About this house rental
(HOUSE HAS FAST NEW WIFI SERVICE NOW)-------Get away from the big city, the stresses of life, and just kick back and hang on our huge deck and watch as eagles occasionally fly by — so close, it feels like you can touch them. Be sure to bring a camera.
This home are close to many attractions to the Olympic National Park and is a very private, quiet, relaxing retreat. From the deck, guests see nothing but water looking both north and south, where you can view wildlife. Our waterfront home house offers spectacular views with 130 feet of low bank beach on Hood Canal. The location offers a nature’s paradise to view wildlife, on occasion we have seals on our beach and sometimes you can hear and see them sing to each other at night. Home is a cozy older house for a place to totally get away from it all.
Eagles often glide by as close as 50 yards from the deck, great blue herons nest 75 yards away, and sometimes you will see deer hanging in the driveway in total peaceful tranquility. The panoramic water views of the beautiful Hood Canal from our giant wood deck are breathtaking and you are less then five minutes from Mount Walker where you can drive and see views of the Seattle skyline or, if you look in the opposite direction, you will see the beautiful snow peaks of the Olympics Mountain range.
If hiking is your thing, there are hundreds of beautiful trails nearby in the Olympic National Park. Hungry — head south nearby to Brinnon for two high quality restaurant for meals. Then come back home for a sunset kayak in front from the house. Swimming, fishing, and crabbing are possible there as well. It is a total paradise and a place to totally get away from it all.
The fully stocked kitchen, with a glorious view of the deck and water, includes a tiny breakfast bar. Our dining area has a table that seats six. The kitchen opens into the dining room and living room where you will never get tired of the incredible panoramic view of the water. Sunrises are gorgeous and sitting out on the oversized deck at night looking at the full moon’s reflection on the water is a great way to relax at the end of your day.

The house was larger than we expected. The view was beautiful. Very secluded location which was quiet and peaceful. Perfect for our family.

Would stay again great location but needs a little TLC
Needs some serious deck maintenance, ground maintenance compared to pictures in advertising is lacking. Safety issue with Mr Coffee, the coffee pot does not turn off automatically. Hot water runs out quickly.

Great host. Will return.

Overall nice place with great location. Clean. Only minor thing was lack of a few amenities like few bathroom towels, only one wash cloth, ran out of paper towels, no wine or cocktail glasses. Thats an easy fix. Otherwise it is nice inside and would stay again.

The house was much larger than we expected with lots of room to spread out. Very clean and comfortable. Great communication with the hosts, and you can’t beat the views!

The house overall is great and very spacious. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The immediate area is beautiful and there are lots of
Places to explore within an hour. There are 2.5 bathrooms and three bedrooms plus a loft which worked great for us. The game room area was fun and again overall the actual house was terrific.
Our only major complaint is that the lead picture is pretty misleading. The gorgeous view in that picture is much different and more or less blocked now by trees for at least 80% off the deck. The deck also is in a bit of rough shape but still overall the house was wonderful. Not having the view was unfortunate as it was definitely something we were looking forward too but we could walk down to the water still.

The property was perfect for our family. The beds were very comfortable, kids love the air hockey and it was quiet and serene!

Lovely setting, house is spacious and has lots of light from windows and sliders. The house was clean enough except : The windows were dirty, the tracks for the windows and doors were dirty. The stove and oven were very dirty. I contacted the manager or owner, don't have a name to share here, whoever responded to the text offered to send someone out. We declined just wanted to be sure we weren't "blamed". The deck has rotting wood on the glass railing and on the decking of the deck lots of wood that needs replacing. I would definitely return if these items were fixed! Great location and beautiful view!

House clean and comfortable. Bed in master wonderful (only one we used). Communication with property manager (owner) excellent. Lots of fresh oysters on beach when tide is out. We didn’t use the kayaks as they were tiny sit-on-top type that was more like a paddle board than kayak. House is in a very private setting. Nice deck and deck furniture. This place is remote. 45 minutes to any shopping. House didn’t have any condiments in fridge and few staples. Did have a good amount of savory spices but nothing for any baking. There are a handful of good restaurants within 15-30 minutes. We really enjoyed hiking in the area. Hikes closest to house were in Olympic National Park and were more strenuous but do able. You will need a Washington Discover pass for any other hiking which had a lot more choice of family trails in their State Parks close by. We really enjoyed our stay and everything was great.

This house was perfect for our family of 6. We have 4 boys ages 2-12. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay! The extra touch was the toys for the kids- we enjoyed all of them! Would come back in a heartbeat!

We really loved this property. Breathtaking views, abundant wildlife (sea otters on the deck, many bald eagles, and seals a bit down the beach from us). Loved the deck. House was very comfortable and we had everything we needed! Would love to visit again.

There was plenty of room for five adults to get comfortable in the common areas and cook in the well equipped kitchen. Washington weather was cool and windy, so walks on the beach were chilly, but the views from the kitchen, deck and bathtub made it so staying inside was just fine. We hope to return to this lovely home!

This was the perfect place for my family to stay while visiting my son in Bremerton! The house was very clean & the check-in/check-out was easy. Beautiful canal views make cooking in the kitchen fun. Access to the canal is steep but worth it to check out the oysters! Highly recommend.

Well lived-in cozy and comfortable quiet stay. This is my 5th or 6th time staying at this property, and will do so again in the future. Cell reception cuts in and out, but has reliable high speed internet. Kitchen has basic cookware and serving utensils. Deck has a great quiet view of the water. Air hockey and fooseball are great to have.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful time staying in the house. Very private and quiet. The view of the water is spectacular, didn’t see any wildlife though. The beach was very rocky, but by turning over rocks saw some crabs.
Communication with the owners was on point. Received a call a couple of hours before check-in with information about the house and driving tips. We responded via text and received answers immediately.
If you drive a low clearance vehicle you should know the long driveway is well maintained dirt; however there are bumps and dips. Our son drove a BMW sedan, drove very slowly and was fine.
Great find! We had a blast!

The condition of the house both inside and outside are tired. It’s in need of reconditioning, service, repairs, and updating. Some items on the listing where hard to find, use, or not available.

Family time stay
Family enjoyed sitting on the outside seating and enjoying the fresh air and the view. Seating outside was very comfortable.
Inside, the large table fit six of our family for meals and for playing cards. Plenty of kitchen pots and pans and utensils for cooking and dishes for eating and serving.
Had a couple of small suggestions for the homeowner to address. Appreciate that they wanted feedback and if everyone that stays shares things to fix, it makes it better for all.

Great location on the water, the house could use some updates and landscaping clean up.
We really enjoyed the ocean, eagles, and the view from the deck. The house itself needs updates. The north end of the house with the games and two bedrooms has no A/C, it gets very hot! Some of the wall plugs in the master bedroom couldn’t hold our normal plugs in the outlet, we had to duck tape them into the outlet to stay in it. The landscaping was nothing like the photos. It needs to be updated, we almost didn’t recognize the house. The photos are outdated.
Other than that we enjoyed our stay and it’s a nice location to go explore Olympic National Park.

Excellent property
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It’s very well provisioned and the views are beautiful. This area is breathtaking - the amount of hiking and wildlife made it very memorable. The owner was always available for questions and was very helpful. The game room was a nice touch (air hockey, XBox, and foosball) plus they had a lot of board games and puzzles.
A few minor criticisms - the Wi-Fi is pretty bad but we weren’t working so this was actually a bonus (it kept everyone off their devices). If you were going to work here you may want to be prepared with a hotspot. Also the loft was too hot to use initially (there was a heat wave when we got there) but the AC keeps the main house very cool. It also helped that they had a portable AC for the game room. Once the heat wave broke the loft was fine so the boys were able to sleep up there the last night.
There aren’t many dining or grocery options in Brinnon so plan ahead and stop at a grocery on your way in. Also bring water shoes and gloves if you plan on going to the beach and picking oysters - it’s very rocky and the oyster shells are super sharp.
I’ve already recommended this place to several friends - you can’t go wrong with this house or the area if you’re trying to get away from a busy life!

NW quiet and relaxation
A lovely location in overlooking Dabob Bay. A hour from Port Townsend. Watch eagles flying from great deck. House host very responsive to any questions or issues. Internet service was intermittent and spotty because of location. Onsite foosball, air hockey ,puzzles and many DVR movies available.

The place is so quiet and peaceful! The view is beautiful. We saw eagles every day. All of the flowers on the property were blooming.

Peaceful and beautiful
We spent a week at this property. It was well kept, very clean, and the view was beautiful. The house is spacious. Our children loved the air hockey, foosball, and other games and toys. The beach is very rocky (as are most in the area) and has sharp shells etc at low tide - so bring the right footwear. We really enjoyed our time and will be back again! Ellen and Lou are responsive to texts and even called the day of check in to see if we had any questions.

Sibling Fest 2022
We enjoyed our stay at this property so much last year that we decided to meet in Brinnon once again this year with my brother and sister and spouses. The house has very large rooms with games, movies and plenty of space for everyone. We bring our food and enjoy delicious meals and great company. Thanks so much!

Very comfortable place to stay in a beautiful location. We are a family of 4 and it was the perfect amount of space. We kayaked and watched the sunrise with coffee on the porch. The owner was easy to contact and very helpful.

This property was a great property for our family. There was plenty of room and allowed for the kids and adults to enjoy the space. Plan ahead for groceries as there is limited access but essentials can be found nearby. The home was well equipped and communication was great.

Peaceful and Quiet
The views from this home are amazing (even in the fog) and we were astounded at the intense quiet that surrounds it. It is easy to imagine it filled with a family with young kids. There is everything from an X-Box (with games) to air hockey and dozens of videos to outside activities to entertain them. Our family group of 5 adults (including 2 seniors) did encounter some challenges. This home does not meet the general guidelines of 'accessible'. Entrance is via 3 steps at the front or a soft dirt path that leads to a no-railing ramp at the back of the house. The shower has no grab bars or seat. There is a grab bar outside of the bathtub in another bath, but you have to step up and over to get in. The three beds on the downstairs level are soft and luxurious by today's standards, but impossible to get into unless you can vault onto a hip-high platform or you have a nimble body and a good step stool. There are some drawers in 3 bedrooms (not the loft) but if you are staying for more than a few days, only 2 of the bedrooms have closets. Others have noted that Internet and television reception is weak. That was our experience as well. At times, it was non-existent. We were able to connect for limited purposes using mobile data on our phone. Our host deserves major praise for her courtesy and thoughtfulness before we checked in and after we arrived. The washer machine failed to drain the first time we used it. The owner responded quickly. When no repair person could come in a timely manner, she purchased a new washer/dryer pair. It was delivered and set up in less than 24 hours! That is really going the extra mile!

This wasour 4th time staying here
Old friends and I try to rent a place for the weekend at least once a year (lost a year with the pandemic), but our first time staying here- we decided that we'd stay here each time we got together if possible. Quiet and well cared for house. We love air hockey way more than we ever realized (the table is taking a battering, but it's still handing in there!). The owners are very communicative, we had a wind storm our first night and the power went out, and they called to make sure everything was alright. We're sure to book it a 5th time in the future.

Amazing place
We absolutely loved the house with a serene view of the water, and the location in the woods, away from city hustle, a couple minutes from front door to the beach. The house had everything we needed, including a well outfitted kitchen with quality pots/pans we used. And - it had no extraneous clutter. We saw eagles, loons and deer. Note: if you plan on grocery shopping, do it along the way, as local store is small and a bit sparse. We really enjoyed Marina in Poulsbo with plentiful Scandinavian delicacies. We also loved the state park trails a short drive from the house, and got gorgeous photos of the temperate rainforest that we thought it would take a longer drive to reach. The property manager called to offer assistance when we were driving in, and gave helpful tips on shopping and dining. Overall, a great experience, and excellent rental. We'd love to return.
