We had an amazing time, group of 17 and a dog aged from 1year to 65years.
We had an amazing time, group of 17 and a dog aged from 1year to 65years. Lots of room, ample equipment and tvs, showers and bathrooms. Owner was super helpful and friendly and quickly sorted out our very minor problems. Swimming pool was awesome but on colder days there is an extensive collection of books, dvds and games to keep everyone busy.
The games room is also a huge plus and was used regularly.
100% recommend and if wasnt already booked would return next year, will definitely be looking early for following year. Thank you Andy x

We found Abbott’s Farm an excellent house for a family get together spanning 3 generations. Andy the owner was perfect, dealing immediately with any issue and looking after the pool and hot tub; nothing is too much trouble for him.
There is a very well equipped kitchen, plenty of space to spread out and a dining room and lounge big enough for everyone to get together.
The pool and hot tub was well used, the wrap around garden is quiet and secluded perfect for the toddler and 2 dogs we had with us. The games room is an added bonus. Abbott’s farm is a great place for a family celebration.

We took our holiday this year during the covid lockdown. This limited what we could do. But Abbott's Farm was especially well suited to this context, with ample space for all the family who are spread over quite an age range. The swimming pool helped; as did one of the lawns which was big enough for our annual family croquet tournament. The games room was also much used. We appreciated the availability of the owner (living on the same site) and his (and his family's) willingness to deal with such issues as arose (and were drawn to his attention).

I booked this cottage holiday for my family and my brothers family just as the lockdown began to ease. A total of 14 (8 adults and 6 kids) of us and we were going to a cottage holiday for the first time so were a little unsure what to expect. I spoke to Andy (the owner) before my booking and he was very nice.
Upon arrival we were greeted by Andy's wife Renata who gave us a warm welcome. She showed us around the house and she was so nice. Everything was as described. The place was huge and well organised.
Cottage - very spacious and clean, the bedrooms are big with comfy beds, loads of cupboards space. The kitchen was excellent with 3 ovens, 2 large fridge freezers, dining table, 5 burner gas hob, double sink and loads more. I forgot fully loaded with pans, cutlery, plates, glasses, blenders etc. You get what I mean.
Swimming pool - Excellent size pool which is private and exclusive to the cottage. It is not overlooked and a great size. and good depth as well. The kids spent a lot of time in the pool. Actually we all did as it was so nice.
Jacuzzi/hot tub - Amazing which comfortably sits 4 adults and a couple of kids. The temperature was so nice and hot, we saw the highest being 40.5 degrees and it was amazing to chill out in. The temperature averages at around 37 degrees which was still very hot. The Jacuzzi has a Bluetooth and can play music which we made good use of. The jets in the Jacuzzi are nice and powerful and can be controlled.
Games room - A great detached games room which has a pool table, table tennis table and football table. Full sets of pool and snooker balls and good cues. Lots of table tennis bats and balls.
Andy and Renata were very friendly and were always there to help. Andy cleaned the pool and serviced the pool and Jacuzzi ready for us to use the next day.
We are going to return to this cottage again soon.
See you soon Andy and Renata.

A great place for a family gathering. The owner was hugely accommodating and went out of his way to setup a few things on our behalf.
The hot tub and games room were welcome additions.
The house is massive and can hold a large group comfortably.
Quirky and comfortable.

We had a 3 generation family gathering here for the weekend. The place is spacious with excellent facilities - we were able to use the pool, hot tub and games room. Andy was very helpful, friendly and flexible. The location is beautiful albeit there is not much in the immediate vicinity, but for us this was not a problem as we were there to meet up with each other from various parts of the UK. Some of the electrics did not seem to work too well (a couple of lamps), but otherwise the kitchen was very well equipped and the bathrooms were clean with decent showers.

A truly exceptional property.
A truly exceptional property. Abbotts Farm is the best quipped cottage that we have ever stayed in. The amount of cooking, eating and drinking equipment is huge. Pool, Hot Tub and Games Room were in constant use! The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We have given a "10" for local amenities but we didn't leave the property during the entire long weekend.
Really outstanding.

10 Adults, 7 children (ages 3 to 16), and a dog all enjoyed staying at Abbotts Farm this summer. The pool, the hot tub and the games room were in use every day, as was the dishwasher! There is plenty of room for everyone and the children enjoyed the house and the garden; ideal for hide-n-seek type games. For the less active some could play with an X-box whilst others could watch a video in the other lounge. We hardly left the house as we had most of our shopping delivered and in fact some of our party never left the premises. To capture the week one of us wrote a song, a parody of ‘Shotgun’ (‘Time flies by in the Abbotts Farm house’) which was then sung by the children and captured on video in various parts of the house and garden. A good memory of what for some was ‘the best family holiday yet’.

Great house for a large family gathering/celebration.
Great house for a large family gathering/celebration. Large garden to be enjoyed by all ages. Pool, hot tub, games room. Large kitchen plus large dining room. Amazing range of crockery, utensils, glasses for all occasions. We all had a great time and the owner, Andy, was extremely helpful and approachable. My grand-daughters want to know when are we going back :-)

Had a brilliant time with 18 of us taking up all beds. Pool was great and warm and the hot tub very warm to hot. Plenty of crockery and bedding and owners lovely and helpful and live on site.
Showers all worked. Helped enormously by being a really hot and sunny weekend.
Spent most time out and about on cycles and then by the pool and so did not notice that we had a separate games room until reminded by the owners. Could have enjoyed that lovely facility.
Only slight downside as we were all adults was that the twin bedded rooms were a bit on the small side and only one on suite bathroom. The other bathrooms were all in a row but we did manage OK. In their defence the house in a very old farmhouse and they would have been fine for children.

A great place for our family group. Lots of space to relax together and felt like a home-from-home. Sky Sports was popular, as were the pool (though it was a bit cold some days) and most especially the hot-tub. Most of the beds were comfortable but the sofa bed was not a hit I'm afraid, not even for 1 person. Kitchen was very well equipped and plenty of oven space for big groups. Owner was helpful and relaxed. We hope to return.

We hired Abbots farm out for a get together/ birthday with 17 friends, and I have to say it is one of the best houses I have ever stayed in! The house has so much character, great facilities and was based in a lovely location. The owners were very friendly and approachable ensuring we had everything we needed but also gave us space and privacy. The facilities were brilliant with a heated pool, fantastic hot tub, games room and loads of parking. The house was very well equipped with bedding, towels, crockery and cleaning products. It even had a washing machine and tumble dryer which was very useful. It’s a perfect house for a group getaway and we intended to return in the future. 5 star recommendation!

Great for a family or friend get-together.
Great for a family or friend get-together. We did find that the house wasn't great for younger children in terms of safety and steep stairs etc. The garden is a great space but it was rather unkempt, and again not very safe for children. The games room has the potential to be lovely but various parts of it were unsafe or damaged and just needs a bit more tlc. The house was amazingly well-equipped - more than you could ever need in terms of kitchen equipment. We loved having a big kitchen to gather in which was in the centre of the house, and it was great to have a separate dining room which seated everyone at one time. Also - so many bathrooms! We would definitely consider going back if it was made a little more child-friendly and the garden and games room were better maintained. Good value for money too.

Plumbing needs urgent review - showers worked intermittently - stopped/started /hot/cold- very poor. Hot water tepid at times, seems too much on inadequate system. Grass not cut - children could not play in garden. No outside lighting around entrance gate and stairs to games room area, this was dangerous at night - had to use mobile phone lights. Apart from these irritants the premises served their purpose as advertised.
