This Colorado property is situated off the beaten path, but convenient to all the town amenities. The home sits at an elevation of 6,867 feet on 11 acres with views to the LaPlata Mountains. Surrounded by various fruit trees, a fish pond, Aspen trees, meditation garden, and wildlife that frequents the property daily.

This is the perfect getaway for a family group of 8 or a couples retreat. The spacious layout provides a dining room and table to seat 8, with a pub table to seat additional guests. Two upstairs master suites with gorgeous views and custom beds. The downstairs includes full size laundry, sauna to accommodate 5-6, two additional rooms and shared bathroom with tub. Covered Parking for two, and space for more vehicles.

Your trip may include destinations to Historic Downtown Durango to visit the world famous Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (8 miles) , a ski-trip at Purgatory Resort (34 miles), hiking, fishing, biking, rafting, shopping, all these activities can be found close to your home-away from home.

We had a family of 6 that ranged from 21 plus to Senior Citizen that stayed at the house. We were no strangers to Durango, but this was my future daughter in-laws first time. We booked this house based on the size/location/charm and it did not disappoint. The pictures do not do it justice since it's a lot larger than we had anticipated. The wild life we saw was simply amazing as we were greeted by deer every morning, and one evening almost ran into 2 bucks while driving in the driveway. Coffee on the deck was so relaxing with an exceptional view as well as watching the many hummingbirds that came to visit. Everyone had plenty of room in the house, and we cooked a few meals in the large kitchen. During the day we planned several excursions, and it was always a warm welcome to return to the cozy house. We spent many mornings drinking coffee on the deck, and the evenings we enjoyed the hot tub. I would definitely book this house again and we hope to return in the near future.

The cabin was clean and functional if a little worn and has great views from all sides of the deck that wraps around three sides of the cabin. Its an easy 15 minute drive into town. We really enjoyed the sauna and found management to be very responsive to any requests.

The hidden gems of this property just kept revealing themselves. Landscaping features, wildlife, goldfish pond, and so many more that I'll let you discover for yourself. Great location thats close to Durango, but also a true mountain retreat. Perfect for families with adult children who have families of their own. A++

We loved the house, the location, and Durango. Plenty of room for all our family. Enjoyed the hot tub, grilled steaks on grill, and admired the view of the San Juan Mountains. Highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful Property. House had everything our family of 8 needed. Plenty of room for everyone. We cooked in several meals including one night of grilling on the deck/patio. The sauna and hot tub were a nice bonus. Beautiful sceneries and wildlife all around us! If you plan to go to hot springs in Durango be sure to pack your own beach towels.

Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect cabin, the views,the covered porch!! We had an amazing time! Just an FYI: the dryer vent is not attached to the dryer.

We enjoyed the cabin and the Durango Area. The cabin fit our family of 7 well with a 1 year old. Clarity on the listing saying there is a playground. We discovered that it is a tree swing which is great, but not a playground. Kitchen was well stocked which was great for cooking!

This property has lots of room and flexibility for accommodating adults, teens and younger children. There are a number of amenities such as hot tub with a great view and wildlife in the property surrounding the house.

My family had a wonderful stay at the cabin while sightseeing in Durango and Silverton. The cabin was just as pictured, clean and well maintained. Highly recommend and we hope to visit again.

Everything was great!!! The location is beautiful and the cabin is amazing. The only thing is that the hot tub was not ready to go when we got there, but was very clean and comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay! The house is beautiful and very roomy. Slept 4 couples very comfortably. House was nicely stocked with all the basics you need. The view of the mountains was gorgeous. Great location and close to town. Owner was very nice and easy to get in touch with if we had any questions.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful cabin. The kids loved the snow and the old arcade machine. My husband and I loved the hot tub and the gorgeous views. The huge dinning table was perfect for family dinners and game nights. Clean and well kept and very tastefully decorated. Would definitely stay there again!

A group of friends were in Durango area for a wedding and stayed in this rental for eight days. The home is very spacious. With eight people staying there we all had plenty of room to relax and enjoy, especially the bride’s parents the week after the wedding. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and the deck was just awesome. Great views, turkey and mules strolling by every day and you could move around the deck to stay in the sun all day. Sunsets were spectacular. There is plenty of parking, even with two campers in the driveway. A fifteen minute drive has you in downtown Durango with no traffic. We had one issue with the dryer but that was on our last day there so no big deal and the owner had someone coming that day to look at it. All in all, this place was perfect for our group.

Amazing place!! It is as beautiful as described. That’s the great part. The not so great? Owner contact was not working (recording said phone was disconnected). This was frustrating because my texts were not answered. There were no check in instructions. No where to report issues (one lamp was broken when we got there). It was frustrating because 7 people were depending on me for info. Oh, no instruction as to WHERE the lockbox was. Got there late, pitch black outside and had to search for the lockbox. Thank goodness VRBO helped me with the code. No thanks to the owner.

I try to meet up with my sisters annually. They all live in Illinois and my wife and I live in oregon. We had a great stay. The cabin was awesome. We spent the majority of our time on the deck, bird watching and enjoying the great September weather. We enjoyed the Durango to Silverton train ride and Mesa Verde. I would recommend this cabin, close to Durango and nice quiet location.

Wonderful place to escape the fast pace of life. Great house, comfortable beds and furnishings, easy drive into Durango. We stayed very busy with activities, but definitely looked forward to "getting home" in the evenings to relax. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and we appreciated their recommendations. Seriously considering their offer to come back and enjoy the house during the winter to see the snow! I strongly recommend this property!!

This place is exactly what we were looking for. Clean and spacious on the inside with a huge deck and spectacular views all around. It is a relatively secluded cabin nestled in the mountains but still provides easy access to and from town. Watching the stars at night while relaxing in the hot tub was a bonus. Host was very nice and accommodating. Would love to stay here again!

What a wonderful time we had at this lovely house! The thoughtfulness of the host covering all of the details, just wow! Plenty of the basics like trash bags, silverware, dishwasher detergent the list goes on and on. It was hot during our stay and the a/c worked great. The views were incredible. The beds were even comfortable, this helped make for a great trip. Thank you!

Our stay was everything we had hoped for. The house was in a beautiful and convenient location. The home owner was very responsive and helpful. The only complaint was the sauna didn’t work and the game downstairs didn’t work. It was not a huge deal for us as it was not the reason we rented the house. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Property was spacious and comfortable. Large deck with great views. Plenty of room to get away from people if needed. We were on motorcycles so a little gravel road between the county road and the paved driveway is a little sketchy but worth the stay. Everything you need to have fun is there waiting for you!

Stunning views from the porch. A ton of snow fell during our visit and we lost power several times. Host was great, checked on us and provided as much support as possible. The pot belly stove was clutch and provided great heat. The house was exceptionally dry, we would stay again but would need to bring a humidifier as we are not used to the this level of dryness. My only other complaint would be the height of the beds. Great for adults but not so much for kids.

We are a family of 8-my husband and I with my son’s family and daughter’s family. This includes a 5 year old and a 7 year old. This cabin was perfect! Plenty of space for everybody. Cozy, homey feel with everything we needed. The view of the mountains from the living room and deck can’t be beat. We had a family of 5 deer walk right up to the house on 2 different days. Really comfortable beds and a pullout couch downstairs with blow up mattress that was ingenious-unusually comfy for a pullout. It was a little chilly downstairs but there was a “fireplace” with heater that warmed things nicely. Lots of tv’s, allowing all to watch what they wanted. We went over the Christmas holiday and they decorated the house nicely, including a beautiful Christmas tree. We loved the place and would recommend it to anybody heading to Durango.
