. It would be good for the beds to get updated. One twin bed is broken quite badly. The rest of the furniture all worked out fine. Overall we had a great stay and are very appreciative of the Autumn for letting us stay.

We had 10 people including one infant and two boys under the age of 10. This house was great for entertainment with full stock kitchen for all our cooking for the week. The house is very open downstairs with a big back deck and big living room area. All the rooms are pretty big and the beds were very comfortable. The lake was great just remember to bring your water shoes. We had a few fires at the fire pit and the sunsets were amazing. If your looking for tons of privacy on the lake then this is your house. Autumn was great with communicating with us and overal they place is for sure 5 stars.

The view and size of the property was fabulous. The house was very clean and met our needs. It was dissappointing that the sliders did not open and there was not adequate seating outside to enjoy the view and the warm weather. And the front door lock did not work properly. Needs a little TLC but the owner was very gracious and is working on the problems listed. All and all a great house!!

There are no words, it would be best to compose a poem and paint a picture. Every day we saw birds of prey fly overhead. One morning alone we saw bald eagles. This is a place of peace and healing. The house is exactly on the water, private and inside exceptionally clean and organized. (I am a registered nurse so I appreciate this detail). Everything is perfect and we are so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay here. Thank you for sharing this home.

Johnny’s Dream was the perfect property for our family, including our furry family member, to celebrate the holiday. The views of sunrise from the master bedroom were magnificent! The house was super clean, spacious and very comfortable. My husband and I love to cook, and we prepared all of our meals at the house so the kitchen was more than adequate fir our needs.
Autumn was very nice, responsive and easy to communicate with. We had to cancel and rebook our trip, and she was quite accommodating.
We look forward to a return trip on the summer or fall to enjoy the lake during a different season!

Can't say enough good things about this property and my stay there! A beautiful, spacious home in a peaceful location with all of the creature comforts of my own home. I had a wonderful time relaxing by the lake with my sweet pup who also certainly enjoyed the space to roam and the private swims! I already miss waking up to the sun rising over the lake - hope to return very soon. Many thanks to Autumn for opening up this home to guests and for the clear, concise communications which made the entire reservation/check-in/check-out process smooth and easy to navigate.

This is a very private location with expansive water views. The home was lovely and more impressive than the photos in the listing can capture. My young children loved the playroom, especially the trucks. We had a wonderful time both at the property and exploring Isle La Motte. We will be back for sure!

Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed our retreat at Autumn's Isle La Motte Lake House. We had a large group of family from NY, FL, and CA come together for our annual summer get away. The home provided everythign we could have wanted on a vacation and more. The weather was fantastica and the lake was quiet and pleasant. 4th of July and Canada day fireworks were visible on all sides for several nights in a row. Everyone in our group left the lake with relaxed and refreshed, including our dogs. Which is a bonus! How many home rentals allow dogs to come and play at the lake? Not that many, i can tell you from experience. It was great to have our furry friends with us to enjoy the good times in the lake, on the dock and playing in the yard and woods. The sunrise and sunsets were amazing, as both were visible from this vantage on the island. As were the stars when the sun went down and the clear skies put on a show. We spend many hours relaxing in the yard in the ADK chairs, on the deck grilling and chilling, and around the huge dining table eating, laughing and playing board games. The house really has it all and we will be back. Also, Autumn is an amazing host. Very quick to respond and doesn't let any detail go un-noticed. She advised us on kayak rentals, shopping and dining, among other things and that made our stay that much better. Cheers!

Thank you!

What a lovely home in a great setting. The house has great open common areas inside and out for all to enjoy one another's company. The lake was surprisingly warm. The bottom is rocky with tiny mussels and gets a bit weedy out from shore so agree that water shoes are a must. However, the clarity of the water makes finding ones footing into the lake easier. Closing out evenings by the firepit was a plus. The flies were pesky but apart from that it wasn't too buggy for late August. Wishlist items for the place: larger beds since a couple in a double is cozy and paddleboard or kayak to use. That being said, a local shop, Hero's Welcome (info magnetized to the fridge) conveniently delivered both of these rentals for us. Bringing staple groceries also a good idea though the basics all available less than 5 miles away at the Harborside Harvest Market. Autumn, the owner, was helpful and prompt with all questions we had leading up to and during the visit. My entire family really enjoyed it and all give it a big thumbs up, 'keeper' rating!

This place was perfect for our family getaway. The setting is beautiful... we saw both sunrises and sunsets. There is plenty of room on the lawn to toss a football, throw a frisbee and have fun. The inside is spacious. We would definitely return. The area is great for bike riding and there is a cool place to buy local products just a little ways down the road.

Our family had a wonderful time at this spacious and well-maintained home on Lake Champlain. The views from the house are amazing. We watched the sun rise and set from various locations in the house or outside. We launched our lounger from the dock. The children fished and the adults relaxed, often in the hammock! The thoughtful details that have been put into this rental made our stay a pleasure. Everything from beach towels, children's toys, band aids to DVDs, books of all kinds made it a comfy spot to relax and play for a week. All the adults went to Montreal for a day taking turns watching the four children and two dogs that we had with us. The children were delighted with swimming, lawn games, playing in the loft and just having fun. Bring water shoes and bug spray. Water shoes since the beach is a bit rocky and bug spray because it is summertime. Eat out on the deck every evening and catch the Lippizaners show at Knight's Point Park if they are on the islands for the summer. Lovely vacation that our family will remember for years to come. Thank you for accommodating our family.

Beautiful lake house in a quiet area. The house is well maintained and clean. The layout and size of the house is ideal for multiple families vacationing together. An easy drive to Burlington and Montreal. The outdoor area is private and very relaxing. Wonderful views of the lake. The pictures displayed accurately reflect what the property has to offer. I would recommend bringing bulk grocery items with you however there is a little market with essentials on the island with excellent homemade fudge. I would recommend highly recommend this property.

Our extended family wanted to spend a few days relaxing in Vermont after gathering from Minneapolis, New York City, two Vermont towns, and Australia. This property was a perfect choice. Since the group ranged in age from 2-74, we had a variety of interests and needs to meet. We brought bikes and canoes, so we could pedal around the island and paddle as long as we wanted. Dock was nice and was improved by the owner during our stay. Enough flat yard for ball games. State park was nearby for a sandy beach outing. Plenty of sleeping area. Adequate kitchen, though we had to repair a broken refrigerator shelf. Because Isle LaMotte has no grocery store, we carried in all of our food for the vacation; lots of groceries and we still ended up with two drives to Swanton. Long waterfront meant we had privacy and quiet during our stay. All of the family asked to return again in the future!

We could not have been any happier with our experience at this beautiful lakefront house in Isle La Motte. The house and location exceeded all our expectations. We were traveling with two little ones and were so surprised to find all the great toys and children's books. We all enjoyed relaxing on the hammock, walking the fruit orchards, swimming in the lake and fishing on the dock. Our daughter caught her first fish and it was a memory that will last a life time. The large deck was a picturesque spot for family breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The sunsets were an exclamation point to each perfect day. We loved it, and hope we go back for many years to come. Autumn was excellent to work with prior to the trip. She answered all our questions promptly and checked in during the trip to be sure everything was going smoothly. Truly a 5 star getaway to Northern New England.
