Wake to the sounds of birds and sea life or just the quiet. You can sit in the park-like gardens or on the deck and watch the eagles soar or boats go by (even submarines). In the evenings, eat on the deck and watch the sun set behind the Olympic Mountains. If you are feeling more adventurous, you can walk to the beach and collect clams, mussels, and oysters for dinner (with license), or use the community tennis and basketball courts. If duty calls, you can connect with civilization via wireless broadband internet throughout the house. Even work becomes tolerable when you do it in this environment. This is a place where activities abound, but even better yet, do nothing and just be. Poulsbo, a charming tourist destination with waterfront shopping and sport activities like kayaking and sailing is 10 minutes away. Restaurants are plentiful, but world’s best gourmet food market (Central Market) with fresh seafood and meat markets, sushi bar, weekend barbeque, great wine selection, and not to mention, 15 varieties of olives in the olive bar, is only minutes away. If you are into gaming, the Clearwater Casino is 20 minutes away, located in Squamish at the Agate Pass Bridge. Less than an hour from the retreat reside the majestic Olympic National Park, Port Townsend and Port Ludlow. 1 hour drive to the Pt. Angeles ferry and you could be on your way to beautiful Victoria, BC. Seattle is a short 30 minute ferry ride away. Simply walk onto the ferry and enjoy a perfect day of shopping/sightseeing in Seattle. Conclude your day in one of the gourmet downtown restaurants, all within walking distance to the ferry terminal. Beautiful setting and home, we really enjoyed our stay.

We were looking for a little place to get away from the city with our dog, and this place fit the bill perfectly. It’s in a surprisingly dense neighborhood, but you’d hardly know it once you’re in the backyard looking at the view of Hood Canal and the Olympics. The garden is very nice and well maintained. And this had to be one of the cleanest homes I’ve ever stayed in! Roomy bedrooms and a cozy living space felt very homey. A great place to stay while enjoying the Kitsap peninsula!

The four of us ( myself, my husband, my parents) enjoyed the gorgeous sunsets every night.

What an amazing month spent in this gorgeous house! Our family of 4 loved every minute of the view of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound. We were lucky enough to see Orcas form the Backyard!!! Also submarines, seal, porpoises, Osprey and Bald Eagles. A bald eagle sat in the tallest tree out front for over an hour. We loved walking down to the neighborhood beach down the street and seeing sand dollars, oyster and clam shells galore. The kitchen had everything we needed and the house had great storage space, puzzles, books and games. It was a perfect spot to explore Poulsbo, Bainbridge Island, take the ferry to Seattle for the day, go to Port Townsend, Kingston, Vashon Island etc. So much to see and explore in the area. Weather in July was gorgeous and we even spent 3 days hiking Olympic National Park. Would love to return here!! So thankful to the owners for the opportunity.

Loved the layout of the house including all the windows facing the mountains and canal. It is a small house, but nicely arranged . The deck and beautiful garden just added to the ambiance. The view is breathtaking. It was quiet with wonderful sunrises, sunsets and birdsong. It is nicely secluded , but not too far from the main road to get about. We are nature people and never got tired of the view.

Great location between Seattle and the Olympics. The property was perfect for two couples with essentially two primary bedrooms with attached baths. Very clean and comfortable. Perfect spot for us to see the aurora lighting up the sky our last night. Highly recommend.

This is the best property we've ever rented. Period. We stayed for 5 weeks in Feb/March, and found this home revealed the natural environment--water, birds, trees--so beautifully. The home is well-supplied, with vintage (high quality) dishes, numerous pots and pans, baking dishes, and so on. We love to cook together, and this place was ready for us! Beds were comfy and there are plenty of towels/sheets. The quiet neighborhood nevertheless felt "lived in," while clearly occupied by mostly owners, so it felt like we were home, too. Whether we were walking the dogs, visiting the beach, exploring the area, or (most often) working via wifi from home, we had all we needed. The whole experience was supportive and even healing. While I imagine this is a fabulous place to spend an August weekend, we loved being here in the late winter. Let the PNW scenes reveal themselves to you--right outside the window! We are so grateful for having the opportunity to stay at this beautiful property!

This was the perfect place to celebrate my mom's birthday. The home is beautiful - cozy, clean, and comfortable; the location is great, and the view is spectacular. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for a reset after Christmas. The property was lovely, with the fragrance from the blooming sweet box (Sarcococca confusa) smelling amazing and the weeping blue atlas cedar adding character. The house was well stocked, with a kitchen that made it easy to cook oyster stew and prepare peppermint cocoa. We really appreciated the extra blankets for protecting the furniture from the fur of our four-legged housemates.
The area was so quiet and relaxing, it was the perfect basecamp for our excursions to Poulsbo. While we didn't see any marine mammals or submarines, we did see lots of different birds. Overall a wonderful time!

Edgewater Bluff once again was a perfect getaway. It’s immaculately maintained, has everything you need to feel right at home and offers amazing views, all within minutes of charming Poulsbo. Host is very responsive and accommodating. This was our fourth visit and we hope to return again.

WOW! I celebrated a milestone birthday by giving myself a “recharge my batteries” retreat from my everyday life on the East coast. The house is quiet, the surroundings serene and supreme. I could not stop staring at the water, waiting for seals to pop up, seabirds to land, and a lone eagle to dive toward a meal. The Hunter’s Moon setting over the mountains and water was mesmerizing in the early morning, and the sunsets glorious. Website pictures are accurate, the house was immaculate, and the kitchen very well stocked with tools and equipment. It is conveniently located for days trips on the Peninsula.

This house and location are top notch! 5 stars across the board for everything. Extremely clean house, beautiful view, comfy beds, excellent communication with property manager, everything worked, no deferred maintenence, close to stores and restaurants, and our two pups loved it too. One of the best, if not the best VRBO we have stayed at! We will definitely be back!

This place was amazing! We loved everything about this property... It was super clean... The kitchen was well-stocked and there was nothing that we needed that wasnt provided. The view is absolutely gorgeous. Seriously, this place is one of the best we've ever had the pleasure of staying in!
As a side note, we loved this place so much that we decided to come back for a week and stay here the day after Christmas but found that someone had already reserved it for 2 days that week... yay for them, boo for us! But, we will be back ASAP! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

We love the tranquil environment provided by this lovely home on the Hood Canal. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfortable and the sunsets are incredible. Thanks Sabine for always being prompt with any requests that come up during our stay. You were especially amazing this year even while suffering with Covid! We are already looking forward to our return in 2024!

What a nice and relaxing stay we had at this quiet peaceful home. One of the most clean VRBO homes I've stayed at and I really appreciated that. Would most definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful week. Everything was as described and the home was fully equipped for every possible need. The location is beautiful and completely stunning. Its around 6 miles from Poulsbo which is a lovely waterfront park and Marina with plenty of options to eat out. Many overlooking the water. Having selected the property purely from the Vrbo website, when taking everything into account, House location, access to amenities etc it couldn't have been bettered. A truly wonderful holiday was had by all

The house was immaculately clean, with updated colors for furniture, paint, etc. Easy parking on two gravel driveways. 20 mins to downtown Poulsbo. The view is spectacular and warrants some lazy couch reading/napping time just watching the boats, mountains and sunsets. Kitchen is well laid out, with a Viking range and fully equipped. The neighborhood is older, with some water view homes having been updated or new construction. Communication was great and access very easy. Very highly recommended!

We enjoyed our time at the Edgewater Retreat. So private and peaceful, yet not far from the conveniences for shopping. Loved watching the activities on the Sound. We were lucky and did see a Submarine one morning.
The house had all the amenities we could imagine and the kitchen was equipped with any item you can think of.
We do recommend this rental.

Wonderful cottage with the most amazing view! So cozy and very clean.

We stayed at the property over the long weekend. Well appointed and clean. One tv in master bedroom and one in living room. Both bedrooms have their own full bath.
Great view and small backyard and deck to soak it all in. About 15 minutes to main groceries and downtown area of Poulsbo.
2nd bedroom has a skylight which can bring in early morning sun. Not too bad, but bring an eye mask if you're a light sleeper

We enjoyed this very comfortable home and it"s beautuful view. The house is well equipped with everything we needed. We appreciated the use of the detailed bird book that helped us identify the Stellar Jay.

My friend and I, both seniors, had an exquisitely peaceful time in this cheerful and comfortable home with a panoramic view, up to date kitchen and bathrooms, comfy beds and nice accessories. My only suggestion is to get better lamps for reading in the living and bedrooms. Been here twice and I’m looking forward to coming back again

This is a great house with an even better view of Hood Canal and the Olympic mountains. The house itself is small but has a great layout and felt large enough for our family of four. It's very clean and well stocked with pretty much everything you might expect to find in a vacation rental. The property manager was great to work with and quick to respond. Looking forward to returning here in the future.

This was our 2nd 10-day visit since discovering this home a year ago. And it is still the same wonderful place it was last year. The view is spectacular, the grounds are far better maintained than any other vacation rental we have ever seen. Glad we cancelled our Bainbridge reservation in favor of a repeat stay here. We struggled hard to discover anything that we needed or even wished for that wasn't supplied. The quieter waterway on Hood Canal is so peaceful and scenic - fishing boats and others give a quiet ambiance to an already great spot. The property manager has been wonderful and very communicative. And, the fact that the home is not only dog-friendly, but has blankets and towels for pets to help protect the furniture and wipe down the furries makes this even more enjoyable - Oakley is an important part of our family and travelling with him is high on our list. And this property not only makes that possible, but simple and easy. We'll be hoping to return again next year, maybe in the Spring.

We were in town for a wedding and in between events we soaked in the beauty of this magical place, with an uninterrupted view of Hood Canal and the mountains beyond. Very comfortable home, ideal for two couples, as there is a
bed/bathroom on either side of the house. It is stocked with all the amenities one has come to know in a well appointed VRBO. There is outdoor seating to absorb all nature has to offer. It is close to Kitsap State Park and Poulsbo; both worthy of exploration. Sluy’s bakery is a must!

This beautiful property is as advertised and is one of the best rental experiences we have ever had. The pictures really show the beauty of this home. The house is perfectly maintained and looks like it is professionally decorated. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need to cook your favorite meals. The view is spectacular - all sorts of birds and an occasional sea creature will pass by. We saw all kinds of boats and with the binoculars the owner provides, you can see who is passing by on the water. We had a terrific time and are already planning our next trip.

This VRBO was amazing. Organized, very clean property. If you are looking for beautiful views over Hood Canal, this is the place. We had another couple joins us for two nights and we had a great time. Lot's of wildlife on the water, really fun.
