We enjoyed the stay, especially the proximity to the beach. We were able to let our kids run free and still see them from the deck. The house is older and could use and updating. There is no pantry, which was a huge issue for grocery storage. Overall, we enjoyed the location the best!

The property is top notch. The neighborhood, the location, the house itself is perfect. The home is well appointed, and doesn’t have a bad bedroom or setup anywhere. All the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. There is even two refrigerators, plus an ice maker, which was wonderful! Plenty of chairs around the pool, and everyone enjoyed the porch swing. The only complaint I have is the house needs a good deep cleaning. If you move furniture or appliances, underneath is filthy. And there is an obvious rodent problem that the owners/realtor needs to address. Had to have maintenance come remove a dead rat, that got stuck, it was so big. trying to come out through the fireplace, and a sealed bag of nuts, that was left out, was completely chewed into and eaten.

This place is amazing- best house I’ve ever stayed at in Santa Rosa Beach. Location is perfect, large well lit rooms, incredible pool on the deck overlooking the beach. Super quiet neighborhood. I can’t think of one thing that wasn’t great.

We rented for my daughter’s birthday just family and it was great. Right on the beach and there was hardly anyone on it. Like having your on private beach. The pool was heated and felt great.

Awesome experience, right on beach...
Big beach house, 6 rooms and plenty of extra space. Swimming pool on beach side ... ocean view while in pool. Many other properties advertise they are beach house with ocean view, but they're not actually ON the beach ... however, this beach house IS smack on the sandy beach ... love having morning coffee while looking at the sunrise over the ocean and sand. Great place .... you will love.

Storks nest
Property was beautiful! Paying to have the pool heated was well worth it. The kids spent a lot of time in it since the ocean was still a little cold. We had 17 people and didnt feel cramped at all. Only complaints were that the windows were missing the cranks to open them and the sliding doors to the porches were hard to open. The property could use a toaster. We were given plenty of towels, but not nearly enough washcloths. Was a fantastic vacation and we would definitely book this property again!

Beach front with pool
The only thing that kept my review from 5 stars was due to a maintenance man randomly showing up (not blaming the actual maintenance man) luckily our baby was awake so his knocking didn’t completely disturb us but it’s annoying to be paying for a private home for just a few short days and they couldn’t manage to schedule the maintenance work to be done after we checked out?? The house itself was very nice and we stayed in the heated pool almost the whole time. Also none of the doors from the bedrooms opened up to the balconies aside from one. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and I suggest maybe bringing your own pillow to make sleeping more comfortable. We had a fabulous vacation and would consider staying here again. We also appreciated a high chair being there since we had a little one.

Perfect beach house
Four adults and four children stayed 1 week in Dec 2018. There was plenty of space indoors for everyone. The heated pool was used nearly every day. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed. Groceries weren’t too far away. We brought beach towels as recommended.
The beach is clean. One day we walked along the beach 2.5 miles to the nearest shopping area with food trucks. The kids all had a blast even on the rainy day.

Loved the location
The house was as spacious and comfortable as we expected. The beach was awesome. Great location -- private but yet not far from restaurants & shopping. We were disappointed that the "heated" pool was not working, as advertised. Also had difficulty getting cable to work on the TV's. Had to stream Net Flix from our own account to get any shows to watch.

Amazing house with amazing views!
We couldn't have been happier with this house. It far exceeded our expectations. We had a large gathering of family and friends... about 16 and thought we would feel cramped but were not at all. The house is fully stocked with cooking supplies. There is plenty of parking. The extra fridge was a bonus! We loved waking up every morning to the unbelievable beach views! We would definetly rent this house again. We made some very special memories here!

Beautiful and perfect
We had a wonderful time at storks nest. Everything was exactly as described and even more beautiful than we thought. The pictures don't do it justice. The house was clean and well accommodating for our large family gathering.

It's was great!
Our mini family reunion, 14 people, was amazing. I loved the location and it was great to have the pool and the beach right there! Management was fantastic, fixing the air conditioner right away and getting us some board games! I would definitely book again! Thank you Storks Nest!

Beautiful!
We just checked out this AM and I had to review immediately. The location is perfect, pool is a great addition, the house was just right for our group of 3 families with kids ranging 5-15. The management company was great, met us on the 1st day and gave us a ton of info on area. Highly recommended!

Location great, service not!
The house has a great layout and wonderful view and location. But the rental company is so slack. I told them I was arriving early and they said they would let me know if I could get in early. Never heard back.
When I arrived the guy was supposedly looking over the house to make sure everything was right. waste of time. he also said he would get back to me on a few things and didn't.
I went to go sit in chairs at the beach, and I knew two came with the house. They were not set up until the next morning. There were some locked up under the house but no way to use. Nice arrival touch, not.
Then I decided to go for a bike ride. All four bikes were rusted with flat tires.
When I went to get in bed that night there was no top sheet on the bed. I had to use the comforter to cover up to. Eww. Got in touch and they did bring one by the next day. Next I hear another room didn't have a top sheet either and I have to call again. This time they never brought one.
It's not part of my idea of vacation to have to keep being on the phone over and over with the house rental company.
The kitchen has the bare pantry essentials, no not even that. No salt and pepper even.
There were lightbulbs burned out and rusted old showerheads.
I asked for an hour later check out. Never heard back. The cleaners arrived right at 10 AM. It's fine, we were ready to get out of there but this paying top dollar you expect to actually have everything in order.
And 3 nights is actually 46 hours.
This was most definitely not a 5 star experience, Five Star Gulf Rentals.

Secluded Beachfront 30a Paradise with Private Pool
We stayed at the Stork's Nest this past week and also got married on the beach. The house is gorgeous in a perfect location on 30a with a private pool. We enjoyed walking the beach each morning and laying by the pool each afternoon. The weather was perfect and the sunrise and sunsets even better. Loved the open concept layout of the house offering plenty of room for our large family. The service provided by Five Star was impeccable and they even gave us a special wedding gift upon arrival. We've decided to make this beach trip an annual tradition and look forward to planning our next vacation with Five Star Properties!

Great house with a gorgeous view
This house fit our family of 8 adults and 6 kids perfectly! Being right on the beach was so convenient and made the vacation pleasant for everyone. The pool overlooking the beach was icing on the cake! The kids could go back and forth from the beach to swim and the adults chaperoning did not feel secluded. They could see the beach and family members from the pool deck. All the rooms had comfortable beds and pillows and decorated nicely with pretty beach views from 3 of the 6 rooms. The kitchen was stocked appropriately for what we cooked and the grill worked great. The concierge service responded quickly to every question we had and was very helpful.
The area is perfect . Tons of bike riding down 30-A. Multiple towns to go shopping, dining, and get ice cream just a minute away. The Grayton state park was very nice too.
However, there were some minor things that could be adjusted. Our biggest complaint would have to be lack of curtains. The sun is very bright and the house doesn't have curtains or room darkening shades. So every morning at 6 AM, everyone was up bright and early due to the sun. We went shopping for sleep masks to help the situation, but the kids were still awaken. Just adding some room darkening curtains would help ALOT!!! Also, the upstairs hallway and stairwell is a very slippery wood and a very noisy floor. A runner in the hallway would help ALOT!!! You could hear every footstep and some of the kids slipped a couple of times. Lastly, the upstairs tub did not drain properly, but it was not a big deal.
Overall, we would rent again for sure. The view with the pool and the beautiful deck are just amazing,

Villa Royal is a very pleasant place although we had some parking problems.
Our experience was very good and everyone had a great time. A couple of items I would like to discuss.
1. We like to cook and being on the coast, we prepare many seafood dishes. The advertisement indicating a gourmet kitchen should be modified. This was no close to a gourmet kitchen as most of the pots, pans and cooking equipment was in very bad shape. If it were not for another couple bringing some of their cooking equipment, many of the dishes we prepared could not have been done.
2. The ice maker in the refrigerator did not dispense and we had to fill a pot full of ice and keep it in the freezer
3. The master bathtub on the third floor was very slow to drain.
4. We had to buy a new can opener as the ones in the unit would not work.
5. The first level pool heater did not work and the water was to cold to use the pool.
6. The pictures in the cabinets indicating what and where items were to be place showed more dishes than were in the unit.
You might want the unit inspectors to cross check these items. Fortunately, none of the above items prevented us from having a good and pleasant stay.
Should other future guest love to cook, please advise the owners to rewrite the build-up of the Kitchen

Excellent rental for our family of ten adults and five children....We loved everything about the Stork's Nest - the house and its many bedrooms and bath combinations - the flat screen TV's in the rooms - the terrific deck and private pool are the ultimate extra to this rental. The dormitory (bedroom with bunks) was also a huge extra for our stay. Kids used it for their games and TV use. We have reserved it again for next year because everyone wants to go back for Thanksgiving next year. Terrific find.

I stayed in the house with my entire family for my wedding weekend. It was very large and & the back deck was amazing. Perfect views & amazing staff! Would definitely rent again!

Most homes in the area are built up vertically, but this home uses the space so well and is open and airy!
The highlight of the home for us was the open living area and the expansive windows that overlook the beach. This area is what being on vacation is all about; experiencing sights, views, and luxury that you can not experience on a daily basis! I can go on and on about the large living room and the great family time we spent there but there are other wonderful rooms to talk about!
The kitchen had stainless steel appliances and beautiful granite countertops. The dining room was able to seat all 10 of us at one table!
Of course not every room could be on the beach, but each bedroom did provide views of the area through large windows. We slept in the room of the second story and woke up looking out over the clear/green waters and white beach every morning. What a treat!
The expansive pool deck and private pool at this home is located ON THE BEACH! You will never want to leave!
Five Star was great and very easy to deal with. They greeted us at the property and even brought us a welcome gift!

Location was great and had room for parking 4 vehicles. However house needs some TLC. Toilet upstairs overflowed, bathroom tub in another bedroom upstairs needed cleaning and shower curtain liner had mold. Other facilities were adequate. Oven in kitchen had cleaner left in it and had to be wiped out. House needed to be cleaned more efficiently. New comforter in one of the bedrooms needed replacing.
This property could be great with a little upgrading.
